Well lets be honest , necro is bad designed class and will never be vaible.
Necros have extremely high outgoing heals. Necros can have one of the highest healing powers out there because of last rights. Anywhere from 1200 to 2075.
You can literally cast transfusion then drop out of death shroud and heal your team for about 50-80% of their HP.
Also its a beast as ressing because people don’t bleed out as well as you can necro Jesus people through walls and stuff. Preventing stomps and the like.
Well ele can constantly heal + he have mobility + he have dmg + more more more
Yes we can get crazy amoumnt of healing , yes we can go full dmg and get crazy amout of dmg , yes we can go bunker and tank few ppl for very long time but we need to spec for this. Meantime some clases have all of this in 1 build , thats the problem , necro is not a class that can have dmg , sustain , mobolity in one and that was the problem since realese .

I’ll agree that the standard power necro is getting melted pretty fast, but so are most power classes. Obviously the lack of disengage, blocks, and invulns puts a glassy power necro at a disadvantage, but necro is currently capable of a lot more attrition at the moment if you trait for it. If you haven’t tried anything besides condi/pure power, I’d recommend going power on the tanky side (I’m getting good results from cele amulet). I’ve been playing a tankier necro and am finding it to be really effective at holding points, dishing out some decent damage, and healing and rezzing allies (LfD and Transfusion can be total gamechangers). Personally, I think necro is much better off post-patch, and I’m having a blast playing it. The two things that really stand out is that axe needs a slight buff, and we need to be able to see our heal/utility/elite cooldowns while in death shroud.

See, I’m not convinced this is true. I’ve held off 3 people on point with the build below, and I sit at over 2k power. You don’t need to be bursty to succeed in the current “meta”. Don’t underestimate Transfusion, either. I’ve literally seen it win games that would have otherwise been lost. All I’m saying is to try something new. As far as necro not being viable in top-tier PvP…perhaps, but that really remains to be seen.

Well i am talkinga bout top tier pvp , not queing solo vs some solo ppl. I have a build that can hold 5 ppl for good 1 min but thats not the point.

So guys after few days i sure that necro is still completly usless class when it comes to pvp. Necro is still walking target. Condi necro even tho good in 1v1 , copletly usless in team fights , dps necr4o good in team fights is ezy to focus down (still). Our blood trait lane got some nice changes , to bad all those change have no spot in pvp becouse every other profesion will do same as neco but 10 times better.
Ezy mode Cele eles 25 stack of might doing rly big direct and condidmg + great team support + mobility + insane sustain.
Thief spaming steal and daze over and over
Mesmers porting around , insta daze from stealth with no counter play to set up 1 shot burst
Warriors pressing elite skill and going hulk mode.

Because of all the might and vulnerability you can get some insane life blasts off. Between 4 and 10k at its very best.

Necros are in a hilariously sad spot. They corrupt all the boons of stupid boon spammers and return everyone’s OP conditions, so we get the illusion that we’re OP, but in reality; we’re just making everyone else kill themselves with their own OP stuff. Kind of a hilarious spot to be in. :P
Ye that happens in when u yoloq que vs soem random soloq , i am talking about top tier pvp where condi necro have no spot.
This patch was smt i was w8 for and still necro in rly bad spot compered to others , sry but necro wont be meta simply because every other class will do same thing as necro but much better. Necro is a bad designed class.
Yes we got some fancy stuff , like rly nice blood lane or the crazy condi trasnfer/corupt. Problem is that condi necro is rly good in 1v1 but completly usless in teamfights , then again power necro just melt from dmg that we have atm.

This not even funny , mesmers 1shooting eveything , stealth , moa , crazy dmg , daze after daze , blinks . The new mesmer build is just broken. That need to be changed asap.
Now pvp matches look pretty obvious , team with more mesmers win.

Now watch this:
- ELE MINOR TRAIT - Burning Precision: Critical hits have a 33% chance to cause 2 seconds of burning. Burning duration is increased by 20%. - NECRO GM TRAIT - Dhuumfire: Shroud skill 1 inflicts 1 stack of burning for 3 seconds when it hits.
Just look on every other class and changes made for them . So much synergy so many buffs here and there and as always necro got some tweeks and nerfs. Again we gonna get patch witch will make the gap betwen necro and other claesses much bigger then it is atm.

Sry but a lot of changes (nerfs) makes no seans , why other profesions got so buffed and necro witch is already in bottom when it comes to pvp got actualy nerfed , most of the changes are random , curse trait line is one big mess , plague and consume condition nerf , lich nerf , epidemic nerf idk what ealse but its sad and frustrating to watch how devs have no idea and they just dont care about balancing necro.

Just recently necro got heavily nerfed because u can swap ulti/weapons so u cant get lf at start of a match , now chill and cripple wont effect movement skills.
I can tell what will happend to necro after core and elite spec release , will be complete trash because every other profession will receive multiple buffs making then even more OP then they are now.

