No, this was much earlier (the hacking accusation). Have to remember KAOS is small, so we tend to switch up classes quite a bit. But yes, we did have fights ruined by cannons and zergs a more than a few times. Mixx logged for the night by the time OHai was there. Bad Mixx!

AR, keep in mind that there are still a few days in this match up, so nothing is final. Yes, it is fun to be in first(but it has been a long time since we have been in this position, and there are no guarantees it will become a habit), and on reset we were getting hammered, we have to do better.
It isn’t as if we are suddenly first in Gold League. Win, if we do, with grace and humility. Both DR and GoM have given us a superb match up this week, and I applaud both servers.

Like I said on AR forums, respect your opponents and remember where you came from. Anvil Rock, we have a long way to go, and this is turning out to be a solid, respectful match up, keep it that way.

We are terrible with organisation. We have a teamspeak server that people don’t want to use and then people don’t listen in game chat. If we could actually organise our numbers we could potentially be first.

Logged in a realized DH doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving. This clearly shows they are either all from out of the States or godless heathens with no sense of family (I lean toward the latter).

Agreed, the amount of perplexity build emote spamming idiots from DH I have come across this match far exceeds any other in my whole time in GW2. It just shows this server has a significant amount of bad apples. It’s sad really.

At least DR is classy. I’ve always liked fighting that server because they are a good bunch.

Eh, I really don’t think AR is in a good spot to be talking about other servers having a significant amount of bad apples. Dh was able to behave itself perfectly during the FUN-ASAP GvG (good fights by the way, to both) until we got repeatedly knocked of the wooden platform by various AR trolls. Even then, only 2 of our people responded, the rest just stayed and REPEATEDLY had to fend off AR attacks/troll attempts for the remainder of the evening.

What is even worse is before that, while Dh was trying to get to the GvG to watch it (and even when [fun] arrived for the GvG), we were getting killed in the arena randomly and were getting spawn camped by like 8 people.

I have never seen such poor behavior from so many people in a bronze server… ever.

Honestly all around the amount of emote spamming, poor behavior is fairly on par with every other match up I have been in. You may not do it, and good for you, but players from every server do. Don’t kid yourself and think your server is special and honorable, no server is. Emote spammer = trash player, and every server out there has them. Trolls tend to be bored and feel that this is a good way to amuse themselves, I don’t condone it, but you can’t control the entirety of a server population. Best thing you can do is get past it and move on.

Commanders, regardless of class, are a target to any organized group for obvious reasons, and any decent 4 man should be able to drop one with a target assist regardless of what class he/she plays. It’s an expected hazard of choosing to tag up.

An interesting take on what a commander should be. You do realize built/played correctly that most classes can be just as solid/tanky as a guardian or warrior, right? I have also seen both the before mentioned classes melt under focus fire just as fast as a thief. Although an interesting perspective as to what class a commander “should” be. Heck, a heavily bunkered necro is a far tankier choice than either guardian or warrior due to a huge base health pool and DS. You also need to take into account commanding style into whichever class you choose for commanding. Any player, regardless of the class they play, can be effective as a commander. Coming to the forums declaring that only 2 classes should command is absurd and uneducated.

Reasonably high armor and one of the best condition removal sets in the game.

But like I said, uneducated about different classes.

I have a Necro I am aware of the fact that they have high and a second health bar of 15k hp. We have a commander that is a Necro and does well. I’m not saying Necro is a terrible class to command with or that it’s impossible to do so in a Necro. What I’m saying is there is no better bunker than a bunker Guard or Warrior and no other class has the survailability of those two.

If you have a necro then how come you are not aware that you have access to 3 separate sources of stability? You do have access to protection in multiple forms, and you can build high armor without an issue. You also have ready multiple condition removals fears and blinds. I am not attacking the one line, just pointing out you are wrong. I don’t expect you to come to terms with it, after all, you don’t even belong on this thread, however the point stands, you are wrong. The rest of the quote is summed up entirely in that one line. And the fact is you can build as tanky as any other class if you have any clue as to what you are doing. You proved beyond a shadow of a doubt you don’t, I just pointed it out.

