It worked for about one day for me and now it’s borked again. The answer to my ticket was “keep an eye on the forums we are aware and working on it” (not exact quote just jist).

How many instances of EOTM are up and running per server? Is it possible to change channel in EOTM? If so, how? Would doing so give me a new instanced map?

Does WvW mean EOTM only or are there other meanings for WvW in GW2?

Also, why am I always on the green (OG I think) team? Can I do anything to change this?

I finally get to be in the notorious Guild Wars pranks. Koolz.

I’m in the USA I’m also needing to upgrade. I will probably drive to a company a few towns away that specializes in building gaming PC’s. Thought of putting one together myself but it really isn’t that much cheaper than having an expert do it.

I got an infraction when I brought this subject up. I’m rather mad about it.

Okay I still have this problem about every time I log in. I found out now to press “Y” and go Invisible for 2 minutes then press “Y” again and Offline for 2 minutes and that brings guild chat back up. Still wish they would get this fixed. Don’t want make a ticket over this. Doesn’t seem serious enough and I had some serious happen over the last month that made for 3 tickets. All fixed but does any dev even read these forum threads?

Weapon Sigils it will say stacks to 25 then “ends on down.” What does that mean?

Sometimes doing the press “Y” go invisible offline then back online again works and some days it does not. When it does not work I get message saying I am not in a guild and I cannot type chat to the guild or see the guild’s chat.

Plz no wiki’ish scrubbed in hot water clinical answer. If I look it up I see a lot of instructions to guild leaders how to start missions for their guild but nothing about what that means to me as a guild member. I have five guilds and have played this game for over a year now (on and off) and yet no one has ever said to me, “Hey, Harrow, you want to come join a…” w/e. Why? Shouldn’t someone have asked me to do a guild mission by now?

By the way, there seems to be no cap for character slots. I heard of a guy who made several hundred characters and is still able to buy more slots.

I meant more free slots if we get more classes.

How many characters are we allowed to make? One for each job the game offers? When the expansion comes out will we be allowed to make more characters per account? Assuming there are more jobs coming.

I just have a problem with rain and snow. I wish we could shut off weather in options.

how do I get to 150 where I can craft gold?

I have no problem with RIP threads. If one of the fantasy novelists I care about were to be moved on to the next life and far away from me I would like to find somewhere to shoulder the burden in my chest. But some peeps go to fantasy games to get away from reality altogether and can’t deal. There’s no solution unless every forum everywhere sets aside a reality thread for things like RIP.

I can’t do many jumping puzzles and they count toward world completion still I think. Wish they were separate from world completion.

I try to ignore the dailies but they keep popping up in my unmodable UI. If only I could shut them and everything in the upper corner off for good.

Everything else is terribly useless except healing. I used the other skills when I was on my PvE trek up to level 80 but it felt kinda like I had to force myself to. Like look extra careful for an opportunity. But at level 80 there’s no longer any use for Hunter’s Shot, Point Blank Shot, or Barrage.

I mostly WvW these days. Just Rapid Fire and healz.

I came from the Final Fantasy world not Guild Wars. I was almost going to buy GW1 a million times but it never happened. When GW2 came out I was like okay I’m joining up. I’ve had enough of chocobo land to last me.

I am so clueless to what you are all babbling on about.

What I do know is this. A little green asterisk appears on my map. If I go to it I get a cutscene with my character talking in an annoyingly charming voice (well done, applaud the actor, but just not the low gravelly masculine voice I would have liked for my char). I watch him chase a stag or w/e. It’s kinda boring but makes more sense than a Final Fantasy cutscene. I think fangirl thots to get thru it and eat a sandwich or drink a coke.

I’ve been told that GW2 is a continuation of a story from GW1. Now you are on the forums telling me the story I’m currently on is going to be locked away; presumably in a cash shop for sale???? I don’t even know what happened in GW1 so why should I care?

Now if the story was about a gay romance (Dragon Age style) with my char having a staring role I might of had my panities in a bunch over loosing out on some good action scenes.

I hate jumping puzzles. Jumping higher would be nice but I’ll still hate them.

It’s not an unreasonable complaint. Get off your high horses and stop looking down you noses at the OP. If it doesn’t bother you to open up chests then just say, “hey, doesn’t bother me.” Being insulting is called trolling. And it makes you look stupid you couldn’t figure out a nicer way to talk.

I agree it seems a little silly all the chests and chests and chests. Mostly I wish they’d back off the anti-mod policy and allow UI mods thru so we don’t have to look at dailies, chests, or fancy fringe borders, etc, if we don’t want to. Nothing game changing just allow us to have whatever UI we want. And minus constant popups if we chose to. Or make it an Option Menu thing we could check off.

I agree it’s not super important but I’m not going to crit the OP for pointing out it got on hisers nerves.

Any recent microsoft updates slow most pc’s down. Windows with running adds will slow you (I use Adblock Plus on both Firefox and Chrome to stop that junk). And indexing slows down games. I shut all indexing off.

