dude, when i HAVE tested it a few days ago, or some weeks at most, it pw was 1 second and 3/4, also the stun was buffed from a useless 1/4 to a more reasonable 1/2
overall it is nice ! i hope it is not too OP now… for 5 init is quite ok
also the damage starts from 300 and goes up to 2.5k on last hit, is that too much for you ?? on my side is another damage nerf but a bit more utility
seems a-net has done something usefull for a change, i am glad
also now quickness is not needed to actually do damage with it !

dude, if you hit for 7-10k at 1200/1500 range, it is more than NORMAL so we do MORE damage as melee !
dealing 10k even more till 25k, on each of 2 targets or more in the same time at 1200/1500 range is not considered OP, NO SIR, NO ….
this video makes the thief BS build just a f-ing useless toy !
i also want an insta-gib 20k shot with 5sec recharge. A-net ? WHY you hate thieves so much and uber pimp warriors ??? kitten unbalanced game…
5-9k on each damage for the channeled skill, and me with pistols i barely do 2-3k…. this is SO fail… i rage again, yes.

yep, i also have this problem, i activate SR, then after 3 seconds i die due to ppl still channeling/or knockbacks and i get instant out of SR/and other attacks that keep the target still on me, and rarely sometimes stealth doesn’t even bother to activate even if i am in SR. and yes, you see ppl transparent a bit (they are in stealth but you can see them). working as intended, right ?
i dont understand, i as a condition build thief with 3.3k armor and 18khp (in mists) i eat bs builds easly. and they can’t kill me too easy either. so, where is the problem here?
you die in 2 seconds in wvw? how bout i dont care about your WvW fights ? (you use bonuses/eat stuff which is not balanced in the first place if you have none)
the ONLY thing where you can complain is random pvp in mists or spvp.end. and NO, bs doesn’t hit 10k+ on light even maxed out
say hello to the nukes from orbit that A-net are doing, doing more nerfing that is intended (see PW) where i do more damage (without quickness) from autoattack than form the skill itself: so why spend my initiative on it ???,

there was pvp dude in mists. so, when we spike and kill ppl in 2 seconds IS a problem. If we also die in 2 seconds is NOT a problem. If we CAN’T KILL a bunker, is also NOT a problem. wtf ?

1. we were 2x condition thieves, and NO, we dont have stuns.
2.we cond builds should have NO chance to take a bunker down ???
also our burst was nerfed to the ground, so, ALSO bunkers should be nerfed to compensate !
i BELIVE bunker builds like elementalist/guardian etc. SHOULD also be nerfed.
if we are 2 vs 1, we can’t kill one bunker/ if we are 3, it is really hard.
bunker builds are really hard to break. they should be nerfed imo.

i pvp-ed with a friend 1 vs 1 on empty servers. i learned a lot, me and him. true story.
it is a good ideea, but i doubt it can be implemented so fast. also landing the same backstab twice in 10s, you must be really PRO, or the target very stupid… also the CD of the imobilize vennom is rather high.
better break the combo(add casting time to steal and to bs) steal(mug)backstab+CnD/hs/etc. and nerf the backstab a little too

and yes, all the patches have stealth attribute if you can see, lol
i think thief is too OP in some situations, we fight, then he stealths, i die, game over …
the burst build(s) have taken the nerfbat pretty heavly the last few patches.

i am more inclined that the devs are nerfing based on number of whine threads and posts, than on actual statistics, which makes me sad …

lol @ condition thieves making fun of BS thieves… Condition thief is more faceroll than backstab. You can remove everything from your screen except caltrops and your 3 key and still kill a group of people solo. ROFL

on topic: i would like the devs to balance other builds too (and the ones from other classes), so we can have an alternative where to go (or we roll mesmers/warr etc. and everybody will be happy)

i would really want a compensation for nerfing, in other areas. not just nerf and voila, you can play without an arm and a leg, have fun ! (just the 6+nerfs in a row, inclding the dagger storm),i considered the signet thing a welcome buff-nerf.

THammering 3 until you run out of initiative is essentially no different then just auto attacking in terms of fun, and it still means that you are left auto attacking while your initiative regenerates. .
wait, did’t they nerfed the skill by 15%? now the autoattack must be nerfed too ???
on topic: how about some trap love ? i find myself difficult to use them, and also for some reasons, when stepping on the far edge of the trap, it dissapears without apliying the effects to the user (victim)-(either bug, or aegis blocks trap effects or a doge through?). i also feel they are sub-par with other skills, and a bit more difficult to use/apply to the target properly.

each 1 point of might does 5% dmg, ok
put 15 stacks of might = +75% more damage ? how about that ?
(just activate 3 signetstrait)

ok, you are right then, so what you do propose ? nerf backstab, and then when the stealth fix comes, we rebuff the thief?
also i don’t get it, glass cannons thieves are my favorite food at pvp
i don’t understand how you can be killed by them, some tried, but either they restealthed, or died horribly. but then again, it is just me and my build.

This proves that the base damage of backstab is AT LEAST almost 5k damage.
All this assuming, obviously, that the thief was running with the highest damage boost possible, was on full initiative and that the screenshot was taken pre-nerf. If one of those conditions aren’t true, the base damage is even higher.
how about you go test your useless opinion in pvp and let me know of the results.
10×. (not WvW because it’s broken, just the random pvp in the mists)

so far you only point that the thieves, and not any other builds that have spike dmg.

Warrior rifle only has any use to pick off squishies in wvw if no one focuses you. I don’t think there is much comparison between thief power and rifle warrior power in s/tpvp.

because of ppl are always complaining about the thief profession, and we always get nerfed without any really balance to other areas, i stopped playing gw2. do you guys feel better now that very few thieves do play (s)pvp? i hope you are satisfied and happy with yourselves. good fight!

in my humble opinion, cond removal should be Nerfed on all classes.
if i am exlusive bleed build thief (death blossom), and go against a guardian that has 2 skills with cond removal, then it is game over: either we fight and i die, or i run.
is this OK from your side ??? (cond removal should remove max 5 stacks of 1 type in my opinion)
trait: each signet thats gets activated gets you 5 stack of might for 5 seconds
x3signets = 15 might + steal bonus of 2 and from stealth you get 17+
+backstab on a noob with 1500armor, and crit him , and +105%crit dmg
omg omg. i received 30k dmg on 1 hit, clearly op…must…nerf…
also we assume he didn’t cheat on the picture, and got naked before the blow
later edit: i love my thief, but nerf week after week after week becomes really frustrating. (why i have to change my gear and play-stile for the most optimum performance every week just because someone is ALWAYS whining about thief being OP in one area or the other)
i am really not in the mood to raise another lvl 80 char…

glass cannon builds (except thief) should have +50% more HP, and +50% more armor imo
