@doomdesire: i Dont really remeber the pvp Level you should have needed to craft IL. Guess it was phoenix, so you farmed Like 1200 times cof or whatever and the pvpers did somewhat 2000+ matches. Seems fair to me.

Yes im sure that either sigil or runes is enough to increase the daze time to 3sec in pve and wvw, as the standart tactical strike lasts 2sec there (1,5 in pvp). Due to the long aftercast from cnd and Ts + 3sec revealed there is no real dazelock possible.
I Run a very similar build, Same traits, Different armor runes and sigils (air and fire) and it works very well. You need at least 45-50% crt Chance to make it work properly. Its a slow but steady Killer with relatively high sustain and less predictable than other builds.
Mesmer runes + para sigil do Not stack in duration.
Guardian: no need to buff the Best heal it Has. Buff the others
Mesmer: seems fine, still Not strong enough
Engi: absolutely no, that Would be too much of a nerf. (and i Dont Even have an engi) nerf ip
Thief: no, withdraw is fine. Buff venoms as always :-D
Ranger: yep
Ele: i Dont care, nerf might stacking
Warrior: i Dont care, nerf might stacking
Necro: i Dont care, nerf passive fear procs from runes

Yes it does need some sort of buff. The casttime is too long as it is now. And yes it just heals, Nothing more. Thats pretty boring.
I Would Like it to be a survival skill. So it could remove 2 conditions, Grant fury and the cd Would be reduced if traited. The numbers Would have to be adjusted but i think the casttime Would Keep it in Check (easily interrupted)

yes i do love my ranger, atm i like it even more than my thief. i dont slot sic em, i find it cheap and boring , so for me a change to aoe destealth (+3sec revealed if removed stealth) ground targeted would be a buff cuz i would maybe use it from time to time, as it would have its uses vs more than only 1 proffession.
you could remove shadow refuge, mass invis, veil…what a nerf.

my ranger and my thief only use 1 stun break, thats enough.
maybe i should ask the guards if they where fine with such a venom.

what if thief had a venom that instantly renders all blocks from guardians useless for 6 seconds? essentially the same, evrybody fine with it? (would be awesome in pvp)
i like the ground target idea, its a nerf and buff at the same time. much more utility than now ( it could even have a revealed debuff for 3sec but only if you remove stealth).

i love my ranger , especially with the recent buffs. but i never ever slot this skill. when i duel vs thiefs (which is my main proffession) i dont want to win because i use a skill which hardcounters all SA based builds. i want to win through skill and outplaying my opponent.
before you call me a thief in disguise who got ganked by sic em too much, yes…i admit i often get killed from that skill and a group of wildly attacking zerglings. sometimes i can survive sic em and burn all my utilities and dodges, but is that fair?
i think, it does too much for absolutely no efford and thats the reason i dont like this skill. not even on my ranger which has sometimes real problems vs certain thief builds.

For s/d and wvw id go for either shadow arts or acro. Not both a little. Trickery is Like a must and so is mug.
In the end a solid s/d built uses either 2/0/6/0/6 or 2/0/0/6/6. These two trait specs maximise defense while having decent offense. The First relies on stealth and blinds/dazes from tactical strike, the other on dodging. Both are very good.
There are ofc many other trait specs but i prefer These two.

This trait is Not slotted and i think he wont use it because u lose rtw (which is then also +10% dmg)
A proper lb ranger with enough condi removal (sotf) kills spirit rangers.
Well than play smart and use zerk ammy. The range of lb allows to use it, you just have to Keep the enemy away from meele.
Your Tools to do so: hunters shot, point plank, immob from spider x2, fear from doggy+ knockdown+cripple, muddy Terrain, lightning reflexes, gs block+knockback, swoop.
That is usually enough, at least for me.
And Yea, nm with sotf is better than bm for a lb ranger. I use pets for control Not dmg.

1. That dagger does Not fit in the pistol

Thematically tu should be a survival skill (it was in gw1). But since tu is fine and doesnt need any improvements, i really Like the idea of turning heal as one into a survival skill (if traited the condi remove should apply After the healing to add counterplay). This alone Would make it viable Even with the horrible casttime.
Yea dancing dagger needs a little love. But to make d/d viable id
1.Start with rework death blossom. It needs 1/2sec evade and a toggle skill that prevents spamming evades (low dmg)
2. 3sec revealed in pvp
Play a human/sylvari/norn/charr. Asuras are cheats!

