Loving the patch. Fought the blobs and zergs from day 1. Knew the size of them but could never prove it as only 25-30 would “cull” on screen at any given time. Now its even better for me personally. Can see you all. No more running into 30+ invis’o’fools and losing my HP to the invis’o’zergs.

No hiding now, and it makes no difference to our enemies as TUP has never run over 30. Was only 16 yesterday evening of us.

Yak’BUS I hope you enjoyed the stern defence of your Hills. Alas only 3 TUP got to enjoy the crazy action in outer hills. Althou i’m sure the unity and kiss guys were glad to keep ya out repeatedly. The big sexy white Norn leader, props for trying to get your guys to kill my treb.

On an innocent wander to help out my bro kill a dolly and 3 guys, we stumbled upon 5? Golems and their escort. Really wanted you to bring them to hills – sadpanda.

Looking forward to much more action in the week ahead, fingers crossed AG beat FSP.

DsD certainly are on your server – unless their is a 2nd DsD. Fought them last night on AG BL. Along with Nuke, Lex and others.

It was like, kitten how many people you got on zone – all great fun. But aye never seen DsD tags before last night.

Reminds me of the time months back now, one of the last times we fought AR, we setup a banquet at a hole in their own BL, we owned and defended garrison quite well. I told the guys drink a few times from the keg, cause if you dodge, you fall over drunk – would make the fights more interesting…. Cue several guys actually drinking from it too much stacking it – leading to a 100% miss chance on every attack for the duration. Needless to say much fun ensued

What a evening last night was. I joined half way through primetime but a good couple of hours of some heavy duty action. It’s what its all about, enjoying the game, relatively lag free (barring one or 2 fights when there was soooooo many in an area). Really enjoyed it last night on AG BL. Hope RS and later BB had as much fun.

Shout out to the friends that helped take care of business for the evening. Again to the foes that make it fun, kudos all involved.

PS: If RSC is back in full-swing, you plan on hitting hills hard on next reset (if you dont get promoted) on the zone you spawn in the SE? Fingers crossed its AG, cause thats some yummy action promised right there. I miss the days when TUP had to defend hills against your entire zone

Piken always had (numbers wise) the smallest night crew in existance. Size isn’t everything – Not a single server from T8-T2 had a smaller presence through the ranks than dear piken. I should know I was okittenlly oclock alot..

Wasn’t until sIN had a presence to assist the few TUP & loyal asskickers that it had a decent sized presence, still numbers wise lower than the T4+ crowds.

Seems like the whining and kittening have calmed down, so how goes the WAR in T3?

Assuming this definition is the truth, guilds like TUP, FURY, UNTY (and all that crowds) are exactly what professional players like me and my guildies would classify as a typical zerg.

Every single night TUP is against superior numbers, just ask the german horde that laid siege to bay for hours. We get stuck in and we have a whale of a time. We don’t complain, we thrive on the challenge, although turning a supply camp into fort knox not cool more ACs and Ballis than at your towers </3

Then the spanish armada attacking hills again! We had a dirty dozen, 15 tops and luckily FURY were around also to help deal with the bombardment of NUKE & the others.

Get off ya little high horse little troll. A guild group is organised and uses strategy to defeat superior numbers aka zergs.

I hope RS bring back their reset nights of old – the last reset was shoddy and non-existant was a shame, as we always like the good fights on reset! Here’s to hoping for more…

Been awhile since I posted. Cheers to BB guilds, DF, Lex, Nuke, many many others that continually assaulted both Bay and Hills, lots of fights to be had in AG BL tonight. Was really good fun.

I will ask – what the hell is that Yak fella doing on our server. At first I thought it was innocent, then he starts following the various commanders around, and wherever he goes – yak tries ambushing. Had several complaints from fellow commanders about his suspicious behaviour. Dubious to say the least.

I have had a PM from one of your members about this already and will ask the [YaK] leaders to investigate.

Thought you were classier than to start pointing fingers on the official forums Dranul, although it was late when you posted and I wouldn’t like it happen to us if the roles were switched. (Would posting on the Gandara server forums which you frequent not be more suitable and less flame bait? A PM?)

We have a very large guild (250) spread over several servers so there is a possibility this is an honest mistake. We have had a blast learning from the best over the last 2 days and I honestly don’t see what we would have to gain from knowing your movements. Our scouts need to improve a lot, many of our wipes were from poor communication ( e.g “TUP are coming up the stairs! Get ready!”….. “Which stairs? North? South?”….. WIPE) so if this were true we are just hindering our own progress. We want to be the best we can be.

