@Drednyte if your “friends” are on BP, they were caught more times by multiple servers than AR ever was. And no, I do not know who is was or does exploit/glitch on AR. I have not seen it or been around it. Assumption only makes you look ridiculous. Now carefully read this, I am in Wv3 on AR a good part of the time. I have not once seen or have been a party to any exploits or glitches, and as far as I am aware none of the people I play with have either. Now if one guild is responsible report them, if I ever see it I sure will no matter what server they belong to. Saying the players on AR who have been here since day one should leave the server isn’t going to happen. A lot have been here as long as I have. You may not enjoy this, but the facts are Wv3 is a total of 4 maps, groups that do these sorts of things tend to do them outside of the community and painting an entire server with a label while easy, is painfully ignorant.

Well I’m glad you are rolling servers and not using exploits to win. Testing to win we can call it. I can do this forever. Viva DR, thank you for helping test exploits, I’m sure in the long run will help the overall game experience. Thank you again.

Who knows at this point. Then again I’m not the guy who repeatedly insulted your server. Maybe that person needs to recant what they said. You want to blame some people or a guild on AR for using an exploit, I can accept that, but that does not represent an entire server and I think the good players of AR that have nothing to do with that type of activity deserve it.

Now I wonder how many other tests DR has run through the course of the last 2 weeks. PRO, thank you on behalf of the entire GW2 community for your tireless testing of glitches. I’m positive now, there is no question this is just a misunderstanding.

And thank goodness 3 naked upscaled mesmers couldn’t possibly portal 60 people into an enemy keep. Whew, and I thought this wasn’t going to have any clear and legitimate explanation. See, this definitely isn’t a failed attempt to glitch an enemy structure guys. And remember, any other time it may happen in the future, it’s just testing.. but only when it’s DR, A-Net’s official testing crew.

Oh see that, just checking to see if an exploit was fixed, that explains it. Why check the one you own, that would just be silly. Totally believable.

I refuse to believe anyone on DR was attempting to glitch or exploit, because by the logic of a major guild on DR that would mean the entire server are hackers and exploiters and a joke server. I mean, I swear that a co-guild leader said something like that in this very thread. Foot meet mouth. I play the game without any grey area, so does my guild. I would strongly appreciate an apology to the MAJORITY of the AR players, because all of the people I have played with play fairly, and painting any server with such a broad brush is just a brazen display of utter stupidity.

@Rob It isn’t about me defending the thief. Or about how well you swept SM. The fact is that it is not outside the realm of possibility that he could have hidden in there if he was able to destroy siege without you stopping him then I can’t not believe he could have easily hidden in there as well.

Really depends on the Ranger spec and if people utilize combo field pets and spirits correctly. Most rangers have no idea what they are capable of in a group setting.

@Oozo I’m not sure if you have come across many rangers that know what they are doing. You may be painfully surprised.

@Drednyte I need a rematch with you. Only had the one true 1 v1 at the east supply the other day after killing your warrior guildie with the legendary and chasing away thief he was with. Had the ele I was with watch the corpse because they were admiring his sword. Not a bad fight considering I had already put in 18 hours. You def popped that shield at the perfect time.

To the AoD folks camping Speldan, I am just harassing you guys because I am painfully bored and it seems I can kill your yaks at will and still bow before your numbers take me down. Why can’t 5 of your elite skilled players stop one solo ranger from killing your supply lines? That little Asura thief though, we are 1 and 1, I will be looking for another go if I see you. I don’t think you knew what you were getting into round one.

Well, lets see, when the numbers are nearly equal what do we have … A nearly even match- up. Yes, you are right, DR is way WAY better, like a whole supply camp better.

Oh look, the rare “we are better than you” post. You almost never see that coming. Oh some of the population of DR are so cute.

I just wish AR could get slightly better overall coverage. Great guilds and great players on this server, just not quite enough Wv3 population.
I like the little bit of chest thumping that goes on in these threads because it’s healthy for competition, but beating a group of PuGs with premade or guild groups isn’t all that difficult to do. When I two man camp runs, the enemy die a lot more than we do, but it’s purely because the players working together know each others play style, and the communication is on a much higher level. Do we eventually get rolled by much higher numbers, yeah of course, but then again sometimes I just get bored and NEED to rush a zerg.

