After last night, just so you guys know..some of us PC users have joined you in this lag problem. I was running to Crag in our BL from spawn. I missed a jump and landed face first at the bottom of the cliff at full health, ran to the gate of Crag then died from the fall. The scout on duty actually rezzed me. No idea how that worked. Sadly, it then happened again another time with no rez. After another round of disconnects, and skills circling after hitting them for 30 seconds or more, I gave up and left game.

Soo.. last night my mezmer was stuck with only Scepter/Focus while on the pad, after being ported in for a second round, following a few failures from the other lanes. We were fighting the clockwork that breaks into two and REALLY could have used my being able to ~ over to my staff. Once we failed the event, and right before I died, I landed in Lane 3, where I started, and was able to ~ swap right before I died.

I asked about this in TS. Someone said it was a known bug, but I cannot find anything about it in the forums. I bugged it in game, but, you know “Dont expect a personal responce to bug reports.”

Anyone have a workaround if it happens again?

I am guessing you guys noticed the quaggans were also gone?

You must be on a server that does not have queues into EBG. With DB and the servers we fight against, its more like trying to have a picnic in the middle of the pathway of 40-70 man zergs.

If you kick it out they are not taking it and using for their fun. They usually kick it back to you… They will help you not interrupt you. Frankly, depending on how busy it is, YES. They will wander in and take food and drink, saying, “OOOPS, I thought this was part of function z over that away.” Can’t tell you how many times parents have had to chase down a ruffian who stole a child’s ball who was playing with it peacefully. And, in some areas, Yes, you will be told to go somewhere else because your loud partying is disturbing others.

Every guild doing GvGs (at least I know) , is playing WvW all the time.
But when they meet for 1 hour a day ( or god forbid 3 hours over 3 days) to do GvGs it’s destroying WvW? Are you sure? Really?

WvW is a game type that we believe very strongly in. We’ve seen that people have been organizing their own combat in WvW and that’s really cool, but WvW requires changes that are not always in step with the gameplay that has been emerging. Our focus is on making WvW as strong as it can be and we will continue to make changes with that in mind. We have been and will continue to discuss these open field battles, but in the meantime the changes we make to WvW will always have that game type first and foremost in mind.

Notice he said nothing about GvG. However, taking part of the WvW space and saying “This is our bubble of real estate in a very small area of WvW. No one come inside of it or attack us because we are GvGing”, is taking the gameplay space that that the WvW team developed for all WvW players and would be out of step with how they planned on the space being used.

Or to put it another way.. Can I come over to the state park that has a picnic area, tape off and take over a portion of it and tell everyone to stay out because I am having a private function?

I stopped reading right there. Sorry. My personal solution? Check to see what list price to sell on BLTC is (y), add it to the vendor value(y). Divide by 10 (z=(x+y)/10). (This moves the decimal one place to the left.) Round up and add that number to make the price I have to sell the item in the BLTC for. (A = x+y +z). If the current offer value from players on the BLC is less than A, I decon it for mats. (If I see the item selling for 1c above vendor, I dont bother with the math.) I am deconning a LOT, LOT, LOT right now. Probably 90-95%. Even rares.

Sounds hard, is actually pretty easy and fast.

The other half was a trade agreement with the Zephyrites, which, hands down, Evon had more experience handling. Yaks are a significant percentage of the score, and the popular opinion is that each Yak is worth 1 point per player who tags it up to 3 points max. Yaks also reward points for finishing their routes.

Ok..our server is constantly getting whalloped with huge zergs. I see, sometimes 4-8 times a night, “why do we not have the outmanned in this BL or EB”?

If Anet counts seige against the number of players on the other side, it would explain the difference. If they count said seige tho, could we have numbers, like

1 golem counts as 10 players
1 AC counts as 3
etc?

Up until Tues, my guardian felt pretty solid in WvW with a 0/0/10/30/30 build. After 4ish days, I am looking at changing out how I am built. Any suggestions for a bunker/heal build that can handle 1v1s also? I end up slapping yaks a lot.

I know this post is from 7 months ago. Did Erika get a solution? I have the same problems on a brand new machine. Interestingly enough, the hissing goes away when I pull up the map ingame. It also helps when I turn off the Reflections to Terrain and Sky, but the hiss just gets lower, does not go away. However, I just started doing Fractals and have had my computer reboot right in the middle of the Jade thing two days in a row. I have now tried max graphics in Lord of the Rings, Perfect World, and Star Wars, the Old Republic with no problems. REALLY makes me think it is a problem with the game graphics and my EVGA GeForce GTX 660.

