Honestly, I’m at the point that I’ve started to refuse party invites from enemies after a fight. I’ve never had a conversation that’s worth havin that way yet.

I don’t know. I always try to be polite, give pointers if they are warranted, and try to be as respectful as possible to the opposing servers. I have actually had far fewer negative encounters with players than positive ones.

I guess I just don’t like talkin about fights, heh. I kinda feel like the fight speaks for itself enough already. I don’t do many 1v1 though.

Yeah, I try and mix things up. I do a little roaming(much less than I used to) a little group objective stuff, and a little commanding, but I won’t be commanding until Sunday because I got to work or I can’t pay the bills.

Looks like things are leveling out on AR early this week too, which is good, we usually don’t level out until late Sunday. This should be a good week for all three servers.

AR has some of the worst reset nights. I am actually surprised at how well we have done on this one(especially considering the nearly half drop of WvW population in the last few weeks). I can’t think of many times we have not left the first night in a deficit. There are some fairly unusual player schedules on AR, and not a lot of players letting up. This should prove to be a fairly interesting week.

Although Anvil Rock is in third place, I am extremely proud to still be a part of this server. Players that remain have shown extraordinary resilience in the face of adversity. People have started to step up and fill roles that were left void by guild transfers and I have seen very little in the way of overall negativity in the chat. All good signs that the server will recover. Reset night set us back quite a bit, but I think after the roll off we make a pretty decent match for HoD. DH, you guys just have too much player base for us to be competitive right now, maybe in the future we can bring you guys more of a fight.

No idea what people in this thread are getting on about. Been having a great time considering current events on AR. Hats off to both opposing servers, if anything I had fun in WvW for the first time in a long time.

That AR keep fight in Eternal, epic all the way around. Awesome fun to all three servers thank you(I really needed a mindless 3 way fight). Oh and yes, we just DPSed the door down, not my fault though, they seemed to want to do it that way.

Good luck commanding we tried to get new bloods in [SE] to stop attacking you last night not sure if they got you at one point. Also to the AR ranger I think by the north tower around 11 pm pst that dropped the ac and I grabbed I got some good laughs out of it I would be more than happy to give it back to you tried to look for you after we capped the tower as I am a new commander(dont think he was) I know whakittens like to do stupid things in the middle of a battle just shoot me a pm in game and we and meet up.

What map was it on? I was out in Eternal last night, but we had a few newer tags going so I didn’t tag up. Don’t think we had a Ranger tagged there(although at 1 point there were 3 tags up, don’t have a clue as to why with less than 15 on a map). You recall the tag? I know a few of our current Commanders.

As I am sure the people in this thread are aware, Anvil Rock is going through an adjustment period. This being the first week after what I hope is the last of the guild fallout. Overall, I have to admit, I have seen a lot of our players getting hit by the strain this has caused, but I honestly see the light at the end of the tunnel. People on AR are not happy with the state of their WvW, and for the first time in a long time I am seeing more communication than per the norm. People are stepping up and doing what they can. AR will gain it’s footing again as more individuals and guilds start stepping up. So don’t count us out just yet, we will be back, and stronger than before.

Aside from that, been having some great fights(when I am not stopping mid travel trying to clarify what exactly is happening). Right now, because of a lack of community approved voice, I’m spending far too much time typing, and far too little time assaulting in game. So if you see a zerg sitting there, doing nothing, it’s most likely a Commander trying to explain some of the basics to some fairly new troops about strategic point caps. I have been told that the zerg does not need to know the why behind the commanders decisions, and frankly not only do I disagree, but not letting our fellow players know what we were doing or why is what put AR in the situation it is currently in. I won’t sit by and help create that same culture again. No denying AR is months behind most of the other servers in WvW, so we are taking a crash course. Hopefully we can regain our footing and give you guys a solid go in the near future.

I have to thank all the AR players that have been out the last few days. I haven’t been a full time commander in a long time, and the militia makes it a very forgiving process to get back into. So to all of the players who have followed me, a big thank you. And remember it’s not “Oh no, Outmanned”, it’s “A target rich environment without repairs”. AR players have been really great overall during the transition, I look forward to seeing how much better we can become as a team.

The bugs keeping yaks from spawning for DG and QL in Eternal is killing me. P.S. HoD you can take Dane all you want, it’s never gonna feed SM supply.

