i agree with the OP the actual engi backpack kit are UGLY
i have a little female human, and i just hate those insane huge kit backpack.
I also agree that we should have at least one other kit skin choice, like a little belt. we already have the skill bar change we do not need thoses awfull skins
but for god sake NOT something with gems..
IMHO, they should just make the pet optional a like in GW1 where we could have a excellent ranger without that useless pet.
but as long as Anet dont want to add skill / add weapons skills / lets class to have different f1 f2 f3 f4 to have real different play style, nothing will change since they look to just want to do skill / traits value tweak.
About WvW…
I know you are asking about the edge of the mist.. but IMO that’s a nearly useless map for randomly fight ( but fun to play like you could traval around pve maps to pass time )
Multi server for one side → no clear vocal organisation like for official maps.
I would like to suggest one thing about WvW.
I know many players wont agree,but whatever.
Do NOT allow food in the “officials” WvW maps. Why ?
Its not because its WvW where we use our pve character that its a reasons to have a unbalance pvp that advantage the food farmer or thoses who have more money.
Same thing for the ascended stuff. Exotic armor stat should be boosted to ascended armor rank to have a correct balance since Anet choosed to destroy the gear balance with that stuff.
Of course, the gear stat boost should only occur in WvW maps.

@ETan, not sure I’d agree. While GW1’s gameplay was massively more complex, I never felt like it was much deeper. It was a teensy bit deeper, but the gargantuan amount of skills and combinations seemed to amount to relatively little, all things considered.
Since its out of topic, i will answer into a spoiler, to avoid “polute” the thread
GW1 is not massively more complex
You just have physical damage – magic damage – curse – condition, the anti physical – magic – curse – condition.
Control : blind for physical, snare , chilled, somes curses., for magic : Interrupt, daze, and many mesmer skills
That’s not massively complex, it just offer more tactical choice and a giant and pretty solid rock paper cissor game.
A bit like magic the gathering.
About the skill combinaison, is you said it “seem” it resume what it seem about your GW1 experience ( i dont say to be insulting ) but the character and team builds possibilities is just insane. (sure, at least 1/4 of the 200 skills per class was useless because 1- Anet was used to destroy skill instead of balance them 2- they never spend time to rework somes skills )
Also 85% of the pve players never exploited 1/4 of the GW1 possible builds , i could say the same for many pvp players, that was just copying other builds without thinking a minute.
The GW1 gameplay is WAY more deep, because its a strong team play where everyone have his particular role ( exemple you could easyly have 20 ( if not more ) totaly different way to play your necro, same goes on for each class )
Truth me, i played GW1 since prophetie until somes month after gwen and i spend at least 4years in top 50-170 gvg guilds ( i was clearly not a beast pro player, but i played it enough to see how deep is that game )
unlike GW2 where character mostly play solo with somes heal – boon share and little skills combo ( 80% of the time only used for might – retaliation – Swiftness – regen )
GW2 everything is simple its a bit like playing a pokemon card game. Its just : massive damage, very little and ponctual control, and dodge to avoid a bit.. that’s.. very limited ( i dont say its bad )
With many thing not really correctly balanced :
Sure the gameplay is more deep than many basic mmo, but i have many things that just dont work.
I could detail detail way more GW1 deepness and GW2 issue / limitation.. but i will do short xD
I can also totaly understand that my various criticisms could not be totaly understood if you dont have a strong GW1 experience.
And sorry, My english is far to be perfect :/

About the ranger, just look at ALL the possibilities of the GW1 ranger
IMO, you have problem because there is a lot of problem in the general GW2 gameplay
So, its not possible to only speak about ranger without speaking of many problem in the GW2 gameplay.

