There are better games that specialize on body parts. I am male irl, I have 3 human females and 6 males and I think that the females look fine (may be too fit) but fine. Males look fine too although you can make a fat norn but not a fat human.

Thief is my main and although they are not in a good spot, I still play it regardless. I have everything else geared and max lvl so I just them for things like raids. Pvp is hit and miss, I guess it depends on your MMR. I only play solo unranked q and I am having a lot of fun and able to play with out people sulking because they have a thief on their team.
If you find thief fun to play, then play it and ignore what others say

StrongHold is probably the only map a thief player can actually have fun and do its thing where as conquest the nodes are normally to aoe heavy. Shame it’s gonna take a week….

I have done a lot of Teq farming too. 5 hoards, 3 armor chests and 1 weapon. All I am intrested in though is the hoards.

Well unless I got very lucky and synced every flanking strike before the aa dmg, because I was able to do this for an hour strait on different maps vs different mobs. Tonight is pvp night so i try again there.
But flanking strike needs to override aa tbh.

Has anyone noticed how responsive flanking strike (sword #3) is now? I was able to use this with a 99% chance to override the aa chain meaning it’s pretty dam quick. Although I was only in pve the times that I had to dodge for instant evade I was able to use flanking strike instead.
Anyone else noticed this?

1v1 against a door maybe. It’s only good in WvW if you’re alone… running in empty space. Otherwise, any other class is a better bet now.
Really? Cuz I rarely lose a 1v1 on my Daredevil and my MMR is high enough to get matched against Chaith and Caed. So unless by some cosmic coincidence every single enemy I’ve killed on DD is bad, I doubt DD is only good for door dueling.
Daredevil isn’t as amazing as other specs but it still has its merits, budd. But I do think that Daredevil doesn’t bring much to team fights so yeah other classes are better than it in high tier pvp.
Thief never realy did, did it? Unless venom share. The only thing thief ever really did to a team fight was to gank said low enemy target or sr rez, even that is kinds risky now.
Had this same augment with a guildy the other day he was like " you can’t beat anyone 1 as a thief, if you did then they were bad" what kind of horse kitten is that lol. Thief is still able to 1v1 on some class’s some just take too long it’s not worth it.

Time is money yes, but I can’t see it being “that slower” I have been running with flanking strikes and dodge bound for a few weeks and so no swiftness for me, hardly noticed and I had steal up to engage an enemy on a point too.

I prefer solo q so I can do what ever I like and play what ever I want with out being forced to play what the meta is.I tried to play with my guild, but all they was intrested in was to play the most effective/least fun and boring stuff. This is why i solo. However this is a risk I take, getting matched up with premade or having class’s stacked on my team. It does blow when I get faced vs premade most of the night but that’s my problem for quing solo.

You guys are overreacting with this ooc steal. The hidden killer was nice and sad to see that trick go. But the rest of your moaning are utter trash. If you want perma swiftness then trait for the dash dodge trait, why would you give your team fury when we are "not meant to be in team fights? And wow, 1 stack of might? Whopppy do! Much dmg such over kill. When other class (example rev) can stand there afk and give the whole team 5-8 might stacks, and swiftness indefinitely, eles can give us more swiftness as well. So much toxic in there forums and over silly minor things like this. Sulking for the sake of it.
After 3 years they should of left it alone, I agree. And I am hoping this is just a bug like the stealth stacking was but we shall see.

This is a nerf. No two ways about it.
“It’s a buff because now you can’t miss steal” – Doesn’t really work like that. If you’re outside of the range, it’ll still put it on a 4s cooldown for a failed cast. Same with a stealthing target.
i dunno, i have not had it on a 4 second cd due to being out of range, it just wont trigger for me.

It’s also a buff.
In some cases it’s a nerf, denying you access to that swiftness which you might need if it comes down to a decap to win a PvP match, or if you’re running hidden thief and just need the stealth.
Mostly, though, it’s a buff. I lost count how many times I’ve missed steal because I press it a millisecond after my target enters stealth. This patch should prevent steal from going off in such cases, allowing me to use it for its full effect.
also, it use to go on a 4 second cool down when target was out of range, not it dosnt activate and says “out of range” another buff in my eyes

So I have a huge problem atm, I don’t understand how to deal with dardevil with some classes.
I’m mostly playing ranged class such as ranger and I don’t see how I’m supposed to face dardevil.
With the bound trait this guy is just PERMANENTLY dodging. Meaning I can’t land a single hit on that.
I find it quite OP but I don’t see a lot of people complaining about it.
I find DH and dardevil the most 2 OP things since HOTS but for some reason I find dardevil even worse. It’s just impossible to land a shot against it. And if by any luck I manage to CC it for a second it will just break stun and then start dodging again.
And I mean every of his dodge hit for at least 2K.
So I get it’s OP and I dunno if anet is gonna change this yet. So until then I just wanna know how do you guys manage to deal with that kind of things.

