So I have done a clean windows install – logged into my account on GW2 home page, downloaded the client I then run it, it downloaded a small piece of data and then it just minimized it self. it is not downloading and when I hover over gw2 in the tool bar it shows nothing. any ideas ?

Ok i am sorry for this guy’s. i have just been playing around the build editor and i come up with this build (armor/gear) this will be for my guild raid in wvw.

I have left the last utility skill blank as i am not sure which to use (last slot is always the hardest to decide lol) – would any 1 else run such armor stats and runes ? i am normally running pvt stuff atm and i fell with at least 24k with stacks and wvw buff the pvt is kind of wasted (just my opinion)

Hi all. I am due for a reformat on my system and the last time i installed windows was by nicking my brothers disk. i have no OS at hand as yet so i will have to buy 1 my self. is there any difference’s between windows 7 and 8?

it’s not my network, everything works fine, pings fine.

I suggest you run full dire with 0/0/30/20/20. Dire weapons, trinkets, and utilities as:
6. Withdraw
7: any stealth skill
8: spider venom
9: caltrops/speed signet
0: anything really, most are good
Been running this build for about a year maybe more, and I love it. It is fun in WvW and if you run with organized dungeon groups, it is very effective. You come out to about 20k health 3k armor and 1,4 k Condi damage, then add food for somewhere close to 2k Condi damage.

sounds like a plan for my next armor set what will the weapons be, i assume p/d ?

Sorry, i did not make my self clear enough. This build was only shown for the gear and equipment, and i did not add any utilities for that reason. This will be for wvw yes, but not solo, more aimed at with friends and guildys.

Sorry for the misleading on traits i just put in any random trait just to get +30 in the tree so i could see my attributes stats, but will mainly be focused on D/D

I was just reassuring my self that this is the right gear/equipment to use or if not, you guys could steer me in the right direction of what gear to use. – and yes i will use fire sigil instead of air

i have tried to get as much as i can from every stats i can get (i could get more from runes i know but i like the speed budd)

I am still having this problem, this is week 2 from 19:00-late hours i can not log on to gw2 because of this distinction error. i have had a quick browze of the forums and this has seemed to be happening for the last 7 months! is there a fix for this ?

I have been doing stuff solo fine, but when i come in to karma trains and or massed grp events then i lag out and it takes a very long time to get back in. this is perhaps 1 of the weirdest type of lag i have even seen. solo story modes are fine but even doing a dungeon will lag out.

it is, this kinda stuff also happened on gw1 too. some isp’s were fine where as others were not, then it would change sides…

I see. so yeah, i will look into an upgrade later depending on what deals come up. I may just use this old rig as a mdeia system it cost me too much just to throw it away on ebay and it has been 1 of the most stable systems i have seen (not the fastest)

sounds good to me i was thinking of going down the core 2 extreme root but not if they are that high priced. i built this system a very long time ago and i dont really want to just replace it

really? i hear people hitting 40+ fps close to being maxed out in zerg fights. i am not going to bother to spend £400 for only a few fps gain if that is the case then

hello! i have decided it is time to upgrade from my LG 755 x48 chipset motherboard combo to an up to date – i5 or i7 platform. this mainboard has served me well for the last 6 years and i plan to remake my current system as a median rig, how ever. I want to upgrade because my current system does not like and or does not handle mass wvw zerg fight’s, even at “best peformance” i manage to get 12 fps! it is very hard to see where the leader is and or going because of the random character (friendly/enemy swapping @ lowest model quantity setting). i am not too fussed about maxed out settings infact, i want to avoid that for wvw. but what i want is a good solid medium settings with a high frame rate. my budgest is at £600 max and all i need is mobo/cpu/ram combo. I have a gfx card that i am happy with in pve/dungeons. can any 1 suggest a good combo – mobo/cpu/ram (i prefer intel) please
