dont worry when you hit 80 a huge chest will fall from the sky, with fanfares and whole world will throw around 4-9k gold at your feet, you will get 1-1.4mill karma, only if you behave well in game, chest has a random loot but mostly legendary, ewww im tired of them…

Anet why u make this game so easy?! i want to do thing for myself sometimes you know?! like explore the world and see if i can find better skins in karma sellers tha sells AWESOME skins for just 200-600 karma that isnt worth nothing because when i hit 80 almost every event gives 400+.

the elementalist whip animation is awesome. the one thing im waiting for is the prospect of new weapons/weapon skills. I think steadily adding new weapons will do a lot to avoid stagnant gameplay, and build up more diversity in class styles. A whip for thieves would be amazing.

totally true, diversity its what makes everything more fun and make things last long.

If anyone wants to contribute to this list of course its welcomed and will be of course added to the games list.

I would be all over a whip for elementalists, mesmers, and rangers! Fire whip! Like others have said, the whips are already in the game and move quite well. It’s not like they’d need to add many or any animations to them.

How does it work: game master will choose a location for example kessex hills, will drink any animal potion and hide anywhere in the map, first one (or first three) to find the imposter wins the game.

Game Name: Scavenger Hunt.
Requirements: up to game master
*Max Players: —- Any-

How does it work: Game master choose a location for example Bloodtide coast, in guild chat he will post any kind of objects guild must hunt, for example 3 coral chunks, 2 potatoes then they must find him in map and show him if they got what game master asked for.

IMPORTANT: game master must have Guild panel and see if every game player is in the zone, so cheaters cant move to a trading post and buy them so they can win, if you exit area you are out of the game.

(Rewards: up to the guild)

How does it work: the game master must have a Mesmer, game is played in heart of the Mist.

choose an empty or semi-empty room and bring some guildies with you, first 1 who kills you 5 times wins the game.

tips: Utility- Decoy- blink- mirror image- Elite- Moa morph- take staff and scepter+focus-

I ran a fun game in GW1. I chose a location (a city in GW1, because world wasnt persistent, so only place where any player could find me was a city), and hid there.

Then, on a popular Guidl Wars fansite, i posted a haiku (like a poem) with a cryptic clue about where i was in the world. The clues varied in difficulty, as well as prizes. The first 3 to find me would win something. When they did, i would post that the next clue would be up in 5-10min…(i prepared haikus in advance for each session). Players ahd to refresh the page where i posted the haikus to find the new clue.

This usually went on for 1-2 hours per session, and i must have done it about a dozen times.

During the time i was doing this, a popular gaming radio station (Blade Radio) advertised my hunt, so more people would join in. In a few instances, i requested that they play a specific song which would be the clue to my location. It was tons of fun.

Sometimes a second person would help me out, and we’d have a double dose of fun.

This is an excellent idea for anyone who would like to do it, especially, as the OP put it, since you can do it now anywhere in the world, since it’s persistent. The only drawback would be that only players on your particular server could participate. And yea, of course tonics makes it even more fun.

If ANet decides to put up forums dedicated to specific servers, that would be a definite asset for this kind of game…

I do plan on doing it again, when the time is right…

i know this sounds kinda wierd, but in lions arch vista theres a place where you take some googles and you are dressed in your underwears. so everyone had same underwears and that was kinda awkward honestly.

is there a place where i can change them?

you will find it in black lion chest (locked) i dont know if drop rate is low but ive gotten some for myself from chest tho.

Also, connectivity issues can cause you to “bounce” between locations, causing the type of ghosting you describe. Generally, if someone wants to use a teleport hack, they just disappear from one lcoation and appear in another—theres no reason to keep apeparing at a vista (unless the vista is within clicking distance of a trade post NPC)

Can anyone explain me why we dont have a well done report system?

where is the report feature where you explain what you saw or what hacker did, why are we lacking the hacker section?

so, i just see a guy with speed hack, tried to report him and never found the hack section, he wasnt botting, he wasnt scamming, didnt have an innapropiate name, nor verbal abusing.

yet again he goes unpunished, i worked so hard to get that vista and he just “teleported” there.

Buy stealth bags, they dont show items in merchants so you cant sell them by mistake, do a bit more research next time, kudos.

its mainly used as a primary weapon tho.

it requires dexterity and its tricky to use, as an off-hand weapon would be really unaccurate, but nice suggestion.

Ranger doesn’t need it to conduct pets. Ranger is not pet master – sure he have pets, but as a loyal friend not a minion. You should more think of a Indiana Johnes – he had a whip, yea? Now imagine that awesomenes on your Ranger. Yeah, it’s awesome :P

A whip should be doable, not as a line, but maybe as a multi-bone controlled simple polygon. The difficulty should be in the animation of it, not the construction or rigging. If they can animate Charr tails, they should be able to animate a simplified whip.

Just think of Ivy’s Sword Whip in Soul Caliber, or a Flame Whip, Dragon’s Tail Whip, the possibilities are really only as limited as our imagination.

I think a Whip could be an excellent Crowd Control weapon. Medium range, works best not in direct melee, but just close enough to be in harms way. Inflicts bleeding and weakness, maybe a few seconds of fear. Yank an enemy in close then kick them back.

My initial tought when i made a mesmer and played him i tought “light” weapon users like Mesmer, Elementalist, Thieves, Ranger, Necromancers.
could use a whip, its an awesome weapon and it would be a great thing if they added whips in gw2.

Im tired of the same weapons in every MMO i play.

Greatswords: look at this huge gigantic sword wich no human can carry but i wield it like its a butter knife.

Swords: Meh.

there arent many mmos wich have this weapon, in fact i can count with a single hand the ones ive played that have whips, and GW2 being an “art” game where mostly you look for your character to be unique, why not add a new type of weapon, its kinda mainstream (and sorry for using that word) to always have the same type of weapons available in every game.
