Whats with guild groups much bigger than us Waypointing out to their spawn several times after a few wipes to us earlier in the same evening?

A good smush all round last night, lost one we shouldn’t have but kudos to the enemy, and lost another to mass numbers. No complaints was a solid evening, my only complaint is both MS and DL seem to disappear for several hours in the late evening. Makes it time consuming to look for the action.

Relentless defending of your bay in the evening Drakkars – I counted what 60 people with enough siege for 1/3 of you Was quite painful lol. Managed to take out all the inner siege (except the 8+ acs etc in the lord room!) – appreciate millers for taking that after we went looking for a more mobile fight Opened up the map and had quite a few good scraps.

Who is this asura mesmer stealing my thunder – I’ll pass the message on. Last night I was on my asura ranger throwing myself at the germans, couldn’t find many 1s or 2s by themselves, always sent 5 or more after me. Which by itself is understandable to an extent.

What isn’t is the lack of class from the majority of both MS and DL zerglings. Several times tonight had a blob of 20 upto 60! Chase one guy (detoured and chased me for 30+s) so none of this was enroute to defend or attack something.. didn’t like my colour scheme? :P

The worst is when a guild group of 12 + pugs go out of there way in the middle of nowhere, no other enemies around and chase 1 solitary guy for 1minute. I’m looking at you RHG from DL – come find me sunday evening please

Last night for lols a member took the guys out – not an official raid, nor our warband setup. People who wanted to small scale skirmish gladly went along on whatever class they wanted, alt night for most. I think we topped 13-14 ppl, averaged around 11 for the majority of the night. Being led by a d/d ele was “interesting” when it consisted of mostly roaming builds and classes, lacked a “punch” that warband play brings. Good fun was had, although about that fight NW of garri – I lived through it all to come back and see the germans effectively force you back inside… What got me though was 40+ angry germans chasing 2 TUP engineers one of which being me! for a good minute – kudos for your determination if not your skill :P

It was a change and a laugh, cheers for the fights.

Really dogkitten by opponents since patch, where are you during primetime ?? people ceased playing or what. Spent ages looking for fights, picked up slightly but wth with primetime.

@gagi just 3 acs and one ballista was up for the that, my guys were outnumbered at the time, substantially.

What gets me is when there are servers that have 60-80+ in a tower, being attacked by 20-25 and still resort to a kitten tonne of acs and refuse to fight in person. We all know who they are

Worst I ever witnessed was 38 superior arrow carts on the walls of Hills. I kid you not. That was before the buff – I’d hate to see that these days…

I was promised no blobs /shakes fist. No but seriously, we all know reset is a time of smashing faces. Good turnout by most servers.

To MS who we fought tooth and nail for most of the earlier part of the evening, shame your big groups left – had a few more hours in us the insane action at the start got us right in the mood. Win and Lose was good smush. Kudos I couldnt pick out particular guilds amongst your number, but your a more organised blob than our previous opponents. Was a good challenge.

To (I believe it was FSV) in Lake Tower on AG BL with your ACs and Ballis. Kudos for being alone and valiantly defending your tower. I didn’t know what was going on in the East section of the map, had hands full of germans in the west – needless to say in coming to pick up supply camp, seeing you there with the wall nicely open. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get reacquainted. You made it a good fight, only regret is you left the zone shortly after

Why oh why didn’t they just implement the Winner goes up, Loser goes Down.

You get the variety, it won’t be stale like now. Extremely simple to implement.

It means their is more intense fighting towards the end of the week as 2nd and 3rd or 1st and 2nd (depending on score) battle it out to avoid the drop etc.

What is so hard that they cant see a simple promotion/relegation system week in week out is the best option.

Don’t get me started on their xfer prices based on server pve population :P Piken square (back when i was on there) was medium and ALWAYS queues in primetime for WvW. Still I believe they class as medium and still insane queues. Yet other servers that class as very high have no queues. GJ ANET – gemstore vampires.

If you take the rose-tinted goggles off for just a second. You will see those “trolls” slandering this Tier and calling it boring and lack of fight (YET they dont fight themselves!).