Would it be possible when doing searches to have the date and time of post show up in the results?

Currently, its hard to tell when I hit “Dev Tracker” to tell when current day posts end and ones I looked at previously start. So, sometimes I end up going back days when all I really need is the posts for today and maybe yesterday. Other days, I check more than once a day and only need to look at those since I last checked.

While I agree with most of your post, on this, we disagree. If you can only pick up the salvage item ONCE PER ACCOUNT PER DAY, it really does not matter if it spawns every 30 seconds. For all practical purposes, the periscopes spawn ONCE per day per location.

OK .. WvWvW neophite questions here. If they are from the enemy, you can destroy them right? So you can prevent them from burning up your resources if they are left from the other side. But if a person is willing to pay for a second account, pay gems to transfer a bot char to one of the opposing sides servers each week, potentially you could use that bot to build resources in some hidden area locking the home server from building trebouchets and rams? Does not sound like playing fair, but also does not sound like an exploit. (At least, that was what I was told when I asked why a person from an oposing server could get invited in to a home servers group.) Solution for that, make it so Commanders maybe, or ever player has the option to right-click, destroy siege weapons. Cor, that also means that the above player could fund his bot to Commander and use his bot to destroy that servers seige weapons.

Well, every game I play, I play the AH market with, well, basically other peoples junk. In this game, I have been running in the 800-900 items listed area. Looks like we have the market flooded on most green and blue items. SOME white items are currently selling for more than double their sell to NPC value. The only thing that is making any coin pretty much is rare and above, and some of those the Ectos they may contain are worth more than the item.

Recently, like the past two weeks, everything green and blue I looked to list was selling for one copper over sell to vendor. So, I am taking off the market practically all my green and blue items and deconning, hoping for the rare crafting mats to level up my TS alts. I am currently down to 600ish, with more deconning planned.

Anyone else feel like the decon kit is worth more than listing besides me?

From what you are saying, I can get the side chest, in EVERY EVENT, on my Gaurdian on:

His home server (Dragonbrand)
Guest server 1 (Jade Quarry)
Guest server 2 (Maguuma)

How exactly does that lower the people who get stuck in overflow on their home server trying to get the only dragon chest they have time for per day?

Try this option:
- You get one guaranteed rare (or better) per event per day per account GAMEWIDE from an extra chest that will be displayed like the chest for the dailies and will only spawn ONCE PER EVENT GAMEWIDE. Everything else in the event chest is based on normal drop chance, so there is a chance to get rares (or better) as well.

This will reduce swapping servers just to farm the dragons and allow people a better chance to get into the dragon loot on their home servers.

Hopefully that is close to what you mean. If so, yes, you are right. The guesting is causing problems. It really upsets me when I try to go to an event on my home server and spend the entire event in overflow, then zone in the the regular zone to see the gear being posted, because the guests left and allowed room for me to get out of overflow. I can’t imagine how it would be to have bounties like that. My guild is not even big eno to get started on the bounty system. With 4-5 daily active players, maxing 12-15 on weekends, we are only at t4 on Art of War and may actually get to do something besides bounties by maybe December 2014 at the rate we accumulate influence.

My best suggestion tho, would be two things. First, check http://guildwarstemple.com/dragontimer/ and your server before you get a bounty going. Second, get everyone in your guild into the zone and out of overflow, BEFORE you spawn the bounty quest. I never realized they were on a timer. I cant tell you how many times I have been ikittenone, /mapped that I saw a person who was a bounty and either, no one was looking for it, or only one person was hunting the bounty. It makes it seem more weird that one person spawned it for just themselves to hunt.

Did you /bug it in game? You are tons more likely to get it taken care of, even if they dont answer. and then you put this in the BLTC forums. Try the bug forums. Ummm..need a link.

The bots were stomped, true, but I never saw any repercussions to those who 1. bought items from the bots on BLTC (removing those crafting mats/items from the game) which would actually harm honest customers of BLTC and Anet or 2. benefitted from transactions with the bots (think where they put their gold, the gem market, which then actually reduced the price of gems to everyone.) Plus.. smart gold sellers would transfer the gold/mats to other valid accounts and use hacked accounts to farm on. (I remember seeing in EQ where people had bottles of water, worth a copper, listed for 1g to move money from a gold seller to a gold buyer.)

