I came across the following post in another thread.
More like Evon, the scum that he is, has been funneling funds to help Scarlet pay for all her madcap schemes. His price in return, for her to level Lions Arch so he can buy up the property dirt cheap. Does he care of the lives lost or the families ruined??? Of course not as long as he profits, then its all justified.
Until that scum meets true Justice by the hands of Ellen Kiel!
#TeamKiel
It brought up an actual good point. What if Evon has been funding Scarlet this entire time. Or at the least, been working with her. He has known for quiet some time that an attack on Lions Arch was coming. How would he know such information? He was talking about this back during Winters Day.
It seems strange that Evon would know what’s coming well before anyone else in Tyria did and also did nothing to prevent it.
This will kill personal story and you can’t complete it because la is gone nice job anet!!!!!
You should read more. ANET has answered this already.

But…. But…
There are enraptured super-fans fervently guessing at what’s to come, mind you, and apparently one person in every 10,000-20,000 has guessed correctly. “And we haven’t told them this!” Johanson cackled. "Most of the rest of our fans are all saying, ’You’re crazy! There’s no way that’s what it is – that’s way too cool.’
“Finally, we have also made some changes to the way we determine which world you belong to for your tournament rewards. Instead of being associated with the first world you log in on during the tournament we are tracking various activities in WvW to more closely align your rewards with the world you played on.”
explain this to me. no more servers?
I think this means, and I could be wrong, that the old system was set up so when you first logged into WvW when Season 1 was going on, that was your sever for the entirety of Season 1. I know for sure that some players switched during that 7 weeks of gameplay.
With the new system, if you switched 2 weeks in and played the last 5 weeks of gameplay on another server, you would be rewarded with the one you were on longest. There would be an NPC there just to remind you for those who happen to jump ship often.
this could backfire tremendously with everyone stacking the winning-est server after 3 weeks…
Well here’s how the swiss system tournament works;
The first round is either drawn at random or seeded according to some prior order, such as rating or last year’s performance. All players then proceed to the next round where winners are pitted against winners, losers are pitted against losers, and so on. In subsequent rounds, each player faces an opponent with the same, or almost the same, score. No player is paired up with the same opponent twice. In chess the organiser tries to ensure that each player plays an equal number of games with white and black, alternate colors in each round being the most preferable, and a concerted effort is made not to assign a player the same color three times in a row.
In each round, players with the same score are ranked according to rating. Then the top half is paired with the bottom half. For instance, if there are eight players in a score group, number 1 is paired with number 5, number 2 is paired with number 6 and so on. Modifications are then made to balance colors and prevent players from meeting each other twice.
The detailed pairing rules are usually quite complicated and often the tournament organizer uses a computer to do the pairing. If the rules are strictly adhered to, the organizer has no discretion in pairing the round. See the link below for detailed pairing rules from FIDE.
So essentially those 4 weeks could still see a “powerhouse” not succeed in winning the entire thing.

Did this post just go up? Surprised I don’t see any discussion on this at all. From the blog post this looks to be pretty exciting and rewarding.
What about the Quaggan village?
I will be starting a large fire near the old refugee camp site. They are all more than welcome to jump on in the cooking pot
If we lose, “By Ogden’s Hammer, what savings!”, I will make sure I follow Scarlet throughout Tyria and the Mists and end her.
Can you imagine him running towards the bank screaming:
“By Ogden’s Hammer, MY SAVINGS!”
This made me LOL hard.
Portals?
Who needs portals? I have Way Points.

