My only complaint is how weak necromancer is because its dps is miles behind every other dps. I mean having no offensive support, but the dps of a support class is kind of dumb.
sword 3/x weapon swap GS 2,4,3 shatters f1 f3 f2
pull it off in a single second….
Sometimes I wonder what version of gw2 all the forum pros are running.
Better suggestion: People ([…]teammates) learn to make use of Blighter`s Boons to its fullest potential
Oh ok.
So basicaly my choice are Revenant
yes.
did you just say necro doesnt have good condi clear? now i know your just straight up lieing. my necro has 3 full condi clears.1 on staff and 2 in skills. super easy to use all of them and 1 of them has no cast time.
Calling somebody a liar and then immediately following that up with spreading misinformation.
Great move 10/10!
shameless advertisement.
It is a L2P issue. Don’t go charging headfirst into melee range in a team fight with no shroud
QFT.
It is more like the opposing team charges headfirst onto the necromancer no matter what range he is at.
If you face people with even half a brain and your team does not babysit you with an ele and/or engineer, you are dead. And the enemy must go through massive aoe spam to even get close to the necro,
No, they just use a teleport.

Isn’kittens dps on the same level as guardian (according to qts dps chart), just that it has assassin’s presence as a bonus? It is certainly better than necromancer, that is pretty much useless. Even clearing adds with epidemic becomes kind of redundant when you run double chrono and therefore have double focus pull anyway.

You could at least get your math straight, because 7ar/5 stats infusions are nowhere near 13g.

If you want people to play as a team, you need to encourage them. Forcing them or putting them at a disadvantage for queuing alone, however, will not encourage them to team up but to leave the game instead.
There was a time when this game had a team queue and this queue was as dead as it can get.
Just no. You are back to trash tier in pve/raids, sorry.
If ele needs a buff because it is team dependent, then reaper also needs a buff. At least ele does not require one of two classes to be more than a corpse.
Even with pet swap there are only about 3-4 different kinds (smokescale, bristleback, spiders and to some extend moas) of pets that are playable because the others deal 0 damage or die in 2 seconds or both.
If you remove pet swap, the pet mechanic will be useless because either you bring a pet that survives but doesn’t do anything (bear) or you bring any of the other pets, which wont last for more than 30 seconds. Not even talking about team fights.
MASSIVELY lowering the pet diversity.
Smokescale + Bristleback – such diversity, very wow.
Watch how gw1 was balancing with pvp and pve aspects.
Did I hear smiter’s boon?
You could have used distortion once you were hit by it. Either before getting pulled to avoid almost all of the damage or before blinking through test of faith or simply not blink through test of faith at all.
You could also have blinked straight away when hit instead of after the pull. That way the link would have broken and he could not have pulled you.

Queuing as a group of 3+ can definitely benefit your winrate. However, the requirement is that your party is trying hard enough aka bring proper builds and classes that synergize with each other.
If all of your premade just queues on their favorite or daily class, or try out builds, you might accomplish the opposite.
That doesn’t change though, that queuing as team can be used to gain a massive advantage over solo players.
Or that the link can be broken by moving out of range and that stability or invulnerable can be used to avoid the pull. Or that the skill only deals around ~2k damage on Marauder amulet even if the link is not broken.
plot twist: it is a utility skill like thief steal, not a damage skill like warrior f1.
Considering there’s an actual definition of utility skill, slot skills 6-10, you might wanna rephrase. SoJ is a profession mechanic, not a utility. Yes, Warrior F1 does more damage on some weapons, but overall it is much more difficult to land and requires a chargeup. Steal should not have even entered the discussion as Thieves are barely in the meta (meaning they need OP prof mechanics to be relevant) and DH are on top (meaning they do not need OP prof mechanics).
Yes, leave thief out of the discussion because its barely part of the meta. Remind me again of the representation of warrior at the last wts.

