The trash mobs don’t scale, you can probably manage the 1st and 2nd levels alone if you are a capable player. By the 3rd stage you either need a group of people or hope there’s no events blocking your progress, (In my case there was, so I just guested to a different server) and stealth through most of it.

If it’s supposed to be group content the issue is that THERE’S NO REASON for people to return to much of what’s in the tower once they’re done. I did a few dailies here and there but it was more about hanging at the entrance killing mobs or recycling one event over and over.

I did have one toon I left at the top of the tower for awhile so I didn’t have to trek through the tower again but I’ve since found better things to do with that toon.

What with IRON leaving sor (I’m sure it’s not because ZDs on BG are a lot better) and going to silver league (morale booster I hope) I thought you might feel better if I got your iron back. It’s worth a lot more nowadays because of the ascended update, just a fyi.

PS. Sorry Seasons didn’t work out for you, many people were sad to see you go. You were always considered one of the better PvF guilds, if nothing else.

WvW is ‘supposed’ to be unbalanced. They frustrate WvW, GvG with the idea you will move to spvp and make it an e-sport. But just as you said, the people i know simply left the game.

What do you worry about on your own ignore list?

Why not have a system that lets you spend ingame gold to reset them.
They’ve manually reset them previously, just let players manage this themselves.

While were here make it an alt friendly system too. Make points you accumulate account bound.

The WvW political climate has switched, JQ SEA focuses SoR now because of IRON trolls and other antics from SoR.

JQ and SoR did support one another at this time, but it is gone.

IRON has become a liability to SoR.

Happens to me too. I thought it was the dragon wings i used at the time but I recently swapped to a wind catcher and the same thing occurs.

Just to be clear, what happens to me is EXACTLY the same: Back piece disappears with RTL weapon sheath, sheath weapon fixes etc.

ANet seem to be getting themselves organised in more recent times.

There was a thread in the dungeons section (cba looking for link) that highlighted most dungeons are based around DPS, that while some coordination and sense of enemy movements were required, the better your DPS the quicker you would finish the dungeon.

ANET are attempting to mix this up more and so I think future dungeons look promising.

I enjoy the bi-product of an MMO. That is, I don’t neccessarily want to group or do stuff with other people but I get bored playing offline games.

The chat in LA makes me lol sometimes and I like WvW because I can jump on my thief and run solo or get on my guard and follow the zerg.

Would you call it a lean towards indirect grouping?

I observed that ANet initially wasn’t interested in expansions, instead they wanted to bring content to you as they finished it. As people have linked, more recently this perception has changed, I assume because elements in the community cried out at not having an ‘expansion’, like it was a mystic green hill in the distance where grass is greener and all things blossomed and prospered.

He will be back, that I have no doubt. He was too popular in GW1 to not be included and there’s a real niche market for farming junk items.

TP Flippers would start dribbling with excitement and push prices up but so long as the items weren’t overly hard to farm for the rest of us, I think it’s a great idea.

It’s just a question of when.

I think the IDEA of mounts sounds great, but it’s KNOWING what people are like that makes me say NO. You start with something cosmetic and for a time things will be ok, but then people will CREEP and start saying BUT i paid (1 million gold!?) for my mount it SHOULD at least give me a 5% speed boost when i run, and the CREEP will continue…. I paid (2 million!?) gold for my mount it should give me an armour boost, speed boost, xp gain, karma increase, additional laurels a day and scratch my back too while saying yes master…..

Now your just missing the point and arguing extremes that I never stated. I never said it was a crucial issue that should happen immediately. I’d talked about a process, that a user friendly swap system was part of that process and assessment. That a culmination of many other parts of the game in that process, if not addressed will make GW2 look old fashioned and developers out of touch, when it comes to moments of assessment.

Perhaps I can argue your extreme. Is it ok to wait 7 years for a weapon swap system?

Imo your falling into the trap that I’ve stated in my post.

At the 6 month mark it was a milestone for sorts for GW2, where it was assessed.

Imo PvE was solid, PvP was solid, WvW was severely lacking.

At the one year mark it will be GW2’s next (and biggest) milestone to date. A significant point where GW2 will be assessed again.

While not a major part an adequate ‘swap system’ is certainly a part of that assessment process. Combined with other short falls, it can start to count against GW2.

Worst case scenario GW2 seems old fashioned and its developers out of touch.

A weak trait/weapon/armour system imo is a part of this product that needs focus for GW2 to be taken seriously

True. Still, with respect to JQ, they don’t look like imploding, not in the way that SoS did when it started losing.

Which reminds me I’m stuck on acronyms, perhaps you can help?
I got to SoKG (Sea of Kainengate) and realised I couldn’t make a decent acronym anymore from all the servers that have gone there without making it look cluttered.

One person pointed out to me that big guilds seem to go there and disappear, he called it the retirement server. Maybe that’s why BG wins only once every other week (two weeks in a row is too tiring).

So i decided to change tact and rather than looking at acronyms i decided a colloquial expression was more appropriate and went with: Black hole.

With that as inspiration I came up with ‘The server that sucks you in’ but it needs polish. I’m sure I can do better.

There are TW on both JQ and SoR… I’m not at all surprised Blackgate feels as though they are being 2v1’d :P

Wouldn’t be a match up if BG didn’t claim 2v1 at least once. In all honesty I target BG more BECAUSE of the QQ 2v1 comments, its so amazing to get them fired up!

Some random BG players were throwing random siege everywhere earlier. Flame rams in the middle of nowhere, balistas on top of tower walls that they could never build. You could just feel their frustration, their zerg running around capping nothing, its hilarious!

To me it ties in with typical BG performance. Push hard to win one week then implode the next week. Wash and repeat.

Bunch of BG with super distance on their AC killing all the siege. Is this legit, serious question.

The fundamental point here is that requires an entire map to show some form of solidarity. However a spy can impact on a whole map influencing all the people on that map in an unhealthily disproportionate way.

That my friend is griefing, something which ANet is against.