This isn’t a novel with every detail written out for you to see. It’s a video game storyline. Just sit back and enjoy it. It’s what I do.
I think we’d be doing ourselves a disservice to lower our standards just because “it’s a video game storyline.” The entire Scarlet arc has been filled to the brim with irrational, implausible, and ill-conceived plot threads. It’s important to point these out, because it can hopefully help the writing team improve future story content. If you’ve been enjoying it, great; if you think this is good, then I imagine you would enjoy future storylines with improved writing even more.
The problem, it seems, is that ArenaNet had a story they wanted to tell for this arc that would lead to the emergence of the next elder dragon. They wanted to have this character, Scarlet, be this great villain that orchestrates her own bad guy version of the Pact to take it on. Unfortunately, they didn’t spend as much time as they should have in actually making sure everything fit together in a believable and logical way.
Barring any major, shocking reveals that fit all the puzzle pieces together in these last two updates, I’m not seeing my opinion changing that overall this was a very poorly conceived storyline with regards to believability. The amount of “what ifs” being thrown around in this thread alone as an attempt to make sense of Scarlet’s allies should be a big red flag considering we’re already at the end of the story.
I will say that ANET did miss the mark in understanding the communities love and high standards for the lore and their unforgiving nature for mistakes.
I’ve seen what the pay off is. Spoilers and all………
I can PM you what that is if you’d like, or if you know already we can discuss it. I’d love to hear your take on it and how that factors into the Scarlet plot holes and what not.

And you never learn that overflows exist for a reason.
And you never learn that’s no excuse.
Technical limitations should never impair content on purpose. They should either design their content in such a way overflows won’t be a problem or enhance their server capacity. If they are creating an event that can only be played by 100 people, but they know thousands of players are gonna want to play it then they should prepare for that.
Wait, what? So if they make an event that 100 people can do, but 10,000 people show up to do it, they should have a server that can handle that? Would you as a player want 10,000 people there tagging a boss? People complain now about organizing 80 people for Tequatl. Could you imagine a server with 10,000 people and trying to get 100 to do what is needed? Would it scale to 10,000 people? Talk about a health pool.
That would ruin any game. Not to mention the monetary value of running and maintaining those servers.
So you are putting words in my mouth, then ask me to justify them?
No one ever said anything about having 10.000 people in one boss fight.
I said anet should, if they know thousands of people are going to do an event, prepare for it somehow. This could be done in many different ways, for example have the event spread out over different maps so not everyone has to be in the same map.
Sorry. I made up that high of a number to try to prove my point.
So for instance, instead of having Scarlet invade one map, she would invade 10 at once?
I’ve never played an MMO with events like this in open world. Normally if a server is full you have to wait in que, then you do raids and wait in those ques.

Or… they could give us control and let us pick overflows manually, like GW1 did with districts.
Doesn’t really work when overflows are full though
And people seem to have issues with overflows overall, not specifically the part that you can’t decide which one to join.Funnily enough I am almost sure that the same people complaining about overflows now would be the ones complaining loudest about not being able to play due to queues as well.
It would mean players from 3 underpopulated overflows could join a single one getting the numbers these events often require, or that a guild or other organized group could decide to meet up in, say overflow 9 instead of having to taxi people one by one and hope it doesn’t get full in the meanwhile.
It could also mean that an Overflow that is half full, but with enough players to do content, suddenly has a large guild leave for their own Overflow and thus leave a small group behind that now has to switch servers. That small group would be angry.
I honestly don’t think there is much of an issue with the current overflow system. It seems pretty easy and the Taxi system works if needed. The devs have mentioned that they are looking into it, so who knows, they may switch to a district like system.
The OP raises a good point. ANet once told us to “hold onto our excess ascended materials because they will add uses for them”, and so I hold onto them. I have entire bank tabs dedicated to the blasted things in anticipation of this eventual use, and I sure hope that we get to see it soon.
Also, for those saying to convert to bricks/stars/ingots… Realize that a lot of recipes (like toxic nourishment) use the basic form, NOT the refined form, and also realize that upgrading requires 2 obsidian shards, which is an immense karma cost. It is not worth it to refine them on the chance that the refined version isn’t as useful as the base form, especially at the cost of so much karma.
These items definitely need a use beyond ascended crafting.
Precursor Crafting is eventually supposed to come as well as Legendary Armor. Perhaps they’ll be used then? It is a good point.
I was just blown away at that number of shards. I play often and don’t have nearly that much.