My main issue is your Agony resistance.
In fact, that’s just a gear check, that only requier many farm, many time to get, it have nothing to do with how smart the player is. And Agony bring nothing AT ALL gameplay side.
Basicly, since AR requier ascended stuff, and since ascended requier many time ( laurels for jewels ) or a fortune or a insane farm for the ascended armor – weapons its only reserved to a very minority hardcore farmer, and not really allow more casuals players to access higher lvl of difficulties.
Also, it stuck you with only one character, and one build.. able to enter high fractal lvl. which turn that quite boring.
That’s nearly the same problem as the one with the gear and stat in general ( suggestion made in that topic )
because personaly, having to farm months and waste hundred of gold just to have one character beeing able to play correctly into the lvl 30-39 and more.. just.. no thanks.
So i dont play anymore in fractale.
- In your feedback, please tell us what area of the game you play the most (PvE/WvW/sPvP).
- If possible, include stats on how much you play in each of those areas too.
- Please include the profession you play the most, even if it isn’t Ranger.
I play mostly in WvW, 80% of my gameplay time,
Pve, only for the various dungeon to farm gold ( the game is forcing me to farm because of that gear system ^^ )
For the class, i play mesmer / neco / warrior / engi / thief / elmentalist.
I have a Ranger, but i stopped it at lvl 75 ( actualy, its just a material storage character ).. too desapointed after beeing used to the GW1 ranger.
I dont have “favorite” class, they offer a different gameplay so it depend of my mood.
I have to admit that, having to farm gear during weeks to try news builds dont motivate me.
Add to that fixed weapons skills, impossible to create new combo – gameplay dynamic except with few traits change ( or it change because of the runes – sigils and gear stat ) make each class limited and its boring quite fast.
A bit like playing magic the gathering only with the started build.. would you find that interesting durings months ?
Humble opinion of someone that spend 6years on GW1 doing tons of test builds.

Hello, about the bonus and profession balance, i would like to speak about a important aspect of thoses class. And i really hope its going to be took into consideration.
I will try to explain that correctly in english
My point is that GW2 allow to switch the character gameplay style very easyly since we can switch weapons like we want, change traits, reset stat to restat our character as many time as we want. ( we should be able like in gw1 to reset stat anywhere we want without having to use gems or a npc, but well )
And its a very good thing !
BUT, the gear ( armor – weapons stats + runes + sigils ) is most of the time way more important than the “build” itself. And that’s the problem !
Gear itself ask many time to get ( dungeons runs, mcm insignia, material gathering.. ), or ask quite a lot of gold ( around 20-30po just for a full exotic set, and i only count armor + jewels. so no runes no weapons, no sigils )
So if i want to play dps, i will need a particular set, if i want to play condition i will need another set, another set for support, another one for tanking.. etc
Same for somes particular expensive runes, that will ask me a special set just for them.
It finaly end up that i’am going to spend 99% of my time running after the stuff rather than really enjoying doing test builds
I’am playing 6 differents class only 2 of them have somes ascended jewels. 2 of thems have 2 times the exact same armor set because of expensive runes, the 4 others class only one set, one build.
And even if i really would love to try many other builds ( like i made with GW1 during 6years ), i just dont have any pleasure to spend weeks – a lot of money to get all the necessary stuff, its more a plague for me than anything else.
So i just gave up… :/ and it just kill my pleasure and desire to play this game who was supposed to be like GW1 for that.
The actual way to obtain gear is totaly opposing the way we can in few clic change our class gameplay style and build.
It tend more players to stuck their character into one build ad vitam aeternam, when i guess its not supposed to be like that
So i have a suggestion for the gear ( exotic ) :
( note i speak about armor but it should be the same for weapons and jewels )
Like that, it offer a cheap and fast way to have the end game stats, while keeping the hardest work needed ( like actualy ) to get the skin you want. so transmutation, or why not armor skins like jades weapons skins you just have to apply, so it would always requier the “starting armor skin” to collect many other skins ( ofc you need to do over again the insignia – rune collection )
About Ascended… i dont really know what to say.. maybe use the same system ?
Do not soul bound ascended jewel, like that we could use old unused jewel with another class ? which would be excelent considering how painfull it is to get them with only 1 character ? :/ Or just make all ascended items like legendary and already have all stats ?
Also please… do not consider the usage of any new cash shop item for a such thing except the existing ones :s

