Agree. I regretted not getting the Royal Terrace pass when it was available so this is the next best thing for me. However, it is quite claustrophobic in there and I feel sorry for Norns and Charrs who try to negotiate those walkways.

I can see that the artists wanted to get an authentic feel. Perhaps it is the only airship available in these troubled times.

I did not like the armour when I first saw it in the Gem Shop. I guess I am way too conservative and it looked so totally alien to me. I could not imagine it looking as good as the pics you people have shared. I am wishing now I had a character to dress in it

I have 13 characters and one spare character slot that will soon become my fourteenth when I make up my mind what I want. I do have a main character who is my first created and she will always be my favourite, but the others are important too. I have one parked on top of a jumping puzzle but I do miss playing with her so her place will be swapped with another soon.

All mine are L80 and all are in various stages of their personal story and map completion. I want to complete both on all my characters so I see myself playing this game for a long, long time.

I get fixated on one character for a while so she inches forward in both exploration and story but then I change over to another. It keeps the game fresh for me and I don’t mind doing the same heart quests and vistas over and over. It helps that my memory is flaky at best

Do get your husband to contact support though as they may be kind enough to reverse it. I didn’t think of that but then my new server was better than my old

I also worry about the guild representing/or leaving button. I know one day I am going to hit the wrong one as they are very close together too.

Did you check your spam folder for the reply to your previous enquiry? As far as I know, Support always reply. You should update that ticket if you have the number with the request for a refund. Anet are refunding the gems for anyone not satisfied with the new version.

I am not sure why logging into your email would have caused you any mischief unless you clicked on a link in one of those phishing emails.

Your account is working because you are able to post in the forum. The game uses the same log in details. Are you certain you are using the email address you used for Guildwars 2 as the account name? A common mistake is that people try to use their display name. If you have forgotten your password then it should be saved in your browser.

It is an awesome game and I hope you do stick to it for a very long time.

The stickies for this forum are very good and worth reading especially the tips for new players one.

As for class that overpowers everything, well you will read a lot of differing opinions on that. Race really does not matter at all so choose whatever suits your fancy. I think most people agree that the warrior is the simplest to play for a beginner and they are pretty tough as well.

MR, I read the skill point problem as the OP is higher level than the skill point. So, just in case I am right, OP, please be assured that there is no problem with you getting skill points if you are a higher level than the area concerned. Some of my L80s are just now exploring the Caledon and Metrica starter areas for the first time and that includes gaining the skill points.

Is it all skill points or just some that are not working for you? Sorry if this is stating the obvious but some of the skill points require you to drink a potion or eat some food. Make certain you are doing that and not just collecting the goodies in your inventory. There is also one in Wayfarer’s that requires you to talk to the guy after you have fought him. I have nearly walked away from that one a few times.

If you are doing this and the skill point is still not completing, then something is wrong and I suggest you post in the Technical Forum or the Mac Forum for help.

What he is doing is very much an offence. You say you have contacted support and they are working on it. I believe you should trust them to follow through on it and update your ticket whenever required. I am sure Anet takes this sort of stalking very seriously but you have to give them time to investigate and establish the facts.

You have to do what it says and check all your equipment for the offending stats. Check everything including your jewellery. You will eventually find the culprit.

The posters are also part of the heart quest. The way it was before, once you had completed the achievement and the posters stayed removed, you could no longer use them to complete the heart on any alts.

@J Night. I keep meaning to come back to thank you for your settings which I copied and which work beautifully for me,. I no longer have to lower my graphics settings at big boss events which I used to do before. Life is so much easier Thank you.

Yes I would recommend it. It is a great game. I am still enthusiastic over it almost 12 months into playing and I still shudder when I think of the shortcomings of the game I played before this – and thought I was enjoying it

My experience with the game on the Mac is a mostly positive one. It is disappointing that Anet ignore us for the most part but I am still grateful that we can play it on the Mac and they throw in a pc version for free.

I have recently transferred to a much busier server and find that I have to lower the graphics at most big boss events or the game crashes. I just change to ‘best performance’ for the duration of the event.

I too have noticed I no longer get that annoying UI flicker. Not sure if it is Mavericks or one of the patches. BLTC still finicky though. Mostly it loads except when I really want to buy something

I can confirm it works. I upgraded to Mavericks as soon as it became available to the general public.

The patch of Dec 10 bought some problems to those of us running Mavericks. They included a mad mouse, an annoying transgaming update every time we tried to launch and a blank screen on the gem store. I have an iMac i7 and the game runs pretty well on it. The colours are gorgeous and I just love the 27" screen Have you checked out refurbished Macs? You may be able to get a bigger screen and more grunt than what you had planned for a similar price. The refurbished computers sold through Apple are very good and as good as new.

The only major problem I have is at the world bosses when there are a lot of people there. The game will slow and is likely to freeze and crash. I have missed a few chests that way as it always seems to bail out just before the end. To avoid this, I turn the graphics to ‘best performance’ just for the battle. It looks pretty ugly but at least I don’t crash and I switch them back again as soon as it is over. I don’t do WvW or anything like that so can’t comment on that.

Oh I know what you mean about the BLTP and the ‘gold circle of death’. It is very annoying indeed.

There is a fix for the tgUpdate in this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/mac/TgUpdate-1-11-everytime-i-open-the-launcher/page/2. This also fixes the gem store blank screen too (and the hyperactive mouse). However, my game loaded a new patch today which I assume might incorporate that fix.

I had this happen once and it turned out that I had never used the previous manual. If you have a lot of alts, I guess it is understandable that you might miss a step now and then Hope that is all it is for you.

I updated to Mavericks when it was first released but the TgUpdate, gem purchase problem and mouse sensitivity has only happened to me since the patch of 10 December. All in all, I am not suffering too badly and Mavericks is worth it to me anyway. I always like to keep my computers as updated as possible. I am going to bootcamp this Mac though. I hate to do it to such a lovely machine but I crashed at Shadow Behemoth the other day. I expected it because the zerg was big and it has happened before when there has been a lot of players at the one event. I am running an i7 IMac. I can’t get better than that. It is disheartening.

I have been getting this issue too since the patch. What works for me is alt/tabbing to the desktop, clicking on the desktop, then going back to the game. Someone also suggested working in windowed mode and just clicking on the desktop when it happens. Hope it works for you. It is a horrible bug.

If you are having mouse issues, what type of mouse is involved and what version of the Logitech Software you are using. The Guildwars2 mouse

I have submitted a support request and attached a system report.

Am having problems since Dec 10 update.

TgUpdate every time I try to load;
cannot buy gems because screen is blank;
mouse changing view abruptly (I seem to be able to overcome this by alt/tabbing to the desktop and clicking on it, then returning to game – thanks to the clever person who suggested this).

Mine comes from a combination of two characters from a previous game I played, Princessfig and Lilly. I thought Figlilly sounded rather Mary Poppinsish and all I can hope is that it isn’t some dire insult or name of a body part in a language I don’t know.

I wonder if you are starting the game from the window left on the screen after you shut down a previous session. This can play havoc with the camera. It was a nightmare to me when I first started this game (along with the controls) until I read about that.

I don’t know how common this is but it is the first time I have seen it and it was definitely an ‘Awwww’ moment for me. Spotted in Metrica Province yesterday, three moas of different types hanging out together. They ran off together too so they must be buddies.

Yes, it has happened to me and my friends. As far as I know, it is part of the event and is a feature rather than a flaw as rhodoc said. I don’t know why your guild mates have not seen it.

A lot of people (including me when I first started) put their account name in the log in screen instead of their email address. Perhaps this is what is happening in your case.
