I do not care for ranks. Played some matches at the start of leagues, got really bored from all those aids-builds. So I stopped to play this game after amber. I do not care for this game anymore. HoT was the worst update in guild wars history (that includes gw1).
And no to the kid who might ask for stuff from my account, you can’t have it as I got nothing.
Anywhere you Want. Ingame, here, on reddit (This works best). It doesnt really matter. It will be ignored and nothing will Change. Save your time and do other things….outside This game
I really like your ideas evilapprentice. But daredevil does exactly what you Want acro to so. I mean…those buffs to dodges should be in acro like before acro nerf…and daredevil should get something else than enhancing dodges or wnb acro 2.0.
But since This wont increase anets income, they wont do any big changes. I expect some minor buffs to venoms (again) , some little putput for traps (kittening again). And some cheap number tweaks for daredevil.
Acro does not even exist.

Some proffessions have real safestomps…and that is okay? While thief has only ss stomp/stealth and blind. All not real safestomps as you or your team can counter the thief while stomping.
I think anet should give us back sword ss stomps. I know they said thief should need offhand pistol to secure a stomp , but they nerfed that too and they really shouldnt force us even More into d\p.
Actually Pulmonary Impact is so strong it should reveal thief for 6sec min. I mean…its spammable? It one shots ppl left and right.
Just yesterday i had an intense fight vs a scrapper engi, we both gave our best, i fighted for my life, he mashed all his buttons, i interrupted the engi, pulmonary impact incoming… And then:
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!

Undo fs/ls nerf (2boons stolen, fs and ls unblockable)
Reduce aftercast on almost all sword skills
More dmg or control from tactical strike

Backstab is not Fine. It could need a little Bit More dmg.
Vault is fine…it keeps staff alive.
True shot is too mich, but thats not thief so it doesnt belong here.
If you keep them zerk you end up with like 14k hp. Still not enough in my opinion ans you dont needs its precision because you already habe 50% chance. Either make weapons valk or marauder. I took marauder cuz More overall stats.
Although i now learned from dodge-god that marauder has wasted stats (i just need to find out which of them are wasted) i still think marauder is the Best thing what happened to thief with the expansion.
I think nobody asked for this “bugfix”, they die that on their own.

Well I give up. Op was asking if its worth, my opinion is yes (and mathematically it is worth it). Yours is the opposite, no problem with it.

(i just think he trolls this thread, because he should know that toughness is only viable if you have enough hp -i think after 18k? – and only lowers direct dmg not conditions. But vitality, while not as good vs sustained dmg but still helpfull , gives you the chance to survive a couple conditions AND physical dmg bursts)

Thats why every thief rund zerker in pvp. Maybe i should start playing p/p with lotus Dodge…i mean…thats OBVIOUSLY the Best Dodge trait for this set.
6k is more than half of thief base hp. I Can trade that 5%dps for more sustained dmg.
I went full asc marauder. Now i Can survive 1 Hit…sometimes.
Honestly, its very good. Ans it shows what thief really needs (mid tier hp pool).
Current meta for roaming in bl is autorun ele without armor and weapon. Why ele? Because lowest health.
Thats exactly what happened to me! THREE unavoidable 4k backstabs into my dragonhunters back all while i couldnt see the thief A SINGLE SECOND! This is no pvp. In all honesty…i must not stealth like a coward. I put my traps and fight on node like a real man. No running like a coward. I must not rip all your boons with skill 3 spam while perma invis, dodging is for softies. I facetank like a real man. Lol backstab buff?!? Real man dont ask for buffs!

Other skills from thief aswell , like tactical strike (the daze is just too good) , larcenous strike (lol 1 boonsteal on NO cooldown).
And stealth-dodge thieves…this needs to be removed or toned down. Perma stealth + perma evade + perma blind + perma backstab is just too much in one built.
Lol at you guys asking for buffs, get real. This noskill profession is overpowered, and I’m not the only one who thinks this way. Ask anyone in lionsarch.
I really wish anet will show some love for s/d. Shorter aftercasts , 2xboonsteal on ls, more dmg or other cool stuff on tactical strike (the ridiculous aftercast interrupts you more than the kittenty daze does the enemy)

i prefer pvd farming eotm over “exploring” the new maps.
played the new borderlands for 10mins, got really bored from fighting pve mobs.
i just hate myself for buying this expansion…

no man…i thought i rush this 400 hp shid and skip the boring pve. i was so wrong…cannot rush cancer maps without grind mastery system, dont want to grind, no time to grind. wasted 40€ on the most unfun expansion in this century.
i hope the responsible dev loses his /her job

staff is 100% trash
no burst, no sustain , huge animations , clunky, ugly staff skins, massive initiative consume
staff is our worst weapon, and its in such a bad state (even worse than p/p ever was) that i cant think of any improvement that could make it viable. this thing needs a complete rework or :
take my staff….gimme rifle.

