Mounts are already in Guild Wars 2 example of these are brooms. I would say airships in Guild Wars 2 are flying mounts.

@Stand The Wall.6987 Player Housing and Guild Halls are somethings that we look forward to. They will definitely come to Guild Wars 2 as Colin Johanson said on PAX, they are being developed.

The story would be anti-climactic if we used the Pact Megalaser or the Searing Cauldron to decimate the Tower of Nightmares. Also note that the tower was coated by veil, it is probably coated by feedback as well – we may not want to use projectiles.

It would be nice if Arena Net put anti-zerg monsters similar those that are in Temple of Lyssa and Temple of Grenth if they plan to turn the entire tower to an open world. People begging to be resuscitated are hilarious.

I hope all the dungeons they made for the past Living Worlds were not completely deleted. I want to replay them.

Who is forcing you to grind through achievement points? No person other than yourself.

Cheapest and best way to increase luck that I know is to first farm lots and lots of champion boxes, then open the champion boxes, salvage all the greens that will come out, craft the essence of lucks to exotic quality, and spam click all the exotic essence of lucks.

I currently have 164% magic find. I farmed champions endlessly for my legendary weapon. I got tons of essence of luck for salvaging (I use Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic which can be bought from gem store) green items that I get from champion boxes. I’m not going to try to 300% magic find just yet. Farming is way too exhausting. Well, that is how you increase your luck and magic find cheapest and the best way I guess.

Here it is obvious that the problem should be solved at the other end. Game sorely lacking roleplay. It promised a lot, but in fact it is almost non. Personally, I can remember only 2-3 variants of Serious town clothing, so hardly imagine a serious roleplay with it. I devs should steal a few ideas from LotRO.

Not sorely lacking roleplaying to be honest. Guest to Tarnished Coast or Piken Square then head to Divinity’s Reach. Emotes will flood your chat. There are also bards playing flute, choir bell, and marriner horns. Sometimes when I’m lucky people will tip me 10 gold coins for requests.

Edit: Also in my server Blackgate at Lion’s Arch there is a bit of roleplaying but no emotes just chat and actions.

I visited Mai Trinn’s cell in Lion’s Arch and suddenly a creepy music box began playing in the background. Sometimes the Dragon Bash theme will also play.

Town clothes are all over roleplaying servers (Tarnished Coast-NA ; Piken Square-EU). I roleplay as a bard and I see a lot of players in their town clothes. I play different in-game musical instruments at inns.

Arena Net has modified several world bosses and made them slightly more difficult than they once were. Fire Elemental is a pain especially for melees. To be honest, I wish we can fail these events and get better rewards for completing them.

There had been an hour long lore discussion in Blackgate Lion’s Arch about Ceara also known as Scarlet Briar. People think back in Omadd’s Laboratory, Scarlet saw that the Sylvari and the Pale Tree seed were actually from Mordremoth, the jungle Elder Dragon (Ronan found the seed from a cavern protected by plant monsters). The only reason that there are good Sylvari is because of the Ventari’s Tablet.

Oh I wish we can customize our armor and weapons in Guild Wars 2 like in APB.

I do agree with you op. LS is slowly reverting to the traditional MMO quests. Even one of the Tower of Nightmares achievements is asking to kill 100 Toxic Alliance members which is optional but people have nothing else to do anyways. Achievements would have been fun to get through difficult content just like in Tequatl the Rising and Queen’s Gauntlet.

Next alliance has humans, dwarfs, gnomes, elves, manbeargoats, werewolves, and pandas.

I got my Toxic Spore Cleanser achievement. I’ll tell everyone how. In the centaur camp west of Kessex Hills, one of the three Veterans will have 1 Toxic buff (must complete the meta-events). Next one is at Meadows Waypoint, there is 50/50 chance that the champion will have Toxic buff. Other one is at Overlord Waypoint there is also a 50/50 chance that champion will have buff. Last one is just north of Auld Red Wharf (also 50/50 chance). Sometimes the Centaur Overlord will have toxic buff as well.

