Is it possible to purchase gems with a Visa Electron?

Just wanna say cheers for the action yesterday and Sunday evening. First raiding back for me in a wee while and it was top dollar. Forgot how much I missed the smush.

On another note sad to see no matchup threads in the future, kinda ridiculous by ANET. Dividing, splitting up the WvW community. These threads while occasionally populated by trolls, is a way to engage with other servers. Do they even have a plan b?

Want to thank all that gave my boys in (TUP) a great time throughout the season. While I didn’t have the time to partake much more than a day or so here and there with the seasons, feedback from the guys was overall good.

If you overlook the queues caused by achievement point grabbers (non wvw’rs) and the occasional dead week, for the most part the influx of guilds across most silver league servers made for some really good action.

May the second season in 2014 be even better! May I also find the time to get stuck in! I’ve missed smashing heads and taking names

As to stealthing Necro – aside from runes. It could of been mistaken for a teleporting Necro. There is an ability or 2, one much less obvious and can be pre planned for a 1200ft (or more but that’s the obvious one). Dissappearing off your screen, then noticing him several seconds later further away, does not necessarily mean stealth. Teleport is king. Apologies for putting forward a sensible argument, I do enjoy reading the above and co’s answers, long may they continue.

@Rock: While in theory the idea behind stopping the afkers at spawn, is good in principle. The idea of away from objectives for 5mins = kick is terrible

A lot of guilds roam and fight zergs/each other 90% of their time. Of which fights happen anywhere. Had random clashes with 1 guild then another, then a zerg, etc etc… away from objectives lasting various lengths – to kick a guild or even roamers for fighting around the map (away) from objectives would be a terrible idea.

Don’t feed the trolls. The PPT trolls taking credit for “coverage = skill” quoted from Damon Carter.

Silver league is actually one of the best if not the best. Nearly all guilds worth mentioning and fighting have migrated to servers within this league. Makes prime time most weeks amazing. Turn the next corner and bham fighting another strong guild.

We all have different opinions of “good league” “poor league” there are only really 2 “poor” servers in this league. UW lost their spirit and some guilds – I remember the first time we fought them amazing pug and small guild stuff. Deso who are for the most part like JadeSea, lots of numbers very little skill. Note I say “most part”, your bad zergs and players are more prominent cause you have more of them.

Take a page out of abbadons book, while most of their zergs are bad, when they get organised they bring some of the biggest ugliest meanest blobs around. A real challenge to lock horns with.

Let us go back to how the first few pages were shall we. People need to understand the concept that is “WvW” fight what’s in front of you and Fudge caring about the PPT end of the week score. We all have lives, don’t let the game suck it dry. A server wins or loses by its 24 hour coverage. Not by what happens when every server has a queue like at reset or primetime. So don’t moan about a crap server finishing first due to coverage and don’t brag about a bad league – points win prizes. Play at primetime and see how well you do, you’ll see its not a bad league after all.

All guilds in silver league shall read a deso pug saying how bad silver league is and think, really? They don’t complain though as the 100s of lootbags at the end of the week makes up for losing to coverage.

WvW isn’t competitive, 9 out of 10 servers realised it and play for the action, the fun, the fights. A few are still deluded into thinking hitting empty keeps at 5am is skill.

End of the day people play when they can, timezones, work patterns. It needs to be 24/7 all gaming time needs to be equal, it’s when people like dyno and co harp on about a “poor” league, really irks me.

TL:DR – I love silver league and love the variety of guilds spread across it. Dislike scrubadubs bad mouthing silver league.

Most WvW guilds EU are located in the silver league. Not too many at all in “more competitive league”. As you said you’re new and not up to speed on such matters

Quite funny to see something like that after UW have been attacked by a high amount of AG blobs most of last night.