I just watched the skillbar for thieves an warriors. When anet talked about thieves They said that dagger will Hit a Maximum of 2 targets in the Future. And sincs Nec dagger AA is very similar, i think it will cleave aswell.
Interesting, every time i tried to go with tanky power build(knight/soldeir) it felt like i cant pass the the substain of other tank/healing builds like d\d ele, gurdians, hammer warrior etc… how do you deal with that?
why using the “Two-handed training” trait? Between RAO/SOTF/pack rune you have 100% fury uptime and “strengh of spirit” trait will give you same bonus to damge for both GS and LG.
Wouldnt it better to cahnge predator’s instict trait to “malicious training” trait and play with wolf\jungle spider?
thats how i play it:
no need for soldiers , ranger with nm is enough. swap some zerker for more knights/or some cav if you feel to squishy.
(~5% less dmg but ~5% more dmg reduction)
two handed training is really not good so i pick either that vit to strength trait or evasive purity which is great (so your survival skills cleanse the most damaging condies).

I play this build with a 50/50 zerk knight mix but traveller runes (i cant stand normal walking speed).Atm i feel qz is a must have for lb cuz rapidfire is sooo slow. Next update will be Great for this built. Guess my utilities will be sos , muddy and lightning reflexes.

I think it wouldnt be op if it was a teleport. It Would just need a shorter immobilize Like infil strike. If you have no dodges left you eat the whole shatter, if you have one left you can dodge 50%. The Clones need to walk to your target which takes 0.5-1sec. Sure, you can create Clones right at your target with mirror Images and thus the Clones have no travelling time,but Thats a utility and should be rewarded.
You can Run s/d and d/p at the Same time. D/p for blinds and safety, escapes and s/d for Its control. You will See when you should switch from one Set to the other.
If you Run both Sets you are harder to predict and can deal with every proffession.

5sec revealed is just dumb. A dd thief Has Nothing to spend ini for except cnd and hs. 3 and 4 are trash. Blocks do Not fit to thief, we evade stuff or stealth out.
Btw, thief once Had protection (shadow protector beta), was op and didnt fit to thief.

Utility skill “u ded”. Kills enemy Player. 30sec cd, 1200range, instant. You can dodge it, this makes it balanced
After all im glad that These skills are on ranger and engineer. Imagine guardian and warrior Had a skill Like this → Instant 40hours of revealed stacked on your thief because the whole blob wants to See you dead.

I know it was a big Problem once where izerk constantly fails 1 or 2 Hits from Its whirl.
Anet said it is fixed now.
But still, Sometimes my izerk Hits only for Like 2,5k on an enemy Who didnt dodge at that time.
Yesterday i was in a duel vs a warrior (i guess quite tanky) and exactly this happened multiple times. That iZerker barely scratched him.
I was running a full zerk Power pu mes with max guard Stacks and max bloodlust (~2,700+ Power, 50% crit Chance + fury on phant, +20% phant dmg).
So, im Not able to do the maths as i Dont know the formula etc.
How much toughness did this warrior Had when my izerk only did 2,5k dmg to him?
Or is it possible that this phantasm still fails to Hit all of Its attacks in some occassions?
Wrong. You cannot outrun your own Pet. It travelles at the Same speed as you do. But this does Not work in combat. Runes of the travelles have no effect on the in combat speed of your Pet. But ooc ot travelles just as fast as you (Even “Ports” to you when it is behind).
Well my thief wants a hardcounter vs med guards. I Do Not want to have to outplay them anymore. I want an easy way. A skill that prevents any blocks for 6sec. Instant, 1200range Minimum.
Or a utility that converts direct dmg to lifeleech, very nice against mrpassive (warrior).

If you Solo roam you Dont need Sbow, take s/d as secondary Set. Aim for 50%crit Chance via Stacks and food, 15k HP and 2,5 armor. This build is very fun to play, good sustain, can kill everything.

If you want some better burst, take thrill of the crime and use air+fire sigill.
Long reach is just Not necessary. You got a low cd steal, infil strike, shadowshot, shadowstep, heartseeker.
Your opening combo could be: infil strike – steal+cnd – switch to d/p – backstab.

Interrupting your current Action does Not work because if you try to heal in that Moment it Would kill you again (except withdraw)
