Wvw is about scouting, siege refreshing and comunication. Usualy it’s done by few player who sacrifice their time and fun so much more others plalyers(zerg) can think are winning the week match pvding. No love for those who, maybe, stand in home bl waiting for the storm coming or in the upgraded keep ready to call for the zerg when the enemy knocks at the door but they are ones who make the difference.

Remember, whatever class you choice, to have food buffs. Don’t forget, if you can, to have at least a majjor bloodlust buff if you are going out there. Stack all 25 sigil icons killing as many mobs you can before engaging anyone and fortitude stack killing guards. And the last and more important tip is to have, you must, a full ascended gear: weapon, jewelry, armor, don’t forget the night hat. I promise you’ll be the best roamer of the world especially vs those one who don’t have any of theese. cheers

you say you can play without teamspeak but you are chatting with ppl who doesn’t believe you. why? because they can ear and can’t believe something can be done without the use ears. every day they log ts and don’t use any other way to comunicate so in their mind there’s no other option.

you say ignorance but the only way to “educate” ppl is to make them deaf. (i’m too dratic i know). do you want to “educate” all? you know you can’t do that you must act first so find a guild, a grp of players not using ts and have your fun.

PS: i never use ts and i think you can play without that with some practice and chatting about strategies before tourney.

engies are not that hard to counter in skyhammer, i have much more problems with necros and thieves. the real problems are:
1) skyhammer itself
2) pulling from stealth

First, few traits and gear for 1vs1. Wvw was not done for 1vs1 so, if someone is not traitede for that is not doing that bad, don’t complain.

Second, many ppl don’t want to get farmed by farmers who have, maybe, full ascended gear, ascended weapons, ascended trinkets, ascended underwear, full sigil stack, food buff …. vs ppl who have exotic, don’t farm adds to have full sigil stack and food is the “stuff” they eat when gw2 is turned off.

If you want not running players go spvp but, you know ,there food is not allowed and gear is the same for everyone.

I don’t know about pvp but this forum is surely dead. Few topic, few answers and same discussion going.

You can report and can be banned for verbal abuse but not for popping up an icon and building sieges.

in war you always try to attack the weak side to gain the max and lose the min: supplies, man, equipment…

Not good as a decapper, hammer 4 has a low range knockback and rifle knockback is easly detectable, especially when with a rifle you try to melee.

I would have gone to phisical skills like “kick” and “stomp” , “fear me” shout. mace and shield instead of hammer to have survivability.

Keep Waypoint kills wvw.
The thought wvw is pve kills wvw.
Ascended gear kills wvw.
No tactic kills wvw.
The line between spvp and wvw kills both.

1vs1 on a circle is a matter. 1vs1 is totally onother matter.

I could go further. The game is what a game is not what a game would be. Make an effective build, a build with a purpose and play it. You don’t like, do you? DON’T JOIN THE ARENA MATCHES RUINING THE GAME FOR ALL OTHER PLAYERS.
Do other stuff or leave the game like all other players are doing, when all ppl will leave maybe devs will change the pvp in a way you like and you can come back, see it in this way.

Ruining the game of 5vs5 matches to solve the problems of 4vs5?

Somewhere i red it’s 50% damage reduction but the tooltip doesn’t say that.
Nowhere is written how log it last.
No icons appear, in and out of combat, when you trait it, so you can say “hey it works”.
Nothing change in your hero pannel Stat.

Is it Working? If it works the damage reduction is 50%? How long it last?

In certain matches a team can totaly change the course of the fight overturning it. If you decrease the point this will hardly happen. I don’t agree.

When you know how to play, i mean strategy and map movement, ppl does what they think will bring’em to victory. If you don’t share the same strategy or tactic to win you cannot force other ppl to act the way you do or think. An open minded person uses the other strategies to achieve the goal instead of forcing and yelling at ppl. Thkere isn’t an only way to victory.

can anyone explain me why? i don’t get it. why remove the glory if you don’t immediately add the new feature? it surely won’t happen before a month and maybe further.

So if people play sPvp and expect pvp mechanic, wich includes 1vs1 for the most, is player’s fault?

If people want to measure their skill or make a leaderboard of pvp “skill” among player base without including other players it is player’s fault?

If people wants a build wich suits their gameplay and give the chance to counter any builds out there is player’s fault?

Player’s fault cause the term “pvp” contains all these states and they just require theme? I can agree with you when sPvp will be named in other way but people playing pvp expect pvp.

wvw and pve are other worlds compared to pvp. knowing your class there doesn’t mean anything in spvp. the only tip i can give you is: check your build and compare to working builds in spvp. build diversity in spvp doesn’t work. there are working builds and sucking ones. pick up first.

not all the warriors got stability like not all the classes got it as well. it’s the build diversity. you can have a stun break to balance your build, but surwly you can’t build you character just to counter a spamming knockback broken profwssion

It’s human behaviour. The more they talk the more they suck. It’s about ego, it’s really big with no real skill. Talking seems compensate their lost putting out of themselves of circle of bad player. Problem solved, others suck!