Sounds like something Shino would say. Regardless, what one individual who it may or may not be, it’s not the community as a whole asking anything. Our guilds would be outraged at only having half the people to kill

Aside from the “friendlies” and their AP hunting, I’d like to think that 90% of AG are playing for the fights and fun, only a few servers exist for PPT, the likes of SFR, Piken, Deso, ABBA, Riverside, Elona, Vizu, JS. So it’s just simply a clash of style, you find finishing first fun, we find killing 1000s of enemy a day fun.

We kicked the deso karma train right off your map on reset, be happy was a really good reset, queues/dcs aside for some members, hope our foes enjoyed the fights.

Good to be back leading this evening. While due to the state of the game (queues/lag) a lot of guilds have seen decreased activity – I mean who can blame them, who wants to sit in a queue for hours, only to dc after a few fights and be in queue again.

So ran 15 TUP for the first few hours, peaking at 20-1, was a fun evening. Thanks for the fights UW and Deso on UW BL.

While that is fine for an individual to queue for 5-120+mins depending on what BL. It is not so cool for Guilds, it’s early doors ATM and things may settle down. ANET made a massive mistake putting in AP/living story into WvW.

A) Their servers can’t handle it.
B) Their queue system is massively flawed.
C) The population cap per map isn’t anywhere near high enough to deal with a servers population in all but the dead servers at the bottom.

I still find it funny and sad that the pvp element of WvW is being siphoned out. Kill 10 players, you have 49 days to kill a total of 10 days – GG ANET. Way to encourage actual fighting there! Take 100 camps, kill 500 guards, PVD to victory! Anyone notice a theme?

While its savvy business sense and a great move for them on a quick buck scheme. They are trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the true pvp communities on servers, offering as bait – come join our beta for a overflow map. So you don’t get too kitten ed with our poor decisions thus far and leave game due to no longer being able to play as guilds, due to PVE players in their 100s and 1000s taking up valuable slots.

Oh and the 12 months too late “community feedback” thread, all done to distract and divert attention from the real issues. Poor implementation. How long has the community been freely giving opinions and advice, mostly bad, some great, all fallen on deaf ears, even to the point of being shunned, topics moved or deleted as an example.

Well played ANET you are doing what is right for you, quite subtle and smooth.

The true WvW players in guilds, who play for action, fast paced combat, testing themselves out against others, not to sit on Arrowcarts and Trebs all night won’t stay for long if they can’t play as guilds.

Remove achievement points from WvW, especially for karma training. If you want some in WvW make it for killing players, and not for sitting on siege.

Disappointed but not surprised by the fallout of adding live events to WvW. A trained chimp could see this outcome. Queues all day, starting at 9am, waffles.

@hihey FSP weaknesses are no different than the ones of any other server in the league. But, thing is, FSP will most likely have all 4 zones FULL during prime time on EVERY DAY, a feat which only Abaddon and MAYBE Desolation currently have. I have never seen more than 2 zones in queue on GH, even in prime time.
Also, if Kale and PunK keep working together as a single unit (even if they do not stack all the times) like you did in our previous matchup, no guild from any SilverLeague server will be able to hold it unless they blob up with another group of people – thing that many guilds refuse to do, as when “normal” guilds see nearly 50-60 people fighting together they will usually pick another route after being wiped.
So yes, FSP is way stronger than GH at the moment. I’d say they will be fighting for the 3rd place.

As to the few guys from Gandara, aye the 3 week period with you around xmas last year back on old piken, immense fun :P AG now is pretty much similar to old piken. I mean you have TUP, HoB, Vii plus ofcourse the great guilds “more” native to AG.

Due to coverage I don’t see anyone stopping Deso and AM for the top spots. It would require double teaming. Seeing deso tick countless times for 600+ against Gandara last week was “fun” to say the least.

Position, score, rank, matters not – as long as the fights are good.

So deso finally woke up? Finally stop pretending you are a silver league server?

I hope the true bros of Silver league make a good showing against both Abbadon and Desolation. The double teaming and potential drama and backstabbing a season will bring is interesting.

