I think the point of the non custom UI’s was to attempt a fair to all for those who it would be over their heads on how to do it. No one has an advantage, because everyone sees basically the same thing.
Well I only meant if your worried about recruitment bonuses from other games go play those games. This system would only work if installed at launch. When GW2 was a baby after release there was a refer a friend where 5 friends could play for free. Obviously they didn’t feel it was worth while to continue this after one try.
Now they could never implement a system like this with out screwing everyone over who referred someone in the past with out a logistical nightmare. It just doesn’t make since to ask for a feature that needs to be implemented at launch of the xpac this late out because you want extra toys or some such pat on the back.

Why would you ruin the challenges of gliding, like the longest glide ap in TD for a flying mount. Anet has set precedence for mounts. They are golems, brooms, carpets, the digging tool. If your ideal of a mount differs then find the game with mounts that match your definitions. If you want flying mounts, go back to wow.

To be fair, there is a squad option that allows anyone to invite... So it may not be the tag, it maybe several or one troll in the squad who feels its fun. Either way it’s an annoying thing to believe you must get in on the squad because your on the same map in near proximity.

So not only do they not care, they are actively encouraging players to go in and wait to get credit for 1 match win or loose. As much as I agree, I think the whole LFG needs redone. I don’t think little adjustments are easy to make if I remember old dev comments. I wouldn’t hold your breath on this one.
Hello, I’m with SoR and we are a small fun guild always looking for more. We are looking to build out raid teams soon, and a couple of fractals teams. We have people on at various hours with different levels of skill/social-ability. We do guild missions once a week, and hang out and have fun. We are based primarily on DR and FA but if your only interested in PvE that won’t matter. Send me a whisper if your interested in an invite or would like more info.

SoR is a NA guild looking to build a raid team. We are a bit off on that goal of having 10 consistent people on with gear/desire to raid. There is a lf guild sub forum I recommend you post in. Use NA/EU your preferences on rep’ing and other various thing. Guild recruiters watch that thread.
SW chest far you can rack up 100’s of bags in an hour.
There is only the 2 ways. Dungeons atm really hurt I’m sorry to say the fast farming them is over. If you focus on doing the daily pvp stuff and using the potions from the rewards, you can spend 10-15 minute a day and use arenas dedicated to farming the dailies, its really not that bad. it will take a bit, but if you stack on doing p1,2,3 every day then it will speed up a bit.
Watch LFG for mesmers porting. If you don’t like jumping puzzles (hence asking for help here) that will be your easiest time. If you get to the jp top you can back track a bit and go for the diving goggles, or find some one taking trips to the diving goggles, then work back down.
Well I have to disagree to a point. The tier 3 collections are fun. The tier 1 collection is not bad in itself, but the 2nd tier.... I do belive this was the part they looked at tp and said this will make the process cost as much as current precursors so we don’t have to hear the QQ. I think they didn’t bother to consider the inflation on mats with so many people doing them, or consider ways to adjust that. Bottom line is either do it or don’t, but complaining isn’t going to change a thing. The underwater weapons are considerably less in cost, maybe play with them.
1. Various state and federal regulations change in the addition of state taxes on internet sales... thank your politicians, Anet just following the laws.
2. BL Keys are limited to 1 per week to prevent key farming. This change was implemented some time ago and was mentioned in patch notes at the time.

About Loosmaster’s comment, you can xfer for free with an account that has no toons on it. Everything account wise will saty including whats in your bank. I think that may be a bit drastic though.
My guild Sons of Redemtion [SoR] is split with players on DR and Fort Aspenwood. We have a few that WvW in DR still. We love new people and don’t mind helping them as needed. If your interested in wvw, DR may not be the best server to stay on as its ranking wont encourage a lot of people to stay. If your interested in pve then server doesn’t matter. Whisper me in game or send me a PM here for more info or a guild invite.
SoR is a non rep required PVE guild looking to grow. We do some wvw/pvp very seldom. There is no need to xfer, unless you want to wvw with people so you can worry about that later if and when your ready. If you would like more info whisper me. I don’t think the DnD is a fair example, because new toons go through new stories :P I do think the OP is off base in assuming he is in the majority, but I suppose we all like to feel like our position is the norm from time to time.

