I like the idea, or at least the thought process behind it. I, however, like EP as it is, and I sit on 3k armor.

Why? You could reduce damage by 50% for 8 seconds instead, and your 3k+ armor would actually help to reduce it even further. If you had protection it would reduce it even further.

I see a patern here… i think you got owned really hard too a skull crack build or something and now you are trying to nerf them, you always posted some good suggestions for warrior, but now you are only making nerf suggestions(and with no really good arguments) to the community, warriors are still the worst class in pvp and suggesting nerfs its going to do anything good for the class, i think its very clear that, so you better decide in wich side you are, either you are supporting warriors or you are now full time necro, if you decide for not support warriors then at least leave the warrior community alone.

About endure pain, it sucks, if anything it needs another buff, 4 seconds immunity could be good if used wiselly but only against melee characters, against the current meta berserker stance its just superior, endure pain its not a god mode button, its very far from thakittens more like a “kitten this is probably my last chance to do something” and it last for too short to be anything abusable for people that dont even know how to use it properly and against the meta it only serves as a stun breaker.

You are using a hammer, a very tanky one for the patern of your post, its ok you want buffs, but like i said to you, hammer build its very viable and there are good players wrecking people with it, but trying to nerf other warrior builds so the hammer builds stand out of the rest is not the way of making any difference, so i beg you to please stop this campaign against other warrior builds, not everyone wants to use a hammer, and not everyone foreces you to use a mace or another weapon.

Not trying to be a stick in the mud, but how are my suggestions a nerf?

Because endure pain 4 sec immunity is good for people that dont run a lot of defense still is not game breaking, and it benefits all of the warriors who wants to use it, now if we remove the immunity for 50% less damage it wouldnt be that good for people that dont run with high armor or toughness so it will become a only usable ability for some builds.

What i agree is that it need lower cd, maybe the stance trait in defence should reduce cd instead in only adding some seconds that dosent make any difference.

The problem is, my version would further benefit warriors who have friends with them. (getting protection for example.) and still be a nice damage sponge but last twice as long. It would improve the function of the skill greatly. It would also work well with our armor.

Not true, it would still be amazing because your still reducing damage with your base armor, it just wouldn’t be as good for people running complete glass. (Full Berserker.)

It would be an amazing skill for defensive, and hybrid (mixing gear.) and team warriors (warriors who are with their team getting boons.)

Right now its good for: Berserker Warriors, Solo Warriors. Like there isn’t enough of them around eh?

For what i heard in the video of the devs giving some builds for the people, they dont like the idea of warriors beign tanks, so i dont thik we are going to see any of that, they said that warriors have other means to dont recieve damage, like blocks, stuns, knock downs, stances in this case, and dodges, its not like other classes dont have that but, well its what they said, so maybe we see some other things added in this matter but i dont think they are going to give warriors passive defenses.

Passive Defense = Permanent Effect. (Protection: 33% Damage Reduction Forever.)
Active Defense = Temporary Triggered Effect. (Damage Reduction for a short period.)
Emergency Defense = Immunity Triggered Effect. (No Damage for a short period, long cool-down.)

Looks like my idea goes well with their plans then. Follow the guidelines of the PAE.

This is what I want.

Endure Pain (60s cd)
Take 50% less damage from attacks. You are still susceptible to conditions and crowd control effects.
Duration: 8 s
Breaks stun

This means if you have high toughness it will work very well for you, but if you have less it will still work, just not 4s immunity, currently the way it is it completely invalidates the toughness stat because your not taking damage. This would also work well with our armor stat.

conditions still go thru endure pain dont they? knockbacks/knockdowns still work against a EP’d war.

i see no logical explanation that EP should get changed aside from you must have gotten 100b by a war that EP’d on you.

No, I mean it should be 50% Damage Reduction for 8 seconds, so stats like toughness and boons like protection work better for it. It would reduce damage by both of those first, then reduce it additionally by 50%. It would still be significant damage reduction, just last twice as long and not work as well for people who go full offensively.

