Ok, before you think im going to flame the only thing i can say its good luck in wow.

i personally enjoy gw2 currently 2 toons lvl 80 lvling another one, trying to see all PS and im having tons of fun, perhaps this isnt the game for you? perhaps wow might be, or not. perhaps wow wont help you please your gaming needs and you will go to another game.

there are tons of games why bash or stay in a game you dont like.

as i said good luck and i hope you find the game you like, meanwhile i can see myself in gw2 for a long time.

if you want me to say you should stay and start naming what Gw2 has. and that wow sucks well you got the wrong person everyone is free to do what they want.

for me it has been the best 60$ ive spent in a game.

Were Dungeons difficulty nerfed? ive come they are a lot easier by now, i runed AC path1/2/3 with 4 of my guildies and i must say they werent as hard as i remember.

if they werent i dont get why people complain so much about dungeons, i mean, we got killed, indeed but, we timed our combos, we swapped aggro, we kited.

focused in this order mobs

-(monks)
-Elementalist
-Mesmer
-Necros
-Everything else.

I think people just want to complete a dungeon spamming 1 and just rares dropping at their feet i spent 20 silver repairing and mobs droped 5s-5s-17s-(26s Ending loot) so i got 25s+ (not counting things i sold and 60 tokens)

While I definitely feel he’s one of the more fleshed-out characters, I didn’t like him at all. I joined the Order of Whispers as a thief because it sounded like a secret organization based on intelligence gathering and shadowy intrigue. Then I meet some goofy-cat, bumbling Charr who’s supposed to be my mentor? Ugh.

It’s ok, I agree with you. I also happen to think that Tybalt (like the other Order mentors) is 2-dimensional. Which still makes him better than the slew of 1-dimensional NPCs to date, but still a bit flat.

Tybalt can be characterized as, “Apple-loving bumbler.” That’s pretty much his entire character concept. Which is fine, as far as it goes, but it sadly feels like his popularity is held in high esteem over a sea of characters awash with mediocrity.

I was also a bit disappointed that the Order of Whispers, the most secret and shadowy organization on the planet, has such a lax recruiting platform. With recruits like Tybalt and Demmi, the order’s secrets should rightly be front-page news within a month.

in fact i disagree with both points, there is no need for an order to be serious and emo and i love the comic relief and i would like to see it more often, there is enough with a dragon corrupting tyria, theres enough with divinity edge fighting over each other and hatred overflowing the personal story.

Tybalt =3 ftw.

Hi, i usually time when i pick ores from a node and mostly if its orichalcum and i try to remember the place where it was, as far as i know orichalcum has a spawn time of 5-6hrs.

but heres the problem i gathered ores from a node at 1.20 server time and its now 13.40 server time and they have not respawn its anyone else experiencing this?

Well ill contribute in this thread saying that exploring an area lvl 70+ gives a better reward than slaying an ancient dragon wich was destroying and corrupting tyria.

also lets say, that i completed personal story before they “fixed” loot yet i havent receive my “proper” reward wich i dont consider 70+greens a proper reward tho, but i kinda lost hope that there will be a retroactive reward.

yesterday seemed like i was fixed i found 4 ori nodes in cursed shore, 8 hrs later only 2 ori nodes the other ones didnt respawn.

Same here i got 5 nodes in cursed shore after earlier patch and now i can only mine 2 and cant find anymore

I would like to read a red explaining if the ones who played thoroughly this game, the ones wich reported PS bugged bag, the ones who completed 100% map completition and made feedbacks about whats is wrong and what could be changed to get a healthier game.

Im making this thread because im appalled that “exotic loot bag” was “fixed” but im still waiting for a message in-game from Anet saying here the items you should have got instead of those one wich were a bug blah, blah.

2 days after i got 100% world completition they change reward to ofc a better one but i still wonder if those who got first those messly rewards and complained about it, will just get a pat in the back and thank you very much you can go to do something irl.

to be honest i would like to read a red explaining about this changes.

lightning storm happens when enemy is in control of elemental orb or something like that, they are located in water search for them it can sometimes change the tide of battle.

its not unusual but really cool imo.

No, to be honest bad suggestion if you want to brag about map completion (like myself) with your alt toon just go into achievements>title and select Been there, done that.

Some quick math based on the 3 events i grind in Straights of Devastation. I get roughly 2k karma and well over 1g an hour, sometimes 2 depending but i’l say 1 for ease.

Thats 500 hours for 1 mil karma, by that time i would have at least 500g.

Lengendaries are suppose to be hard to get, the designers knew this, that’s why they have a unique skins and effects. You guys are complaining because what? other people are going to have them before you? They are not mandatory either, your not being forced to get them.

simple math help me solve this puzzle:
500g = 500hrs
1d = 24hr
hours played per day = 8

500/8 (wich is hours played / hours played per day) 62.5 days / 24 hrs= 2.6 months

price of precursor over 3 weeks ,, from 60-80 gold to 200g, thats an increase of at least 150% in 2.4 weeks of game.

staying in orr for 2.6 months playing 8 hours straight doesnt sound very legendary to me.