The “problem” is that you remember ALL the D possibilities in GW1, but GW2 class are a poor version of the GW1 ones.
exemple : GW1 ranger
( without speaking of dual class )
GW2 ranger ? poor survival, clearly not the best dps, nor condi user, control ? well no more interrupt ( btw GW2 + interrupt = crap ) trap are a joke, like spirit, and you HAVE TO use that pointless pet…
ranger way simply awesome in GW1, they are bad as hell in GW2…
( or just see what happened to the awesome control mesmer, that’s now a clone spammer mostly used in WvW for his portal and veil… so cool…. )
So, i would be a bit worry to see a GW2 dervish version…
just imho
1 – lack of real build diversity, always the sames and sames and sames weapons skills.. quite boring after a while.
2 – Many bad balance condi – boons – random interrupt, this game is nearly only kill fast and no need to really think.
3 – Anet dont look to care that much about class balance, improove them.. they offer really few things that really improove the gameplay
4 – farm stuff.
5 – farm stuff.
6 – farm stuff.
7 – farm stuff.
8 – farm stuff.
9 – farm stuff.
10 – farm stuff.
and.. let me see.. farm stuff !
Builds are really too much dependent on stat, and stuff are more or less long, boring, and not really cheap to get.
So you can easly need 4-5 differents set of different stat, or serveral time the same stat becauce of different runes or sigil.
No speaking about ascended stuff….
you spend nearly all you gaming time running after the stuff instead of really enjoying your class and “all” his possibilities

ascended armor, like 80% of the armor in this game are just awfully designed, no inspiration, poor charisma, or bad modeling ( just look at the GW1 mesmer light armor you can have in the hall of monument… your character look as huge as a norn with that, when if should be a close-fitting cloth. )
Also, look at games like vindictus – blade and souls – GW1 where many armor have are very good looking..
Also, GW2 have another huge problem with “long robe” when your character is running, it totaly deform that, so it look terribad
too many wrong things with the various armor look in that game.
In this game you dont hesitate between many awesome skin, you pick the less ugly one… :/

People complaining is actually a sign that they want the game to be even better, not that they think it’s bad. When people think a game is bad, they just leave.

Also, ofc GW2 have lot of nice things, but there is also, a LOT of quite bad one that need to be solve, and saddly they are way toooooo slow to work on a lot of thing and really improove their game.
IMHO, they waste too many time and resource on their “living world” that finaly bring nothing since somes nice activities are just temporary. ( and gameplay side, that nearly only bring grinding activities for success point, and 98% of the time pointless reward… )
The proposed changes to critical damage gear aren’t specifically PvE-focused, but focused rather on the stat weighting of critical damage itself. We’re not aiming to make crit damage unviable, just to bring it closer to other gear sets.
As for the first feature build, there will be other factors coming into play that could very well offset the changes, including reworked runes/sigils, the ability to use sigils in new combinations (including 2 on a two-handed weapon), and the profession balance changes. Just something to keep in mind.

1- everyone is sick of the mandatory gear farming
Maybe instead of nerfing crit damage because pve ( sorry i dont truth you when you are saying its not about that ) you should think of a way to spare player of that insane gear farming
Do you really think its fun having to farm many many many differents gears ( armor / jewels / weaponS ) for differents stats for differents builds ? or, having differents set of the same stats because of many expensive runes ?
2- class “balance” when i see what you are planning to do just with the mesmer Desperate Decoy trait.. and when you have a full thread prooving you how its a bad idea.. ( only one exemple randomly picked up, and you can easly find TONS of others “bad” ideas like that )
No sure your way to balance the game is really the right one :/
3- making “zerk” build more close to the other stat ? guess you have enough thread prooving you how its just a bad idea ( with very nice explanation of WHY its NOT a good idea, and will never be a good idea ), no matter how you try present that as a good one.
Its really disheartening how you think / plan / act about gameplay “balance” /faceplam

this first step is nothing more then to slow down the players abilities to kill content.
IMHO, it resume everything they are going to do hidden by somes “i dont buy it” excuses.
Another question would be : is that really interesting to have content that requier to waste more time on it. Especialy when 90% of that content only ask to kill it before take too much damage..
Also, Anet have a strange ability to really mess up “great” ideas or not reworking what it really need to be reworked… I say that in general ( and that since GW1, i cant count the increadible amount of skill they just killed instead of doing smart update )