If there were any foul play going on then yes absolutely we want to stomp that out. I apologise if it takes away from the pretty decent encounters we had. If 1% of the guild are making the other 99% look bad then they will get an absolute beat down. (I mean come on, which serious spy would leave their guild tag up and not expect to get caught?)

So yes less airing dirty laundry in public please, send me / Gandara forum a name or screenies. Reputation means a lot in these online community games and mud slinging just makes everyone involved smell of dirt.

Personally not pointing fingers, I even rezzed the guy twice last night, a few times earlier in the week too. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, that perhaps he’s just looking for map completion and due to the objectives being mostly green at some point or another was easier for him here. I stand by that, until proven otherwise, naive – maybe, but i’d like to think (as you said – no one is that stupid to leave tags on) that he’s innocent.

True, bad form of me to use here instead of your forum. My apologies – was late and alot of people had thought the worst of the situation and it needed highlighting. Figured was better me doing it, than some troll post, flaming spy this and spy that.

I just recommend in future, that if you have members, looking for world completion, to remove the tags, is all.

As for scouts – lol, made me chuckle. We’ve had a few new recruits over the past weeks/months and to hear “INCOMING!” without a number, or direction or info on guild(s) or zerg. In a less than calm tone, puts you on edge, only to find 2 enemies approaching the rear hehe.

Dangerdoom he is talking about the “DEFENCE” of Garrison at silly oclock. Not our assault, which btw took ages and was well defended.

The defence of your garrison, wam mentions, was much later, TUPs 6 guys were all that was left in zone. We held out and held out as wam posts, bringing in sIN to wipe the force inside. Was good fun.

To be fair, the assault was great communication from the guilds in zone. It was all you had left – so obviously you had your main focus there. We took it in turns to bust down several different doors as much as we could.

The assault was long and hard fought. But as that was all that was left in zone, the guild forces concentrated on it.

Too many good fights tbh, earlier in the night, I was sloppy and wiped when we shouldnt of, regardless of being outnumbered. I got my groove back and the guys had alot of fun and kills the rest of the night. The epic fighting in Hills when Yak tried to join in a 3 way, was really nice fights there for quite awhile.

Nice fights to the AR and Gand in Gandara BL tonight. Hoping for more before the week is out.

We’ve had campfires inside garrison, roasting marshmellows, inside a hole in the wall at garrison. Gandara were invited last week, but they wouldn’t come through the hole in the wall We even had fireworks!

As to the fishing trip with the french, was Fort Ranik rather than AR but close enough.

@Soggyfrog – Im fairly certain hes talking about Longview in “YOUR” own BL last night. I logged by 4-5am a few nutters carried on after that.

@Caid – Different approach (regarding reset), neither is stronger or weaker as the entire week is what the score is based on. Piken adopt a strong reset due to having needed too – not so much that, but the fact that 9/10 times against most servers (yours dissappointed me personally – in the sense that its a main WvW night, against other servers we fight hordes of 50-100 guys, so it was a bit of a downer, craved action ya see). But usually every server we’ve come across has had much more than us and hit us hard. First time ever a queue on more than one map for reset, was shocking lol. We are used to having to move across all four maps to assist (something I actually liked and miss). So everyone was “up” for a fight, was one of my most boring nights of WvW resets.

On behalf of TUP I hope to have many more fights this week, as its what we love. Tiers don’t matter to me personally and thus my guild – we simply seek out battles. We do our fairshare for the realm ofc for points, end of the day though its about fun. We seek glorious combat win or lose.

If I could extend on behalf of piken the olive branch.

Put the trolls out of work, let bygones be bygones. Focus on the fun, don’t be too concerned with scores and baiting each other. Lets just have some epic battles, something to enjoy on our respective comms with our comrades.

For a start – the word zerg is forbidden on piken In prime time, we have alot of Guild Warbands or (hate the word) – “raids”. If you wanted to know more about your own server, you should be aware of our own piken community forums. As for better rewards stuff?? Every single wvw guild cares about the action only, not about karma.

As for 5man strike squads, yes for camps etc, but then again if you asked around more on your server you’d know we have weekly meetings and so forth. Community forums, community TS. Everyone from the soloer to the 5man guilds to the 15-30+ guilds all have roles to fill.

