Dude I couldn’t care less about the season, most people started playing ranked pvp becuz they wanted a silly lookin back piece. I played ranked pvp because that’s all I’ve ever played…but the matchmaking was better back in those days so it was fun for me and I won a lot. But now it’s not fun with the uneven matches so I quit. Sure I was a little upset at first because it was a shock that things changed so drastically that made me not have even or fun matches anymore, lots of people were upset over that and quit the game completely so its understandable. I quickly got over it though and just stopped playing ranked which was really weird at first but the more I got used to not playing it the more ok it felt. But you won’t find any ranting or raging or venting of non existent anger from me…(I save all my raging for more important things like real life) that’s just a troll remark. AND I’m done talking with trolls have a nice day

Oh really, well I don’t know I don’t talk to a lot of internet people. Most of them turn out to be trolls, pathological liars, or schizophrenic so yea my bad. I don’t take back what I said though he really is blabbering.
OR make a new account that has never played pvp before, then you’ll have good mmr which means you get put on the best teams in ranked( if you’re lucky) cuz of the new match making system. Then with a little luck you’ll be farming nooby teams with 1 or 2 vets on them in no time! (ranked atm is all about luck unless they change it before next season) happy hunting

At least i can win in both. The quality overall in unranked is far lower tho, so its a lot less enjoyable. Which is the entire point of this thread.
Matchmaking wasnt that bad in s2….u are just making up excuses. It isnt your poor play thats the issue right?
From my experience, I found Unranked to have better quality than Ranked. The games I had there were fun, close games. In Ranked it was just blowout games. I’d win 8/10 games, so losing wasn’t an issue, but there wasn’t much competition to be had.
Ya unranked does have better quality, I get close matches most of the time there, except when I run into a good premade. Some people just got way to used to farming newby teams with their not so newby teams and now that it’s more challenging they are crying a river. That’s what happens when you hand things to people on a silver platter for free then tell them they have to work for it. I find it hilarious

CAn we have scar pattern armor/outfits like in gw1 and the monk tattoo armor that looks like a loin cloth with tattoos. Most armor in this game is too bulky and concealing . I want to fight like a amazon warrior, without all that bulky constricting stuff slowing me down (also like a lot of other people said, we are over due for some new dance moves so maybe some dance books with gw1 dance moves I loved those dances, my norn dance just makes me want to slap them and tell them to stop)

Rev doesn’t seem very powerful at all to me, I’ve been soloing then with my warrior using nothing but a long bow.

I don’t know, I was never really great with revenant, ( probably becuz it’s new and haven’t really messed around with it much yet in pvp) but I wanted to practice and maybe get better with it but now I can’t it just sucks so bad, so I switched to warrior and haven’t lost one battle yet xD
I love GW1 content. I love GW1. Not a veteran (bought GW1 this year), but it’s so much fun to see how the story unfolds. Looking forward to finishing first campaign and embarking on the others.
Yes you won’t ever find another game as epic as gw1, very interesting and fun story line and pve stuff that makes you just wanna stay awake all night playing so you can see what happens next and see what interesting skills and armor you can find/capture in new places. Playing around with hero’s builds is fun too, they even have armor you can change on the heros if you have the things you need to change it. And the pvp omg the pvp before everyone left and stopped playing it was the most fun amazing pvp ever, I was sooo addicted to it, sometimes I stayed awake all day and night playing it, it was THAT fun. It’s pretty dead right now though so I don’t know if you’ll ever get to experience it. You might get to do some of the elite missions though which are pretty fun if you join an active guild that does that sort of thing and would teach you. And the armor yess the armor is very cool and there’s a large variety of it once you get to the places that sells the cool armor, in eye of the north you have to have a high enough rank in certain titles in order to buy the armor they sell in those places. But yea I love gw1 armor too you can find some very nice sexy/beautiful sets.
I think most people who are complaining are the ones that got teamed in ranked with the best players because of high mmr & against full newbie player teams which they steam rolled and had no kinda challenge, and got a little bit too used to that. Now you can see how it feels to be put with new & not so great players sometimes, its harder to win.
Nonsense and stop feeling sorry for yourself and envious. Those two emotions cause 99% of the world’s problems.
Whoaa now no raging plz, what the heck would I be envious of… I find unranked very easy to win and stress free since there’s newbies and not too experienced players on both sides (most of the time)and not just gathered all up and put on 1 side to fight an entire team of experienced players like in ranked S2. And why would I feel sorry for myself….. I don’t get your unlogical logic. Too many silly accusations. Besides I’m lmao at this entire thread >.< funny stuff. (Oh and I think scientists cause most of the worlds problems with all their filthy toxic disease causing chemicals)
We don´t know if your problems in last season were because of bad matchmaking or your own fault. In my experience most players complaining about bad team-mates weren´t better than them. That may not apply to you.
The matchmaking wasn´t good to begin with in unranked (I wrote it earlier, matchmaking on how many games played is silly).