For clarification: if you have 0-2 clones out and you dodge, you will summon a clone.
If you have 3 clones out and you dodge, nothing will happen.
I’am sorry, but
1- there is certainly WAY more interesting thing to “update” than that ( useless confusion , many pointless uti, pointless interrupt, P thief are better to shutdown than mesmer.. lol ! crap condi mesmer .. etc )
2- even without thinking about the death clone build, it can be strategically more interesting to make a clone pop during a dodge than no clone at all because there is already 3 of them alive.
If you where saying that a clone will NOT replace a phantasm, but will only replace another clone.. yeah OK this “update” would be smart
but actualy.. its just… [cencored]
Instead of working on that “living world” that no one care about, Anet should really focus more on all class to avoid produce somes kind of unlogical change…

They need to make the game easier to understand and harder to execute in order to get bigger in e-sports. Futball (Soccer) is the worlds most popular sport in large part because it follows the principals of being easy to understand and hard to execute.
In that case go play whatever FPS ? its simple like football.
IMHO, GW2 is actualy not interesting for esport :
Counter solutions are pretty crap ( blind – Weakness – cripple – chilled – immobilize ) they are that random and end that fast, that they are 80% of the time anecdotal
except knockdown, and knockback.
Confusion, except the confusion thief build.. that condition is just.. LOL
Interrupt ( daze ), without seeing foe skill launch bar like GW1, its pretty random, so you cant control what to shutdown when you really need it ( less strategic fights )
What left to that ? direct damage, condition damage, dodge, teleport, stealth, “random” boon spam, pretty hilarious combo to fake a teamplay
Fight are just more or less : the one that deal the more damage before his foe to kill it. /yawn.
The lack of mana usage like in GW1 is finaly more damaging for the gameplay than a good thing.

Its a bit similar as the thief initiative system, that offer more tactical choice. Even if the initiative regain traits are a bit .. bad… to have good control over the “active” regen
Also, to promote Esport, a spvp that only consist of cap altar, where the only “teamplay” is only who go where…
GW1 had a excelent Esport ( a bit wasted by the barbarian Anet skill destroyer update but well )
because : good skill mecanic ( curse, conditions, boons, various correct counter ) MANY possibles builds, demanding teamplay, and that was a real team play, each one a particular role for a good group synergy
Also, gvg / hoh / team arena was far more interesting than this poor gw2 spvp game…
anyways.. Anet could do something really great with GW2 ( since they made GW1 ).. but for the moment, they do not look ready to do that, and look to prefer a second-rate gameplay with too many broken mecanics

I read the OP, i understand many point but for me, instead of the berserker nerf, they should review other stats instead ( or somes gameplay mecanic )
Maybe they should ask themself WHY ppl prefer use a classic direct damage strat, instead of : "hey, everyone use that, lets nerf that to make look others pointless “strat” interesting"
Anyway, instead of doing a “easy” nerf, they should review MANY mecanics side, that just doesnt work as intended
Or just clearly doesnt offer as deepness as the GW1 gameplay was offering.

