Power necro is bad because the power weapons are bad/low damage. If you want to kill anything on power nec, you need to play full offensive (zerk or at least marauder), but the class does not offer the required means of active defense that is needed to support those amulets.
As a result you are forced into condition unless you want to run some build, that is heavily disadvantaged vs everything. However, necro still has more variety when it comes to builds than other classes. corruption reaper, signet reaper and core necro (signets or corrupt boon) are all somewhat viable.

both, rev and druid should beat necro/reaper in 1v1. Rev needs to watch out to not tank too many skills, but druid beats reaper even if he tanks pretty much everything. All you have to do is use your avatar cleanse properly and kite. Assuming meta builds, druid is pretty much the hardest reaper counter.

Glass druid is simply a bad revenant/daredevil/chronomancer/scrapper. There is no reason to play one except your love for the class, because there are plenty of better buildsavailable. Arguing that it beats a core class (or other bad builds for that matter) is silly, because the requirement for a build to be good, is being able to compete with multiple of best builds, not being favored vs a single good build or many bad builds.
E.g. Core ranger wins 100:0 vs core necro, but core necro is still a much better build over all, because it doesn’t get completely annihilated by the other 8 of 9 classes.

Nonetheless, druid is one of the best roamers in WvW, but it also one of the most unpopular choices for large scale fights. It is actually similar to thief and mesmer in that regard. Both of which have advantages and disadvantages compared to druid). Rev is also a great class for both bigger fights and 1v1, but it has a bad thief and an even worse chrono match up, which makes it a bad choice for roaming (+it has a higher entry level than the three others as it has no stealth). I am not sure where scapper is after the nerfs but it is probably pretty strong as well.

To be fair, thief vs bunker druid is a tough match up for the thief (it is not impossible but a lot of things have to go right in your way, especially the hit and run tactic that falls rolls many other builds, is weak vs druid). Bunker druid excels at 1v1 but is on the weaker end in big fights. Glassy druid builds, on the other hand, are generally part of the weaker builds.
However, overall the game is currently probably in the most balanced state since its release. Minor ele buff and minor rev nerfs would be justified but apart from that, balance is really good.

Or change the number of affected targets for unique class buffs to 10.

Timers are so lenient, that you don’t need to run double druid either way, but can bring a 2nd healer or more dps. In my guild, we ran only 1 druid for some time (until the release of wing 2). If you want to optimize dps in your party, there will always be 1 best party setting unless 2 classes are exactly the same at which point one of them is redundant.

The game is not balanced around 1v1, there is no point in supporting a 1v1 scene. Solo queue helps motivating solo players to play pvp but something that is actually missing is a something that encourages competitive team play, because solo queue doesn’t necessarily build a competitive scene.
We had daily automated tournaments in gw1 that were very cheap (basically free tbh) to enter, where every guild that had a minimum of 4 (later on it was decreased to two) players who had been in guild for 1 or 2 weeks (I don’t remember) who could sign up, play the tournament and get ingame rewards. No external registration crap or high entree fees (like paid tournaments that required gemstore items to register). Just sign up, play and get rewards.
So why can’t we have a number of daily tournaments in gw2, where guild teams of 5 players can sign up and play. At the end of the tournament every team who finished (=played all matches) gets rewards based on the final standings. Handing out rewards from first to last place according to the placement, should encourage more casual players to compete, as it means that they don’t play for nothing.
Or you know, just copy the whole gw1 gvg system, with daily ats and mats. It was great. Just replace the gold, silver and bronze trims with the name badges or come up with something cool (read: Not ugly flags that you can put on your back).

Currently there is just 0 reason for new teams to form and play, as there is no environment that supports you. You cannot participate in any tournaments without qualifying, there are no teams to practice against and there are no rewards unless you are one of the top teams. Even when there had been weekly esl tournaments, people were not motivated because they could not get much unless the were part of a top team. I have played a few esl weeklies and won some gems but as a new team, your hope was basically to beat other bad/mediocre teams and sneak your way into the finals to get obliterated by the current top guild (at my time that was cheese mode) and go home with some gems. If you leave empty handed in most cases, while you cannot even register ingame, have to use an external website to play (read: effort) and don’t even necessarily get to play more than 2 games, you will stop playing rather quickly.