Had a really fun time in DR BL tonight flipping all of the supply with a little 2 man team. Hope it kept folks there busy. Happy New Year to all 3 servers.

@dunnberry every server is doing the exact same thing, doing what they can to make points. I have heard playing for second in posts in the past. It’s was an absurd comment then and it’s an absurd comment now.

Please report them, use the in game system where you send the screen shot, not just the right click report option.

Been on AR since launch and the players that have been here and stayed here always fight to the bitter end. The core of AR never ever quits.

I agree that I would like to see our more PvE s/tPvP members give Wv3 a look, but it never hurts to advertise.

Anvil Rock… no fancy video, nope. No specific time zones, nope. No queues? They are rare and never on all our maps. Server Alliance with voice, we have that on Anvil. Stout pugs and smaller group play, indeed! Huge PvE community? Oh lord do we have one! Can do attitude? Anvil has loads of that, in fact, we are brimming with it! Challenging matches to test your Wv3 mettle, that’s the only kind we get! So come on over and give Anvil Rock a try!

@irishhaf That was the most open and honest heartfelt post I have seen in ages with absolutely no sarcasm at all.

The fact is DR doesn’t come close to the BP population AR fought against. May have changed during their last match up though. Had fun defending that SE supply camp in DR BL about 12 hours ago. Have a little trouble ousting our little 3 man from a supply camp?

Character class has nothing to do with your ability to lead or tactics. The end.

That’s exactly why people complain about the thief class, it’s the only class in the game that allows for this, D/D eles to a point, but no where as painfully obvious or blatantly so as the thief class.

I have seen both sides of this argument so many times and always see the same thing. People saying thief is over powered, thief saying if you build a class that is glass built, you deserve to lose to a thief, and how thief has low health etc. Here is the only issue I have with the argument, the thief can build glass and still maintain a certain level of survivability due to stealth, no other class in the game can get away with that, and according to most thieves, deserve to die because of this. I have had to adjust my build in order to deal with the thief class, high toughness and lower damage losing utility that can help my group just to survive. But I don’t see how it’s right every player needs to change their build due to a singular class.

@Morningstar I don’t do any recording, never see much point in it, considering how often it gets dealt with. By teleporting I mean flashing across the screen over repeatedly to get away from death, and I know you guys are usually clean, but running across two players in a fairly short time is disheartening. He was already reported. Just wanted your side to keep an eye open for it, because the higher you go, the more you are going to see it. Clearly Stormwolf thinks that this is labeling DR a server just full of hackers. You seriously can’t weed all of them out, but if A-Net gets enough reports, they will hopefully respond to it. I mean, they ban people for abusive language for god’s sake.

@StormWolf If had had not stated that it was two of your players I could possibly agree with you. I never said anything about the server in general. What would make you assume I said all of Devona hacks? Why so defensive? I CLEARLY stated two players and the guild in which the one that was guilded was in, the other was not. What you do with the info is up to you. You want these folks on your server, that’s up to you, all I can do is report it. But getting immediately defensive after quoting what I said doesn’t tell me you are the kind that actively reports it, you may be, you may have just misread what I typed.

Oh Devona I have already had to report two of your players today for hacking(well botting, it’s my only option), is this how you have decided to come up in the ranks. Tell the norn warrior in AoD that warriors don’t have a teleport. I have to say, I am really disappointed, and on Christmas Eve no less. (No it’s not lag, been doing Wv3 for over 1000 hours now, pretty sure I recognize a hack when I see it by now.) Santa isn’t going to bring you any presents if you keep this kind of behavior up.

I don’t know if there is a bug or not, and Lick Wounds has always been hit or miss, but recently I have noticed that my downed skill 2 is also working only about 10% of the time. I can have a the character targeted, they have no boon that should stop a stun, no aegis and still it does absolutely nothing almost every time. Anyone else experience this as of late?

Really more curious as to what was deemed inappropriate if it is true. And isn’t there a filter?