I’m just curious if you’ve actually played all the Living Story content and searched out and done everything. If so, this wouldn’t be as much of a question. The newest update drives the point home again as to why they are all working together and for Scarlet.
No it does not. It offers very lame explanations that don’t hold water at all.
That’s your opinion. Others find them informative and helpful.
Scarlet Briar: The moles get magic, Flame gets gear, and I get weaponry I need. Everybody wins…especially me.
Again, no reason the dredge and flame legion couldn’t just make this trade without her and not sacrifice themselves in huge numbers just to consistently fail at everything. Dredge and flame legion working together? Not a bad idea. Trying to shoe horn Scarlet into it? Awful.
Huh? So because the Dredge and Flame Legion could make this alliance without Scarlet means it makes no sense that she could be the reason behind it? It wasn’t shoe horned in, it was planned from the beginning.
Scarlet Briar: Once more, my esteemed snaky friend: you’re doing this for obelisk shards. You want direct access to your prophets, right? Then do as I say.
And anyone believes Scarlet has direct access to Krait prophets why exactly? Nobody who is not a krait has ever had this. No way an entire race that is so xenophobic they eat people on first encounter listens to this drivel let alone buys into it.
I don’t think anyone thinks this but the Krait she promised it to. I also doubt it’s the entire race but more like the ones she has access to. Also, why wouldn’t they listen to a creature who is relatively new to the entire planet? I mean, Sylvari haven’t really been around long.
Once they work for her, she then threatens to kill them if they don’t listen. It’s pretty straight forward.
Working with Scarlet = Dying en masse when competent heroes quickly unravel her plans.
Not Working with Scarlet = She threatens to kill you? She’s less threatening than any of the high ups in the Flame Legion, Krait or Nightmare Court. There’s zero reason for these organizations based violence and pain to be afraid of fighting her.
So yeah, I’ve heard Anet’s lame excuses, they don’t hold water. It’s badly written drivel.
How do YOU know there is zero reason to be afraid of Scarlet? There obviously is a reason they are afraid of her. That is fact. Go look for it if you like.
It’s very apparent that you’re not happy with the story line or maybe even the game. If you have a better MMO that you’ve made yourself, let me know and I’ll try it out.
This isn’t a novel with every detail written out for you to see. It’s a video game storyline. Just sit back and enjoy it. It’s what I do.

If anyone is looking at it like we are just destroying her army and she should be depleted of troops.. well then you have to say the same thing to every monster/enemy/creature in the game. How many Tequatl’s are there? How many Fire Elementals? How many Centaurs can their be? Surely we’ve killed them all by now.
You can’t look at one area of the game and give it a certain standard and ignore all other parts of the game that are similar.
WE don’t have to. The standards for the two areas are different because the Devs made them different.
You see, in the main world, the plot never really advances past the events you see. The centaurs still threaten Queensdale, the fire elemental is still a threat, and the Wardenlight Tree is still under threat. The world doesn’t really move past those events.
But the Living Story does. Those events have moved into the past, the plot has moved past them. They happened. They’re done. The repercussions of those events carry forward. If the plot says Scarlet’s army was defeated at the Marionette test, then it was defeated there. (The plot seems to assume you’ve won that fight, by the way.) Yes, they only happened once, and not dozens of times, but they happened.
Scarlet has been losing people left and right. It’s there, in the plot, and it needs to carry forward. That it doesn’t is just a huge plot hole and bad writing.
I agree. She has been losing forces. I just don’t think it’s been to the extent that some have been posting about.
Uhmm.. craft them into an Emp Star? It takes 100 shards to make 1 Star.
If you honestly have 27000 of them you can easily get a full stack of Stars and craft your Ascended Gear.
I have full ascended gear, weps and armor… and now these shards are useless to me…
and yes I do have 27k+
Make some Alts and craft gear for them?
Pilfering and pillaging of Lions Arch will be done. I only hope they fry some Quaggans while they’re at it. I will watch with glee.

