Is it only me or Devs are starting to work on necro more?? They fixed those downstate bugs , then boom we gost sb on fitg , we noticed that fear is buged and not working as a interupt and now hot fix for this when usually we would w8 for next big patch for the fix

Vamp are the best and i am not talking about life steal but 6th bonus , mist form. If u know how to use those runes they are great. Remeber that when they prock u can still go ds + if u go lich and u will get focused hard u ownt die , runes still prock

We all know necromancers are a huge pain. They are so prevalent in the current meta and all their 3 meta builds are strong. I mean of course power, terror and minion master.

1. Remove stability from lich. That skill is too strong and has no counter play. It’s an elite so it should deal damage but there should be a risk about 1shotting people with your auto.

2.Rework plague form. Namely 2nd skill. Call it “plague of frailty” and make it inflict vuln instead of blind.

3.Remove chill of death. Just, remove it.

4.Terror. Tone down the damage by 20%. 1k fears are no fun especially since they are easy to chain and they ignore armor.

5. Make corrupt boon more obvious. Pin down got a huge telegraph, point blank shot, even freakin air blast got the same fancy spinny whirly telegraph. Meanwhile corrupt boon is a slight hand movement with some dark green stuff that not only is identical to staff 4 it’s also hard to see in team fights.

6. Make staff marks dodgeable. They take effect before the animation especially with some latency. Also staff 4 should have a more recognizable telegraph since it’s extremely powerful.

7. Make doom take effect after the animation not before it. What is up with that anyway? What’s the point of an animation that occurs after the effect?

8. Tone down well damage but reduce their cooldowns. They hit too hard, even supposedly “bunkerish” classes like the celestial monkeys have to run away when they are dropped on the node.

9. Replace path of corruption with a trait that gives 33% endurance regen. They always complain about not having enough dodges.

1. Sry but no, why? There is more then enough counters to lich like los, blind, invuln, blocks ,chain ccs and the most effective target-focus dead.

2. Plague is ok like it is and i dont see any point of changing blind into vuln .

3. Ok CoD trait , well we can talk and talk how good is it but lets be honest trait is fine , ofc its pure passive but every class some passive procks so eaither be fair and remove passives for all or just leave it like it is. Ofc CoD should not be effected by 50% more dmg trait.

4. Terror have a lot of counter play (stability , stunbreak , condi clear) so i dont see any point of lowering dmg from it , condi necro already need to put a lot of effort to able to stack good amount of condis.

5. Yeah some better animation could be good , i agree with that.

6. I agree with better animations but 3/4s i enough to be able to dodge marks , necro alaredy suffers from very long cast times snd cds.

7. Doom is fine , its ofc instant thats why its hard to avoid it but remeber that its the only deffensive skill when necro is in ds and for example is getting chain cced.

8. Wells are fine , if u stand afk in it thats a l2p isuee and i cant help with that. Dmg is decent but they are very ezy to avoid .

9. U want to remove 1 from 3 vaible and balanced GM traits that necro have??

Now few words from me as a player necro since 1stbeta. All i see is guy making topic and asking not for reworking class but a guy asking for nerfing a class witch is already in very bad spot. Could i ask u what are u playing and what build are u using??

Rly a lot of ppl coming on this forum is complaing for some things for no reason . Most of the time they play pvp meet a way better player and get stomped , then cry on forum. U ask for constructive opinion , well 1st u have to lern few thing about the class u complain about and make a topic like that .

One more thing , could i ask for the minion build that is so storng and prevalent in the current meta?

And tbh this topic looks like a simple troll topic

So what , necro in higher tier pvp cant use melee weapons simply becouse he lack thing that every other class in this game have access to like block , invul , mobility , stability etc.

At power necro is just 1 trick pony

Ok so everyone know that we have this “global” timer for conditions ( we get dmg at the end of each second of aplied condition). My question is why fear and dmg witch comes from a trait works same? Lets say i want to get 2s fear on my mark , so i go a bit into spite line + nightmare runes + MoT trait. Problem is that to get 2 ticks of dmg from fear i need to land some other condition on my target and i have to time my fear becouse if i time it wrong i will still get only 1 tick of dmg. At the same time lets say i 6s bleed will do 6 ticks of dmg not 5!