So sad not willing to join a guild. There are several guilds out there that put no pressure whatsoever on their members. It’s not so bad being in small guilds because then you have a few people to come to your aide if needed.
As far as meta or no... what ever makes you happy is the way to play. Don’t worry about meta, you may or may not come to the same conclusions, and end up with a similar build. Or you may find those odd traits (far less of them now) are quite usable in your own sort of way.
If you are looking to farm dungeon tokens for leg. though, I suggest doing daily pvp and using the dungeon reward tracks. You can get 240 tokens, 3 weapons and an armor box from about 10 days of just doing you dailies in a daily server if you don’t want to pvp. You still have to do story mode dungeons to unlock the tracks.
With HoT I would say there is not close to 80, but after playing at 80 with the extra trait lines. Leveling a 3rd necro for something to do, and deathshroud vs reaper is painful. However, that being said, around 41 you should have elite skill and 2/3 trait lines open. This will give you a rather worthy sample, and idea based on what you have played so far. To be honest, if I had to play my thief or mesmer from level 1 instead of skipping ahead with scrolls and books, neither one would have gotten anywhere. I love both classes, but lower level is just not representative.
We are a small guild looking to grow. We have mostly people on during NA prime time. We are based on Fort Aspenwood and Devona’s Rest.
We do a little of everything, our preference is just hanging out together having fun!

Ele’s can be some of the hardest people to kill based on builds. Of course, you will sacrifice dps and some other stats to gain sustain. Its hard to equate these toons to WoW because there is no trinity. The ranger’s druid spec allows for the closest thing to a healer.
A mesmer would be a good cross between melee and ranged casting, also a necro can go hybrid and they have some serious sustain.
You get a few character slots, and I will tell this to everyone looking for advise on what toon to play. Try a few if you don’t like the play style or class mechanics delete it and play something else.
Considering the price of mumble/vent and ts servers.... including free ones out there I am not sure this is a good proposition. I recommend just looking in lf guild post to find a small guild or 2 and try to work something out with them.
It only takes 5 - 10 people to do most all of the pve missions. Honestly you can use lfg and find solo people who will join to help out as well so they can get guild commendations.
These are a bit of a pain. I recommend turning on the see all names instead of mashing the ctrl key, but it is a bundle weapon you can pick up so its spawn is random.
The sad truth to gw2 is there isn’t a lot of non repetitive content. The story doesn’t have much variety, the world bosses lack mechanics, the new/end level content is the same thing every 2 hours.... The truth about gw2 that really makes it a great game is the community. Look for some one to level with, get a guild ( your welcome to join mine.) There is a sub forum that you can dig through, or just post and get help finding the right guild.
tl/dr: Find people to run with and the game will be a thousand times better.
The same advice for anyone asking what class to play. Choose one that fits your play style. All characters are usable in all modes. Some fair better than others, but ultimately, it sucks to play a toon because it’s someone else idea of the best. If you need there is plenty of meta sites that will tell you this if you cant choose for yourself.
Experiment play around, and choose the one that fits you best. Oh and welcome back. If you need a guild, or any help in game, look me up.

I think you are imparting too much meaning because of the jargon: we don’t really “glide” — it’s just a word for the thing that displays when we are in the air. None of the existing “gliders” would enable gentle or peaceful travel, unless you consider plummeting like a rock to be gentle or peaceful (I suppose, up until the moment you go splat, it could be peaceful).
I welcome ANet’s decision to move away from just one type of “glider” skin and I hope to see more creative choices in the future, including more staffs that look like something other than a wooden stick.

There is many places to find the complete mats required for making a precursor, and it is seldom cheaper than just straight buying it off the TP. However I personally have done Bolt and the 2 of the underwater ones. I find the tier 3 collections to be nostalgic, and entertaining. To me its easier to just pump out some grindy mats for tier 2 and enjoy tier 3. After all lets face it, the leg itself after making the precursor is no picknick and if your not going to grind those mats, why not just buy the whole thing and save yourself the head ache.
There is lots of MF if you do events, but basicly you are after champ bags and gear bags. The idea is to open them all on a level 45/55 salvage everything and the lowered tier items sell for more than the t5/t6 currently. Of course the increased amount of loot I guess could increase the chance of a precursor.

Melee weapons cleave....
For some you have to complete the instance with different decisions, for others you can do multiple ones at the same time. It depends on what you are working on, but for some death stops progression on the achievements and in that case, you will need to restart.
I recommend you looking up a dulfy guide or some such guide that better answers the by achievement questions.
You may want to attempt to post this in the wvw forums, or even the guardian forums. You may get more help there.
Welcome to Anet’s inconsistency. Some items prompt to be destroyed while other, that are of no value still, prefer you type in the full (no matter the length) item name as it appears. I find this very annoying in general, but you can always use a chat link and cut and paste into the deletion box. So if a trophy says only valid as part of a collection, then feel free to delete.