You may try to bend logic in order to find some explanations, but at the core it just doesn’t make sense.
See, I can also say that you are bending logic to say nothing makes sense. You’re obviously a person who doesn’t agree with the storyline nor like it. That’s fine. It’s how you feel about it. I, on the other hand, do not feel this way.
I’ve played this all from the start and liked the slow build of the story. The plot points have been there. They may not all have been in the game, but they’ve been there.
We’ve only been shown small interaction between the alliances and Scarlet herself. Who knows what she’s done to influence them or keep their allegiance. For all we know she’s been publicly executing those who oppose her to continue her control.
Also as a side note, anyone who thinks we’ve killed thousands upon thousands of her minions is wrong. This is a video game. The Developers can’t say that Scarlet has 10,000 soldiers in her army and once those are gone the whole Living Story comes to an end.
If anyone is looking at it like we are just destroying her army and she should be depleted of troops.. well then you have to say the same thing to every monster/enemy/creature in the game. Once they work for her, she then threatens to kill them if they don’t listen. It’s pretty straight forward.
Yeahhhhno. I can’t buy that.
When the Molten Alliance was beaten, she kept them in line by threatening them?
Stop and think about WHO she was threatening.
Flame Legion? You think the Flame Legion rolled over and submitted to the demands of a female sylvari? Even if she threatened them with the Aetherblades, the Flame Legion wouldn’t bend to that. Plus, they had some new molten weapons already. We’ve all seen how willing they are to fight, even if it’s a losing battle. No way would they just give in to her demands.
Dredge? Do you honestly think they’d submit to being re-enslaved? Nope, wouldn’t happen. They’d die fighting it rather than be slaves to someone again. And the only forces she had to threaten them with were the Aetherblades, and they’re even less of a threat to the underground dwelling Dredge.
Actually.. yeah they are scared of her and she does threaten them. Here, let me show you some facts regarding this.
From the Aetherblade Path of Twilight Arbor -
In Outlook of Woe
Aetherblade Swashbuckler: “I saw one of those holos that looked just like me. It was funny right up to the point it exploded.”
Veteran Aetherblade Grenadier: “This isn’t going to be as easy as we thought. Finally, foes worth killing.”
Aetherblade Thug: “I like these holos. They don’t eat or claim a share of the booty, and they take the enemy with them when they die.”
Aetherblade Thug: “Following Scarlet’s lead is dangerous, but it’s also profitable. Not to mention fun.”
Aetherblade Grenadier: “Clear the vegetation, build the ships, kill the intruders… There better be some serious coin at the end of this.”
Scarlet Briar Hologram: “Work. Work harder! You can’t convert a dire cavern of dread and misery into an arms factory by wishing for it.”
Scarlet Briar Hologram: “I love my holorgamatic pirates. All the punch of the flesh and blood variety, with none of the strange odors.”
Scarlet Briar Hologram: “I’m still registering intruders, Aetherblades. Finish them off. And keep everyone clear of those generators.”
Aetherblade Taskmaster: “Stick together! Scarlet will flay us with rusty blades if we break!”
Aetherblade Thug: “Hold fast. Whatever they do to us Scarlet will do worse if we lose.”
An excerpt from Twilight Preparations
“We’ve got trouble,” Spur said. “Scarlet trouble.”
“‘We?’” Sparki said. “Slick and I don’t have Scarlet trouble. We, my toothy friend, are reliable.”
“Reliable’s not good enough anymore. We need to be exceptional. Scarlet wants a fleet of airships and an army of holographic pirates to fight alongside the meat variety.”
“We know that,” Slick muttered. “It’s why we’re all here.”
“Though I can’t say why the Nightmare Court is,” Sparki added. “I’ll never comprehend how she got those poisonous peonies to let her have her way with this place.”
“Belay that talk,” Spur growled. “Scarlet’s got some sort of arrangement with the Court. They give her this space for her facility and she helps them…I don’t know, make people cry, or whatever it is they do.
“The important thing is we need more ships in the air. If we don’t triple our output, she’ll be back. And she won’t be tossing around insults and orders. She’ll be tossing around body parts from the crews who didn’t meet quota.”
Slick shrugged, clearly unconcerned. “Then crack your whip and get your axes spinning. We’re holding up our end. It’s your flunkies that are the problem.”
The Aetherblades are clearly being threatened and bullied by Scarlet. It would stand to assume she does the same with the other alliances she has formed.
LARGE Features patch coming in March. Dominion of the Wind perhaps?