You couldnt say it any better Fellyn and “Who have played legitimately” we all know the exploits like server tranfer, pre-cursor exploit, cof exploit, bots going rampage.

they were the ones who destroyed economy, when things where going good precursors were at 10-15g wich ITS ENOUGH for an exotic pre-cursor, whenever i read that someone has over 100+g and hasnt buy gems i cant stop thinking about exploits, ive gained over my entire gameplay like a bout 50g and ive played a lot and i mean A LOT, and tried everything after everybody else knew about it, like empty spots for high end matts, buying low lvl matts and transmuting them for high-end matts and gain 400% profit.

i can blame everything on botters mostly, dont want to be negative but this is absurd for us the legit players and people will leave game if they feel like nothing is being addressed because whenever you go you see over 30 botters and like you said 200g for a precursor its absurd ofc unless you buy gems, but guess what 800gems wich are 10$ its like 2.4gold.

First thing i should say is, im AMAZED, many, many many hours ago i started this game extensively planning every action, every choice i would think it not three but four or 5 times after i picked 1, i cant regret joining the order of whispers, and the skritt but thats another story.

in fact i cant regret order of whispers only because 1 single Npc (wierd?) i became fond with Tybalt almost instantly when i spoke with him, so Charismatic, funny, deep, witty and most of all, real.

so far ive completed Order of whispers and Vigil, im kinda new to priory but i can assure you Anet you have made an awesome job with Tybalt Leftpaw i cant name anyone but him as my “brother” in GW2 every time i could go in a mission with him i just say YES!!! to be honest the best and only the BEST missions were with him, your team have done an AMAZING job, the voice actor, the script, the modeling Bro-Fist for you Anet im not afraid to say that he belongs to my top of the best Npcs ive known, and i have played plenty, plenty of games.

And again congrats Anet you have made me giggle, laugh and enjoy so much this game there are plenty of road to be made but congrats.

It has minor effects on non voiced content. There are some spots where it requires a really high score of a certain personality trait to get options to bypass a fight. Instead of fighting your way through some enemies you’ll charm them instead if you’re “Captivating”

Yes it does. But I can rationalise it. After all, it is a fantasy world. Some fundamentals are rooted in the world, but there’s also magic involved. Hitting an elemental, I can explain away. I’m chipping away at its substance, or if I can penetrate it’s substance, I can hit some internal spot that magically disrupts it. But a whip does none of those things. I CAN offer you a much better rationalisation for introducing a whip than “I want it, {darn (geez!) the stupid profanity filter!} would it not be cool”, but I’m not going to. Why don’t you have a go, instead of throwing a tantrum just because someone doesn’t agree with what YOU want?

I sincerely hope not. Since I’ve replied to the Unique Weapons thread, I’ve been doing my best to ignore this one, but since it’s back up near the top of the first page…

1) Denial, repeatedly bumping your own thread by agreeing with everyone that agrees with you is really just crap. If I was a dev, I’d mark your suggestion down just for that!

2) The whip is not a weapon. As any fule (probably) knoe by now, I’m a medieval martial artist. Whips have their uses. Like the focus does for the classes that use it, if you want to have it, with some cool animation on the skill, I might (as if “I” is going to be taken any notice off by Anet! ) accept your justification. But the whip is, flatly, NOT a weapon. Forget Indiana Jones (it’s a film), forget all your other fantasy sources (the authors have little, if any, understanding of combat), forget D&D (see previous bracket).

A whip works because it inflicts pain. Anyone who has the ability to act through pain, instead of being driven by it, will ignore its PHYSICAL effects. If you hit me effectively with a whip, I may flinch, but I think I could drive through it and close on you regardless (at which point, the whip is utterly useless).

But you have to hit me somewhere where it hurts. Even the light armour in this game will be thick enough that a whip blow will go unnoticed except to bare flesh. The only place it would be really dangerous would be is if you hit the eyes, a minute target, even assuming the head is unarmoured.

I am certain that a whip blow is extremely painful. But a single whip blow is not very dangerous. I am also certain that I would far rather be hit with a whip blow than with a blow from pretty much any other weapon. They will do real damage, where the whip will merely hurt. Argue that it should be introduced as a symbolic weapon, a la the focus, for classes such as the Mesmer or Necromancer, and I can probably rationalise that. For other classes? No. How does a whip PHYSICALLY harm a dragon? Answer me that one!

