Honestly I miss old Lion’s Arch in general. I just feel like the old map had a lot more character or something then the new one… I liked it a lot more overall.

i liked when the city was destroyed and its people suffering…..because the mystic forge was right next to a crafting station AND THE CRAFTING STATION NEVER MADE NOISE WHEN YOU USED IT AS A BANK

its literally the most annoying thing about this game, i still dont have any option to specifically turn it off,why does the banker say MAY THE STARS GUIDE YOU every time someone talks to her???

if i made a thread on these forums every 5 seconds that just said MAY THE STARS GUIDE YOU anet would ban me, yet i have to hear them do it in game every 5 seconds, seriously nobody likes this, nobody will be sad if you change it

the advanced logistics autoloot option cant be used in WVW, it shows the option as greyed out in the ptions menu and says “you must have this perk blah blah” but id o have it and even in the options menu it shows it checked off so no idea why its not working

No offence but what I read from OPs text is that s/he is pretty new to sPvP or haven’t play much PvP atleast.

The map mechanics in the game is fantastic and 5vs5 is the best number in GW2, they had 8vs8 before but it was too much even if I want it back it is not atleast a ranked mode.

How long someone survives comes with build and player skills, sounds like it works as intended as long as a tanky build can’t tank 3 players and not die. I am far from a pro but I have never seen that this season.

Also if you go 1vs1 on all 3 points you will have two more players who doesn’t know how to play.

3 years of pvp i mostly AFK the dailies at this point, i dont think i have EVER killed any1, i cant think of another pvp game in the history of mankind where its possible to never kill any1 at all even when you try, the skill floor in this game needs to be cut by about a thousand percent

You’re joking, right? 5v5 teamfights are just a mess of AoE and crazy effects. 1v1 and 2v2 fights are much more skill based and interesting. Conquest was probably the only mode to prevent fracturing the player base (LoL actually deleted a game mode/map recently for this reason). Also, if they allowed capping when you have more people on a point it would totally screw up point defending and invalidate a large number of builds and key strategies.

PvP has issues, but none of your suggestions are even remotely helpful.

Edit: I’m really curious what class you play.

pvp is too skill based, removing some of the skill is a wonderful idea , theres a reason nobody plays this mess of a feature

the pvp in this game is TERRIBLE the time to kill is either impossibly high or instant depending on what class you fight and it feels just horrible

it was designed poorly from the ground up, why are all the maps dominaton? why does a domination mode with 3 points have a team size of only 5? that just encourages 1v1 fights and the gw2 pvp system is HORRIBLE at 1v1 fights….there is more circle strafing than in dark souls

gw2 pvp is only halfway decent in large battles and the maps/ team sizes dont lend themselves to that at all, they should all be replaced with deathmatch maps like that awesome courtyard map that is not in pvp ranked FOR SOME REASON (probably the “pros” complained

at the very least if i have 2 ppl on a point and the enemy has one we should be capping faster than they are, resulting in us getting the point

mesmer is so OP its an absolute joke…..and the balance team is the only ones laughing

1. remove all domination maps….thats a terrible way to fight with the gw2 system

2. replace them all with small deathmatch maps U KNO LIKE GW1

3. make pets untargetable in pvp, nobody attacks pets on purpose they just get in the way

4. if 1 team has 2 ppl on a point and the other has 1….the team with 2 should be capping

5. is it clear yet that i absolutely hate the pvp in gw2?

And don’t forget we’re talking about weapon skins gained from Black Lion Ticket Scraps. They’re not rewards earned in game, unless you’ve been farming keys. Anyone willing to throw enough (tons of) money at keys can eventually get one when the sets come out. They’re not exclusive to skill or grinding.

any1 can get it if you throw money at it…..thats kinda the point, i did throw money at it and you didnt, so i deserve to always have it and the BEST thing about having it is knowing that others do not, anet has probably realized this by now as we are not seeing old sets re released so often anymore

Why 5 years? So people get to enjoy exclusivity for that time. 5 years is more than enough to show off a pretty skin. After that, it’s time to switch to the next model if you want to show off something, let the rest of the kids enjoy them too without having to grind keys or spend fortunes in freaking RNG key or depend on people selling them in the trading post.

