How does it make a zerg split up? When it takes LESS people to defend than it does to attack how do you really think smaller groups will be able to cap anything? I mean really…

Send 100 people to one door or send 25 to 4 different breakable locations. Or split forces to hit several different locations. Set a diversion up with 25 while the rest hit another keep. Use tactical approaches and break out of the zerg mindset.

Just wanted to say fun impromptu fight club in AR BL yesterday. Nice testing out some changes that were made. Fun fights with Faux before that too(crazy regen on that build, miss a poison and you’re toast). Great little 2v1 vs a BP and EBay who were partied up. After almost 18 hours in AR BL I wasn’t sure what buttons were what, playing on auto pilot, but tough to leave when there are fun fights to be had.

We reset your fully upgraded bay with seven people. The others didn’t bandwagon in until they saw green on the map. One single defender on burning oil or an arrow cart would have stopped us without breaking a sweat. Come on, you can defend better than that.

Especially the new and ridiculous arrow cart. One guy with a well placed cart can halt a breakout event if they spec into it.

I was the only one in the AR borderlands from Ehmry at the time, and we owned nothing, the commander followed me and showed up to fight, at least that’s what I thought. I agree not to let yourself get distracted by a roamer if you are a commander solid advice there, but if there is no one else on the BL, your side owns everything, and you wait at the supply camp for me to re-spawn (like he did multiple times, /laugh on my corpse) then you are obviously not commanding anything.

I’d say the real question is, why would you let yourself be put in a situation where you had very little chance of survival? You weren’t going to take the camp, and you went in knowing that the camp had fully upgraded guards. Great job SOS guys! Use that home field advantage.

Seriously though, when I roam, I do what I can to wait away from towers and guards. Why fight 10 NPC’s when you can avoid it? Sounds like you are a little upset they were smart enough to take the easy kill.

I fought you on the camp outskirts to the east. Not bad, but that build is irritating.

I am seriously unhappy with BP. Made me turn on my commander tag, and I hate doing that, to retake the north half of our BL. Let me roam, where I am happiest. @Kalkz having BP zerg constantly in our BL and capping behind EBay is exactly what your forum trolls were complaining about, but oddly you aren’t hearing any complaints from AR. Heck, most of us enjoy a challenge. I know that is an uncommon thing on BP, you would prefer to fight wooden doors when nobody is home.
As far as a mesmer in a keep, who cares, sweep better AR people. I have corpse sat for an eternity to keep a mesmer from being rezzed. Sat in a keep waiting to see where mesmers hide too. It’s a part of the game dynamic, instead of freaking out about it, learn what is going on.
I could sit on here and complain that BP is EBay’s lap dog, and say they can’t do this without help from EBay, but that would make me no better than a BP forum warrior, and I just won’t sink to that level. So well played all, keep up the good fight.

To the BP mesmer at ARBL Godslore I just fought, little asura, not a bad try at stopping me. Fun little fight.

Man I hate how crazy zergy reset night is. Had a few fun fights with EBay D/D eles in ARBL. One was disrupted by a thief, but meh, it’s reset night.

What do you think that resolution support at 7680×1440 on AMD Eyefinity and nVidia Surround is? Right, that’s single monitor resolution. If it just “stretched” the image then the exp bar would go completely across the 3 screens. You can’t be serious(can you?). The game also supports 3D, but that’s moon man technology.
As far as BP attacking AR at reset, yeah, you do that every reset, congrats on using the same strategy for another week. I’ll bring the bread so you can make toast.

im not sure how to explain this without being mean so here goes.

GW2 doesn’t support multi-monitors, the only thing you are doing is spreading the image across multiple monitors.

if i have 50 monitors it would not tell the game “Hey change my Camera Range cause I have more than 1 screen” your hardware is just taking the info and spreading it out across the other monitors.

Funny, the Gameplay programmers seemed to think it did, all the way back in September…

Why so many monitors? Why not just one BIG one? We despise television here, so I just use our 40" LCD TV as my monitor.

I do note that in one aspect this can be problematic, because while the chat box size is adjustable, the text size in GW2 only is to a certain point. Which in the case of my ginormous set-up, is a bit too small. Lot’sa squinting.

We don’t have cable anymore because we watch videos we rent, or freeTV online. My wife is trying to talk me into a very large monitor for this. That big of a screen doesn’t give you headaches while playing?