As for unique weapons, there’s another thread for that discussion, and my opinions are well known, if you’ve read it!

well, to reply this i could start saying i couldnt care less if you are medieval martial artist or the pope himself, this is a Fantasy MMO as far as i know even those shiny awesome art some GreatSwords have wouldnt do squat in real life, not even the first Greatsword skin would work in real life because its almost the same size of a human, so you can go with your “logic” in GD and start rambling about the non-sense of GW2 weapons.

whips are amazing but make it profession specific, as i have never seen a scyth drop (EVER) i am pretty sure it is only for necros, there should be ONE weapon for profession, and that weapon is what make it unique and nice

well as a lvl 80 ive burn some gold but im now feel that its way way slower than before, sometimes i do 1g per few hours.

mostly because my only concern is that Orr, Trolls and big DE its just a AoE spamming fest, so if you dont have reliable AoE or they are in high cooldown or are DoTs, forget to get drops when you have to run and spam 1 and hope you do enough damage to get at least xp.

if they are verbal abusing you theres a report feature for that, if they harass you for being a commander just dont listen it seems you have 2 pretty solid guilds and i can assure you you have some nice ppl to play with.

honestly yes i would love to see not only whips added but there are also other kinds of weapons that i would like to see as well, glaives, 2h axe are some.

Comments like these have no constructive value. They care, or we’d likely not even have a web forum – there’s no direct profit to be made from it.

OP – I can certainly feel your pain. There are a few of us who are actively looking for ways to improve the experience after 80. You may have to dig through some of the argumentative b.s. to get to some of these posts, but I promise you, they are out there, and some of the suggestions are really good.

We can only hope that the good devs at ArenaNet have enough steam to be able to sift through the rubbage posts and are able to find some of the good constructive ones.

totally agree with you, but some people just pollute the forum with that kind of replies , its easier to say they dont care they have our money than make an elaborated argument, some people might disagree with me, but its good to know there are some just like you who feel the same way than i do.

Let me explain this thread a bit, this is kind a rant thread but i should say first, i love this game, for me it is fresh and new to the mmo scene.

but, as every game it has some things that can make them either enjoyable or frustrating for some.

First i think i would like to address is the gain/cost of bills: until you hit 80 repair bill is affordable, teleporting its affordable as well, you dont even think its expensive or check inventory first, you just teleport even if you are 20 yards from wp.

but when you hit 80 things change drastically, even the nearest wp its at least 2 silver, 2 silver might not sound like its to much, but they add… and they add way to fast in 1 day of game just teleporting for some events or simply to gather matts in farms scattered in some map you could spend at least 60-1g, and lets not talk about repair bills

ive been 80 since first week of the game and im scared of upgrade my gear wich is mostly greens and yellows just because my messly greens and yellows when they are broken i need to spend up to 30+ silver.

wich in a dungeon you can die several, several, several times and sometimes its just a graveyard rush just to complete the dungeon, but in fact is it worth it? its something inside that shiny chest that worth the time consuming, frustrating and hard earned silver?

i mean, its ok you get some tokens wich you can trade for AWESOME and i mean AWESOME art, but for a 1h sword its at least 12+ runs, you get some silver wich isnt enough to repair my greens and yellows.

ok, you might say dungeons arent for me, they are for hardcore and good players and that i stink at gw2.

ok this might be true, so… dungeons are out, ok then i will go to orr because chain events can provide some good karma and silver, there we go again orr its filled with 200+ warriors with bows (nothing against them) or hardcore AoErs, what can i do?

i guess ill run and spam 1 in my sword and try to hit everything i can to get at least silver badge, (repeat ad nauseum).

ok, i will then enjoy the game i spend some time completing 100% world map, achieved it and i can say it was way way way to fun and i might do it with another toon, ok ill complete now my story line quest.

achieved it as well, as a reward everyone know what you get at the end, and hasnt been addressed yet, so i let it go, i think in some near future they will make it up for us who had it bugged.

dont get me wrong i love this game, but some times i have deeply mixed feelings.

i dont know if that im bad at this game but the amount of time you spend trying to acquire gold its way to high, and you spend it 300% quicker than you earn it (just like IRL).

so, now that the rant thread is over.

wich are my constructive critiscim:

-Dungeons can get some diffculty option, if im a casual player (wich i dont think i am) but i dont want to spend 1h+ in a dungeon why not make a easy route? instead of getting 30 tokens you earn just 2 or 1.

but for those who are casual and want to “enjoy” a dungeon it will make it really fun.

-Decrease bills in waypoints and repairing or upgrade the ways wich gold can be acquired, because with the new changes wich dungeons give decreased silver and the anti farm code gold doesnt come by itself.

-Some proffesion could use AoE skills in lower cooldowns because in huge DE they are sub-par of even trash tier against the ones who have AoE doesnt matter if nukes, or sustained but is hard to compete against them when you need to run into a mob and spam 1 and HOPE he doesnt get killed while you run towards him.

well, i think rant is over and i feel a lil better.