Please excuse this. This is the exact opposite of what most of us think. We really wish AR the best, despite the trolling we got when officially announcing our departure. On the other hand, since our transfer http://mos.millenium.org/na shows AR taking a massive evolution point hit, which is truly what it needed. I hope you all are placed in the proper rank and continue to fight hard and outnumbered as always. On another note, since transferring a lot of the tension within the guild has diminished. We are now free to have “fun” once again.

Well aware, and why I emphasized the potential edit. Sorry I wasn’t around to see you folks off. On the flip side, after being away for a week, I am going to be tagging up full time now. AR has so much potential and I would hate to see it go to waste.

Personally I wouldn’t hold ALS as a guild responsible for an individual members post, but he may want to retract that, it’s things like his post that make a decent group of people who I enjoyed playing with sit under a very bad light.
Now for the bad news … the transfer of ALS to Dragonbrand has no impact on the success of the server. I would equate it to a mailroom clerk moving from a local business and taking a job in the mailroom of a Fortune 500 company. Sure, you may help get the letters to the CEO’s faster, but the company was going to make a profit whether you went there or not.

Side note edit Anvil Rock currently has an opening in the mailroom and is now hiring. Internal transfers within the company are preferred. No experience necessary, on the job training is available.

Maybe. DH does have a lot of players, though. I spent about my entire WvW day dueling a few guys from DH, was fun. Looking forward to seeing what roaming will be like once the reset day zergs settle down.

The fact is AR has needed to move down for a long time. As far as the servers in the lower tiers, most have taken huge hits on players, moved down, and had an opportunity to restructure. AR needs to do the same to get it’s WvW on track. I am looking forward to hopefully staying in lower ranks awhile. The players in AR WvW never lacked heart. I don’t think they do now. AR needs this time to regroup and rebuild, this is healthy for the server and it’s WvWer’s. It may not always be pleasant, and there will always be people who will express their dislike for the situation, but it makes rebounding that much more satisfying in the end.

That happened to a few AR before reset, I was commanding and told them to exit the keep until the second door was down. Not going to take an objective because the game is bugged, although I have to admit, it’s quite a surprise getting pulled into the inner. I leave for a week and all these fun new bugs appear.

What chest thumping? It was more like trolling. SBI needs to learn to WvW and not zerg Eternal with 100 people.

I dunno, I waited until they were up north and then AR recapped that corner with a fairly small group in a fairly shot time(<3 superior rams). I rather enjoy that they have few small groups.

(Side note, taking the keep while it’s paper is tactically a sound decision, I just like story time.)

Realistically, if you go looking for people to solo you’re going to run into a lot of thieves, and a lot of kittenheads by extension. That said, the worst attitudes I’ve seen this matchup have come from small groups of AR. (But also the best – it depends on the guild.)

If the messages I sent to this guy trying to explain why he couldn’t kill me are a “whine” some people have an odd definition. If anything the person raging is the one sending the /w to me. How exactly? That is what I am curious about most. That is the chat window from the screenshot that I edited the names out of, what else exactly would be in the screen? Since you are suspect, enlighten me, and I will see what I shed some light on for you. If I switched chat tabs to get the conversation without any additional map chatter, that’s all you are going to see. Please, please tell me what the heck else would be in the screen. (And they aren’t excuses, that’s the chat box from the game, I edited it to take the names out. I saved it over the original file in .jpg format, and I am not exactly sure why I should have saved the screen, I get a lot of QQ while in WvW, I don’t need to keep a compendium.) He can’t kill me alone, but luckily he runs into several of his server mates. Happens, that’s WvW. And the extent of what I said was what you see in the chat window because he seemed to think that evades were somehow glitches or hacks, and anyone who plays this game knows there are skills that evade if they are used correctly. The whisper you see is the first message I sent after he invited me, claimed I was glitching and broke group.

So I neither messaged this guy first, or said anything aside from what you see there.

Just because he is bad at a game doesn’t mean that everyone else is cheating. Maybe if he spent a little time in the mists and learned a few classes he wouldn’t be so bad at his class and at least give some of us a little challenge.

I did run into a warrior later who was extremely well mannered and respectful from SBI, nothing but respect for that guy. The thing is, there are some decent mannered players I have come across from SBI, they just seem fewer and further between.