Even though I never personally used alot of the words – the words you used are very close to how I feel about alot of the action from my opponents this week

Running as a 80+ Blob (and yes many times I’ve witnessed that size) leads to all the things you used, skill-less = how many abilities can you possibly use as an individual when encountering foes 25% your size. Dumb – complete waste of manpower, you might defend or take what your attacking, but elsewhere on the map you lose things. Mindless zombies – where is the initiative, the groups thinking for themselves, the groups wanting to PVP in a PVP environment.

If you believe it is meaningless fights and playing 24/7 for POINTS IN A VIDEO GAME, has a) more meaning and b) more fun… KUDOS to people who think that way – they are by far the bigger men.

Would love an explanation of where the “fun” is, where the laughs and the joy comes from.

Appreciate the action DW, good stuff even if i did miss the 1 fight. We were led tonight by Quecc on his new 80 Guardian (he occassionally leads us in the past, always on thief) he did a good job and you guys brought it – shame more guilds, more players don’t find a WvW guild and run as 15-25 more often. Its a great challenge.

Looking forward to coming across you in the coming weeks (we typically aren’t out as a raid on thursdays) so see you on the battlefield sometime soon.

Certain fellows from the rebel servers have been notably quiet these last few days. I am just curious as to where Viking and Duke are? Did they get a chance to see how glorious their way (now mine) of playing is? Did they find enjoyment from the best video to date?

@TWduke. Im sorry but strategy and tactics buhahahaha. While the AM zerg and RS zerg battled over Bay for ages. My 20 man group, took hills, took 4 camps and your 2 northern towers and managed to make you waste supply in garrison.

So GJ on the strategy of of losing practically everything in zone due to blobbing up in bay – which btw you lost (to that uber strategy).

You can say all you like about high intenstity, adrenaline fueled, fast paced, live and die moments fighting the masses, outnumbered 3 or 4 to 1 as Boring… While also saying, the placement of ACs and trebs and counter trebs as exciting and thrilling – you do your thing we’ll do ours. We are obviously playing different games.

Btw can you make a video, just like TUP does. But can you show me the exciting playstyle of strategy. The thrilling nature of placement of siege. The live and die moments… Instead of a typical TUP “boring” video of action and teamwork.

I eagerly await your “exciting” video…

@Reztek we @ TUP run with 15-25 depending on day, just take last night as the most recent example. Outmanned buff on RS BL the entire primetime, 7pm till midnight and beyond (i called it just b4 midnight so cant confirm beyond that). 5 hours of my guild plus between 5 and 15 friendlies on the entire map. Up against the 80+ man blob of Abba (hope you enjoyed us smashing you while you tried to hit SE RS garri) and RS of 60+ in a blob most of the night.

One thing that irks me, is zergs, the really big ones, the 80+ that abba constantly stick to each other like glue, Waypointing out back to spawn (more than once) before a fight with 1/4 their number. Dissappointing to say the least. In general though you roam alot more than the RS bunch.

Shame 60 guys had to ninja bay as they failed to take it with 20 defenders heh. Smooth moves with your golem pilots, waypointing out as soon as they see 1 of our tag. Your zerg wasn’t as fortunate

Some good action to be had, although for the early part of prime time the blob v blob, german on german action = you made the whole zone lag ya bastids, wipe each other quicker please sheesh.

Highlight 14 guys saying “f it!” and having some of the 80, hell we got kills, lasted ages and over half of us swam away to try to save our keep.

Great time I had leading the chaps on reset till about 22:30 BST – alas I required to get a chinese takeaway, much to the disappointment of the guys

Had some super sized enemy forces to deal with on AM BL and was great fun, apart from a certain guild, I don’t need to name you – you know who you are, running from us, back to your lil North West Tower when you outnumbered us 2-1, was hoping for a clash. Credit though when you outnumbered the 9 of us around midnight with your mass by about 4x – you plucked up the courage to fight.

I couldn’t make my mind up with zerg to bust and smash, so I hope RS and AM felt equally loved last night. Really good challenge. A friendly note to enemy guild groups, fight more, learn more, have fun – a few run run run and half die before they you finally are forced to engage.