Why did Scarlet’s allies ever follow her in the first place? Never been a good answer for that either. Dredge and flame legion want to ally (which is somewhat plausible)? Okay….why do they need Scarlet sacrificing them by the thousands to make that happen? Pirates and Inquest want to work together (again, totally plausible), what’s ever stopped the Inquest from doing something like this on its own? It’s not like evil little asura aren’t self-motivated to cause trouble with anything they can find. Krait allying with anything never made sense in the first place and just waters them down from “genuinely creepy and threatening” to “cartoon minion” in terms of threat level. Nightmare Court working with Scarlet is the only one that makes sense since they both have an obsession with proving the Pale Tree wrong.
You can’t make the continuation of a story make sense when the story never made sense in the first place. None of these alliances needed Scarlet to happen. She’s just the lore eating plot vortex fanfiction that we’re stuck with until Anet decides to stop with this nonsense.
I’m just curious if you’ve actually played all the Living Story content and searched out and done everything. If so, this wouldn’t be as much of a question. The newest update drives the point home again as to why they are all working together and for Scarlet.
Scarlet Briar: The moles get magic, Flame gets gear, and I get weaponry I need. Everybody wins…especially me.
Scarlet Briar: Lion’s Arch needs softening up first, so we infiltrate its halls of power and neuter its defenses from the inside.
Scarlet Briar: The theme is “humanity can withstand any test.” It’s like they’re begging me to prove them wrong. It’s laughable! (laugh) See?
Scarlet Briar: Air superiority wins wars. So build me a comparable fleet, or I’ll kill you all and replace you with holos.
Scarlet Briar: Once more, my esteemed snaky friend: you’re doing this for obelisk shards. You want direct access to your prophets, right? Then do as I say.
Kasmeer Meade: Scarlet deceived each of her allies into thinking they’d gain something from working for her. Hmm. She’d make a great minister.
Once they work for her, she then threatens to kill them if they don’t listen. It’s pretty straight forward.

relax, nothing will hapend to LA, too much is tight to LA like personal story, every event(dragon bash, halowin, wintersday…etc). Mabye a part of LA will be change, some memorial plaque here and there or crap like that
and the next LS will be along “yeeee, we win against the evil forces of [insert generic bad]” and everything is back to normal
Yeah, the massively interview says otherwise. They already have everything in place so that LA can burn and everything will be just fine. The Mystic Forge, Asura Portals, Fractals, Dungeon Vendors, Canach and TP/Crafting/Banks are moving to the Vigil Keep. There will be a special entrance for LA to do the personal story stuff and afterwards you’ll still explore LA for map completion but it will be more dangerous.
Also, as someone who now knows what is to come, this will change Tyria forever moving forward.
Second, in what way is a lone Sylvari a Dragon Champion? I seem to recall beating her up pretty easily. Finally, why do you think she is actively following orders? Nothing she’s done nor said indicated that she’s is following orders. She may be being influenced, but she’s not following orders. So she’s doing things her own way, toward whatever end she ends up accomplishing.
That would be my point – it would be inconsistent for her to be a champion (or a minion) of mordremoth, considering the army she has been building.
I don’ t think it would be.
Svanir was corrupted by a champion of Jormag and thus made into a champion himself. Perhaps the same has happened with Scarlet. A champion of Mordremorth, that we haven’t seen yet, reached out to Scarlet when she was in the Eternal Alchemy. That champion laid a presence upon her and has slowly got what it needs all the while Scarlet is thinking she is in control. This last part is evident by her own Holo’s.
Scarlet Briar: Ever since I came out of Omadd’s machine, you’ve been taking credit for my ideas. They are mine! Not yours.
Scarlet Briar: Let me be clear. I’m not doing this for you; I’m doing it for me. Nobody tells me what to do. Not ever.
Scarlet Briar: It’s not true. None of it. I don’t have to lsiten to you. Get out of my head!