Had some enjoyable fights this evening, althou I joined late. Saying that I tend to enjoy peaceful saturdays myself – made an exception

Althou bouncing from hills to bay and vice versa, heck all over the shop in Piken BL was frustrating, fun none the less but if gandara and AR could space out attacks a lil, time for a coffee and such – or to catch a breath :P

Trying to get raidless friendlies to follow the “pug” commander (thanks for trying to help have them go with you btw) to stop following us, as they were a hinderance rather than a help when it came to fighting RG. In the end had to drop the tag and tried out more even numbers against them, was good fun.

I do apologise to the 2 new recruits (their 1st day) into throwing them into easily the baptism of fire, intense, organised opponents they are likely to face. Atleast they got to enjoy hours of zerg busting beforehand.

Looking forward to getting as much practice in this week as possible.

Funny posts already, although I have to disagree with the outmanned comment. Aside from prime time, all of last week and on reset – had outmanned buff for several hours during the night across multiple zones. Its not a complaint, just a statement of fact. We actually thrive on it.

Kindly quit the we’re better than you – cause our score is better posts. Quite a chuckle. Thats like saying we have the best international rugby team, cause this one time at bandcamp we played new zealand when they had 1 player against our full team and ye we totally won.

No but seriously, its quite refreshing to have some tight fights against old friends.

As for Gandara tonight had a blast going to EB on reset (never go there by choice) prefer borderlands. Painted the town red had some nice fights.

Then the action we’ve been crying out for, been gagging for, and tbh been missing alot. GvG action. Has to be said easily the best action i’ve had against another guild. Win lose or draw? wait… no draws… Win or Lose was some epic fights in EB. Hoping for a weeks worth of the same.

Some nice fights last night – I always like when we can learn something from the opponents and we can learn a lot about group organization from The Unlikely Plan and VII. Too bad our zerglings kept falling for the same false retreat tactics over and over again – it is frustrating to see a trap being set and 30 people just rushing in it even though you are yelling at them not to do that…

No worries, we saw you where on inner. But with just 7 of us defending. Not much could be done about it. Nice little night zerg with TUP, VII and Tainted. Have fun with the french! And a nice portal for briar, but you hardly needed that against our numbers.

Next time come find us earlier! So we can have some decent fights!

If that was our (TUPs) attack on briars, cata’d wall down then portaled up. It wasn’t a “zerg” of tup vii and tainted – I wont speak for them, but personally I hate “zerging” and “blobbing up”. Coming to and/or asking for assist an assault or defence when outnumbered is different.

Had plenty of french out the front of your briars hence the need to portal up and put you in the middle rather than make the basic error of walk in and have french on our backs. (Assuming ofc we are talking about the same instance – if not noworries).

Had fun tonight. Lots of fights inside garrison and around the place against a sea of red, really enjoyed it. Whipping the lads into shape

Gandaran borders last night was fun. We got a bit carried away around 11pm, and you took Bay from right under us.

Props to whoever decided to attack NW outer door at some point during the evening instead of trying to come through the hole in the wall, as that would have turned out very messy for you. A good job we spotted the attack relatively early =)

This was the work of the lovely Malicious Mischief[MM] Guild, with no more then 7 people. It also came as a surprise for us(the rest of the people on GBL) they didn’t tell, otherwise you guys probably would have repelled us. Too bad you guys took it back mercilessly a few moments after. gg

5-10 more seconds and we would of been in inner to stop the cap. Alas it wasn’t to be. We couldn’t be everywhere at once, to top it off we had been under seige for hours and hours against a kitten tonne of a sea of red, not to mention the occassional AR mass trying to peek into the hole in the wall. Epic action all night. Kudos though on the ninja, was alot of mayhem going on so alas we didnt have time for bio breaks, kitten breaks, drinks or even to sell for hours. Best type of fun though.

A word to the solo catapaulter from gandara against hills last night- against stone walls… we do apologise for coming over and stealing your fine work – you must of been their ages. But thanks for working it down, i told the guys to leave you alone and let u finish off that 1% but alas friendlies didnt listen.

What a nights action. Hours and hours and hours of fun. Keeping gandara occupied was fuuuuuuun.

Racked up alot of action. A few of us nutters are still on right now. Painting the town black and all that jazz. Decided I dislike breakouts

I achieved what I wanted though and took over into 2nd place. Hard fought night.

All i care about is fun, fun can be defined as making a server send 80+ poor souls to come deal with a simple guild raid. Fun can be defined as watching 60+ run with their tails between their legs all the way from brairs to inside of bay.