You see I’ve done some research and discovered that when you ask an honest question in these forums, you have a 76% chance to receive one of the following answers in return:

Now, as to fighting daredevils and thieves I like to use cripple, chill, and immobilize. Also any, and I mean any, AOE.
With daredevils you need to be ready to dodge when they get within about 1000 range. They can close the gap with their spammy spam attack faster than you think, and many of them will run straight at you which is how they telegraph their next move.
For ranger specifically I have had success using:
Muddy Terrain
Entangle
Torch #5In that order. Muddy terrain will force them to burn their anti-immobilize skill, setting them up for entangle. Torch #5 is pure heck on thieves of any stripe. You don’t even have to see the thief to use the above strategy; they will always try to close the gap so just cast muddy terrain shortly after they go stealth.
Also, Ranger has some tanking skills (some signet that grants invulnerability?), and you can use that when you first see the thief. Many thieves (myself included, sometimes) will burn up most of their initiative while you stand their and laugh.

Just to let you know, a staff thief dosnt need to burn anything to remove imbolize. Staff 3 cures it and dash dodge trait also cures it.

Seems fair. 1 is an elite that is a flying thingy that be killed and kinda gives the engies postion away. The other is a dark feild wich can be blasted (done that many times when I go revealed, blast the heck out of it so enemy’s are blinded)
Um….. the only way for you to keep doing the blast finisher is by using cluster bomb, and if it hits anyone, it’s going to reveal you. Considering that the whole point of thieves is that they are masters of stealth, you would think that they are able to have more stealth than an engi or actually have reveal abilities. Seriously, shadow refuge completely gets nullified by using facet of darkness (rev herald)…..
Also with that elite argument:
Basilisk Venom: 45 second CD for a 2 second stun……… There is a huge list of stun abilities that are not elites that are just way better than this. I mean right on top of my mind is Engi’s turret drop, and necro’s aoe freeze.
Pulmonary Impact: This is a terrible elite and nothing else needs to be said about it.
Thieves Guild: thieves have low hp and don’t do much dmg, the only thing nice is the scorpion wire and black powder from the theives. However all this for 180 second CD!!
Dagger Storm: Using this skill is just like asking to die, maybe if you time it right it would be super good against a ranged class, but you can’t dodge otherwise it gets canceled. So during this while you cant dodge, they can kill you with melee.

But in their defence our class has suffered a lot lately and is in a poor place in pvp (close to warrior) and a lot of other class’s can pulverise us with even knowing we are even there, so thief mains will troll just to make them feel good, but not all thief mains.
As people have said we have small windows where evade ends – mid animation (vualt evades at the start and ends as the thief finishes the flip and ‘stabs’ the ground with the staff) all evade frames have a weird white aura sort of effect when the skills is “evading” it’s when this ends then you can try to land your hits in.

I dunno, I find it very useful in most situations. It’s a great stun breaker, you can dodge to cancel before the kick happens but once it does I think it’s too late, not really tried change weapon neither. What I like about the kick though is that you face your oponent, even vs stealth users so you can follow up with a next attack, I normally follow up with dust strike. Only times I dislike it is when vs multiple people or foes, and kick a pet or minion down instead but oh well, I still find it a reliable stun break.

I though that mega servers put you in the same server after if the ma becomes full. There has been countless times where I, or another guildy has been placed in a different server for no reason at all, i can understand if it is full but every tie this has happened, we could zone to each other via party menu and realised that the map is far from full. the other night me and a guildy (also on freinds list and in group) was waiting for a DS map reset, the dragon did its thing and downed every 1, then toy gt rezoned as a dead body, sure enough we was both on different servers.. how does that even work, despite being in the same grp/guild.

Most female mediem armors look pretty bad, at least on an human. They look much better on plant people. I think the dye choice also makes a bad looking armour look good, I even managed to like full hunan t3 on my female thief after ages playing with different dyes, and adding a suitible back piece too.
I guess every 1 has different tastes but I agree. Most mediem armors look bad.

Power based berserker is ok for pve as you have threat of missing the burst skills so you can pretty much spam them, not so good in pvp vs compitent people though haha

Thief vs thief ends really fast most of the time and buffing the dmg will just speed things up even more, we builds that can pretty much 1 shot each other, do we realy need this on most builds if the dmg side of us was buffed? I don’t think so. Cead is right and a few of us have said it many times, thief is fine it’s just other classes out perform us now.