You can start from Overlord Waypoint, then after the champion spawned there. Pay attention to Meadows Waypoint, when it becomes contested go to Fort Salma Waypoint and head east. Standing by Overlord Waypoint allows you to keep tabs of the centaur meta-events, as I said one of the three Veteran Centaurs will have the toxic buff. And you’d be lucky when the Champion Centaur Overlord has toxic buff.

The dynamic events in Kessex Hills for Tower of Nightmares are way too easy and facerolly because of zerging. It’s like we will never fail to escort a vigil siegemaster, etc. We need lethal mobs that has similar abilities as Champion Risen Abomination or Champion Corrupted Illusion to make the dynamic events more interesting. Please adjust the difficulty on future Living World.

Exploration keeps me playing although I have achieved 100% World Completion. I had always had my camera angle down and I never saw much the beauty of Tyria. I like the minor details they placed in the game. I also did not know that the Mad King’s moon is visible from Lion’s Arch during Halloween.

I was strolling across Gendarran Fields. Across the bridge there was an asura lying on the ground, struggling against a moa. I rushed in and swung my greatsword at the nape of it. The asura stood up and ran north towards Ascalon Settlement. The asura did not thank me yet I felt heroic.

I agree with the OP. Other cities should have the same stuff in Lion’s Arch like: Mystic Forge, portals to the Mists, and should also celebrate Halloween & Wintersday, etc. We should more reasons to come back often to our home cities.

At the moment the best way to farm gold is head to Frostgorge Sound and kill Champions. If you are not from Blackgate you can guest there, the champions die really quick in Frostgorge Sound.

The Living World must be a permanent addition in the game. It must pile up after the Personal Story. Start it from the Lost Shores. Players must be able to do all the pre-existing Living Stories and repeat them at their own leisure. And if I were a developer and saw my content to last merely two weeks then disappeared completely from the game, I would be upset. Please ask the Living World developers their honest opinions after their content is completely removed from the game after two weeks and thrown into archive, you will know how some of the players feel about the Living Story.

The world of Tyria should change constantly as well as we seen in Kessex Hills. That is a great example of a living and breathing world. You guys should put more of that in Guild Wars 2 despite of it not being released in the next two weeks. There will be a lot of speculations and theories to talk about in the forums and in the game. But, if the trees at Viathan Lake in Kessex Hills were to grow after the Tower of Nightmares, that is not how the Living World should be; there should be an event where people have to remove the stumps around the lake and plant new trees.

The Living World should also continue the story that was left in Guild Wars 1. We would like to know about Livia’s whereabouts. Where is Lazarus the Dire? Will we ever visit the Wizard’s Tower and speak with Igarren? Guild Wars 2 may never have an expansion but “According to Jeff Grubb, the bloodstones’ fate will not be revealed in the initial release of Guild Wars 2, but may ‘have an influence in future expansions.’ " Will we ever know the fate of the Bloodstones in Guild Wars? And there several more posted on this thread. The Living World just does not give it all, it is kitten. Plus there is a sylvari lady slowly ruining the lore of Guild Wars.

In Guild Wars 1, my character felt heroic because I became ascended and ultimately felt responsible for unleashing the titans. I want my feelings to be swayed again. Seeing Gwen Thackeray grow up was beautiful. We want those wonderful and epic moments in Guild Wars 2. And some of us don’t like how apparently a cackling sylvari lady is behind all the uprising of the Molten Alliance and Aetherblade Pirates. So really where are the Elder Dragons? The last Elder Dragon fight was underwhelming in my opinion, kill minions, and sit on turrets and spam #2.

The Living World must be about Elder Dragons and not petty Tyrian affairs. The story of Guild Wars 2 must be darker because the Elder Dragons are slowly closing in. Tyrians should not held parties in the hour of their imminent extinction. And nothing has change much in Tyria. Past Living World content just popped like a bubble.