Not to mention they have been invading Tyria zones for months now and succeeding quiet often.
I don’t think their morale has been hit honestly.
Even the Nightmare Tower was a test to improve the toxin. She can still use whatever she held over their heads to keep them motivated. Dredge still need more magic. Flame Legion still need more tech. Krait still want an Obelisk to pray to their Prophets. God knows what the Nightmare Court wants.
I can’t wait for the next arc: Big Trouble in Little Cantha!
Then maybe 3000 Miles to Elonia?
All I will say is… there will be a large Features patch coming in late March
SIDE NOTE: I understand that it appears scarlet will combine the might of all of her alliances to form a coalition with the purpose of destroying lions arch? (kinda interesting that lions arch the melting pot of tyria would be destroyed by those outcast from the major races?)
I’ve been thinking about that…
Let’s pretend for a moment that there’s still a reason why Flame Legion and Dredge would work together as the Molten Alliance. Let’s also pretend there’s still a reason for the Nightmare Court and Krait to be working together. Ditto the Inquest and the pirates to form the Aetherblades.
Let’s pretend all of that still makes sense, somehow…
Now, throw those groups together with each other, and tell them they all have to get along and fight on the same side.
It just doesn’t work, does it?
Have you been playing the game for the last 6 months?
They have all been working together for months. Scarlet sends an Invasion group through portals every few hours. Also the Aetherblade path of Twilight Arbor taught us that the Aetherblade Pirates were being used to bully the Molten Alliance or vice versa. The aren’t working in harmony together, they are being forced to do this now that they’ve given their allegiance to Scarlet.
She’s still promising to give them everything they want. The payoff for the alliances could have been a Lions Arch invasion all along for all we know.
I don’t need more junk to add to my bank
Marcello the Bard will now be Hero-Tron’s sidekick, Bard-Boy!
Bard the Conqueror.
I doubt this.
You all will just AFK at the Vigil Keep
I doubt this will be a one time event. It will most likely open with a story instance like the Nightmare Tower and then you enter the map that will be in the midst of battle.
This way, no matter what time you go into the map you’ll first be prompted with that Story Instance and see the invasion in all it’s glory.
Uhmm.. craft them into an Emp Star? It takes 100 shards to make 1 Star.
If you honestly have 27000 of them you can easily get a full stack of Stars and craft your Ascended Gear.

There is nothing wrong with playing content in the overflows, period.
Also at least they aren’t doing it as a one time release/event like they did for the Lost Shores content. Now that was epic because it happened only once and never again. A shame too many people were angry about that.

i will be extremly upset if LA is destroyed or broken and becomes a unusable or unviable city. In GW1, Kamadan was an acceptable city replacement for LA and eventually surpassed LA’s popularity (by far) but if in GW2 they destroy LA, oh wow will i be mad and will have bad repercussions unless the replacement city is as good as Kama and even then it seems not the same

Couldn’t care any less what happened to LA.
Are we getting any new real content? Dungeon? Instance? This.
Congratulations, Anet, you’re doing exactly what most people expected you to do, destroy LA. You’re now jumping on the bandwagon that Blizzard started with Catacylsm, ableit a few years late.
And that’s all fine and dandy, but what does that mean for the players? Is LA going to become a new dungeon? Is this a new explorable “elite” area like the Tower of Nightmares was? What’s going to happen when this update is gone, is LA just going to be a smoldering ruin with a few angry mobs that no one will bother going to outside of world completion?
And the most important question of all: Is this the big, epic, sweeping change to the world that will rock Tyria to it’s core? Because if it is…Than once again, I am dissappoint.
It also doesn’t help that this is part 3 of 4 of the finale, and unless there’s some big, epic reveal at the end of it regarding Scarlet’s motives, than hey guess what, we’ll be going into the final update completely blind of what Scarlet’s plan is, and I’m sure you’ll shove it down our throats in one big paragraph instead of telling it a crossed the past year like you should have.
It’s really difficult to get excited for an update when the trailer posted for it has one minute of “Oh look pretty LA views with recap” and 15 seconds of actual new content featured. And as others have said, destroying a capital city in an MMO is nothing new, nor novel.
It would be really nice if we could go back to how things were prior to Origins of Madness, and have a nice preview page of what the update will entail a week before, instead of a minute long trailer that usually doesn’t even show anything other than 10-15 seconds of content.
Everyone already know’s the “big” reveal that’s going to happen thanks to reddit and data miners. Expect the most predictable thing.
Here’s a hint, look at the GW2 logo.I don’t use reddit. Can you link this or any information on the reddit string and data mine?
And….. i just read the spoiler and data mined stuff…
All I can say is wow…. I can’t wait

