Who is buying trophy items and what are they using them for? These do not “say” recipe ingredient on them anywhere. They did not get claimed by an npc when I hit the “sell junk” tab. They don’t seem to be part of any “turn in x items” quest. So why do they sell on Auction House?

I have found two traits in low level zones.

I was paying at a trainer and I should have first tried this map unlocking. I’m level 50 but trying a lvl 50 zone is to hard. Last time I was in this puzzle jumping cave with demon thingyies and just no f*ing way. Hitting the spyglass repeatedly on a mostly unrevealed map is annoying.

Has someone made a list of low level zone unlockable traits?

hate to chime in but anets already kinda stomped on the notion of “sexy cat people”

Charr males look mean and grizzled and cat like, and there was a well documented argument and report of the females design.

it boiled down to “we don’t want Cat girls with huge boobs, make them practical and in line with the males and the feel of the world. either they get no boobs or 6 boobs”

personally i think they went in a good direction no just making gnarled male creatures with “sexy” colored human girls as the female half of the race. I think Anet would likely stick to this when it comes to other non-human races that may become playable.

I’m a traditional guy I gotta like them vampires and werewolves. If I was to have a new race I choose vampire. I’m just not going to play as an animal person even if I appreciate them. Not my rp thing to do fuzzy/scales. But I love others in those roles!

I’m Sylvari now because they’re the elf looking race.

I am pro marriage only if gay marriage is allowed. But NO advantage armor stat benefits to gameplay. I would like to see a wider variety of clothing in this game and wedding attire would rock all.

Also, plz, if this is implemented DO NOT MAKE EXPENSIVE outside of optional wardrobe. I hate games where a marriage license can only be afforded by the rich high levels.

With this game’s coloring system you could really go nuts with bridesmaid’s outfits!

I would however give a stat bonus to all who attended the wedding for like maybe 3hrs. Guild weddings can be a lot of fun in games. I’ve been to a few in Final Fantasy and Mabinogi.

In Mabinogi you can also get adopted by a marriage couple. I’m my niece’s (irl) child (in game) lol.

Daily is easy but if your PvE and *****HATE JUMPING PUZZLES****** then monthly is to hard to get.

Who stays with any mmo for more than a year?

There needs to be more PvE monthly options. This is ridiculous. And something that does not involve jumping!

So some research and I think I’m suppose to have all of the same kind of rune on every piece of armor. But how do I take runes off armor? Why is armor sets so mismatched with no runes alike on auction?

I notice there’s always at least one pvp track with an expire date of about a week. Why is that?

So there are dungeon, world, and pvp. But for pvp you have to actually pick your reward track. For dungeon you have to do some open the dungeon story quest line. I can’t put my mind around WvW yet.

Why do I have to pick my pvp reward track? I seem to be getting rewards when I pvp without it.

If I do pick a pvp reward track I guess I’m stuck doing team pvp to get it done quicker. So how do I join what falls in my pvp track’s path or does it just automatically take me to a pvp arena that is in my reward path?

Confused.

PvP players are simple minded thus easy to please? ?*grins and ducks missiles*?

I played FFXIV.

GW2 doesn’t look or act like Final Fantasy. GW2 puts me in mind of if Everquest and WoW had a baby together.

I left FFXIV because of update lag. That world felt smallish. I could walk to all the beginner zones in minutes. So pretty, laggy, and small. I liked Mantras but SE should have listened to us in FFXI and added them there. FFXI should be f2p by now but SE is to proud.

I am loving GW2’s huge map. That’s what makes it feel more like Everquest. It’s coloring that looks WoWish. Of course on a Windows Vista I have to have graphics at lowest sadly.

I notice a channel change popup comes on asking me if I want to move to a more populated channel. That’s nice I like that a lot. But if I’m spending the day crafting I would rather be on a less pop. How do I change channel myself?