We don’t have the numbers. That’s been fairly obvious this week. Hell, you spawn camp us with outnumbering forces. As you’ll know by seeing a crazy human engineer General with the [KAOS] tag, I’ll gladly run into a zerg to stomp someone even if I die in the process (Elixir S ftw, I generally get the stomp off). However, our WvW core is <20 people, and the rest don’t have the stamina for a protracted or outnumbered match. I’m sorry you’re not getting the fights you want, but this is due to the stomping our militia has gotten all week. They just don’t show up anymore.

That’s not true. Yesterday at roughly 7pm server, 10pm eastern, you had at least 45 or so in EBG and couldnt counter a group of 27. Thanks for the full bags though, I guess. But seriously, how could you guys even lose? Someone isn’t doing their job, especially if some of you are from a so-called “better” server. I’ve yet to see us outplayed every single time, which is what I expect from “better” than us, I mean, losing must be a pre-req. right? When we go 10 v 30, we lose, so that must be your definition of better… numbers.

When you have a heavily populated server recruiting in a match up thread, it’s going to get hostile. Did you expect that it was going to receive a warm response? If people wanted to pay to transfer it would be to a decent server, and until they make transfers to low tier servers free, SF just isn’t the server that most of the GW2 population would choose(nor AR or Kain for that matter). I would stop posting it repeatedly in this match up thread. No one here wants to go to SF to become 300% more Bronze.

I feel like you have misread what ive said or maybe I lacked clarity. I am not representing myself as a person on this video game forum. When i said “i represent me on these forums” i mean i represent my forum account and thats it.

Im not sure what the “we dont troll” part of your post is supposed to mean, seeing as you have had people from your server actively trolling since the first page of this thread. Im not sure if that was directed at me or was supposed to be some kind of general statement so ill leave that up to your to clarify.

Anyone who has played MMOs/video games and come to the forums should be experienced and intelligent enough to realize the people posting do not represent the game. That also applies to GW2 and these matchup threads. Most are similar to ours and next week that will still be the case. If person has made it this far into the forums and is naive enough to think that a poster or two represents a whole population of people playing this video game then thats on them. Im sure thats not the only problems in their life they need to deal with.

Last and not least i expect you to be replying to people from your server from now and telling them how bad they are making making AR look, otherwise you would seem a little biased dont you think?

Yeah I mean AR was rank 23 or 24 beating a server much higher ranked than them is pretty good I hope they and GoM keep it up.

It’s funny, we keep telling you guys that we have less numbers than both servers. Just because we’re ranked 16 does not actually mean we have those numbers or anything remotely close to it. Our population is 1/4 of what is was 2 weeks ago so the fact that we even hold anything during NA prime is a miracle. On our best night we’ll field maybe 30-40 people total so we’re content with how we’re doing in our match-ups considering what we have. We may not win anything against your numbers, but we’ll always come out and fight.

Fairly sure you have about the same active WvW pop that AR does, possibly more. Most servers really have no idea as to the actual active population they are fielding. I tend to be on quite a bit, and 30-40 regularly would be welcome numbers.

I have to agree. AR has been the most challenging fights I have been in so far. Hats off to them for that Ogrewatch defense yesterday. The BLs have been rather slow but I think that is because of the coverage of STaR and others. Seems every time I pop into a BL that isnt ours I see Sir Shield capping the last keep that isn’t ours.

Keep up the good work SF, upcoming matchups will test us with servers that have better coverage.

Please note, I am not knocking Kain or AR at all, I think you guys are doing well with what you have. We just have more numbers.