Well yes GW2 is supposed to be like that because YOUR making it that way. The game is made to be played the way you want to and the way you want to play it is to max min a group it seems. Have you ran into any one who asked that you have ascended gear for a dungeon what about a open world event? Have you ran into any one for wvw?
They do say we make our own hells but i did not think or let say hope it was not so true.
That’s just what GW is not supposed to be : giving stuff advantage over other players. AND not farm, nor grinding
My point is : Ascended gear is quite very long, and expensive to get, not everyone will have ascended stuff, so not everyone will be equal regarding the stat, so not equal regarding “power”
Even if its “only” a 4-6% boot, that’s still a 4-6% too much in a game promoting equality between player ( hardcore player, or casual )
And again I ( personaly, me, myself ) dont imagine that, that’s what GW1 started, and that’s also what GW2 sold.
There is plenty of mmo assuming that kind of grinding gear, and i dont criticism that, i know what to except if i play thoses kind of mmo. BUT i play GW2 BECAUSE Anet said their game will NOT be like thoses mmo.
After, i never spoke about gear segregation, i dont know if it will ever happen, and that’s not the point of my argument.

You can do all you want in this game in exotic gear,or grind and get 4.7% better stats and see it makes almost no different what gear you are using
Its the right build and skills that matter in this game not the gear!!!
Oh yeah ? and what if two ppl have “the right build” and if they both now correctly play their build, what if they duel when one is full exotic, and the other one full ascended ?
One will have " 4.7% " ( if its not more like 5-6% boost ) more chance to win because of that.
Yes, that’s not a lot, but that’s already too important in a game supposed to only reward player intelligence, and not the ability to farm durings weeks to have the right stuff – runes
Actualy, the game only reward hardcore farmer. Where btw, you dont need to use your brain to do that.

Berserker gear Power Precision Crit Damage
Please consider it from a PvE and WvW point of view, in how many 100’s of hours and resources in gold, laurels, possibly real money via gems players have spent getting there berserker gear.
A lot will quit, rather than be forced to make new armour sets/weapons/trinkets and redo there appearance.
Its easy to change gear in PvP.
Very, very hard in PvE and WvW.
that’s why, since a long time ago now i which that we could change stat when we want for exotic and ascended like ppl can do with legendary.
( or have a way to change your actual armor stat for a VERY cheap price. )
No speaking how its awfully insane to grind laurel during weeks to get ascended jewels >.>
Stuff grinding is insane in this game since stat / runes / sigil have nearly WAY more importance than your actual “build”
Give us first a cheap and easy way to manage all stat….

Hello. Since, i leave grind to other mmo like Mike O’brien (President of Arenanet) said, i dont have legendary weapon, nor ascended weapons or armor
But i heard that legendary weapons can swap stats when you are not in combat.
So, why couldnt we have that for exotic / ascended gear too ( armor – weapons – jewels ) ?
because actualy, its a bit irritating, you choose one stat for a build, but you want 2 differents set of runes for somes test, if thoses runes are expensive, you going to have 2 ( or more ) sets of the same stats just because of the runes.
You want play another build ? you need another armor set multiply by the various runes combination.
You can easyly end up with 4-5 armors set…
Same for the weapons because of the sigil.
Multiply that by all the alt you can have… that turn everything just insane.
So please Anet, stop annoye us with that crazy gear rush, and make exotic – ascended gear with a stat swap like the legendary.
Yes, GW2 combat is just VERY basic, you just need to look at all GW1 possibilities to notice that.

Exactly ZERO ! i’am a player that like to change build / do test. ( coming from GW1, not surprising liking change a lot the build ) and since builds are hardly dependent on stuff, and since its already ask quiet many money / time for just one set ( if you dont want play with default ugly stuff ) i see no fr***ing reasons to waste month grinding craft, and tons of moneys and moneys just to have ONE stat set.
Sure, its annoying me not having the best stat in game, so in long therm be weaker tham many others players just because of stat.
But i dont play video games to do ANNOYING things.
( and even if one day Anet only choose to allow you to change ascended stat like you want, i’am not even sure i would waste that many time for a such armor, its too annoying and time consuming )
For me spending month hunting gear to finaly play the game, is not playing and not fun.
Hello, for my war i was trying the first trait in arms, ( it give precision for each unused sign ) but since the stats doesnt change in the hero window i was wondering if this trait really work. If they forget to make the stat update or if it dont give precision ?