I play a warrior, and I think it would make it a lot better by spreading its power around.

Instead of 100% damage immunity, 50% damage Immunity that lasts 8 seconds or 25% damage immunity that lasts 16 seconds, this means boons like protection/and stats like toughness work for it better so people who just go full zerker and win don’t get to win anymore.

Maybe also add a -25% Stance trait?

Cause confusion for 5 seconds on critical hits, and hammer attacks have torment built into the autoattack and 4.

So you want hammer to be OP, there are already very good players with a hammer than can kill very effectively with it.

No, I want it to have a condition so the condition damage will work with it. Beating someone with a hammer should confuse them, so it makes sense.

Or maybe there is more to Sylvari than just being a Courtier, Dreamer and Soundless. I would like to know more about Scarlet.

She isn’t a courtier, because shes doing nothing to spread Nightmare, courtiers and Nightmare influenced Sylvari all have urges to spread it, which means capturing dreamers and converting them, or attacking the Pale Tree in an attempt to turn her as well. She also wouldn’t be so involved with other races, because honestly the Court has no interest in them, they don’t see the truth.

She is way too involved with humans. She seems soundless more then anything, or a part of another tree altogether.

She isn’t a dreamer, because honestly … well look at her intentions, mother would not accept such a thing!

The ideas aren’t bad, but the power difference between them is huge for a single trait.

I like traits that you can make builds around without breaking the current ones.

Reduce the damage you can take in WvWvW by up to 5k every second, this is to all conditions, retaliation, physical damage, everything.

Nobody should be instantly killed by a 30 man zerg, at least give people a chance to react.

This would also make WvWvW a bit less laggy.

Well, the whole LS gets more and more “open questions” that can hardly be solved altogether. I’m fearing that some of them just end up forgotten.

Some examples:
Leader of the Molten Facility?
Consortium? Bad or not? Only corrupt or also behind some crime actions?
Leader of Aether Pirates? Thought it was May Lin, but apparently they still have some commanders (Sylvari – or is she even the leader?)
Who’s this “E”?

What I want to say is:
We don’t know if this Sylvari is the main antagonist or just another commander that will gets arrested at the end of the update.

So yeah, all we get of the entire content.. no weapons, no armor, no story. Just a villain that isn’t even a Nightmare Courtier, sounds like the end of Southsun where the villain was some crazy dreamer.

Them stacking was actually a bug, it gave one handed weapons a very unfair advantage over two-handed ones so they changed it so they no longer stack is what I believe happend. (Although, I think this was in beta.)

None of the updates in the game besides the base game have mentioned anything about Sylvari or Nightmare or Meguumi Jungle. Every other race has gotten at least a little spot-light.

I agree with most of what is suggested, but:
- Auto attack range should NOT be increased to 150, it should stay 130.
- Earthshaker range could go to 900, but 1200 is WAY too much.

I suggest big changed and let the devs figure out the rest. I agree it should be more but maybe 1200 is a bit much?

The reason Auto-attack should be 150 is because of the way the animations are, and the fact that some attacks are 150.

Consistency is a HUGE part of the game, imagine swinging thinking your hammer has 150 range because your last attack did, and missing.

All attacks should be the same range.

The hammer also has a strong hidden after-cast on some of the attacks, making chaining them very hard.

If something is too strong, it doesn’t matter if it is intended design or not. A nerf is a reduction in overall power, and this needs it.
But then again, a mere 15% increase does seem a bit short on pretty much all short-duration stuns. “Look at” is the best term, yes.

Well, it just seems much better then the other Sigils in terms of power. Bringing it down to 10% like the other sigils would be lovely.

Looks like some people want the hammer to be faster and not just have to use frenzy. Hammer is the most destructive weapon out there for warrior with some good timing. I used a standard cc build…mace/shield-hammer, but the traits are what you need: Merciless Hammer, Desperate Power and Empowered. (full lyssa rune set) it can be a little risky, but it just about kills anything in one burst. Wait until the halfway point, pop your elite (might want to stick with SOR.) Throw skullcrack on your opponent, pop frenzy, swap to hammer, and just drive your opponent’s head into the ground. XD It’s great in pve and pvp as well. BUT it does get a little predictable if you happen to fight the same people.