It kind of confuses me though, that you put season 4 over season1, since you could at least cheat the system for easy matches in season 1.

Kind of says a lot that my account with worst winrate (<40% ranked) actually reached legendary already – fastest yet for me.

While my account with >70% winrate hasnt even made it out of sapphire yet.

I mean… I didnt quite realize that my performance is accountbound. /sarcasm

You can be sarcastic all you want, but your post simply shows that you do not understand the concepts of match making and mmr/elo.
It is especially silly, when you tell others that they are bad but then you tell us that you cannot get out of sapphire on your high win rate account. Perhaps it is related to inflated mmr from seasons 2+3.

rev is the only class whose representation in all major tournaments since hot is 100% as in every team has 1 (and I am sure they would have 2 if class stacking was allowed). It is also one of the classes that have not been directly nerfed in the last balance update while other contenders (scrapper/druid) were nerfed.

What I wanted to say is that gw1 maps had more than 1 “lane” for a reason. By having only 1 lane, the gameplay becomes too simplistic.
Conquest has 4 objectives (3nodes+secondary mechanic) and 5 characters is enough to cover that.
Popular mobas have the same team size as gw2 and have 3 lanes + secondary objectives (jungle camps, baron and dragon in lol, roshan and ancients in dota2).
It should therefore be possible to cover 2 lanes that lead to the same objective with 5 players.

You can’t evade, block, or otherwise mitigate the damage from conditions without outright removing the conditions, or gaining Resistance. Physical damage can be evaded, blinded, invulned through, ect so it makes sense that Protection is 33% reduction.

hold on no it’s not I can tank 3 scrubs on a paladin dragon hunter with 0 healing power, on a chronomancer , a MM reaper, a druid with paladin by going stealth/evade frame…

Perhaps you can get out of that amber division in the upcoming season because neither paladin dh, nor mm reaper, nor paladin druid can even sustain against 1 meta build played by a competent player.
And please stop your complaint about low damage based on damage coefficients because it is embarrassing and wrong on so many levels. Ele has neither particularly low coefficients e.g. dagger auto has one of the highest coefficients among all auto attack skills, nor low damage in general. On the other hand druid staff auto has probably (not entirely sure as I can’t be bothered to check all of them but 0.3 is lower than scepter air in ele which is deemed awful) the lowest coefficient of all auto attacks and is still one of the best ranged auto attacks. Damage coefficient numbers don’t directly translate into damage (as the ones provided on wiki do not take casting time into account) and marauder ele damage is pretty good. The issue is how quickly marauder ele dies.

I am not saying that ele is in a great spot, but the majority of your complaints/arguments are not justified and every idiot can easily look up numbers and prove you wrong.

Meanwhile you are getting random damage from sigil procs on crit/weapon swap and rely on rng when it comes to removing boons/conditions.

Yes, I am sure you should desperately try to improve match making and not skill/class design. Not like bad matches happen in about every successful video game, but people keep playing because the gameplay is fun and engaging.

edit: don’t get me wrong season 3 match making was horrible but even the best matchmaking wont make interesting games if the player base is too small because the game mode is not fun.

Yes, I remember waiting for for 15 minutes between every match to face the exact team that i faced before, with the occasional 5minute queue in between to face a team that consisted of a 2 or 3 men stack and 2-3 solo players who accidentally queued in the wrong arena or something.
The system was probably still better though as it only sucked for teams, whereas the current system sucks for both teams (who actually care about having a good match and not about farming randoms) and solo players.

sword is solely defensive, although 1 has the best auto attack dps (which is still utter trash compared to other classes) the other 2 skills are defensive. Offhand axe is offensive, dagger is defensive and warhorn is supposedly utility except that the utility is lackluster.
Gs is pretty much 1 skill for mobility, 1 skill that never hits, 1 block that sucks vs more than 1 opponent, a horrible auto attack and a damage skill that deals no damage. It is good in 0 game modes.