BUT in WvW thoses perma thief are just totaly OP
So what i would like to see its, on somes skills of all others class, something that can :
Actualy, ( no speaking of the anti-steath trap or the siege weapon anti stealth ) its the ONLY thing that dont have ANY single counter
Conditions have anti condition, boons have boons remove, damage have block.. etc
But stealth…. nothing !
I agree that thoses skills might be a problem for the mesmer, since the mesmer stealth is far away to be as OP as the thief stealth.
So yeah its should be somes anti-stealth nearly only against thief.
Or just prevent the thief of beeing able to perma stealth. because actualy they are really way to lame with that “ability”

My complain is :
Why the HELL did they move Incendiary Powder to master tier… Its not like the Engi was OP… With all the anti condi in mcm it nearly was the only way to have a decent “burst”
So what ? only now play engi as boring support class… or with the totaly useless turret.. no thanks.
Now choosing a adpet trait in Explosives is more like : ok this one is not the worse, lets take it as default.
I’am sorry, but your update is bad.
next time, just unallow engi from doing any damage, at least it would be clear.

I have a LOT of complain about that part of the game
Let me first say that, there is a lot of good things in GW2, that’s why i spend some time to come post here and hope for a improovement.
I loved GW1 since day one, i played it until somes month after GWEN.
But there is a HUGE problem in GW2 : the GEAR !
You made GW2 to be played a bit like GW1 : Easy to “change” your build and the way you play your character ( and its good )
BUT !
—The gear is to long to get, too expensive, there is soo much gear piece ( not couting weapons ) you have 12 armor pieces ! that’s a LOT
— The build is WAY to much dependant on the Gear.
As exemple, with the exacts sames traits and skills, but just changing the gear, my engineer will have a different “build”
i’am sorry, but it turn that game totaly insane with gear / stats / runes / sigils and all that stuff just to play differents builds, make test, make hibrid.. etc You spend more time running after the gear than playing the game . And it really ( really really ) ruin my gaming experience.
Simple solution :
It will allow everyone to easyly change his builds like we made in GW1 and enjoy the pleasure of making many test and often REALLY changing build
The actual system, stuck a class into one build because its, long, expensive, not interesting to hunt gear durings weeks just to have ONE set. ( and again i prefer play the game instead of wait a month of item farming to finaly be able to play it )
So only one way to play the game = boring game. ( unlike GW1 )
At leastn thoses who like “hunting” gear will do it, for the skin ( like in GW1 )

I really like the fractal system.
BUT
Agony… its like the gear problem. It ask MANY times – money – farm to have agony protection, and worse, you can apply that to ONLY ONE ascended jewels stats.
It mean, if you want change your build ( or play another character ) you have to start ALL over from 0..
its insane !
And worse, the angony system, have nothing to do with gameplay, its just a gear check.
And bit like when you have to pay for a night club entrance… ( you dont pay, you dont farm, you cant play it, even if you are smart enough to manage higher difficulty )
Its only revealing the time and money that the player have spend into that, instead of his talent to manage higher difficulty level…
Agony resistance should be account bounded. ( at see how its awfull to grind that.. )
I could expose way more problem, but if you consider to at least solve thoses issues, the game would be clearly better and more interesting to play, because it would have a way to quit the gear farming.
GW2 actualy fall deep down into hardcore grindfest mmo.. instead of following the GW1 excelent base which was offering interesting gameplay without grind !

1 – No more grindfest to have end game stats like GW1 : cheap buy exotic / ascended stats. all other ways to get stuff would only be about skin !
2- No need to have serveral gears because of stat : you have 1 armor, and you can store stat on it ( rabid.. knight.. berserker.. etc ) so like the runes. And change that in capital – mcm start spawn.
3 – WAY more skill like GW1. Serveral skills per weapons to really creat you own build like GW1.
4 – Stats and traits not linked anymore. like using 30 points for a stats will allow you to choose 3 minors and 1 major adept / Master / GrandMaster
allowing to do better combo.
5 – No more cooldown for weapons switching. that’s pointless and useless. why dont let us switch for just one skill and switch back ?
6 -Reset stat when i want ! And NO i dont want pay irl money for your reset stat item..
7 – PvP ! where are the 4v4 arena ? where are the 4v4 team arena, where is the 8v8 gvg ? there is the Heroes’ Ascent ?
I could find more than 7 points, but that would be a excelent stat to have a more correct game.