GH guilds now can really test their individuality at fighting masses. I personally had a blast against Viz, just enjoy it. So much action to be had if you like that kinda thing.

Envious of your match up. Led more days and longer raids against viz. Suited our ethos perfectly. Swap jade sea for viz. Jade sea have the lowest skill level in game and without a doubt the most yellow bellied. Getting a fight, even 25-30 vs 60+ is like getting blood from a stone. They have no aggression in them at all. You wipe em they hide or map change.

I hope viz, the viz we fought, battles won and lost, never lose that aggression. The fun hadin that week will be hard to repeat. The sixth and final installment of the video tribute to that week is finished, gck et all take a look :-)

The above happens as both are opportunistic, EB is a special case. With the remnants of our raid yesterday we enjoyed smashing heads with the 2 servers. Neither left their third much at all, certainly didn’t attack each others upgrades.

Who can blame them, their endless chain of people sitting in towers manned with more siege than a group has members. 90% minimum especially on jade sea are karma – wxp train. So take something undefended or wooden, or try and fight.. from constant zone hopping enemies I know what some prefer. Its a mockery of what PvP is supposed to be. Realm vs realm combat, not realm vs door. Anet are partly to blame. Make no wxp karma for taking undefended unupgraded objectives. Substantial rewards for trying to defend against hordes. Encourage fighting.

Its not right when 60-70+ sit away and build siege when only 25-30 attackers.

TBH the moaning of the stun warriors is kinda ironic. Especially the perplexity ones, as you have at least 3 abilities that can transfer the (OP) amount of confusion back at them. Don’t get me wrong I think the build/rune combo is broken, but as a Necro you can flip that on them completely.

The truth is on the battlefield. People kitten and form opinions of guilds over time fighting against them. Nothing one guy can say can change it.

Good to see the map hopping is strong in a lot of so called roaming guilds. Was a shame could of been a much more action packed week.

Cheers to MS + UW for the scraps last night. We ran big numbers for us initially and had some big battles. Thanks to fusion and army for bashing heads with us, aswell as slay, gum etc. We split our raid into 2 15+ raids and had a blast.

Shame MS disappear by 22:00 BST, and always a massive MS presence at 4:00 BST – i’m not a morning person!

UW lost a bit of morale or some commanders since we last fought? While you do defend stoutly its not like what I remember with your BL heroics never say die attitudes.

Shame the other raid got hold of those who shall not be named, I didn’t get to come across them tonight. Although had my fill of fun and action leading reset.

Indeed Kuora, people from GW1 need to grow up a little. GvG translates purely and simply to the concept of Guild Vs Guild. It existed long before GW1 and their form of GvG.

15 v 15, 20 v 20, etc etc, Even numbered fight between 2 guilds duking it out for supremacy. None of this point capping nonsense. Just a fight to the death.

Back in CoD Clan vs Clan ladders/matches happened in various forms. Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, they still were Clan V Clan.

HAPPY? Happy that for the last 4-5 weeks you have deliberately tanked matches to scrape into Silver League in time for the Season 1 start, that now due to delays you have to continue to tank for another 2+ weeks. How is your WvW community managing to stay happy. Any rifts forming? Any raging?

Missed our raid but TUP went UW bl and enjoyed themselves with a good raid.

So I can’t make any comments on whether there was or wasn’t “nice” fights. UW, at least the last time we fought you, I commended you for your die hard spirit on your BL. You made it last time an epic week of fighting. Hoping to come across that same spirit when I get further raids this week.

The holier than thou – “your not playing the game the way its meant to be played” argument really needs to stop.

I am guild leader of a friendly bunch of boyos whom I lovingly call my misfits. I have made 1000% more friends on enemy servers than I have made enemies. To date I only consider 2 guilds cold/hostile towards us, and both those guilds are hostile too everyone. Even enemy server commanders have got in touch in the past and had lengthy discussions and even requested to join my guild.