Pro league doesn’t allow class stacking, so you can have superior and inferior classes and the inferior ones will still see play as long as the number of superior classes is smaller than five.
Druid is probably somewhere in the middle of the inferior classes, which don’t differ all that much from each other in terms of power level, so they are all “viable” (except dragon hunter, who is at the bottom)

Personally I think if there is an issue, it simply comes down to numbers: cool down, amount of stacks and duration; there are plenty of condition skills that are actually pretty weak. If you think about it, the only classes that have strong condition builds are warrior, mesmer and necro. That is 33%. Everything else is better off with power in pvp and the difference between condition and power warrior isn’t too big I’d guess (not sure though as I don’t play warrior). I am pretty sure the current condition classes would also prefer power if they had the option, but power nec is terrible ever since and power mes is inferior to condition mes in every aspect.

Your pvp is already almost dead, you need to wake up and change things. This match making will make the few people that are left quit.
Literally all your good players seem to have already changed to private matches on rom’s custom arena because “join random team” makes better/fairer matches than your match making.

Yes, I totally won that game because I played so well and because of this awesome and totally not useless build; not because the teams were so uneven that I didn’t even matter. These teams should totally be matched against each other :^)

Idk I played plenty of games where I had literally 0 impact. I played matches in which I played 1v2 for 60%+ of the match without taking a single death and still lost 100 to 500 and I have also played many games where I capped close at the start and went afk on it as my team had already wiped mid and far resulting in a 500 to ~50 match. Judging from the few streams that are available and reports from people on my friend list, I am not the only experiencing this.
I have to admit this was in legend but I can imagine that sapphire/ruby/diamond matches are the same.

Why should people watch something that is not even fun to play? The last time I tried to watch a gw2 pvp stream, the streamer who is or was apparently rank 1 in eu spent around 2/3 of the game sitting at/running around the clock tower while winning 500 to ~100. He could most likely have been afk in base all game and the outcome of the match would be the same because of how uneven the teams were.
Why would anyone want to watch that? Might as well watch paint dry or grass grow.

Apart from gliding, it is mostly about positioning yourself properly, pulling (and killing) the adds and clearing the blood stone shards. While I think 2 druids make the fight easier, just make sure your druid port immediately at 40%/20% if he gets ported and you have only a single one.

You have a pretty interesting position, “you arguments are not arguments, now here is my opinion and prove it wrong”.

Except that I and others have provided evidence (an official source, math and facts, which you can check by simply logging onto the game and looking them up or on wiki. There is a difference between a false claim and an argument, which is backed up by official sources, maths and can be checked by literally everyone who is playing the game and owns 20 copper to unlock the watch work portal device recipe. It has absolutely nothing to do with personal opinion or taste.

30minutes CD were added because of server performance, I even provided you with a link to an official post stating it.
I can only do so much; I gave you the results of the needed calculations, linked an official response from arenanet employees, explaining the addition of a high cd on other items. Other people have provided you with the maths as well, have explained to you why your harpy feather argument is wrong and pointed out countless times that there is already a better portal device in the game, which does not have any harmful impact on the game.
Absolutely nobody can comprehend it for you, we can point it out. If you still cannot see it because you are too stubborn or simply not intelligent enough to make use of official sources and a calculator, we cannot help you.
If you don’t want the item to be improved for whatever reason that is totally fine, but if you continuously make false arguments people will point it out.

So far you have literally brought up a total of ZERO reasons why 30minute is appropriate, if you consider the items (and their prices) that are currently in the game as well as the current state of balance of the different classes and their roles.
Most of the things don’t even have anything to do with personal opinion but are simply facts/maths.

Yes, now read the two posts that you quoted again. It is still about performance and that they decided to not re-balance them. The “balance” changes that they made were literally do prevent/stop abuse but nobody in here is asking for a 0 cd portal or stronger version of portal, people asking for something that is still considerably worse than mesmer portal and has more cd. Once again your argument is inappropriate and completely useless.
People make arguments for a 5minute cd version and then you come and make arguments against a 0 cd cool down version. What is the point of that? It doesn’t make sense.

Have you ever made an informed argument? 30min cd on ogre pet whistle as well as fire elemental powder was solely for server performance reason NOT balance. It had absolutely nothing to do with them being too powerful or mirroring a class skill.

The decision to throw cooldowns on them were for server performance/stability as the patch notes said, not for balance. Period. This was something that was long overdue.

Think of it this way: Between the embers and whistle, those items were effectively doubling/tripling the amount of players active in a map.

If the portal device has its cd for server performance reasons, too, ok so be it. That would be a reasonable argument but they should reduce the price then.