yeah this game turn totaly ridiculous regarding gear… so much nonsense all around.
I dont understand, why Anet do not make aviable all stats ?
In pvp i saw the barbarian stats ( power / precision / vita ) but in pve, it doesnt exist and we only have knight stats, and its annoying because that’s the stat i wanted for a build
Of like the celestial stats is only aviable via a particular event, which is very annoying ( or now you can now loose a lot of money at the market )
Is there any particuliar reason for a such annoyance to get the 3 stats you want for you armor ?
Why Anet dont just let us choice the 3 differents stats we want when we choose an armor instead of the current system which is more than annoying.

Be happy ! ascended gear is coming ! you will have to level the craft waste tons of money , farm material during tons of hours and hours, again and again, and again ( and only of ONE stat set )

-random traits change to fake the interest in the core gameplay
- Super Exotic Ascended gear that ask craft lvl 1000 and to have 1 t581 material you have to farm 10000 time a super extra hard dungeon
- More super living story that ask you to do 250464064 time the same thing and you need 200success to have the “super cool” reward : One gold item.
- GuildWars2 change his name into World Of GearGrind 2

Its a long term thing, and the difference is not big enough to make it mandatory to get.

Difference between exotic jewel and ascended one is big enough to be “mandatory” so now, with ascended weapon + armor……
I mean, logicaly ( yes logicaly, because GW2 is became a random gear grinding mmo ) GW is meant to put forward the ability of a player to play smart, and not the “look i have a more powerfull stuff that asked me to farm xxxxx hours” i win.
E.G in WvW if you do a fight against someone in full ascended and if you are full exotic, this personn will still have XX% more chance to win because of a more powerfull stuff.
So the smartest players wont necessary win because his oponent will have a better stuff.
whatever if its only 1% boost or 50% that’s against GW “spirit”
Especialy when they ask you to farm XXXXXX hours, and when you DONT have choice.
So yeah, its mandatory to keep be equal to everyone.
Of course, if a player only do pve, that will not necessary be a issue

No change for me at all. and i correctly setup the cmd..
but yeah, like mtsa said, no matter the fov, the camera is the WORSE camera i ever saw in a game. especialy because it will “hit” every little object in the game who is between the point of view and the character, so you always have fr***ing zoom in.
This just horrific during puzzle jump, when you are inside a building and so.
You should better fix that awfull terribad camera first.

yeah this game turned into a grinding – farming game.
-Get gold – farm
-Get exotique armor – farm ( craft – dungeons – mcm )
-Get exotique weapon – farm
-Get event reward ? – farm
-Change build ? = farm gold + farm total new stuff + weapons..
BORING
Gw1 had only “grind” or “farm” for somes rare skins, except that, it was very easy to do everything without having to grind or farm anything.

Hello, i made the two dragon ball success, but none of them seem to count for the “dragon bash experience” success ? is that normal ? or is that a bug ?
because i made :
-Zhaitaffy eaten
-fireworks
-holographic minions
-Dragon Ball
-Dragon Ball games won
-Ship’s council members met
And i only have 5 over 10 points in the dragon bash experience. ( when another guildmate without the dragon ball success have exactly the sames points )
Thing i dont understand is why Anet didnt make the 1st grenade skill attack like that :
-Held skill key = keep throw grenade like if you were smashing the skill key like anyone have to do actualy

As usual, Anet made a POOR skill update. random touched somes skills, randomly forget others.. etc..
quikness 50% cool, but, the mesmer elite is BAD now, you should have decrease the reload.
Anyway, Anet do a very very very very bad job for the trait / skill update. when basicly the class / skill should be the center of all attention.