ok, i will agree with you that anet releases too many weapon skins and the market is saturated, because i actually do own about 50% of all black lion skins back when iw ent out of my way to collect ALL of them. i think anet would make more money only releasing partial sets of weapons.

for example the glittering weapon set is nice for magic weapons but the hammer and swords look pathetic, nobody wants those, why not only make the magic set?

i should point out however that ur math is way off, u can get 2 weapon tickets per black lion key AND there is a roughly 1 in 50 chance of instantly getting a full claim ticket so u need to re adjust ur math, also if a single black lion skin was 30 to 50$ each you could just spend half that on gems, convert the gems into gold and then use the gold to buy the skin

so your complaining about the ONE item in gw2 that is actually expensive? sheesh why dont you just go enjoy buying some of the nice cheap yellow weapons that sell for 20 SILVER EACH gawd

I love what they’ve done with Aetherized weapons. Take old BLC weapons and turn them into super rare rewards for fractals. I don’t care if I don’t get item X right away, especially if they’re blocked behind the gem store. But if they trickle into rewards, it motivates to play the content for a chance at them.

All the work ANet does to make skins makes them money in the short term, but then everyone gets to enjoy them in the long term. It’s a good system. They just probably need to reduce the time between gemstore and in-game a bit.

Sadly they stopped making underwater skins quite some time ago, which I personally find a shame because everytime I get black lion skins I want the underwater skins also to keep the theme running, basically this is why I like dreamthistle and chaos weapons the best, since they do have the full set of skins.

they didnt stop completely they just stoped making black lion skins……i still deserve my reclaimed spear for this particular set, and for all non black lion sets since idk what they do with those

So people complained that BL skins are too expensive. Now, people are complaining that they are too cheap.

I’ve always considered that ANet introduced too few collections and achievements that are impossible to complete — they should make it clear from the beginning that no one is expected to finish everything and that folks should, instead, stick to the things that they like.

If you like the skins, collect them. If you don’t, then look for another collection. If you want to make money, then consider other markets — there’s no reason to expect that BL skins will ever be as valuable as the first few sets were.

well i dont like half the skins AND i dont like seeing my wardrobe fill up with empty spaces so this “please everybody” mentality is not a good one to have

I have 25 sets completed, 2 started and 3 missing completly. Trying to collect these can burn one out.
I miss the times when these collection achievements did not exist, because most of these skins are so ugly I would never wear them

this is why they should have micro collections of 3 or 4 weapons each with a SPECIFIC THEME no reason for them to release so many weapons in a set when only a few of them fit the theme they were trying to make

but dude GIVE UP on the collecting your addicted, even i skip some sets entirely like the ugly wintersday sets

I think they’re making up for the fact that, for a few months pre-HoT, there were literally no bl skins being released. I’m personally all for as many new skins as possible. The more options, the better.

at the rate they are releasing them id have to break out my credit card to even collect those options……..which is not happening, anet isnt getting a dime out of me after what they have released lately

so good discussion so far, i see many people feel like these skins are coming out too often

i just wanted to imply that the weapon sets would be better off if they were focused on certain things……for example the glittering set seems more magic based and the melee weapons in that set seemed tacked on (no matter what profession you play) the same can be said for many sets….i think the plasma bows were badly made

and overall it seems that the prices on these weapons reflect this trend also……we buy a certain set to fill out a certain feel……and it seems that some sets dont fill out that feel very with certain weapon types and i think the overall quality would go UP if they focused more on what a set could and coudlnt do and then excluded those weapons…….this would also mean we might see a few underwater weapons again every now and then and i would like that…..i want some nice spears and tridents again

anet your releasing WAY TOO MANY black lion skins in too short of a time, nobody can keep up, nobody even wants to keep up anymore as evidenced by how prices on black lion skins have plummeted in the past year, i know it used to be your bread and butter but you over saturated the market with too many.

THE SOLUTION 1: release them less often 2: stop releasing full sets, you already stopped releasing underwater weps (even though i like spears) so maybe its time to do that with other sets…..i think we can all agree that the black lion glittering set should NOT have had melee weps, it looks “fine” for magic but that butterfly set is not something im going to use as a hammer…..so why make the melee weps at all?

you could save time and money by producing only specialized half sets of weapons that would serve a more niche audience with each set