If your server is upset/angry because of it’s performance, it is hardly the other two servers faults in the match up. What you need to understand in general is that I could care less if any server has players that act like children and go emote happy, or rage, just don’t come on here and say that other servers do it and then be the server that does it more than ANY server we have faced in the past. (I’m referring to the post about /laugh /sit made by an SBI player earlier in this thread.) In reality, I’m all for 5-10 people sitting around and emoting their backsides off at a solo player, because while they are doing that, they are losing everything around them, so them wasting time actually hurts their team.

Other than that, what would the full picture show you aside from some sweet graphics and the same chat box? Not only does it seem sad, you’ll never get a good msg back from the person you’re crying to.

Actually he invited me into a group. I never decline invites, then continued to talk in whispers until he blocked me. And the extent of what I said was what you see in the chat window because he seemed to think that evades were somehow glitches or hacks, and anyone who plays this game knows there are skills that evade if they are used correctly. The whisper you see is the first message I sent after he invited me, claimed I was glitching and broke group.

So I neither messaged this guy first, or said anything aside from what you see there.

Just because he is bad at a game doesn’t mean that everyone else is cheating. Maybe if he spent a little time in the mists and learned a few classes he wouldn’t be so bad at his class and at least give some of us a little challenge.

Man, the more I play folks from SBI the more I realize how angry and sad they are. Thief jumps me while fighting 6 krait, so I disengage the krait, because that just makes sense. He can’t kill me alone, but luckily he runs into several of his server mates. Happens, that’s WvW. Then I get this … Sorry that a thief couldn’t just insta gib me, really, sorry it took a 3 on one to finally get me down. But before you get all uppity, learn what a build can do, and don’t qq to me in a whisper then block me because you are inept at your class, and don’t understand mine.

Not to mention you have a lot of skilled players, always nice fight with AR. And on top of that, you keep it civil. Not once I have been /laugh or sit on by AR (happens quite a lot with some servers).

Honest question: I want our server to be better @ WvW, so besides being bad sport, what else did we mess up?
Rating says SBI should win while our score says the opposite, must be something we did very wrong. What did you saw from AR/ BP perspective?
Is it we die too fast? Not organized enough? Lousy defense?

I wish you(both AR&BP) can share and in the end we all have a better game. Thanks.

The one thing I notice more than anything from SBI is the lack of upgrade strategy and lack of cap timing. Not all SBI, but a large portion. You guys are decent on the field, but unfortunately in WvW it’s a PPT game. Capping under the 4 minute mark and doing the very basic upgrades on your camps/towers makes a world of difference. It’s rare I come across a supply camp held by green where there was the first 5/10 silver upgrade dropped. I can solo a basic camp quite easily, and relatively quickly, and before the PPT rolls over as well. If the general attitude is “it’s just going to flip anyway” then, well, it’s going to flip. I know when I’m on I do everything I can to make capping a point painful, because most groups are just going to move on to softer/easier targets. That’s really the main thing I see from SBI, from an outside perspective.

Why are you trying to instigated flaming on this thread? You just said it yourself, every server has their bad apples. If you wake up the SBI forum warriors, they’d come up with these very examples you accuse them of against you.

I guess I wouldn’t have noticed it if it wasn’t a commander. These are supposed to be the people that teach WvW, and this is exactly what a server doesn’t want. Hardly trying to instigate flaming, reality is the only server that I have seen doing it IS SBI, aside from that, a generally respectful match.

On a side note I feel special, I have never been veil/portal bombed as a solo player before by a 10+, way to go BP! You kids tickle me. I am assuming that it was practice though.

3pm server time, bring your A game. IoJ windmill at the south camp. Respect your opponents..no spikes no uneven matches(unless requested). Party up with the enemy, learn a few things or teach some folks something new. This is Fight Club, look forward to seeing players from all 3 sides there. (Feel free to let your individual servers know the when and where.)

Well, looks like a good match up. I picked a heck of a week for tPvP. May have to drop in and mess around in there. Would like to set up a FC at the end of the week, considering the new match up randomness. If anyone is interested, let me know and we can set something up for Thursday or Friday, depending on peoples schedules. Always enjoy having a go at different builds/classes and learning something new.

No, I’m serious, most AR I run into have, like, no Toughness or something. I don’t get it.

No clue, both my ranger and warrior are over 3k armor. I rarely see a hit above 4k.

Wasn’t meant to be a boast mate it was more to share the lols. If any one of them were competent I would have been dead quick smart. Btw, I was downed twice but I also had them downed and rallied off killing them, haha.

Got ya! Yeah those fights are always fun, especially on a bunkery build. The downed system makes it a tough win though.