Consume Conditions: This skill is now considered a corruption skill and applies 10 stacks of vulnerability to you for 4 seconds after use. Increased recharge to 30 seconds. - the only vaible and easiest to interupt necro heal in game nerfed – made my day :P
Boon to condition conversion and condition to boon conversion has been standardized and its functionality changed. Skills which convert boons and conditions now randomly select from all boons and conditions on the target instead of taking the last applied. – big slap and nerf for necros

Not because he is giving me changes I want, but because I can see that he understands Necro’s on levels I don’t think most players do.
To say that they never play necros and do not understand them is a blanket statement with no basis. They don’t advertise that they play necro, they don’t advertise when their standing next to you all the time. In fact alot of times they are lol.
I do think that Engi is a favored class by some Devs at Arena net, but at the same time being favored, doesn’t necessarily mean it wont be balanced. This is a game tied to a business. A business would not survive if everyone played one class. Because people would get bored and leave.
So its to soon to tell honestly what will happen to the Necros/Reapers. They are constantly announcing changes they are making to turn current play-styles upside down. I like this, its time! Its long overdue and I am sure that there will be pain from things that turn out to be OP and there will be buffs for things that don’t equal out.
We, like they, just have to wait and see…

Atm trait add extra 2% dmg per condition on emey , u want to change it into crit chance on condition on emey witch will kill 6/5/0/0/3 build witch is one of the best necro power builds.
Consider merging or moving this trait into spite or SR trait lane.

Well after watching rdy up ia rly disapointed and shocked how bad are the necro changes and how they basicly have no effect on how necro will be build or will be played.
Every single class got some rly cool stuff and necro?? Got nothing .
Lets be honest blood/death trait lane ramain completly usless still. Some of the traits got moved in wrong spots , atm besides spite trait lane looks like one big mess.
Condi builds lost all of their synergy , still necros are forced to use certain 3 trait lanes but now its even worse becouse we hvae to choose betwen 2-3 good GM traits when blood and death magic TL have nothing to offer.
I know that some things may still change but atm those necro changes have completly no sense and i feel devs only did that to becouse they had to do smt. I feel those changes are pretty much random.
U know what is the best part? Watching the stream from begining and like devs were : oh this class got this and this , they were very exited but then they moved to necro and? Ok Necro traits that that that ok lets move to ranger. On every class they discused new cool staff but on necro we actualy got nothing new. Look how they were answering question after each class preview but after necro they just move on becouse who even play necro??
So in sumary necro will still be :
- class with no mobility
- class with lack of sustain in fights
- class who have to spec into full power dmg/condi dmg becouse u cant balance necro around to get some sort of sutain ( simply u will loose to much dmg)
- class stuck with same builds/trait lanes since realese of the game
- class that besides dmg cant bring anything ealse to a team
- the only class without realible deffenisve mechanism
So yeah with those certain chnages and have other classes getting some rly good stuff i can say 1 thing RIP Necro time to reroll.

Target The Weak trait – now gives u 2% crit chance per condi on emey insted of 2% more dmg per condi on emey.

Downstate trait is the only good pick there and its rly storng , i would even say i bit broken. I had a game , 4v4 on close point , i was on power neco and i had 1 guy on power necro in my team. Well we were loosing that fight and me and the other necro went down and enemy team was busy with finishing 2 other ppl from my team and what happend? My + the second necro killed them all from downstate.
Well i am not so expirienced like Holl when it comes to making videos but u can jump in on my stream and watch some solid necro gameplay
Nah necro is not the worst but most balanced , its just power creep of other classes for the past 2 years made necro looks bad.
Well facing good thiefs can be hard and still if u are able to put out enough presure he can run out and reset. As a condi necro i love to face thiefs becouse its a rloly good practice with timing your skills especialy vs s/d thief.
Ok now few words about your playstyle. Man u so so so pasive. U have to move more , kite more and man start dodging it helps a lot. I am not trying to be salty or anything but u have a lot of room that u can improve . As a necro dont try to hold to those points becouse u are not meant to do that , if lets see 2 ppl push u and your team wont react in time ( witch is pretty common with soloq ppl) u will die in few sec Anyway. Moving solo on map its your worst nightmare feel free to pm for some tips or visit my twitch channel.
One more thing , remember that most important is to win the fight , dont stick to the point so much , kite more , even if the enemy will get decap that rly doesnt mattertill u win the 1v1.

The thing that makes necro worse then other professions is that necro is the only class that can bring only dmg to the team when at the same time rest classes using one build can bring dmg , sustain , mobility , team support. This trait was a small buff to condi builds but nothing that would make necro close to other classes.

Well atm its hard to form a new team , usually forum helps a lot but here lf forum is just one big mess. So i made forum where ppl could search for team or for ppl lf team. Ofc this is still under construction and its up to u guys if i should keep it and improve it.