Logged back in tonight and it worked. Guess it was lag it didn’t register I had 25 count. Lag was bad today.

The beginner popups are ruining my rp immersion. Can I shut them off?

I was thinking the same thing. I’m surprised Zam didn’t pick up GW2. I’ve posted on Guru but it has a lot of posting restrictions. Still there’s a good response rate.

Someone mentioned WoW so I thought I would point out:

WoW = sub = expansion plans
GW2 = box2pay = updates

Simple math. Can’t make expansions when you can’t pay the devs.

Just to point simpler math:
GW1 = buy2play = expansions & updates

and both superior to the GW2 updates in my humble opinion. If anything, GW2 bussiness model screams for bigger cash injections, so expansions would be logical. But as always – I don’t see whole picture, maybe I’m wrong and Anet is right. I just wonder why I don’t play anymore… (still read forums XD)

Game development is more complex & competitive now. This isn’t the same market when GW1 launched. GW2 has some powerful pluses but OP is right about needing to compete for the public’s eye. An expansion with real housing would be nice.

I’ll tell you one thing GW2 has done right – I can run this game on a slow crappy PC. That’s a high compliment! Most can’t put a 3k gaming PC together. I might be able to afford Alienware in a year or two but for now GW2 is the only recent game I’m able to run on my Windows Vista.

Flying mounts yes. Land mounts are impractical. You’ll all hate but I think mounts should be a cash shop pay with irl money thing. It worked great for Mabinogi.

Please bring back Caledon’s auction house. You turned our npc’s into weapons npcs instead of AH npc’s! Why punish us Sylvari? Now we have to go to an over crowded laggy Grove to buy and sell. And please bring back the sell items from tab option.

This is a lag issue. Because there are only a few auction houses left in the game. It’s a graphic issue. I could play perfect before and now since update I can’t move around an auction house at all. There are to many people in the starter city needing to use the auction house. We need our auction house tab back.

I just joined this game and the first update breaks it! I can’t get anywhere near an auction house without extreme lag. This game no longer plays on my PC! Why did they take away the ability to sell things from inventory and remove the other auction houses??? * I CAN’T MOVE BECAUSE OF THE LAG NOW! * Why is it every mmo I join the game makers break it right after I join up?

I wrote a review complimenting GW2 for being playable on any PC old or new. I’m going to have to destroy my write up now.

Bring the AH’s back or I’m not invited my friends to play and I’m leaving myself. Not stomping off the game is literally broke on my PC I can’t move in the starter city anymore. It’s stupid to think billions of players can gather around two PC’s in one starter city and there be no lag.

Please tell me you’ll fix this devs?!

I can’t move through The Grove anymore even with my graphics settings at lowest. To many people around the only auction house available. Please bring back the auction house in Caledon and in our character tab. Ty.

Okay, thx. Not trying to be difficult but if I understand you correct I am suppose to be naked (it’s like a buff) because tree people sleep in underwear because it’s more comfortable, obviously. Or maybe I never existed before and someone somewhere is in charge of slipping cheap white undies on the newborn-adult pod people. Do you humans wake up naked?!

And I am really glad to hear we have a cosmetic costume section. Honestly I came from playing FFXIV and I so wished for that. I assume this will be like what we can buy from a shop. I’m fine with that.

Does anyone know if I can launch a game from Start Menu in windowed mode or if I have to use a desk top icon to write in the -windowed command on exe?

Also in character creation I could glow in the dark (like my tats and hair) so will I run into like a night time in the game where I can glow again?

I just bought this game today and played as Sylvari hunter and fought the...twig dragon and zoned from cutscene and now I’m naked. I’m a hunter and my cat’s gone to. I assume the cat is unsummoned (and I have no idea how to summon him as of yet) but why can’t I see my armor? I thought I would fix this by opening the gift pack and putting on it’s armor so I double clicked, it traded with my beginner wear, but still I’m standing there in my Fruit-a-Looms. Help?