@ RS guild [IF] appreciate you needed the 7 ac’s in lake tower, when it was just you guys, but when you then had 60-80 sat in that tower – was really hoping for a fight. But we had a AM zerg to bust at bay – didn’t want to kittenfoot around at that tower too long so did a “ballsdeep” alas was painful but quick so we could wipe them at bay – so thanks in a way :P

To my own server, wish their was more “pug/friendly/infantry” commanders, varied between 5-15 green names following us – makes fights ahella lot harder

@Viking. If you guys in AM can feel like winners and being bored in Tier4, after being smushed unlikely style on the battlefield – I commend your spirit. Personally I know I couldn’t feel sooooo goood about my servers superior 24/7 coverage aka points, if all week I’d been on the receiving end of a good smush.

As for you all know how to fight against double or triple your number…. You certainly don’t know how to fight against half or a third of your number thats for sure.

Do your talking on the battlefield son. No one here apart from your fellow countrymens server gives a toot about “hey guys i got a bigger score than you”.

Wheres your guild tag in sig anyways Viking. I can’t say I can remember a single Tag from AM – like a bag of assorted chocolates never know what you’ll find in the next blob.

Retreating and Tactical withdrawal is different. Pulling away to find suitable terrain in order to deal with your numbers is necessary, as fearless and nuts my guys are, it’s pointless to throw ourselves in the open against that blob. So ye alot of maneuvring is needed.

If you watch the video – 90% of the night you had 80+ Whether it be for a tower or a keep. Or occassionally a supply camp. The fact it was an alliance blob, not a pug zerg makes it worse as you had control over what people were doing.

@Dangerdoom: When a guild group is 40+ (there are a few on each server that have that kinda numbers) some of the 10-20 man guilds will ofc combine and flank to smash in. As believe it or not a 40+ guild group should not lose to 20

In that SS, Yak were fighting WAR (from AR) and I wanted a peice of it so stormed over the bridge to make it a 3way. We had allies attracted by the big battle markers and followed behind, NR hit from the otherside (from behind WAR) and made it one giant ball of bodies.

All in All some titanic clashes, some long fights, some wins some defeats. The first 2hrs 7pm uk time till 9pm was a lagfest (sorry to hear Dius numbers left due to lag, almost had a few leave ourselves), the giant fight on the beach near Redlake coulda been fun, kitten lag.

Cheers WAR, Yak and others for the action. Great working with NR as usual. Shout out to the french zerg later on in the night around the NW of garrison and the NW camp. Kudos for your balls of steel

Enjoyed the smush tonight boyos. Good fun to be had on first Gand BL and later RS BL.

In relation to why we only had 1 tower at that point. We had multiple towers infact all of them at some stages, but the gandara mass and the barauch manblob would avoid something defended and go PvDoor, sad fact but alas true.

Had many decent fights and many holy fudge batman thats alot of ppl. Like the Gandara mass coming out of/alongside Hills. So many, was good – could of been better. I got myself and a few guardians owned by getting blindsided by a 2nd group – even though I knew they were around couldn’t see them!

Bay was utterly boring, so many BB inside and soooo many ACs only so much one can do, before you get bored kittenless and try to treb clear it – patience not my forte! So as I logged 2hrs ago, bay with holes and low supplies, still BB – persistant defending i’ll give you that.

Opportunistic Gandara though – for shame While pressuring bay, 30-50 wanted to come see rather than ninja garrison – end result a bloody mess <3

Can we call them (the zergs the blobs) – manblobs now? It’s so fitting, just as ugly and nasty a sight as manbo*bs!

Cya on the battlefield folks – thanks for the goodfights were good in parts, shame so many avoid / PvDoor though.

Well on BB map sunday evening within 1hr of being there in primetime, all 3 tier 3 keeps of BB’s had flipped. 2 to us and 1 to gandara. It was a good use of force, while NR + others attacking South Bay, we took NW tower and then got to inner garrison before NR’s dozen joined us for the take. BB were stretched by spreading out. Then later when Kiss i believe it was took hills off gandara and had the BB blob in the outer, we got them to keep em occupied and we took garrison again.