I want more fun

Its about the action, the fights, trying to learn from opponents. I personally am enjoying both these servers, have a good healthy amount for our boys to enjoy.

Hax, exploits and unsportsmanlike behaviour is alas a fact of gaming life. It happens, it annoys us all. Every server has these fools, not too much complaining will do about it. So rather than moan and groan this time of year. Lets stick to talking about how we enjoyed smushing each other into the dirt

Happy new year to all my friends, guildies, allied monkeys and serverlings from Piken, even to our opponents @ AR and Gandara.

• Have a glass of wine on me val just avoid the ceiling “foot stomping” – have a good one val boyo.

Not one to accuse without solid proof of exploiting, but a few hours into reset this week that [CHOC] guild had 2 members standing around in outer bay, hanging, roleplaying looking for a cat near the supply depot. We were stunned as we ran through bay to proceed north, so we slaughtered them, ate the cat and moved on. Note: outer bay had no holes and hadnt for several hours.

Each server has dubious characters to say the least, its a crying shame that people feel the need to resort to cheating in any form.. They taste much sweeter when they die too.

Lets get passed this piken formed an alliance with AR nonsense shall we – reality was it was 3-4 commanders on each server for half a day deciding not to attack things owned by each other. No way shape or form does that reflect a servers decision. PS: we all do it subconsciously anyways – in that, we focus 2nd if in 1st to keep them close to 3rd so its more appealing for 3rd to focus 2nd etc etc.

Lets make this week a bit more civil shall we. We’ve enjoyed many civil weeks up until we came across elona (bigger servers more chance of kitten) whose attitude stank. You should read the german forums, always bad mouthing the other servers. So many closed threads.

Unfair matchup? No. The pikeys knew T3 was as high as it gets, yourselves and those above you are just huge populated servers. We dont have the coverage to compete on a score basis. Do we complain no, most of us were quite aware of our own tier limits, the freeloaders that joined due to success are the only ones who dont understand population logistics.

@suprNovae, you must not of come across the many guild warbands on Piken, coz 25 v 60 zerglings is an everyday occurance and simple – organised > disorganised rabble everytime. Althou i’ve never had 25 online hit 22-24 a couple of times <3

Wanna start by saying between 19:30 thru till 4am (uk time) epic fights across all the maps. From defending Lake Tower in Kodash BL against hordes of both germans, no walls, no gate, even a few breakout events from elona to contend with. It was really fun.

Dissappointed the huge amount of kodash didnt come back to try again though – which led to a benny hill style “zerg hunt” (we look for you! – dont change maps kitten ) We must of chased a zerg or 2 across 6 different maps. Very nice fights at our own beloved Garrison a few hours ago.

Been some really good fights once again. Need to work on my cardio though, in JS BL a few hours ago, constantly running to defend NW then NE and back again.

I notice a new tactic by the late night JS crew, about 40 of you decide to up and leave zone completely when you encounter around about a dozen defenders. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

On behalf of The Unlikely Plan [TUP] I want to say that we are looking forward to the rest of the week, already had some fun with ya JS and AR – hoping for much much more in the week ahead. Talking about the weekend event will just give this post a negative tone. Just hoping for more of you to be out in primetime.

Having just seen off AR from our beloved Piken BL, with the handful of brave souls at our disposal. (Dont be taking my upgrades while im sleeping! <3)

What a load of crock. Prime time was perfect before these dirty rats joined. Now if anything its going to make us weaker. Guilds not being able to get their compliment into lands… Filled by these scrubs instead. Already witnessed a huge increase in queue time.

I simply dont get the abandon ship attitude, especially a middle bracket server, AND to a server that simply doesnt need or want you, there are servers much much higher looking for and asking for guilds to cover xyz times.

You may not of noticed but we’ve never lost in primetime, due to the work and commitment of our many small-med sized guilds operating in that time. Moronic to switch to a server where by you make queues…

Hurry up and get your 7day xfer over with and leave you dirty rats! We dont want your prime time disrupting kitten here.

It was actually a 30k lead by the time the Vabbi Russians joined us. They indeed secured the victory, but we were well on our way to it before they arrived.

As for guilds jumping ship. You lose once you move? Pathetic.

We all love our server due to the limited queues. The fact that there maybe half a dozen organised guilds working together in zone to achieve victory. Unlike certain servers who like to put 40, 60 hell even 100 ppl at one spot. Waste of resources you ask me.