I got lag when I played this morning but nothing that brought me to a stand still.

Interesting views. I’m loath to leave a guild once I’ve joined. Leads to guild hopping. Which I don’t disdain. I just don’t have the energy to spare for it. Been there. Done that. Own the t-shirt shop. But my stance stays. Demanding 100% rep is invasive and rude. I didn’t join your guild(s) with my ACCOUNT. I joined with my CHARACTER. You don’t like it, bite me.

And I’m not going to repeatedly mention that everyone but me cares about getting more hunter pets. Really I’m not.

I’ve been a casual player coming and going from GW2 as I get caught up in various single player console games. I just came back after a long hiatus. I thought would be nifty to try a mesmer for a bit. So this new guild in chat is asking for help forming up and I’m like okay np. Then I’m on this mesmer goofing around with weapon skins and I get a PM saying, “Just a reminder, full representation is required by our guild. Have a nice day.” This from my main guild on my main character.

OMG what?!? I don’t think I can politely express how offended I am atm so I’m just going to quit here.

How do you peeps feel about guilds pushing you to represent them on all your characters?

The personal housing is great with craftable interactable furniture and RNG has an unending plethora pets which all seems to be the central concern of everyone here but me.

I never see dead players as bad players.

As ranged I think of them as suicide tanks. I’m proud of their sacrifice. I feel ashamed when they die because I’m nice and safe from that stomping boss far far far out there trying to get close enough not the see the “object in way” and “out of range” floaties as I fire. I feel like shyte they took my blows for me while I was getting into position and worse for not being able to get close to raise them. A boss stomping around their dead corpses emphasizes my non-tanky self would just die next to them if I tried.

I don’t follow the story, either. Not because I don’t want to but… I’m new to GW2 and never played GW1. I’m glad living story is there for people but I don’t get this “living” bit where the story will advance before my new player self has ever seen it. I don’t want to be rushed I have a day job.

I am pro independent role play options. That would include a social zone with obtainable furniture and decor and animations to interact with said objects.

I entered this map and felt sorry for the people begging to let the temple fall. They were just getting trolled. I tried to joke around and cheer everyone up but you could feel the rage and frustration. So I just left with no intent to come back there. Sad.

Has anyone bothered to actually count the skins of each weapon class?

OP, what kind of skin are you looking for that you can’t find? Pics of what you have in mind might help devs with some ideas.

I don’t think jumping puzzles should count toward map completion. There are to many people who get physically sick trying to do jumping puzzles.

I’m not really sure I want my mailbox full of festival info. Is there a festival thread on these forums? How many festivals does this game usually run? Are the festival hand-outs good? Are rewards account-bound? I wont work my donkey off for account bound items sorry I hate that.

Most games have a holiday festival thread dedicated solely to non-gamish related events. If this forum does not then bing suggestion. Along those thoughts does GW2 have mini-games?

No corp can deal with Steam without them trying to take over. Steam is a monopoly with greedy selfish business practices.

I try to use that npc next to the market npc to combine boosters and more to get a kind of booster I might want but it’s got to many rules to what applies to what so I never get what I want.

I don’t craft so I don’t need crafting speed. Gathering speed is silly because gathering is done while questing and fighting mobs. What is the point of a couple of seconds of speed when you have to stop to fight everything? The speed is worn off by the time you actually need it. I could go on down the line about how useless these boosts are to beginner players. Yet my bank is full of free handouts. Do high levels use these things?

So no I will not be buying any from the cash shop. Gawd I wish I could sell them. Useless.

Really I think starting a thread on how to make boosters more useful to low levels might be in order. Like maybe have an inventory tab on your character where you can store ALL ACCOUNT BOUND ITEMS and it’s not related to any d*mn bag you have to buy from the bank. Then an option to auto-use boosters on this tab so you don’t have to bother even thinking about them being there. They waste time I could be thinking about something better.

Why is my plant person such a suck up? Why does he have such a whiny good-boy voice? Why am I a grown plant man calling some woman “mother?” I don’t want to join the rtrds serving the nightmare but I don’t want to be a prissy do-good either. Oh, well, at least there is an actual story in this game which is better than what most mmo’s give you. Well, a story that makes sense, unlike Asian mmo’s which make no sense at all but look really cool.

What’s a “forum specialist?”

I would like more voice options for my character. I would like some evil and/or low voices for males.

I would like all games to stop hiring expensive voice actors. I really don’t know if GW2 does this. I didn’t look at the credits. But gaming corps shelling out big money for one famous voice actor is ruining most the games I play. I would rather have more voices by many average actors than one voice by one famous actor. And plz no pitch manipulation to get lower and higher voices. Once again I am basing this on other previous played games not GW2. Just warning what they’ve done wrong.

You get that pop up for anything above a green. Not sure that adding a second pop up to ask, “no seriously are you really really really sure,” would be a good thing necessarily.
