Like others that have left the server, I wish nothing but the best for you and your guild. Good luck on your future endeavors. Not sure how well you guys will work with some of the other guilds there, I foresee some personality conflict. Hopefully the time was taken and the decision was what was best for the people who transferred, and not done due to some odd sense of pride from one person over a video game.

@Nalivan & Plok Some serious conflict in those two stories. That is what’s really funny. So either you were inside a tower you didn’t own and wiped out a zerg from inside(which is impossible of course), or were inside a tower you did own, and watched the wall go down then wiped a zerg, which given the right classes we have seen happen with under 10 people. I like the lack of continuity that usually comes from [GOAT]. Maybe you are talking about 2 different towers? Maybe you are just trolling, after all, that is the one thing that [GOAT] does well.
@Rob It’s cute you think that was a golem rush. If you didn’t notice that it was just PuGs in golems. If people don’t get the chance to use them they won’t know how. I clearly explained in /t that it was an important learning experience for the people piloting them. They wanted to fight the grub in them at first if it gives you any idea as to the “planning” behind the golem rush. And 8-10 golems is really nothing, even though one player questioned me just letting the PuGs take them. Still wondering where the other 2 went if only 8 showed up there. Maybe they did try and fight the grub.
@Jscull Nothing negative about you or your guild, just saying if you are ok with the odds one way, you should be OK with them the other. Nothing but love for everyone in this match up. One of the previous rounds I ran into PAXA with a 4 man was in a camp, you use the same technique I use while we 2 man camps, root & AoE, it’s effective when you don’t see it coming. Killed 3 of the 4 of us. No, I don’t die easy as long as I am somewhat awake and coherent.
@Jscull If your guild has no issue chasing 1 player halfway across a BL you should embrace 4 to 1 odds. You kids don’t seem to have any issues when the odds are 5 to 1 in your favor.
@Fraeg Couldn’t agree more, and I love going up against BP, on the other hand there is a reason certain players who’s names I will not mention have had their guild abandon them for another server.

The lack of respect for your opponents and self righteous sense of superiority is exactly why BP faltered. Glad to see some of it’s members got past that, sad some did not. Should link this thread to the BP recruiting thread, that would give people that may potentially transfer a good idea of the type of people they may encounter on the server. At least they have people on their side that are keeping any type of real transfers away from the server. It was never the forum trolls on BP that bothered me, it was always the few ignorant people posting on it’s behalf that are actually this conceited and self centered.
Don’t transfer to any server, stay where you are. Your server needs you! Have some server pride, build friendships, and take your server as far as it can go and be competitive.
“we’re just better than you.” Glad to see the tier 5 spanking hasn’t changed some of BP’s players poor attitudes. By the way, was the rematch against Yak’s Bend as epic as you guys thought? Oh lord, your players produce comedy gold!
With the impending end of free transfers I see a lot of recruitment threads, which is to be expected. What I find a little questionable are the large servers still mass recruiting. Do people find it fun to be on a server where they make no impact? Does the idea of excessive queue times really appeal to guilds? Not to mention that if you are transferring just to be a winner, but can’t even get into any Wv3 map for sometimes upwards of an hour, are you actually winning? Any guild worth anything should stick it out with their server and learn to improve instead of taking the road most traveled and transferring. The way I see it, if you love Wv3 for what it is, you stick with your homeworld, win or lose, and more often than not, actually get to Wv3 when you want. If you are weak and enjoy easy mode play you transfer to a high queue time server you get to be a “winner” but the opportunity to play is drastically reduced, you become nothing more than a number in a crowd.
I am proud to have been on Anvil Rock since release, proud of what the server can accomplish. I guess I just don’t understand the transfer to win mentality.
@Hexin Well, actually, the golem was me too. I had a thing going with a guildie to see how far I could walk it under the current conditions. I got a lot farther than I thought I would. I build them on occasion when I’m bored, because a) they are cool and b) I have a lot of them in my bag so why not have fun with them. As far as sending more people, the reason the one got through was a timing issue on my part, I let it get too close to the garrison, but after 6 hours of it, I was getting sloppy.