Depends on how close you are. Played on a 60" and it’s pretty epic. I prefer 23’s though, tends to be a crisper image. Wanted to try it on the 3D set, too lazy to move everything over though.

The sad part isn’t that it happens on your server, its that your server doesn’t care and you seem quite happy it has happened. Also you have yet to show a screen shot from the proper position and I have yet to see anyone show me that 2 or 3 monitors will give an opportunity for someone to hit that spot without looking over the wall.

We report people who do these things.

I’m not worried about the reputation of AR, it’s just fine. I have more than shown you that hitting those spots possible without hacking or SAB camera glitch.

AR is not “teaming up” with EBay or BP. Clearly you buy into the propaganda your server mates have been spewing out. My guild was in EBay BL all night running havoc, not BP’s section of Eternal, not BPBL. Sure I killed a few BP, but they shouldn’t attack me if they don’t want to die. Why a large percentage of BP forum posters are so painfully negative is beyond me, but it hurts the overall image of your server. If you want to worry about a servers image, be concerned with your own.

Play to have fun, if you aren’t having fun, do something else.

I would love to keep going on this, but there really isn’t a point. You can choose to feel that there is some hack going on here, or not. I wasn’t in this fight, but I also know you don’t require any type of hack to hit these spots. I’m sorry if you didn’t know that this is entirely possible, but I am not going to be giving any more tips on siege without some sort of payment.

Whenever I see something I think may be a little off, I like to go and test it and see if it’s possible first before I run off screaming HACKS! 2 seconds of research goes a long long way.

look Closely please….the AC isn’t near the Gate, and look at where it is hitting, I am very adept at siege placement, you cannot in anyway get that angle. just look, i’ve been doing the gate AC trick forever.

Stand where that arrow cart is in hills and tell me you cant put your cursor there. I just went into hills and checked. That is exactly where you would hit in that location.

@Kalkz The screen shot posted is clearly tampered with. That’s EBay BL and I see some cleverly Photoshopped in blue structures. As we all know thanks to test pig, AR doesn’t go there.
I do like the recommendation from them that AR hit an area that will help secure BP getting a wider lead on AR. Those are brilliant tactics if we are trying to get a BP win.

Played In ARBL today, was fun, a bit less zergy than Eternal for the most part. Got very zerg heavy later. Killed a few people, had lots of people chase me in Bay, which was really funny. Unfortunately some EBay players hate physical fitness and stopped my swimming of laps. For shame!

Well if anything, trolling aside I hope that players on all sides recognize that each server has it’s pros and cons. I think the militia(PuGs) from AR have shown the fighting spirit the server has. We have seen some really good guild groups over the course of the matches, as well as some that need to grow. I’m really proud of how AR has evolved since it’s days in tier 7 and it progressively has improved over time. I look forward to more great battles over the course of the next weeks. My guild has just started to get more interest in WvW and I’m enjoying teaching them the basics(when to hold/withdraw, how and why we fall back etc.). EBay and BP are a good learning experience for them. Hopefully I can get a few more regulars in a shake things up a bit, or at least get you guys some badges. Who knows we may take a few too.

I don’t think a 1 second stun/daze on an offhand would be anything but beneficial to build diversity to the ranger class. Big fan of being able to drop an interrupt before a heal or channel, and the current set up with dual wield is a bit clunky, forcing a weapon swap or perfect(and I do mean looking into the future perfect) pet timing. A short stun/daze would provide a lot more fluidity to dual weild builds.

Most rangers think that they are Robin Hood too, prancing around in tights wearing a feathered cap and plinking away on a little bow. I like dropping them as much as a thief does.

I like when a thief tries to kill me on my ranger. Most of them are bad glass builds and I enjoy watching them run for the hills after my pet crits on one for 90% of their health. Very very few thieves can kill a ranger spec’ed right. Please target me first.

Fun fights tonight in Eternal, Ebay Eternal players, you don’t need to come at me with so many people. Wait, no, you do. Still having fun trying to stay in one piece when I have 15-20 Ebays trying to kill me.

Oh I got it figured out now BP. You hit our BL right at reset and we are just supposed to sit back and let you have it. Right, we shouldn’t retaliate and let you guys have free points all match while AR drops rank so you guys can feel like you are a better server than you are.