To the op: Yea d/d is more of pve Set now. Before the last patch you could use it in wvw but it was Always inferior to d/p.
D/p offers more control, movement, more dmg (because you can stick to your enemy Like glue) more survivability and only Slightly less burst.
I personally do Not Like d/p very much, its boring, but sadly much better then thiefs other Sets.

i dont claim to be the first to try this build or share it and since the last big patch one cannot be really creative anymore when it comes to builds.
so far so good, here is what i play from time to time when im bored of D/P kitten or any other meta builds.
i do know that some traits that are used in this build are rather weak (or whole traitlines, hello acro) but its just a fun build. so relax and heal what you cannot dodge anymore (acro nerf).
I Would also say that thief needs either more Base hp or more active defenses (Like dodges and a blind added to cloak and dagger), or Maybe Even both.
Right now there is no point in playing anything other than d/p as thief. Its hard enough with this weaponset and others are just lacking.
I Dont want other proffessions to be nerfed, no specific ones, Maybe a little less direct dmg on all proffessions (except ranger, Their dmg scales so horribly They arent Even doing more dmg Post patch).
Also burning needs to be looked at. Some proffessions can stack insane amounts of burning in super short time Without proper animations. Why should i want to Run Without toughness or low hp to burst someone when i can do the Same burst with huge defenses and burning? Something is wrong here.
Hum, recovery is a tad too strong Right now. Others are good.
I hope anet Keep them Like They are Atm except recovery which needs 15sec cd

Yesterday i played spite/death/soul with marauder amulet corrupt boon, sw and sa and i must say this worked really well. Not much less dmg than zerker (except dagger Auto) but so much more sustain.

Right After the Patch i ran spite/death/soul with d/d and staff with zerk amulet. Dagger Auto Hits insanely hard so does shroud 1, conditions do Not really matter as this built Has more condi cleanse than anything in this game. Its quite selfish and suffers in outnumbered situations.
Today i tried spite/blood/soul with marodeur amulet wells and Same weapons. This built Has more sustain and aoe dmg but much less spike Potential.
So my question is, what do you guys Run and why?
You can use that haste proc from Trickery now. Its mich more reliable since you know when you Hit the enemys back or side.
But i feel with you…S/d is also my Favorit weaponset. Play it After patch from time to time but Its just inferior to d/p
And assassins reward could need a buff…Its heal is so tiny compared to all this huge dmg flying around.
Maybe change it to: heals for x amount when you successfully dodge an attack?
i just dont get why they nerfed fg in this update…teef so squishy now and s/d really needs that extra dodges with this insane dmg.

cloaked in shadows is quite essential for dagger offhand, just like shadows rejuv.
d/p doesnt need that blind so it outshines dagger offhand atm.
id put that fall dmg trait back to adept combined with last refuge. and merge cloaked in shadows with hidden thief. would thematically fit.
this would help dagger offhand to compete with d/p. and balance wise it wouldnt change much except pulling d/d and s/d out of the bin.
so…we would need a new grandmaster then

Anet added and will add more hardcounters to stealth, nerfed burst and survivability of thieves. There is no point in having a 4sec reveal in pvp anymore (if it ever was necessary). All it does is making it harder for d/d to survive between stealthing since death blossom is Not a real evade which you can count on.
I used travelers for a long time, then They lost almost all their stats.
Then i used pack, nice ones. But since roaming is 90% walking around and lookin for ppl u can fight, i got mad about being so slow (i do Not always want to switch an utility for runspeed…im lazy).
So i Made myself a full ascended zerker Set and use runes of speed.
Works very well for me.

Noone plays with These utilities
Sotf Power is superior to eb Power.
1.on demand condi clear
2.higher crit Chance due to 80% + fury uptime
3.higher Power due to adept trait in nature
4. Much more control over opponent thru entangle and muddy Terrain
5.more hp
Cons:
Slightly squishier vs other Power builds
Slightly lower crit dmg (2%?)
PS: qz is Not needed, i prefer spider over owl because it doesnt die as easily and Has alot immob and a Poisen field.