i’am saying it since the begining that the GW2 skill system is VERY bad compare to GW1 possibilities and diversity.
NEVER in GW1 you saw some many ppl saying “what next after lvl 20” because you always had new challenge, new discovery because of the skill diversity and build creation.
The dev just made the worse lazy job every for this game for this point.
Anet should delete the mesmer. Its already a broken and bad class compare to the REAL GW1 mesmer.
No speaking of the long list of skill / traits bug never solved.
And, at see the poor control the GW2 mesmer can have, and the poor damage compare to many other class, the player are still complaining…
basicly, the mesmer should be able to create clone, but should NOT do any single damage.

You’re probably hearing the lack of depth from players like me who are coming from GW1. The combat itself is fine but skill choices are extremely limited in comparison, sure the combat is far more exciting than any other MMO (imo) but the lack of skills just makes it boring when I was able to choose from literally hundreds of them, and thousands of different combinations.
Also combat feels more single player than anything without roles, I’m not interrupting casters or snaring melee to protect my backline, it’s every man for himself and sure if you see an AoE on the ground go ahead and drop a finisher but it really doesn’t feel like team work. This is supposed to be an MMO, not a single player RPG.
I would say right now playing GW2 is akin to playing GW1 with a full party of heroes. Feels like no human interaction because it’s all about pewpew and nothing else. Builds, where are they? I had a new saved build every week in GW with a template changer for no cost at all. I could be an assassin with a hammer, a monk with daggers, etc.
The argument really depends on what games you are comparing the combat to. If you ask me, GW2 combat as a whole is crap because the choices you have run out incredibly fast. I’ve been using the same build, same combo, for months now. My only 2 choices are basically pure physical damage or pure condition damage.

its the abandon of the rock paper scissor style really enjoyable into GW1, who miss in that game.
Like, debuff skill – condition removal, are nearly useless because of the short enchant – condition duration.
Interrupt something ? nearly pointless too, daze skill ( owned by all profession ) have to too high reload to be usefull, no skill casting indication = random interrupt
The lack of mana to have a more accurate skill balance between mana cost and reload is a huge lost compare to GW1. Even if on paper it look to be a good idea.
But in reality, it really prevent many in depth settings
So the stats linked to the traits… thats SO limiting.
which i lead to a poor gameplay who only involve into doing the highest damage in the shortest time. With a more than poor build diversity
Also, there isnt anymore class style, they can all damage a lot, all do condition, all melee or distance. Except the breaked mesmer clone, or thief stealth, class dont have anything really special anymore like in GW1
This game is not bad compare to most of the classic mmo, but this game is boring as hell compare to GW1. Just the ability of skill casting during movement give to GW2 a more dynamic fight look, but, its just appearence, Its far away less “dynamic” and tactic that GW1 for the player positioning, importance of dodge.. etc.
The dodge in GW2 is btw totaly bad made
So, Depth of combat, i dont think there is any depth, its just.. common. Nothing really bad so far, but nothing really interesting.

the medium armor are the less awfull in this game.
Light armor are crap and freaking ugly except 2-3set
heavy armor = can of food except 1-2set.
Armor design in GW2 have so far 96% who have a more than ugly design. ( for female )
For me, quit the game because
- Class are boring, No way to create your own build like GW1, you get bored after 3-4hours playing with whatever class
The skill balance team, are the MOST incomptent person i ever see in my life.

——grind for mat to lvl crafting skill, or craft armor – jewel
——Grind dungeon for exotic armor set – exotic weapons, which is MORE than fre*king boring

I never thought that the GW2 “mesmer” ever deserved ONCE his name.
BEFORE the update :
ONLY iberserker HAD a 1-2sec delay before attacking. For me, it was totaly broken.
NONE of the other fantasm HAD DELAY before attacking, or, maybe like 0.25sec, but really not more.
the Skill balance team, is officialy the WORSE i ever see. You would just deserve to be fired since you are unable to make your job. Nothing else.
They DIDNT even fix the iberserk damage problem….