We roam, we look for open field fights. We look to kill the enemy, is this not WvW?? Is my priority to siege something and take something coloured differently? No! I don’t play for siege wars, if the enemy servers guilds and pugs hide from us in their towers and keeps = a boring week. I will find fights, if none to be had (both servers hiding/lack of numbers) then and only then will I be forced into committing to siege wars for ze realm.

Only reason to take upgraded objectives is to “free up the map” making the enemy come and try to take something, bait the enemy into being aggressive = a fun action packed night of FIGHTS.

I have many many contacts across almost all the EU servers, people ask me which BL you at, for shock horror fights, the chance to roam on same BL against each other for entertainment.

Organised roaming on same BL, purely for fights, its the same principle as GvG just not even numbers ala accepted part of WvW, but knowing we are in the same BL ready for scraps.

Note that’s me (an AG guild) saving a Gandara Keep – repeatedly from the horrible Jade Sea attackers on a reset night. For the fun, for the fights. Did Gandara thank us pfft!

Think of it outside the box. Keeping that blob busy all night, wiping them repeatedly = they aren’t attacking something else, they aren’t map hopping to crush others.

Roaming, both solo, small group and large groups have their place. Don’t let ANET make video A become the norm. Let video B enlighten some of you that don’t run in guilds as to the fun one can have in this game.

I never understand all the hatred and name calling to the GvG community – which infact is just an extension of the WvW community, seeing as all GvG guilds are infact WvW guilds.

So yes I joined in on the level over the previous 19 pages and numerous other threads that the haters of other aspects of their own community deserved. They never ever give reasons as to why they hate them, why they give them kitten, why they interrupt others having fun, which in the CoC is harassment and griefing.

If I gave 2 rats about what the trolls and bile throwing anti gvg crew thought I’d hide my sig, but I don’t, I will speak my mind and if any of the PPT crew have some sensible and sane reasons as to why they spout off so much to the gvg community, i’d love to read it below.

Until the trolls stop acting like trolls, I shall feed them now and then.

If you can’t take it, don’t give it, a lesson you should of learned in your youth.

So be civil to the community which is being kitten on by ANET, the community which is the backbone of almost all servers (guilds). If the PPT crew didn’t use such flawed arguments and insane ones, such as “contribution” you may get some sympathy.

Apologies for missing the gvg with rage on a personal level. Glad the guys did well and all had a good smush.

For the time I was on this week, gvg led against VII and the handful of raids I led/involved in was a enjoyable week. Always knew it would be, got to clash with VII in open field always nice, GH with the multitude of guilds (a lot more since last we fought) provide good enjoyable fights. You were fun to fight before, SOE, PRXM etc now too many to list but lots of fights to be had.

Would be spoilt for choice in a Gandara/AG/GH matchup.

Why just scrim? Why are so many so fixated on the rankings. Just put it all as rated, it shows your history, gives no excuse for not taking it “seriously”.

Its about fun. I will continue to have rated matches as will several others I know.

In another thread I posted that I didn’t look at – nor care about them. GvGs can still go ahead as normal imo. Did I notice the effect, nope VII are a tough bunch to crack, each and every downed from both sides was swings and roundabouts. All comes down to teamwork not the orbs making the difference.

Fun to challenge ourselves against a guild that can put you on the floor with any wrong move. Always nice to fight top quality.

Will always do GvGs rated preferred as it allows guilds to have history – like having 4+ previous gvgs unaccepted on site, having them take place even before site existed is just poor form, denies a guild some history. Shows inaccurate representation of a guilds progression. Just a pet hate I guess, but I find it lame. You do a gvg you do a gvg, win or lose. This scrim or official is just non-sense.

We are unlikely and will continue to fight when we’ve agreed too, regardless of setup, lag or orbs.