I have bled for Anvil Rock as much as anyone and will continue to do whatever it takes to give them a fighting chance, unless I get really bored, then I’ll just run off somewhere and build a treb and beat on a building until I get a second wind.
And I did catch one /bow in the exchange, but I was busy checking the soil content at the time.
While I enjoy flipping supply camps and killing yaks inbound to ARBL garrison, I gotta sleep sometime. 6 hours of sniping yaks and solo flipping camps. Good call the one time you sent 5 or so to stop me, you got one yak in, hooray Kaineng! Now if I could have just had one more person helping out, you’d have gotten zero.
P.S. you really don’t need 30-40 people to take a supply, I do it solo all the time, give it a try, it’s liberating.
P.P.S. I have run into one or two people on your server that have a little skill, but you all need to break out of the hive mind mentality or you WILL have problems up a tier or two.
@Kain players in EB around this time. Trust me, if you outnumber us and still run to your guards and are being repeatedly beaten with more players all the while using siege against us, you have absolutely no reason to laugh, unless it is about how bad you are.
IBANKAII Nothing in your post surprises me in the least. I, however, do not have jerseyshore on blueray, so I guess I’ll be on the battlefield when I escape work.
@dabomb next time you have both break outs and 10 or so people start the first timer, rotate to the second and start that timer and split the groups 5 and 5, it will buy you the time you need to siege up one of the towers and hold it long enough to at the very least farm some badges. If the tower has been held awhile it should also hold enough supply on the flip, and watch the breakable walls for build sites, no way they should have been able to put those catas up if you are aware and set up right. Just an idea.
@Rob I’m sure that a few AR have decided that it isn’t worth the fight, but some of us have to work to support our beer and porno addictions, or pay the bills, I can never remember which one it is. A lot of Anvil players aren’t on during the hours you are.
And to address an earlier post TCMM did move from GoM to AR, they have a decent presence in Wv3, but are not the largest guild on the field most nights. We were happy to get a more Wv3 geared guild after losing 3 that could field huge numbers(ANV,TFO, and MVP).
@bradderzh there are ways to defend on that, and in all honesty that is a poor use of prints and supply on the attackers part. At work though, will work out a few new tower layouts after I get back in the game now that I see the strategies they are using.
My favorite thing to do is a casual siege, so I have to make sure that what and where I place things get passed by and over looked. If you find a cata or treb in an odd spot, figure out the why, and you will also know who most likely put it there. I spend a lot of time finding new ways to do the same old thing, it’s kinda a hobby. But I usually don’t start that until the reset hysteria has settled down.
P.S. Just ignore the little white swords on things, I swears, it’s not me trying to take a tower with one cata in a weird spot in the terrain with 1 or 2 other people. I would never do that.
Not saying it’s a bad thing, and I am sure Kaineng is figuring out that AR honestly LOVES a fight, I know that the real core players here on AR would feel a little empty if we had gotten the level of transfers that Kaineng has received. Anvil has been making slow and steady overall improvements in the Wv3 realm, and honestly I think it’s the right way to move through the ranks. Because of the way we have been improving we have far fewer “fair weather” players, we know how to take a loss, because I believe AR has only won twice in the history of week long matches.
Here is hoping the same things don’t happen to Kain that have happened to servers that have moved too far too fast.
Personally I feel bad for real Kaineng players, the one’s who actually worked hard and fought to bring their server up. I see far more transfer guilds than real Kaineng guilds. A real shame no one will ever know if you were ever actually good enough to break out of the lower tiers on your own. I was honestly expecting something new or better than what I have seen so far considering the chatter from the previous threads. Well, the round is still young, maybe something new will peek out aside from the painful waste of gold from poorly planned golem sieges. I see why you had a problem vs DR, they are far more organized, and still not as organized as BP was. Will you guys win due to better overall coverage, yep, will you lose a ton of gold if you keep doing silly stuff, you can expect it. And please keep feeding us golems, they are delicious!
