People are complaining because conquest is the only mode, rather than cheesy secondary mechanics.

But Skyhammer is still in unranked if that’s what you want to play.

This is conquest tho, not guard the npc.

Once a gate is down, you have no real indication of someone heading to lords until they’re at lords. And as the OP stated, by then its already to late.

You encourage people to not fight each other because its more beneficial to fight an npc. That shouldn’t be what PvP is about.

You currently have 4 tier 2 servers. A tournament would lock one of them in Silver and demolish it. No fun for the one demolishing and no fun for anyone else.

PPK was out not so long ago, a number of people enjoyed this and were excited by this which made fights interesting. Anet should be developing these ideas more which can bring back players if given the hype, unfortunately it was mainly JQ and TC that participated this time round.

PPK was the only thing that kept my server (Blackgate) competitive in terms of points last matchup. I’d love for it to stay.

Other sources of points (sentry and yak kills) are fairly constant with the other servers so it’s only kills keeping us competitive :p

JQ came out leading the weekend, the first week PPK was implemented and JQ never leads from the weekend. That was a direct result of PPK.

BG has been playing catch up ever since.

When multiple guilds push one it doesn’t constitute a ‘good’ fight. Spamming the commander in PM’s (which is the new BG meta) to come fight is just silly.

This is what happened.

Find it hard to know what items I have multiple of and how many.

Previously it would tell me if i had x3 of a particular item for example. Now I have to visually check in my inventory to see what items i have the most of rather than simply scrolling down a list on the TP.

Now it tells me what I have, but not how many repeats until AFTER I’ve selected to sell it.

I did make it in the forge.

I didn’t double check to see if I had the recipe initially however I can’t imagine how I would have had it originally. In any event that would still constitute it being a bug in my eyes because I still made the recipe and learned it after the achievement was released.

Is this achievement bugged?

I made the Recipe: Feast of Spicy Lime Steaks, double clicked it and received recognition. However when I did the EXACT same for the Recipe: Feast of Truffle Steak Dinner I have an empty slot under Fine Dining indicating I still need to obtain the recipe.

I have the recipe listed under cooking and even went ahead and made/ate the product (not exactly cheap) but to no avail.

EDIT: I’m sitting at 13/14 so I’ve had no problems with the other achievements.

They don’t enter the community, they just try to rip out what guilds are left.

I know ANet was leaning towards a grouping system (similar to eotm) to place everyone on some degree of an even playing field. I’m pretty sure they’ve changed their minds about that one as most people felt it was impersonal and you had no real connection to winning or losing.

That was a while ago and I haven’t heard much since so were left with, as you say, a win of coverage.

This thread is over 2 years old but the issues are still very much current.

I just wanted to +1 Goatroth’s posts because IT COMPLETELY SOLVED MY PROBLEM. I tried a few other people’s ideas but it seem to default to the same problem or I had to fiddle the settings again to get it to work after i restart computer.

Just make sure Logitech Gaming Software is active in the background when you play and you will have no issues.

I used to average pretty close to 20% until they changed the chests to the current method. Currently i’m 0 for 10 on scraps since the chests changed.

That’s why I was curious to start this thread. When people say “RNG is RNG” it ignores the fact that RNG is based on coding which may not exclusively be RNG.

So i took the plunge and did 2 rounds of 25.

Round 1: 1 Ticket +10 scraps (sorry didn’t take note of how many exactly). I received a number of those scraps as 2/3 when opening a chest.

Round 2: I received 0 tickets and 9 scraps (I counted this time). No 2/3.

Additionally it’s a shame some people get caught up on the small things and can’t see the ‘forest for the trees’. People got caught up on the semantics of how the article writer choose to describe his wife as a player instead of identifying what the article was really about. Sometimes all a thread needs is to be bumped to have something added to it.

When a red post promising changes is over a year old and nothing has happened that speaks volumes alone. In that respect you can forget the person who bumped it and what they said, because its irrelevant.

I get called all manner of things but honestly most of it is true so……

For me tho it just came down to the fact I felt like I was hitting a brick wall previously. This way I get kills and I get wins even if people hate me for it.

I am one of those few.

To be specific the threads I’ve historically ‘red bumped’ were to do with:

1) Commander tag
2) WvW Achievement Points

These points are not new to people who follow the forums. I’m sure many people would feel that we don’t need ‘yet another’ topic created on them. So you can say that my necros failed to post an insightful comment, only to be disruptive and try “prove a point”, but I honesty think the real point was missed.

I didn’t have to post an ‘insightful’ comment because I didn’t need to. I breathed new life into the topic because of the simple fact that the obvious was made clear.

That is for over a year you’ve discussed a revamp to the WvW AP’s which has not happened. You’ve discussed a revamp to the commander tag along with a CDI to back this up for over a year and yet, nothing.

Am I disruptive to the GW2 community? I like WvW, I want WvW to be better and I bump things, that seemingly get lost so that new players realise that their ideas are not so new and concurrently helps give perspective to veteran players.

You can argue the merits of altruism but in some respects that’s beside the point. What I did was use the system presented to us, the limitations that comes with that to highlight a point. That is, a developer posted to state they were working on/wanting to make changes to said topic, that seemingly hasn’t happened.

Tbh I think I’ve been very constructive, it creates accountability. The ‘political fallout’ from that, is why we are now having this conversation. Not because I’m being ‘disruptive’.

That’s what I observer.

From what I’ve seen of ANet they typically don’t abandon things they’ve created. They get wavering attention but they always revisit it at some point.

Many years in the future as GW2 gets older they will look for ways to reinvigorate the environment and a complete overhaul to underwater combat would be an exciting way to do that. But atm there’s not the momentum from them and posts like this celebrating underwater combat historically have been uncommon.

JQ’s always had strong SEA, anyone who follows WvW would know this.

If you look at the current score Mos score BG and JQ are almost even (with BG ahead slightly). To make statements like like ‘overly stacked’ would imply there should be less, which would, given the current climate hand wins to BG every week. But that would be even?

In any event getting back to the original point that stated 5 tier 1 and 2 servers would break even against one tier 1 server timezone is silly and discounted the fact that BG has long been seen as having the strongest EU presence compared to any other NA server.

JQ’s SEA is comparably to BG, TC, SoS, Mag and FA put together right now. EU wise, it’s tough to compare right now.

Forgetting for a moment that your comparison of JQ’s SEA is exaggerated, lets just focus on it being ‘tough to compare’ BG ticking at 400ppt during EU time as of only yesterday.

I’m glad ANet are offering some interesting mechanics. I for one enjoyed the fight and didn’t find it overly challenging.

There’s still plenty of world bosses you can afk auto-attack if that’s your thing, otherwise L2P.

What your asking has been suggested many MANY times over and then some.

The commander pins have been useless since release. ANet has failed to make changes to it despite saying they will.

Expect a change in the future (we’re talking years here).

My brother came to GW2 because I played it.

He’s an intelligent person in a professional, well paying job. He has a family and still enjoys to game.

But he quit because of the reasons mentioned by the OP, he didn’t ‘get’ GW2. He could have persisted but that’s not the point. He was hardly invested in the game and after a period of time he walked away because he was sick of dying on his ele.

This is a bit meh since I hoped I could use 4 on-land sigils for others than the stacking one.

They’ve gone backwards. I don’t like how it works now and as ASP has pointed out it creates a ballerina play style around water, or buy the stacking sigils for ANY occasion you may think you need and place them on your water weapon before hand. It’s just silly.

I won’t even comment on the PvE in water before you PvP.