If core nec: d/wh+focus
If reaper: d/wh+gs
If you actually care about dps: no power necro/reaper.
The problem is that hitting a relevant amount of melee attacks is hard, when you have base movement speed or 25% ims while everyone else has perma swiftness. Yes, even with 2 ports and a leap.
As a bruiser it is worse than druid, scrapper, rev.
Asa roamer it is worse than rev, thief, mes.
As a team fight support its worse than ele.
As an offensive team fighter it is worse than reaper.
At rezzing it is worse than scrapper, druid.
At filling multiple roles, it is worse than rev, druid.
I think healing is fine and so is damage.
The amount of dodges however, is not fine. That also goes for other classes like rev though. Staff3 as well as s/d evades could need a cool down increase, just increase the damage on s/d evades accordingly, so that the effect remains the same outside of the evade.
S/d alone provides more than twice the amount of dodges, that basic endurance regen does and druid also has 12/15 (realistically 12 out of 16-17 though) seconds vigor on top of that.Meta build does not have WS. no endurance trait. Is this the 6/6/6/6/6 build?
Dagger is only taken for the evade. 5 is meh, and you wanna nerf that weapon set? Buff 5 to be AoE then.
Stop acting smart, because all you do is look silly. This is the standard druid, bm, nm build. You get vigor from nm. Nowhere did I mention an “endurance trait”
warhorn. it is used in all game modes and both power and condition builds.
Generally I consider nevermore the best legendary but you shouldn’t be using staff on pve necro.

judge’s intervention cannot be used mid air anymore. It is intended.
You cannot remove 1 pet from druid without entirely killing the pet mechanic. There are already only very few usable pets because the others die so quickly that you cannot even keep them alive with pet swap. Without pets swap, druid would pretty much use a major part of the class within the first moments of every fight.
Necro needs cd reduction on shroud 4+5, Guard needs cd reduction on core virtues, because they are weaker than dh virtues but have higher cd, which is silly.
(edited by Erzian.5218)
The air of the conversation is that Druid is some god tier, unbeatable class, and I’m informing people that balance isn’t out of whack
Although I think druid and rev could need minor nerfs, I agree on that balance is ok overall. I actually think it is the best state of balance that gw2 ever had.
that the matchup is being won because of player skill, and not because of poor balance.
At some point that message got lost between all of the people attacking me for suggesting that people are better and outplaying their opponents on Druid, as opposed to DHs lacking the capability to kill Druids, which they do not.
I disagree here, DH cannot kill druid (the meta bunker build), unless we are talking about sapphire players or something. Druid does not need to outplay dh in any way to survive and will eventually kill the dh. The exception is, if the dh is on mender but even then the dh has to play a lot better than the druid to stalemate the fight. (Druid has an easier time because their damage is more reliable and their sustain/healing is higher, so they can afford to “waste” more defensive cds without dying because of it)
Oh ok so pro league players do not have MMR when they play ranked. That’s new to me.
Sorry I am not familiar with NA players. Maybe he is not the mechanically best dh in the game, but nonetheless he is the only person who qualified for WTS and dared to bring a dh. I am pretty sure he is not entirely clueless and he does make some valid points.
Perhaps you should claim less bullkitten and get better on your druid instead, so you don’t have trouble staying alive vs Dhs anymore
The only reason people think DH has zero kill potential is because its fotm and 99% of the ingame player base only knows how to blow all their cooldowns at one go regardless of who or what they are fighting.
.
Sorry I could not find any better DHs than pro league players, guess they are somewhere hidden in the low mmr
edit: I’ll just put this here.
m00’bs perspective on the topic:
The main issue with guard at top level is that it can’t kill bunkers (druid engi ele retri rev). A rule of thumb for guard is the longer the fight takes the worse it is for the guard.
[…]
Furthermore if you were going to group the invo rev and DH together it forces your team to basically RELY on that matchup to be won. We did this during worlds and we won our initial matchups until Denial decided to just let ROM run away from our 2v1 and not equalize with rotations. So basically when ROM saw rev+DH he just kited until one of them left, because the guard doesn’t have enough pressure to quickly kill something off node (or ever tbh).
[…]

Its from a thread in the guardian subforum.