Without “scientists” we would still sit in our caves. Not me actually, without antibiotica (one of the most important discoverys in medicin history) I probably wouldn´t have survived my first year (Pneumonia). Its not about the inventions, its about how they are used by mostly other people.
Hmm well if you think that I belong on a complete team of noobies in ranked & put against a complete team of non noobies (Which makes no sense since I’ve been playing this crap for 3 years non stop & used to have a pretty high win rate before all the MM changes so I’m definitely not a noobie ) Then I think you deserve to be put on a team of noobies in UNranked & against a highly organized experienced premade. The irony is hilarious >.<
And yea scientists are our worlds biggest problem, they are slowly killing everything and everyone, there’s no way to escape the chemical apocalypse . The world was clean and pure and natural in the beginning then scientists come along and invent chemicals then everything becomes poisoned and toxic. The air the land the water food everything. I don’t think most humans lived in caves in the beginning anyways, I’m sure they were smart enough to make some type of a shelter/home.

These items are inevitable but the occurence will vary. It will either never happen towards a player, or happen often as if the matchmaking universe single you out amongst thousands.
Yup my thoughts exactly, that’s why I want a dark rainstorm mini pet cloud to follow me around over my head. Not only would it be cute but people can see it and be like geeze shes an unlucky one hope I don’t get put on her team…..

I don’t care about Esports….. I didn’t even know that was a thing for people. I just like playing games for fun, if I had a say in it I’d remove Esports and add fun

Honestly, most premades are pretty weak since you’ll generally get matched against teams with 1 or 2 people of your skill level along with their lesser skilled friends.
That’s your experience, in my experience I get matched against very organized premades (usually 5 of them)that have been PVPing forever, and if there’s a couple of people on my team grouped they usually aren’t very organized or experienced. So its always a slaughter fest, which I’m sure the ones being slaughtered aren’t having fun. The premade probably is though if they are anything like the ones commenting/trolling on this thread. So I’ll assume nothing will ever change and this will never be a competitive pvp game that makes any type of sense. That’s why I cut back on my playing time by like 99% which in the end probably will turn out to be a good thing. And I’ll save some money that way

Lets see now, you either failed at reading comprehension or you are trolling. The topic is clearly about solo vs premade. If you want to discuss player skill I suggest you start your own thread instead of baiting people on this one.
I’ll have to back Pepsis up and point out, that Ellie isn’t complaining because she’s a sore loser or anything like that. She’s an experienced Guild Wars player. She’s PvP’d since Gw1 and she didn’t have trouble in PvP, until the the MM changes, putting pre-mades against solo players.
You don’t have to explain anything to this troll, besides I don’t think he has the mental capacity to understand anything you say.

Isn’t hot join still an option? Thought that is where most people ‘tested’ their builds and learned. The point y’all are making is teams should have their own que. It didn’t work before o they fixed it to what it is now. The with wins we had from the above screenshots we started to play against people with better MMR. Clearly the system thought your skill level could handle us but poor communication with your team on rotations lead to that 500-0. Having a team que and solo que along with ranked and unranked would add to many options for queing so the que times would be terrible. You clearly arn’t terrible if we have matched together in the past. Either the system thought you could handle those matches or there weren’t enough people playing. Teams get put into a higher MMR so your solo team must have a better MMR then all of us by ourselves? I get the argument of teams vs solos and how you think they need to be separated but they did that and it didn’t work. So they changed it, combined them, and adjusted the MMR system for it. Add a solution instead of raging please, something new that they havn’t tried.

But there’s a lot of us who don’t enjoy such a system and would like for it to go back to the way it was before when we had fair, even, fun matches. Trade off is queue times. If you limit matchmaking to isolate group queues, everyone waits longer.
I don’t know why people bother commenting without reading the whole conversation first. I played pvp when solo and team queue were separated. I was always a solo player never a team player and MY queue times were very short, usually I got in instantly. So no you are wrong the only people who had long waiting times were team players. Instead of leaving it that way they decide to merge them and create unfair & unfun matches which favor team players and pretty much say kitten you to solo players. And at this point I sound like a broken record repeating the same things over and over cuz people don’t bother reading things first so I’m gonna take a break now. HfTcBai.

If the matchmaking isn’t totally screwed it has some meaning. On the other hand a few matches of some people have no statistical meaning. To be real, people who have bad matches come to the forum complaining, people who have good matches don’t come to the forum to praise anet.
you could have an overall 50% win rate of solos vs 5 mans, with 50% of the games being solo PvP players stomping vs inexperienced 5 man PvE groups, and the other 50% being 5 man ESL pre-mades on TS stomping solo PvP players,
What does that mean for everyone who lose against a non ESL premade?
“good match” what’s your idea of a good match, if it means a match that you have won well I have plenty of those too especially when the opposing team is all solo players & even more when I have a few people on my team that are premade. But its not a fair match which makes it a not so fun match & a this match doesn’t make any sense kinda match. Also tbh you sound like 1 of those people who have a premade team and enjoy farming solo players and don’t want that to change, its ok though, I’m sure it won’t change so don’t worry about it.
