I’d like the enter and exit buttons to be different rather then an arbitrary timer that forces you to stay in DS because you can’t control your skill spam.
It’s PvE run whatever makes you happy. But no, minions will stand around and Flesh Golem will go out of his way to aggro mobs (then stand around).
What I hate is I’ll be standing on somewhere ~2 feet high and the mob can’t hit me. It’ll turn invulnerable and I’ll realize “oh he can’t hit me up here”. But even if I come down it takes a minute for him to become vulnerable again. I’ve inadvertently caused my Ascalon Catacombs (path 1) to fail a few times due to this.
As far as I can tell the attack priority is:
inanimate objects
enemies out of aggro radius
enemies who were hit by the charge ability
invisible enemies who can only be defeated by not moving
enemies I’m currently attacking
I’m tripping over hoods as a light armored class. I’ll trade ya.

To be fair, he’s not noting the cooldown. He’s noting the duration of the bleed, which is 30 seconds. The Might applied will affect the full bleed duration, because it was active when the bleed was initially applied. In that, he is correct… and you are a troll.

An addition to it not being a 42% increase it’s also NOT 30 SECONDS. Why does everyone in this thread think the cooldown is the duration? The might lasts 12 seconds. Way to try the actual skill.
No, 10 necros putting their mark down would result in a 1 second fear. Remember Fear doesn’t stack.

I agree. Playing a Necromancer alongside any other class makes the Necromancer feel innately weak. Jon Peters is an impolitic nitwit with a keyboard on these forums but making it out to be that he’s against Necro players or that the developers are against Necromancers is foolish and unfounded.

Oblivious, yes. Apathetic, maybe. How could they not be aware of a single necro bug when the class had over 100 of them? They only have a QA team of 7 and necro was the odd man out?

Oh Gee thanks. Don’t bother testing the greater mark trait with the 5 other marks; your regression team is probably tired.
Here is an example. Necromancers at release had a trait that didn’t work. Greater Marks. The staff for the necromancer has 4 mark abilities. Yet only 2 of them were properly affected by Greater Marks. Why? This goes beyond ‘encountering a bug that is unforseen’. It feels more like the development team designed an ability and made no attempt to follow up to ensure it worked at its most basic level.
As a necro I’m not going to thank them for this reason.
As a software engineer I’m not going to thank them for having 100+ bugs at launch for a single class and them not being aware of it. I’d be fired for that gross oversight.

Even besides that, we can’t even move skills around. What if I want my elite to be first on my bar, my healing skill last, etc
Changing hotkeys is in the menu. They even support the Shift modifier.

When I read the title I thought of Chillblains/Greater Marks. My staff #3 does NOTHING.
Why is Anet kittening around with balance change for BiP when my weapon skills don’t do anything?

The first dungeon I did was AC explorable with my guild. It was a mess. Everyone broke their armor and we absolutely couldn’t get past the nest section. We quit and lost a bunch of money.
I just completed CoE explorable yesterday. It was my first time doing that dungeon (at all, haven’t done story) and it’s my 3rd dungeon overall. I completed it without damaging my armor (outside of the laser jump part which after 5 deaths I figured out that I could just port past all of them).
I absolutely love the “1 hit” mechanics of both dungeons. The “whirling” boss in AC and subject Alpha are my favorite parts of both dungeons. Once you learn to play, dungeons become fairly trivial. I’m tired of content that allows you to invite grandma so everyone can do it. If anything make dungeons harder. Make the rewards better. Make entering these harder dungeons with a less then full party have even better rewards. Make the trash mobs frighting!
I’m not sure how well a Halloween achievement would work out. Halloween is on the 31st, and half of the 31st in America will actually count towards November in achievements.
The halloween event will more than likely occur weeks before halloween

in 30 seconds if I have a full stack of 10 mights we can do a lot of damage. Think about all the rotations we can do in 30 seconds.
Seems like everyone would be happen if they kept this change and just gave us a 50% life force pool at the start.
No, 30 seconds is the cooldown of the skill. You have might for 12 seconds.

It is a utility that aoe bursts all the conditions of your target to everything in a very large radius. I tag EVERYTHING with my necro.
Now the downside is that I frequently find myself dodging like a madman while 5-10 mobs aggro the kitten out of me.Epidemic for tagging mobs in DE’s? Things die in about three seconds how exactly do you plan to get a decent condition stick, hit epidemic and do enough damage to tag in 3s?
Larger scale DEs with lots of veteran and champion mobs.
I agree with the guy above me, necros are probably the kings of DEs.

Really the only discussion left is which is better currently: a bugged plague signet, or SW. Condition sending vs life force and swiftness.
It really bothers me Anet just seems to tack the stun breaks onto skills. Plague Signet is an offensive ability that you want to use at specific times. When I’m stunned chances are they’re not in front of me and I don’t have conditions worth transferring.
Great skill (if it weren’t bugged), terrible stun breaker.

And really, its on EVERY attack. It doesn’t have to generate massive amounts of HP each time to drastically increase survivability.
If it was healing even for 500 it would be massively overpowered.

27 attacks and you’ve got yourself a 1000 health boost.
(I believe an engineer does ~150 heal per bomb attack that scales with healing)

Maybe the whole ‘lack of a lifeforce generation option’ should be looked at in conjunction with other recent changes. i.e. Spectral Walk, Last Gasp, and to an extent spectral grasp.
For starters, lets not use the argument ‘but Condi don’t use Soul Reaping in their builds’ or what not. We need to remember, meta is constantly changing, and this is amongst one of the changes.
Spectral Walk is still a viable stun breaker, and since Plague Signet still isn’t fixed, its a decent ability to use. It even gives life force now.
Last Gasp now offers the proper protection buff and breaks stun, not a bad trait either.
Spectral Grasp is still unreliable, but it too gives life force, moot point I guess.So OK, we have lost a good lifeforce skill in BiP, but the SR trait line now looks pretty good, maybe even a reason to go into it for Soul Marks, if you are so inclined to get lots of LF.

Still the gains DS gains don’t outweigh the DS loss in my eyes.
Last Gasp and Spectral Armor have always given you LF. You could have had them with BiP pre/post patch, they aren’t a factor.

You do realize that means you’d already have 17,500 condition damage for that to be true, right?

The necromancer is the most broken profession, and is clearly getting the most attention. Out of all those changes, most of them were bug fixes or nerfs for all professions, while the necromancer was the one who actually got meaningful skill buffs/ changes.
I can assure you necros were nerfed as well. I can’t even use my #3 staff skill but green light those balance changes Anet.
Sorry, just pop’d into other professions threads to see what they felt of this patch.
Haven’t tried it yet, but hopefully it gives LF even if it misses the target.

For me it’s well over 2%. If there’s conditions stacked on a target I see centimeters of lifeforce at times. Or maybe I’ve been fooled by something else generating LF.
It’s actually bugged. It doesn’t give any LF until you have at least 2 conditions on the target. (For 2%)
(Also bugged is my staff #4. Why are you balance fixing Anet?)

Ugh.
The 20% life force (down from 33% in the betas) was a huge draw for me. As a condition necro I had no other way of gaining life force. (Outside of whipping out my staff and autoattacking)