I know that from what we have heard Kain has a lot of people, good for them, and that they fully expect T6 to roll over and die while they trounce up the ranks. Now AR and NSP may not win next round, but the tier 8 golden child is going to get a fight. Both AR and NSP have seen numbers, it’s nothing we aren’t used to.
Only 4 rank points away from DH right now. Kain is def moving up. Really am curious if NSP stays how well they will deal with AR NA prime and NSP’s prime. 4 points and 1 day, I think you guys have a shot.

Still no info, is it the same group, same time of day, have they been reported, has someone tried to contact a rep from the guilds in question? I’m not on until N/A prime and the only time I have seen any server exploit it wasn’t AR. Not saying it doesn’t happen on AR, I just haven’t seen it. I don’t believe that any of the guilds shown in the pics are alliance.
I do find it pretty amazing that when multiple screen shots of a huge group of NSP players are shown caught in an exploit no one even takes notice but an off prime small group with nothing but post flipped tower pictures makes such a stir. Did this group exploit to get in, were any walls or doors down? We can’t tell by the pictures. Not saying it didn’t happen, just that the screens don’t show us much. The Bravost pics show everything and not a word of negativity about NSP as a server, think about it.
@TogoChubb totally agree and hopefully you reported it. No point in any server doing this. Kinda wish you had the before screens, but I understand it’s tough to get those.
Looking for a good challenge? Looking for more WvW in your WvW, then why not give Anvil Rock a try? Anvil Rock is currently a tier 6 NA server with a lot of heart. While we may not be the most powerful server out there, we hold our own(quite literally when it comes down to our Borderlands). We here at Anvil rock have a very good core of Wv3 and would love to build upon it, and part of that building could be you, yes you! AR has a server TS and an exceptional NA prime time (not 4 maps queued crazy though). As time has progressed AR has developed a more welcoming and friendly WvW structure and most people here are positive minded and more than happy to show people the ropes. AR also has an extensive PvE community should you wish to break away from the field of battle.
So come on down and give Anvil Rock a try, the only thing you have to lose is 7 days. Also the current T6 match up is really balanced so the fights aren’t generally overwhelming. Feel free to PM if you have any questions!
@Rob You are totally correct. Please underestimate AR as a server. I think it says something in The Art of War about underestimating your opponents but I can’t for the life of me remember what.
AR players posting. Let it pass, the match up is over as of tonight. Constantly rehashing something after some passionate posting will only entice more of the same. At this point there is no need for it. Next round should be interesting.
OK, time to recant a funny thing that happened in EB earlier. I was conducting my standard casual siege, you’d have to be there to understand but I do casual siege regularly, two or three people just relaxing and taking a wall down and chatting about the days events, on Mendon’s with a solitary catapult on the wall, and we flip it over. Not too long after Mendon’s goes green again. So we roll back around and what do we find, one lonely catapult waiting for us to take the wall down again. Forget mesmer sweeps, now we need catapult sweeps. I love not having to run for supply, thanks folks!
What really confuses me is one says the whole server is full of hackers the other says 8-10 people. Now lets consider at any given moment AR can field around 200 Wv3 players on 4 maps. The majority are either on ARBL or EB(where I am about 90% of the time), how am I supposed to know what the other players on the maps are doing if 1. They are not announcing it 2. I’m not there.
So I guess the first question would be is it 8-10 people out of a population of probably 300+ players or all 300+, or maybe like 150 or so. Because if it’s 8-10 players you can’t say AR as a whole is some vast hacking server with a cover up conspiracy because it’s ridiculous.
Where have I said it doesn’t or hasn’t happened, or happen on every server. Please find my quote. Does the majority of AR exploit, or is it a select group, that’s what’s in question. Do I know who is responsible for it when or if it does happen, no. Maybe the words I’m using are complex, or english isn’t your first language.
On a side note, if you don’t expect people who have been on AR since launch and have fought their tail off for the majority of it’s server to defend it, you’re crazy. But please insinuate I have anything to do with any exploits or covering them up, it amuses me as well as the people on AR who know me.