Do they make a difference? Tbh I don’t care if they do, I pressed B twice during 7 rounds and that was to see how AG was doing, was in favour once and out of favour the other – bothered no. Just continue to fight ladies and gentlemen.

I am of the opinion, if I miss players, if I lag, if I miss xyz classes (completely), if enemy has 3 orbs, none of that kitten matters. Nothing is ever optimal. You agreed a date/time you fight, only exception to that is if sudden RL cropped up in terms of gvg leaders unable to attend.

GvG scene isn’t dead, but I’m getting tired of being dodged (this week being an exception). For me GvG is about challenging yourself against the best to better yourselves, to try new things. To work on somethings that general raiding doesn’t allow you to do.

Check out any self respecting guild that gvgs, you will see them take on the whole zone and win on occasion.

A lot of guilds have been playing for fights since release, this “5 months bla bla” crap, you are just full of it. I got plenty of videos showing 8 or so killing way more than 20, and vids of 20+ killing way more than 60. Keep trolling, if you quit a game, quit the forums, stop lurking, it’s kinda sad.

Firstly, loving the clashes with you Vanz boyo was a real stern test of the lads. Really loved the challenge you provided in bucket loads. Appreciate the standing at the side when already engaged with someone on your server too. We do try, barring that clusterkitten on a few occasions. Did try to make it a 3way after seeing you and INC engaged.

Second, cheers to INC and others from GH for the fights. Appreciate you (INC) not adding in when already fighting 2 guilds from your server. I made one error after that in ruins that I paid for. Same can not be said about the other guilds, had 3 GH guilds fight us in ruins, freely adding in to us already outmanned. Provides a challenge none the less, we live for the action.

Nice to see we have some PPT trolls on matchup threads as always. AG guilds have been involved in GvGs, AG recently lost a guild and AG population is heavy PVE (dragons). So for a server that’s got how many new guilds? To sit there and comment on “performing badly?” in what sense do you mean. 100-150 ppt in primetime, dude a lot of people stopped playing PPT back in 2012.

Had an epic time tonight thanks to all the guilds and zergs we banged heads against.

If anything the block/dodge helps the skilled players not the zerglings.

If the frontline manage to absorb more “hits” with blocks/dodges, thus for the guys that were unable too dodge the attacks, a portion of the aoe is “used up” on those blocks/evades.

Sure in a random zerg you might see a few blocks and dodges, but nowhere near what a guild group does.

Promotes better play imo. You are saving your teammates getting hit by attacks by dodging them yourself – which in most cases your doing naturally anyways.

Ok so with the league season around the corner. I ask you, which servers do you see deliberately tanking their current/next and quite recent match ups in order to drop to the beloved (10th spot/19th spot). Has anyone noticed it blatantly, get the rumour mill going!

Suspicions on Kodash trying to settle into top of the silver league… Or perhaps they are just weakened recently with loss of people or such? Lost people to AM?

Augury Rock, are they trying to tank to get top dog in silver league…

Abbadons mouth want to be the big dog in silver or the bullied kid in the gold playground… Rumour has it the foot will come off the accelerator and they will end in 11th by the end of this week – watch this space!

Baruch Bay will they keep up the top performance so far and cruise into gold league or will they too succumb to hidden desires of a silver league season.

The biggest culprit though, has to be desolation. Your not hiding it well folks! Since the end of august when you gave Vizunah Square a close (25k) run for 2nd place but missing out. You guys have tanked the last 3 weeks hard, losing over 119 rating not including the (close to 50 more) rating your losing this week. Mass exodus – I think not, cunning ploy to settle into the silver league and win your shiny loots me thinks! Going from a strong 3rd to 10th in about 4 weeks is impressive.

As for silver leaguers trying to tank into the bronze – I highly doubt it, as no one wants to fight dead servers = zzzz, if anything its a scramble for that vital 18th spot! Who will get it!