We did an 11 hour run the day before at OW, and figured we would try for longer, and stayed for 16+ hours. Yes, when we do a dig in at a tower, you will for sure know it’s going to be a fun siege in order to flip it. Had to suicide on so many trebs on that hold. Have to admire then relentless tenacity from a few of those attempts on Ogrewatch. We’ll have to do a different tower next time, I need a change of scenery.

I think it means your server focuses more on your own borderland than EB and on the other 2 borderlands the least (which makes sense to me).

AR plays quite a bit, according to statistics. I mean our Bay has been flipped over 117 times and our hills has been flipped over 128 times since reset. Closest Borderland keep has been flipped 30 times. Speldan has been flipped 594 times since reset, almost 100 times more than any blue or green camp in Eternal. So yes, I would say AR must be playing.

I remember NSP being the one that brought the fight no matter the odds. Thick or thin, there was a certain fellowship and culture that really impressed me about NSP. Its one thing to sit out the match or maybe have a pve holiday. But to deliberately sabotage supply or other guilds made siege?

I understand loyalty to ones server and guild, but when a representative from Os, Bird Song, shows up in Anvil Rock Lion’s Arch and tells Anvil Rock players that they may want to attack NSP because they may be out of supply for defense, you may want to consider who you are backing. One of your guildies, who is also a commander, clearly knew that this was going on. This is the same commander that sent /w to many AR commanders when Kain was on the rise asking us to help them drop in rating so they wouldn’t have to face a very stacked Kaineng at that time.
I have no issues with NSP as a whole, but this particular guy is cancerous to your community, and apparently has some ability to sway members of your guild/community.

Now throwing my opinion into it because I like hearing my own voice. I wouldn’t have tanked. People like playing to win, no matter what’s going on. If you’re letting them down on purpose, that kinda makes people angry. But it’s not like Os just took the week off, they’re actively sabotaging others which makes people super angry. I honestly feel like it’s shootin the server in the foot, which is a shame. I get Northern Shiverpeaks can make a case why they don’t belong in silver league but someone has to go in silver league and I’d guess better them than Kaineng.

Gate of Madness won 13 out of 14 matches in a row at some point and that stirred up more drama than I think losing 13 out of 14 matches might have, heh.

Honestly I think that a major WvW guild actively doing what it can to ensure they wont have difficult competition for the next two months speaks volumes about that guild, not the server of course. But thank you for showing not only your server but the GW2 community at large your true colors. By the way, do you guys use yellow in your guild emblem? You may want to consider it…

Who was this Nsp commander ?? I don’t know about the rest of Nsp , but our guild has been pushing the peddle to the meddle on the pvdoor scene. Sure there are some defenders. But we easily crush them. So it might as well be full pvdoor.

You want to look at tanking.. look at kain.. that’s TANKING.

one more thing. If you play that stupid game of staying away from Nsp to help push us up a tier. Then Nsp might truly go pve for the week , since both of the servers we are facing are pretty much dead already. I asked an honest question, there was no need to insult me in the manner that you did.

The question was part curiosity and part serious, I asked it because you seem to always be on here and complaining about how you died or how big a zerg was, forgive me for I seem to not be allowed to ask a question without getting insulted.

With all the changes to WvW and the WvW league starting next week there has been a huge increase in WvW activity. Most people who are just trying out WvW for the first time tend to stick with a zerg to learn WvW.

On another topic transferring to a T1 server is a horrible move. You see the size of ET zergs now that PvE’ers are trying out WvW just imagine T1… you will be in a queue for hours once WvW league starts. The zones are also going to be laggy and unplayable. I think the bottom tiers with a large increase of PvE’ers trying out WvW will have the best experience.

Honestly I appreciate the non trolly answer, although I know some people who post on the forums cannot help themselves, most likely due to something impacting them from the real world(i.e. basement is too cold, mom didn’t bring meatloaf in a timely manner).
The reason I asked was we can “feel” you guys in the area before you get there when these kinds of numbers present themselves. More power to you for getting people into WvW, just wondering because it we experience that level of FPS drop when you arrive, do you have it during the duration of the run?