I get your point, know full well how it is on every server tbh its the same. Pugs will be pugs and will follow commanders. Sometimes its not needed and a waste of manpower – sametime though not everyone is Riverside. Not everyone finds sitting in towers/scouting “fun” and at the end of the day its about fun (for most :P).

Had a blast on your BL this reset, just luck I guess that 2nd time in a row (different BL this time) we ended up on same one as you guys. You “almost” played differently to last week 2 “seperate” forces instead of 1. Epic defences of Bay were had. Until at last due to time – a few logged – and bay was lost. Cheers to NR for the support in zone.

Rushed with our 6-8 remaining guys to AG BL where Nuke, DSD, CS (yes they were they DSD saw 5-10 of em <3) were engaged with Kiss + others in Garrison Lord Room. Managed to res the lord once and enjoy fighting on the edges of a huge fight. Dissappointed to see the spanish leave map entirely barring maybe 10-20 “randoms” afterwards.

Anyone notice how it was rather ability lag free in garrison – typically in that kinda fight there is always lag. Was impressed tonight.

Guilds are all at an junction now. Take it like men, wipe a few times more a night than normal but savour smashing down 4x 5x your number when it goes oh so smooth. Getting tighter, getting more organised OR do as several have done and mass recruit. Ask yourselves are you men or mice. If pugs keep following you, ditch them its simple to do.

Hope there are still self respecting guilds still out there by the end of the week, let alone month.

To all the zerglings out there, when you do wipe, you realise you give the guilds more WXP in one wipe than you get from an entire zone or 2. Try joining a WvW guild, you might actually enjoy the game. Unless ofc mindlessly following the 60-100 guys infront of you, barely having time to hit 1 or 2 of the 20 enemies in the way is “fun” for you.

WvW should be for PvPers kick them PvDers out

The system is a joke for PVP’rs. They hope on their karma trains, bash on empty towers, take 60+ guys to take camps, 60+ guys to stand on each and every veteran point for that all important WXP – what a joke. Hide amongst your blob, you wont be safe forever. Pansies.

Nothing but grinders, not a single PVP bone in their bodies. Even with max rank WXP what then – you still won’t be able to kill anyone. Guilds of the game, regardless of server unite, abandon the pug zerg mentality, grow a set… Pugs by themselves will be meat for any self respecting guild. Ditch the hangers on… Waypoint back to spawn, turn your commander tags off, run as your guilds… Lest we (the guilds) are as guilty as the pugs at leading the game down a crap path.

Note to zergs: Bring it on.

BB and Gand wouldn’t move anywhere on GDBL tonight without the zombie train following. Sporadic good fights to be had, getting stuck in the middle of both and giving both sides hell. Nuke man, twice atleast tonight you wouldnt engage us with even numbers, first in the NW you waited for the other spanish horde to “sneak” behind us – not very effectively I might add Hate to see bigger numbers or even similiar numbers just turn tail and run. Then again between Bay and Garrison with the BB blob and GD blob going at it, still you wouldn’t come solo, sadpanda. I hope you don’t relegate yourself to the level of the blobbers, your better than that.

Ah Nukey Nuke. Went to AG BL, was hoping to find you. I made the miscalculation of not checking which side of our BL b4 reset BB would be. (Gandara notorious for being weak on reset) so wanted to fight the side that would bring the most. Anyways seeing as no Gandara turned up left Bay to help with Hills albeit too late. Long night ensued, arguments about blobs aside… RED recruited me thinks, atleast 40-50 of one tag alone. But in all seriousness the single biggest blob i’ve ever seen on one place :P repeatedly lol.

Took some defeats on the chin (only ran 22-3 TUP which gradually lessened through the night), but getting some wipes on that spanish armada was satisfying. Especially the valiant defence of Bay repeatedly and Hills later on.

We are coming for you zerglings, no mercy.

Ye i got. Its a 40s CD (same as the number 3 on ballista) Number 4 ability. You dont need a target, you get a 45* “target” that you aim in any direction you desire. It shoots out 5-6 Ballista shots across the 45 degree angle. No idea if it pierces though.