The reason you aren’t going to see a week where AR and BP team up on EBay is the same reason you haven’t up until now. All you need to do is watch AR’s BL in the first few minutes off reset. BP cannot seem to help themselves and races to ARBL like a fat man to a buffet while AR’s major guilds go for EBBL and pugs hit eternal. I can guarantee that you’ll see it again next reset as well. If you are unaware you, as a server do this, feel free to watch the map next reset. AR and BP don’t work together because BP cannot control themselves.

Oh I get it now, mighty Borlis Pass forum warriors, if AR and EB are hitting you guys, then AR is picking up scraps, but if BP is on one half and EB is on the other half of a map, then it’s EB picking up the scraps. I didn’t realize that it was Borlis Pass that was the strongest server in the match up.
On a side note, the absolutely acidic nature of your WvW community on BP is why you fell apart in higher tiers, glad to see that your server learned almost nothing(although GOAT has calmed down quite a bit, props to you guys). Try to enjoy the fights that you get, and cry a little less. Understand that you are not a higher powers gift to the WvW scene, and that we are all in tier 5.

I am amazed that there are BP players on here that don’t realize that EBay is dictating the score, maybe not intentionally, but that’s what is happening. Yes BP gained a 10K lead on AR yesterday, but do you think it may have something to do with the ARBL being half red and half green all day yesterday? I thought it was Christmas for a while. And if Ebay had decided to do that to BPBL, then you would see the opposite. I really can’t believe that there are some BP players that don’t get that.

@Faux Sheaux Im pretty sure that if you have less than they do and you wipe them it’s still not on fair grounds(favoring them). A technicality sure, but still wouldn’t make the statement untrue.

Funny BP players actually believe that AR had an EBay guild take bay. Then again, they celebrate a 2 v 1 fight. It’s common knowledge though 2 BP = 1 AR. So enjoy a win on an even fight kids.

I have to thank EBay for concentrating on AR, god this thread was so full of tears before that. At least now we can talk about the fights.

@Aeros that tower was retaken by PuGs, and by the looks of that screen shot they finally had even numbers. AR PuGs are no joke, even though they frustrate the heck out of me sometimes.

Wait a second, BP commander wants to drop down a tier? Why would you not want your server to do the best it possibly can? Reality is I doubt this is the sentiment of the majority of BP players. I don’t believe that EBay would do poorly in T4 because the landscape of WvW is constantly changing. I also don’t think you are aware of the amount of build up in WvW DH has had recently. They would do just fine in T5. But, glad you have it all figured out.

Actually the last thread got reported because the title was changed as well as the initial posting, which publicly named player(s) and guild(s). That is unfortunately against the forum ToS.

I have been running a bleed ranger for a very long time. I think they are a lot more effective than people give them credit for. With SB/S/D fire trap, you can consistently stack bleed burn and poison. Running pets that compliment the build by adding alternate conditions helps, but the conditions they apply don’t have the bite the ranger conditions have(130 PPT bleeds stacking to 20 melt opponents pretty fast), I run raven for blind and wolf for the fear more than the KD, mostly because it simplifies positioning with SB. The nice thing about bleed rangers is the constant application of the conditions without relying on a trap being hit(theoretically you could switch dagger for torch, but dagger poison lasts a painfully long time).

I honestly think it’s more of an Eternal thing. I see it on all 3 sides.

The fact is I need the practice on my necro. Getting used to GTing is a pain when I ditched the trap build forever ago on my ranger. So the more fights I get, the better I can get on a new character, and tweak the build.

Can’t hang in T4 and too many numbers for T5. My guild moved to T6/BP from T4/CD for more skirmish fighting. While in T4, I remember you talking a lot smack about zergs and how other servers had crap skill players compared to EBay. Course now they are all still T4 or higher and Ebay is in T5… hmmm. Maybe you should have put more effort in to stay in T4 if you wanted a bigger challenge.

in T4 when it was mag/YB they would actually come out and play, yes they do zerg (all servers have some sort of zerg) while in this tier unless they have tons of seige or numbers no one will come out of their tower/keep to fight.

Same for EBay in Eternal, tired of chasing 3 guys all the way back to SM because they see one solo guy and they got hit(oh no!). My poor necro isn’t that fast, and its hard to catch you guys when you run for the nearest safe structure.