As for Gamblit…. what guild are you running in? Cause seriously taking out twice your number is bread and butter, hell even 3x 4x is simple. Its when 14 guys take out 80 thats the big tomato.

Just ask RG about fighting our own server – I heard they got smushed by TNTD – Much love.

Firstly I’ll say “unless one side has more numbers, in which case they win by default” is bollox. Every single day between 5-20 of my guild wipe 3-4 times our number. The “zerg” is a bunch of skill less monkeyballs. Nothing more satisfying than 9 guys wiping 40-50.

Keep zerging, we’ll enjoy the easy and ever-so-nicely clumped together (for protection?) fools.

Gunnars got second cause abba didn’t want it bad enough. Alot of us TUP watched from the sidelines, and calculated with an hour to go just what gunnars had to do, to pull it out of the bag. Personally I was relaxing with guildies awaiting server reset. Was so nice to see it go down to the very last tick though

I have no favourites, don’t care one penny who comes 2nd or 3rd. My guys hit Gunnars hard last night after assisting driving out both realms with our comrades from PS BL. Then once they had given up, took what we could in Abba, namely their Garrison

Had many many good fights already against incredible numbers. Once we saw neigh on 100 of *cough server come and engage in one spot just 14!.

I hope some of the Gunnar’s guild would jump to Piken by the end of the next week. It would be good to have more WvW guilds on our side, once we move to T5.

No offense to them I hope they don’t, the reason many guilds are on Piken is because is a quiet server and a established community.

GH’s guilds join Piken, it gets stronger, small ques form, it skips up a teir or two,, Guild looking for T3-4 server to bandwagon onto to boost to show how pro they are turning a T3 or 4 server to a top one then jump on,,, then everyone jumps on, trolls, kitteners and idiots included!!!

I prefer it stays as it is as a T6-8 server, if people want a T1-2 server just transfer there direct rather than trash a really nice server

Second that ^^. We have a great vibe on our server. What we don’t need is people jumping on the feelgood factor and cause queues. Our community hit T8, due to simple fact we were a medium server with a lack of coverage. Did we complain, did we moan, no. We stuck at it and we banded together and gave everyone since then a complete effort all round.

I dont appreciate all the, lets go here/there comments, make your own server work, it takes commitment. I personally don’t care if we get T1/2, I could easymode like plenty of others and just switch, but whats the point? “Yes! Eat it! First biatches!” and all associated kitten nonsense. Then what? Did you earn it? Did you slog constantly outmanned, but never outgunned?

For me personally, and I know for my guildies too, its about the action and the fun. Queues would put people off and I’d like to keep PS the way it is! /Rant off

Other than that, cheers for the action this week.

Actually the russians have had no impact on the night shift- I should know cause i’ve been part of it. They are on in the morning. During the nights its been mostly TUP+others in one BL holding off superior numbers of Gunnars and then “out lasting” them and taking things back, just ask reaping While we + friends hold the gunnars blob in a zone for aslong as we can, our good friends in EB have free reign. We had slowly built up over a 30k lead before we had additional “day shift”.

On behalf of TUP may i just thank all opponents mostly gunnars this evening past, a few abba too. For the numerous fights where we, althou completely outmanned never out gunned. Your spirit is strong, i’ll give you that. Stubborn as mules too! Cheers for the never ending (felt like) action tonight.

Greetings from Guild Leader of The Unlikely Plan (TUP). Can easily say it’s been a treat this week, stalling the “late” night blobs of gunnars has been entertaining. Although only so much stalling one can do with a handful of unlikely misfits. Not to mention ofc the enjoyable fights during primetime against both servers. Special mention goes to Kill Frenzy, and to Val in particular… Apologies for not letting you take the East keep in Piken monday night, not so sorry for eventually kicking your server mates completely out of the keep though, now that was fun

TUP like i’m sure its the same with our many allies, old and new, continue to look forward to the rest of an enjoyable week. Maybe fornight if we are lucky :P

Portal gives 10 guys a fighting chance against the zerg. The zerg are generally idiots and crap gamers. Hugging each other for protection, a guild portal team will destroy them (no rendering problems) due to the fact they are a mindless zerg who keep attacking the door, even though there is just 5-10 attackers behind them – cause guess what, they dont pay attention! Portals allow for some counters to the unskilled mass that run around together. Against guild groups and organised warbands a portal is a inconvience at best, like a poster above said, just aoe/cc the portal and what comes through dies.

Aslong as the skill less, spine less zerg sticks together, there will be portals and plenty of kills.