I main a ranger and i have tried all the builds possible on that, power, signet, zerker, bM, spirit i like to change and try all the builds in a charter just to find new playstile and have fun. I play Thief, warrior, Engineer as well (i have already said i play engineer before but you don’t read). Anyway i can’t be accused to play only cheesy build to have an easy life. When i say a decap engy is gamebreaking and no countered, i know what i’m taling about. And to be clear, builds linked before and videos are not a decap build, a good decapper uses rifle and flamethrower with 15sec cd( no traited) on knockdown skills, the other skill are on choice: bomb for heals, toolkit for a block and a pull, or maybe a thumper turret. Rifle and flamethrower got no animation and no castin, are istant….where’s the noticeable skill? and even if would be noticeable the spamm is so high you would get out of endurance. I have already siad that but ,again, you don’t read.
You stated this build is very frustrating to play against, it’s true. It’s a big issue, ppl must have fun playing a game and when you stay 90% of the time on the ground is not fun at all and in a game like gw2 that already got problems with players management…
At moment i’m playing this build i’ll lame and annoy ppl until something will be done.
Ppl inventing builds… to be hones i’m the really one who invented the light bulb, really.
I’m not vs a bunker engy, it’s a game machanic good or bad i’m not here to state that and the point of the topic isn’t bunkering, for me angies could even be the new guardian. I’m here to say that decap engies must be nerfed for knockback spam only.
AR is a problem as well but is a problem shared with other classes.

I think people know what they are talking about. I just do not think you understand what the real problem is. So you want to utterly rip apart the engineers abilities because it takes two people to take a node?

In the past engis only had one role for a team and that was to roam. Unfortunately that is not the best class at it. Now that engis adapted to all the the crappy AI, and warrior meta you want us to get nerfed? Are you serious? Cant we be the be the best option for something for once?

Give it some time. People will counter and when they do, the cycle will repeat and their will be players just like you crying for a nerf and start a thread just like this one.

Spotted! Decap engi user. It’s all about counter, there’s no counter to that build and to the role he plays. I’m not saying the engy must not have a role but there must be a counter to that role and many in this discussion have proved it without counting the ones who paly it. I play it, i’m not good at it but i say it needs a nerf. Now what i stated in the post before is that all suggestions have been proposed are not the point but to counter, again, it you have to do something about cc spam. I’ve played against Grouch on a decap engi in team Q. I assume that decap engis are perfectly valid in Anet’s eyes.

Just wanted to pop in here and mention that one of the ways for us to access a build’s strength is to get in and play it ourselves. Grouch playing decap doesn’t correlate with the balance team thinking this build is in a good place in sPvP. You’d be surprised how some of us feel about it in reality.

I thought you guys should know I’m writing an e-mail to the team as we speak about its prevalence and perception in the game. You guys have done a great job messaging out against the build, it’s gotten our attention. No promises on things changing about this build in the near future but you might see some things get better/worse with the secret changes coming in for the feature build that will potentially address this.

Thanks again for all the discussion on various topics. It may seem as if we don’t read these forums anymore but in reality we have a very loaded patch we’ve been slaving on for the past few months.

No matter how long it will take to get the best gear there will be always ppl who grind and ppl who do not grind. I didn’t like the discussion about “hey it’s not that hard to get this or that, i did it why you can’t do that?”. Many ppl do not have much time to play (work, real life, bla bla and bla) and every layer is onother pain in the axx.The point here is, i guess, adding layer over layer of gear will increase the gap between them. Food was a layer, ascended trinket was as well, but the trend the game is following doesn’t go after the statement of some developer wich the threand opener posted.

Both ways are legit but if we must follow the original idea i have to say no to ascended weapon, gear and even trinkets.

Gaming a lot and several games you meet a lot of dumbs-self considering smart-aXX holes- jerxxx. So you get used to them like fever or having a cold, there are and you cannot do anything, perhaps if he/she would be just there…...

The image is just an example like many other but a few question came in my mind.

1) Is that true? you can log out if you think you lose a match and you save your rank?

if true it solve the riddle of so many 4vs5 matches where ppl care only of ranking and not of playing for fun or team.

2)How can players deal with ppl like that?

Report is just useless and i think the best way to avoid theese scammers is the game itself with game mechanics, not the intervention of admin or any other “guardian” of the game. Logging out should not keep safe from losing rank and should be punished like losing glory and other rewards will be avaible in next days.

I have just ended a tournamet where i got in my team a rank 3 and a rank 9 vs a full team of rank 30 at least.

Bug confirmed. Same issues but i don’t get any stack, at all, not only when i’m downed. In pvp is not annoying but worse. Totally ruins many builds counting in that sigil.
The issues at least for me came with the 30th april patch.

I have the sigil on both weapons set so can’t be that.
Until the patch worked perfectly without experiencing the bug posted by you, but, assuming the bug listed is right, the stack should pop up , at least, in the first match of the day. This doesn’t happen, even when i log in, out, left and right. I have stored and picked up again the weapons and applied the sigil again but nothing changed. Any other suggestion?

I got problems with this sigil. It’s doesn’t activate at all when i kill. Not in tournaments nor hotjoin. The issue is only with my ranger, when i log the engineer it works properly.
Has anyone met this bug already? Can help me? oooor isn’t this a bug and i’m doing something wrong?

Finally i got it.
Bleeds are OP cause they do lot of damage and reta is not op cause you simply need not to attack. You target will die bored and you win.

In the real world.
Bleed can be removed as condition with skills every class got. Reta could be removed if you have the proper skill, if you don’t have call your friend. I think it’s OP when you need 2 player to kill one saying more you even get killed. In this way the bunker becomes the best dps. bho

Looking for w3 italian guidl. If possible running many ppl during w3 raid: i don’t like be zerged. Must not ask, al least at the beginning, th represent. I hate annoying ppl e we must know. I have got 3 charcter full exotics, they have even dates in pockets: warrior, ranger, thief. I can use mumble, ts, ventrilo and walkie talkie to listen to several leader and commanders. I love ppl complaining about offensive thief skill when the problem is totally different: defensive skills. Stealth, stealth regen, removing condition in stealth and all allow thief to go with offensive gear. Same gear on all other class, but mesmer, means death in 2 seconds as soon as you put your nose out of starting door. Thief doesn’t need a lot of armor or health when stealth is his own armor, with all the skills concerning that.