You should have received an in-game mail directing you to the areas which you need to explore: Wayfarer Foothills and Diessa Plateau.

You should see a refugee camp in Lion’s Arch, near the Farshore Waypoint. By speaking to the refugees, you will discover that they’ve lost some items on their journey to Lion’s Arch. You can help them out by finding these lost items. Initially, you will see two refugees. Yeah.. uhhh.. about that.. My Charrdian got a letter from Rytlock directing him to report to Black Citadel with a hint of people to talk to in Lions Arch and WF/DP. But the refugee coordinator in BC sent me back to Lions Arch, (not a small zone), while the heralds in Lions Arch sent me to WF/DP, with no direction where to go once I got there.. The information was too generic and confusing at that time, so I just set off to figure out all the other changes. Will see if it looks less confusing today.

Just curious. ANet guys, you do know why most games patch between 3-6 AM? So that some can get the patch downloaded early and then the hit on the download servers is smaller. Instead, this one hit as the East and Central time zone players got home from work/school. So EVERYONE is downloading the patches at the same time.

Actually, I wish they would look at the price listed for some of their drop items. The components will cost 1s 30c (according to ANet’s own value to sell/buy from merchant), yet the combine will only yield an item worth 30 c because it also is on the loot table to drop from mobs.

I also would find this helpful, expecially on the Dev Tracker, as it only shows dev posts, not that they came from a week ago.

The market with mats will ultimately fail at some point because of this:

1. Who ads the value to mats ? Crafters
2. So who is the target group for purchasing materials ? Crafters
3. Is crafting viable ? In global point of view NO. 90% crafted items are not profitable
4. people will soon realise that the crafting is not profitable
5. The target group for purchasing mats will dissapear
6. The market with mats will collapse

or maybe not because max crafting is also achievment so people will level crafting only because of that and its a pain to collect all mats so they will buy them from TP

Just throwing out there, (and, I have never seen this from ArenaNet), that in EVERY other game I have played, sooner or later the devs say crafting is designed as a MONEY and time SINK, not to make people rich. HOWEVER, they have also said that crafters usually have MORE money, due to producing stuff.

For me, I craft not to be rich per say, but so I can have gear when I want it, at a price I want, and, heck,, Anet LETS ME GET XP FOR IT. (Interesting side note, a friend went from zero to 400 cooking yesterday, and gained 15 levels.) My guildies say I am usually the guy, in every game, who has money while they run around broke.

I will say that, as long as people are joining the game, or creating alts, or, in this game, changing professions, materials will always have a market, voiding your points 5 and 6.

I am poor in real life. So why would I want to role play as poor?

So, you do not feel as rich as in WoW. It almost sounds like you had 30K gold there and dont feel rich in this game without those kinda numbers. What metric are you using? Say, a piece of ore. If it sells for 3 copper to a merchant in this game and 30 gold in the other game, would that not mean that your 30 silver here is worth 30K gold in the other game? (Pure fictitious comparison, as I dont know what currency is used in WoW, much less the copper to gold ratio.)

I am sorry. You miss WoW. You feel the graphics are subpar in this game. (They are awesome as far as I am concerned btw.) Your friends are not playing with you any more. And your wife refuses to play this game with you. I actually play Lotro a couple days a week so I can see the friends I have been playing with for year, as they refuse to move on from that game after investing in EQ and leaving it.

But, do not fault a good economy for you own feelings of failure.

Dont feel bad that management torpedoed your design on the jump puzzle by making it many many players instead of one. I tried it like 5 times and decided it was not for me. I get thru a puzzle thru determination, looking around for the best jump point, trying over and over again, not speed, so I am not the right one to complete it. That being said, the design was fun to try and cosmetically awesome. The youtube vids completing it show how a more persistent player could complete it, but afraid other issues, camera control, tune spatial blocking like id10t players who summoned their golems to block others, (why were they allowed to do that?), for lack of a better term, lag from my end to yours, prevented me from even wanting to try after seeing them.

BTW, if you guys are really looking at camera problems, please Please, PLEASE look into making a first person view. Being able to zoom in and actually see your feet and where you are without trying see thru the tree behind you would make the jump puzzles SOOOO much better.

As stated on the event page, the Halloween event will go live on October 22, Pacific Time.

As previously messaged earlier today, it will go live later this evening on October 22.

It is an involved process to push a game update to the live servers, so a lot of care must be taken to ensure quality.