So whose tanking, in your opinion, insider knowledge welcome! Who will miss out on gold league who will end up in bronze.

Thanks for the fun fights in AG borderland. Recent times have been difficult on a solo player such as myself (Vizunah, Abaddon), with no guild to back me up, but here I was given respect and room to have relatively even fights against a reasonable number of enemies, without being hunted down by a mass number of enemies.

Anet gave us a free playground, it is up to us to make it fun for everybody involved.

Was a fine reset, a good matchup with plenty of different guilds to clash with. Hope TUP was found enjoyable in the clashes I led upto 23:00 BST. Cheers to Viagra for leading after that.

Got a GvG with VII Tuesday and Rage on Thursday, room for another Thursday if I’m upto it (likely).

Not wanting Riverside comes from your server history and mentality. The only time your fun is on reset as you strive hard to take and hold stuff. No T3 doors to hide behind. No hundreds of supply and dozens of ACs. Aside from reset you are completely mind numbingly boring to fight against. Sure it might of changed, I hope it has.

I require fun and excitement something every single time I’ve fought RS hasn’t brought (reset the exception).

I would take Vizunah every single week if I could.

I speak as both a guild leader and a gamer when I say no bandwagoneers please. Just look at the state of previous servers PS et al. While there maybe room for 1 or 2 small-medium sized guilds, it shouldn’t be seen as a catalyst for many to join – you will simply be hindering both yourselves and the server your moving too.

PS still has insane queues over 7-8months on from the time when the server begged people not to come.

As a gamer I want to play, as a guild leader I want to have my guild play as a guild, not have half always in queue during prime time, as was the case over half a year ago. So gamers/guilds think about the important stuff. Don’t make stupid decisions and move server without doing research.

The selfish part of me wants to fight the good guilds ofcourse

End of the day people need to realise you can’t control the behaviour of certain individuals and guilds, you can just hope that all get as much info as they can and make informed choices.

As for wanting to play with the gold league – I want AG to bounce between the leagues if i’m honest. To get the best of both worlds. I would gladly take fighting Vizunah every week or every other week, but then i’m not a crybaby about zergs. I enjoyed fighting the hordes. Sure when guild groups handhold that’s another story :P

All a lot of people I know want is simply good fun, great fights.

Avoiding dead servers would be nice. Below rank 18, it’s just incredibly boring to fight

and there is a lot of very good things, like the surprise charge we made on you, on bay. Actually we are still doing GCK events to counter Piken/Augury, but it’s very hard when there is mass mass THIS IS SPARTA from Piken, too much numbers; But they are good players too.

Was just a shame GCK are an (after hours) late night event :-D Although it made the nights incredibly fun. Adding upto 2-2.5 hrs to our normal raids was “different”. My current matchup just makes me go to sleep.

Never such a thing as “too much numbers” Fight them on the beaches, never surrender!

Might take a few more days yet, but the video of TUPs vizunah loving sessions is on its way.

How I wish vizu was in my match up. Abbadon wipe a few times, hide on siege or map swap. Hoping at this rate they stay in gold league.

I really hate the level of reading comprehension by a lot of folks on forums in general.

We moved the lord to many many places. GTAOE Rezzes work through walls/doors. Saw more than once a banner rez placed outside Seagate garrison rez the lord on inside.

There are 5+ classes that can rez. Killing warriors as the solution as devon calls it – just proof he doesn’t know his own game.

As pointed out a warrior with beserker stance and endure pain and stability hanging around above out of sight – due to the chaos and madness of constantly fighting 100 guys with just <50. Is impossible to stop him getting close and doing the rez.

The problem is the mechanic of the circle progression bar, resetting EVERY single time the lord gets ability-rezzed. We got it to within 1 tick several times, but there is only so much you can do against double your number, with free mass teleport inside every 3mins.

The farm was good, not complaining – just highlighting 2 broken mechanics working in tandem with each other that leads to a really broken game mechanic.