It feels off on the 3 part of the 1 chain, and the ‘4’ roots you and feels clunky as all heck.

The ‘5’ should cleave and be a little faster like the mace knockdown, it cleaves and hits twice to get through aegis.

As for requiring more damage on hammer, you do realize the AA chain does more damage than the greatsword. No the greatsword doesn’t attack faster either, both weapons have a 1/2 second cast time on their AAs.

The aftercast makes it slightly slower, but nowhere near as slow as people say it is.
A complete chain is ~10% slower than an GS chain. That is kinda offset by the fact that the chain deals almost 50% more raw damage.

The problem is the great-sword is more of a complete weapon, sides its burst skill.

No clue what you’re talking about. It’s a + %15 duration and is working as such. It makes the 3 sec skull crack (which requires direct melee range to land and uses up a full adrenaline bar) into a 3.45 sec stun and that increased duration only matters if the target doesn’t break out of it and eats the entire duration (not often). No idea how that consists of “god mode” in your opinion, sounds to me like you aren’t running proper stun breakers or don’t know how to kite warriors, got owned a feel times and a made a post with made up numbers.

So do I but I don’t use mace, I’ll take your word for it though. Pretty sure that’s not intended so it doesn’t need to be “nerfed” it needs to be fixed as it’s not working properly. But then again, neither are half of runes/sigils so don’t hold your breath.

I didn’t ask for it to be nerfed. I just wanted it to be looked at a bit. I would like other sigils to be a bit more viable if this kind of powerful effect remains in the game.

um.. nevermind.. I actually DID say it to be nerfed… there I changed it.

Do you happen to know if the stun is still improved if you stun the opponent then swap weapons that don’t have the sigil on? E.g. sigil on mace, then swap to GS.

Also, you should try dodging skull crack. It has quite the wind-up. You can run through your opponent to cancel it too (which is pretty easy since he’s likely running at you in an attempt to land it).

If your opponent is an Asura, skull crack looks exactly like the mace auto-attack.

No clue what you’re talking about. It’s a + %15 duration and is working as such. It makes the 3 sec skull crack (which requires direct melee range to land and uses up a full adrenaline bar) into a 3.45 sec stun and that increased duration only matters if the target doesn’t break out of it and eats the entire duration (not often). This rune is +15% to stun effects, although it says 15%, because of the way it works, it raises the stun by 1 second.

For example, with this rune the dreaded Skull Crack everyone loves goes to 4 seconds from 3. This is the very reason Tactical Strike was nerfed in the first place, however the funny thing is, Skull Crack is better, since it lasts twice as long, and Tactical Strike was nerfed into oblivion.

However, the problem was not these abilities, it is just simply how powerful Sigil of Paralyzation is, it turns balanced traits into godmode ones and makes people call balance in every aspect of a class.

Honestly, I am not a big fan of Stuns and Fears, I believe that CC should all be unique, I like CC like Immobilize and Disarm (Able to move, but can’t attack.) because they are much more balanced in the sense that you can still do something.

I am suprised for a game like this you didn’t add more CC, like a condition that makes your movement all backwards would be fun.

When they give Warrior’s Perma-Protection built right into our weapons and easy ways to get it, better traits that heal you when you gain a strike of adrenaline or traits that just heal you passively. Blocks and Evades built straight into our weapon skills and Conditions like chill and immobilize and other CC based conditions…

Having 1s blocks built into our hammer attacks and getting evades when we burst, while having good CC and protection built into our attacks…

I will gladly give you the benefit of the doubt, however right now everything we have to ranger is pretty much sub-par, we also don’t have much crowd control without putting everything into it, or using skull crack + sigil of needs nerfed.