Pretty sure dh has about 0 kill potential vs druid and warrior vs druid is dependent on whether the druid player can reliably dodge skull grinders or not.
Druid definitely is the best 1v1 build atm. It has some stalemates but on paper it actually does not have an unfavorable match up. In practice, warrior forces you off point and full cap if you cannot dodge skull grinders (but that is a ping or l2p issue).
Ele still is a lot better than dh in high mmr games. I don’t know what you are up to.
DH is my favorite class to play against by far and the one I do not want to have on my team, especially given how prevalent druids and revenants are.

How to use reaper greatsword in any game mode: Don’t use great sword.
I am pretty sure that, at esl level, the class suffers from the very same problems that warrior suffers from. It’s damage is very easy to counterplay, while its defensive cool downs are (too) high and the mobility (especially to disengage) is low.
Just go full nomads, durability runes, staff+sword/warhorn/something; Take druid, nature magic, skirmishing and stick with the melee train.
Can also take marksmanship for more stability but the passive signet proc often bugs with avatar so that you end up stuck in the avatar model which is really annoying.
You will still have the problem that half of your traits are bad because you pet is never alive.
(edited by Erzian.5218)
Pets as Wyverns also need better balance, most good pets for use are birds, felines, canines, drakes, and smokescale Bristleback ….. druids to me do not need nerf, and I ranger set and so I say, druids are not op.
From my experience the only playable pets in pvp are smoke scale, bristleback and spiders. Everything else either deals no damage or is always dead.
Wolf + birds used to be ‘good’ before hot, but due to all the power creep they just die from cleave damage within seconds.
He barely attacks compared to before
Druid is already at the bottom when it comes to damage. I fail to understand why anyone would want them to lose even more damage.
Bloomhunger will only cast Poison Rain when vulnerable.
Bloomhunger will not use Pound and Poison Rain back-to-back.
The hit box for Bloomhunger’s charge attacks has been shrunk to more accurately match his model.
Champion oakhearts no longer have Spirit Ward.
Stun duration has been doubled when breaking Bloomhunger’s defiance bar.
The frequency of some of Bloomhunger’s attacks has been slightly reduced.
The knockback from Bloomhunger’s basic swipe attack has been removed.
Bloomhunger will not become invulnerable while he is stunned from breaking his defiance bar.
Bloomhunger will now teleport to the middle for the massive attack phase.
Massive attack charge time has been increased by 4 seconds.
Bloomhunger’s poison Shoot attack projectiles have slower velocity.
Bloomhunger’s Poison Rain projectiles have slightly slower velocity.
Increased the brightness of the center circle for Bloomhunger’s ground-pound attack.
The number of poison stacks applied by the poison blooms has been reduced, but the duration has been slightly increased.
The outer ring of blooms will only spawn during the final phase.
The cripple scaling on traps has been reduced.
Thanks for making this boss, a complete joke again. Might as well bring back the old bloom hunger at that point.
I honestly don’t understand why we have different tiers of fractals if the goal is to make the highest tier super casual anyway. I guess the people enjoy content where you actually have to dodge and think are only allowed to have fun once a week for 2-3 hours.
I did lvl 84 earier today and I actually enjoyed it because – unlike most other fractals – it didn’t feel like a complete joke compared to pre-HoT fractals.
edit: team: tempest, tempest, engi (who hasn’t for a long time) , necro, druid.

~110g for a weapon skin is totally fine.
Bug even exists in pve
The moment you realize that Fractals now (roll face across the keyboard on reaper) yield 16x the rewards (in terms of pristine relics) of what fractals did back then when you actually had to think a little bit. Kind of sad.

I am not sure how to 1v1 a warrior.
But I do know that you want to avoid 1v1’s in general. Because a necro caught up in a 1v1 is such a juicy target to +1.
and loses vs most other meta builds either way
and I thought I was lagging that badly
Can’t wait to see all the “high damage, high mobility” core ranger that will be unable to kill anything because they are playing the worst class in the game.
I think anet misspelled “complete garbage that has never been competitive” there.
Necro builds seem not perfect but reasonable. Haven’t checked other classes.
That has to be the least important gw2 issue I have ever heard of. Even spending a single second on it, would be a massive waste of time.
A [..] good necro [..] will take one out 1v1.
No.
Please stop spreading this lie.