I’m just guessing here…
But CANACH SAVES THE DAY!
He uses his “Call of the Karka” to summon a gigantic Karka queen to fight off Scarlet’s forces.
He’s being moved to the Vigil Keep. Looks like he won’t be stepping in to help.

I… don’t understand. How can anyone ever think this is getting better. How is this getting better? I am not bashing you, I swear. Please, explain to me how is this getting better. Because each new update is sending me into an abyssal depression towards the game’s future, and I am seriously worried about them not actually being able to turn this around away from the incoming crash zone.
Because if LA is destroyed, it means the living story is finally making real changes? At this point it doesn’t matter if other games have already done it, it matters that GW2 is finally doing it.
How is that hard to understand?
I thought we were rooting for more content, not for them permanently removing more chunks of the map for fun. But that may just be me.
We are, but people have also been complaining that the living story has had no lasting changes. Tower of Nightmares was the first sign we the LS was improving in that regard, this may be the culmination.
Yep. And people actually hated that because it ruined a beautiful map like Kessex Hills and made it dreary and gross now.
People have been clamoring for changes to the Living World since it’s supposed to be impacted by the Living Story.

Our favorite mechanized marvel takes on a new title…
YO-LO-TRON!
Bravely throwing himself in the face of danger to rescue citizens because…YOLO!!!
(Not official…but should be
)
But.. this would technically be Job-O-Tron’s 4th life……

Others have touched on why they are excited, and I agree.
This is why I am.
I’m excited because this looks FUN. It’s crazy, but it’s the main reason I play video games. I don’t look or plan at the games future because I love to live in the moment and enjoy what’s here for me now.
I have enough stresses in my life than to add a video game to them. When a game is no longer fun, I put it down and go play another one. Simple as that

Thanks Krall.
That was a good read.
It does seem like LA is not going to be what it used to be. They are already planning on moving the forge, Fractals, and other things to the Vigil Keep and hinted that map completion will still be needed for LA, but it will be dangerous and different.
I love it!

Indeed, it looks very interesting.
And adding on the information from massively it does indeed seem that LA WILL get destroyed.link please? Curiosity has struck me.
Google google google google google google google google google…
Why Google when someone can post the link for me
What they should do is just release the novel in audiobook form and sell it on the gem store so players can listen to it while playing.
For the Lulz….
People buying an audio version of the Personal Story while they do the Personal Story… lol
Personally, I’d much rather experience the Personal Story rather than read about it in a novel. I love reading and letting my imagination take the lead, but there’s something a little more exciting about living those moments in game and experiencing them. It would make reading about it not as exciting.
Obviously you didn’t read the topic. It’s not the personal story that would be getting turned into a novel its would be the Living Story and that is after the thing is done when nobody could participate in it.
Wow… That was completely my bad. I did read the OP, but for some reasons was thinking Personal Story and not Living Story.

OMG. So pumped. Yes we all seen it coming, but c’mon. You have to be a little excited, right?
I only wonder if Snake Plissken will show up to help us out.
I can see it now.. LA is in flames. Flame Legion and Dredge are terrorizing citizens. Toxic Alliance is BBQ’ing Quaggan. Marjory cradles Kasmeer’s dead corpse near the Mystic Forge and Snake walks up.
Marjory crying over Kasmeer she tells her that she will change the drapes to Yellow just for her and Snake simply says, “Sad Story. You got a smoke?”