I said it in the other thread and I will say it again, this match is going to be the first real test for DR. So far you guys are putting up a good showing, but the week is going to be a lot longer and more expensive than the last several you guys have seen. Really happy to see you out in force tonight. Hopefully the trend will continue for the rest of the week and we can have some great fights.

But everything will get flipped and flipped and flipped again, because not one of the servers in the match up are likely to concede and just give up(but the reality is there are some places I won’t upgrade if there has been a player on a treb for going on 5 hours, waste of my time to upgrade until I can counter the it, and frankly I am too tired to work out the siege placement on it tonight).

So far I have been having a great time this match. Just setting up our little corner of EB right now though, so I haven’t run into much action … there is always tomorrow though. Unfortunately I have a hard time leaving our 3rd until I know its at least upgraded and siege is up.
But it is easy to see why you guys have moved up in tier DR, running a population that’s bigger than both opponents you are fighting couldn’t have been fun for you guys. At least you may get a little challenge. Match is still young though, so time will tell.

Have faith in your teammates and trust your commanders and it will be fun times DR resident! Regardless of win/lose. After all, that’s why people Wv3 isn’t it?

No harm. I try to maintain a certain level of humility, but it is true that it isn’t the norm on most of the forum posts we see. I’m just here to have fun.

Ok, fair enough, I will be happy to correct you. DR has a higher population than the T7 and T8 servers. I don’t think anyone in those tiers would disagree. The population and coverage increases as you ascend tiers, as I’m sure servers that move up the ladder would attest to. Saying that this would be a more adequate test for the new and improved DR is hardly inaccurate, and at no point states in any way stomping another server. However I have come to the conclusion you are trolling for responses and not actually reading the text in the above posts.

Well, it’s true that it is mathematically possible that GoM can take second, and in reality first while holding 695 for the next 24 hours. I don’t think it would drop ARs ranking to T7 by the current score.
@Jeknar where are you getting your information from? Have you spoken to someone in AR that has given you this impression? Never underestimate any opponent, or you will lose the battle before it ever begins.

@Kardiamond I hope so, I want all of our opponents to bring their absolute best. It’s that very thing that helps our server improve.

@ Kard considering what I have been up against in the past, no size zerg really bothers me. What they will be facing that they are not used to is 2 seperate servers with strong Wv3 regulars that for all intents and purposes will never give up and much closer population numbers. Only time will tell how they fare as they move up. I hope they do well and bring their very best, honestly I do, but as a whole this will be DR’s first real test vs larger organized servers.

Anvil Rock awaits your imminent arrival DR although you may be surprised at how much the population increases from tier to tier, so be ready to bring your best around the clock and expect to lose a lot of sleep. @kreese looks like that will be happening match up after next if the current trend continues.

@Rob Going to have to take all that back when I get home…again. Hopefully the AR who were on gave you guys a challenge though.

@Kardiamond I think that the"We are outnumbered but we have more skill" thing is pretty normal. He has server pride, I respect that. Last night when I logged off we had very solid momentum, and EB was left in Anvil’s more than capable hands. Really happy to see that the overall momentum carried. When I logged in yesterday we didn’t own anything in EB and we didn’t even have 10 for the break out. When I finally left we were doing really well, all credit to the individual players on AR, all I am is a GPS for people to gather on. Keep fighting the good fight AR, work can’t hold me forever!

@DrSparkles Was just questioning it, not really lip. As a Commander I know I need to be able to explain my tactics on occasion, and at the time NSP was mostly done in EB, not really posing a threat, so I really didn’t have the option to not push off GoM while we had upgrades going, and Pang is a far better camp for Overlook than Speldan is. Needed the breathing room on it.

But like I said earlier, your response times were great, tried to flip between Durios and QL, but you guys were on point. Now if I can just get the folks here to understand golems don’t tank on the oil, I’d be golden.

@DrSparkles The “zerg blinders” hit at QL, so I knew the wipe was unavoidable, but yeah you guys definitely held your own and pushed in, props to the GoM that were there, some days are harder than others to keep the entire group focused.
I was asked why I pushed GoM later, and the exact reason was indeed Pangloss, but I’m pretty sure you guys knew that, needed to keep you off there so we could continue fortifying overlook, couldn’t keep losing the supply camp.