By that logic terror will damage even with resistance?

Not sure what to think of this. With a 1 and 1/4 sec fear we could possibly get 2 fear ticks because (I’m 99% sure on this one) condi ticks apply every second.

So if you fear at 0.75 sec, your 1 1/4 sec fear will tick at the 1 sec and 2 sec mark.
This required skilzz and precise timing, but was a huge dmg bonus.

Now I can just spam my fears and forget about the timing, so a buff/nerf depending on how you look at it :/

For me the bigest problem is that if i go a bit into spite line + nigthare runes + MoT and i get 2s fear i still need that other extra condi becouse without it we can get only 1 tick of dmg becouse condi dmg ticks at the end of second.

And the most kittened thing is that even if we have that condi we can still get only 1 tick of dmg if we time our fear wrong and lets be honest on necro u dont have to much time to react when u need to focus on so many things like position , where are enemys etc.

Its funny that when i have 2s fear duration and there is no other condi on my target , when i use reapers mark or doom target gets only 1 tick of dmg.

Necro is in bad spot and every decent player knows that. There are 3 problems.

1st class design witch completely doesn’t fits to current game mode where u need mobility, dmg, sustain, team support witch necro lack (besides dmg ofc) .

2nd thing is the main class mechanic witch is death shroud witch counter our own traits , sigils , runes , we cant be healed in ds , regen is not working etc.

3rd thing is that a lot of necros problems comes from other classes having access to so much condi clear , ccs , healing , mobility . For past year every single class was getting small buffs here and there that actually now are paying back but necro got basically nothing , ofc we see some changes here and there but there are completely useless.

My bigest concern atm is the expansion witch will propably give some nice stuff to every class but necro is getting melee GS and everyone know that necro in melee cant handle pressure at all just because he lack that basically every other dps class can get witch is blocks, evades , invu , disengage skills . Ofc we need to w8 for the expanion and i hope i am wrong.

Everyone know that necro is in bad spot and lack a lot basicly in every aspect of this game. We had our time with dhumfire and after that necro is getting nerfed in every patch , even u we see some buffs on paper they are simply useless . I feel like devs are throwing only smt to actualy show that they are doing smt.

After 2 years i know that even the HOT wont change anything , u think giving a GS to a class witch lack of stability , mobility ,vigor , blocks , invu skills and many many other stuff will work? Necro is not designed to be mele class.

And one more thing :
-“Summon Flesh Wurm>Necrotic Traversal: will no longer activate without line of sight/actual path” – this show how they like necros.

How i see all the necros problems? Lets look on the balance of the game in general , in my opinion necro next to the guardian is best balanced profession , why? There are 4 things that are rly important about teams comps. Mobility , dmg , sustain , team support. Now lets see on other professions , some of them have 2-3 of those things and ele have all of them. Necro is a bit diffrent , u cant get everything , going more into dmg u loose sustain and oposite and that is how the game should be balanced.

State of some professions and how they benefit from runes or amulets makes them way to strong. Ofc necro need some nerfs,buffs,fixes like every class but lets be honest top teams will always pick profession that will be most effective and necro in not that kind of class. Offbunker comps like 2 eles , wars , guards or engis makes rotations easier , teams with that kind of setup have way more room for mistakes.

In my opinion devs need to ton down some professions , runes , amulets and then necro will be more effecitve becouse i dont want to w8 till anet will buff necro and make it OP like they did with dhuumfire.

Ofc we can make feedback , we can write what we want but after 2 years most of us should know 1 thing , no matter what kind of feedback u will give at the end its anet who make the changes and if i remember right they dont care about comunity to much.

Till then all we can do is just play necro , practice and w8 for next patch.

Honestly, all I’ve heard here is whining. Whining about certain classes being “overpowered” instead of fixing the real problem: your skill.

That is the problem here: if you aren’t a good player, you will lose. Its a 5v5 game. Why would you try to take on a turret engi? Have you heard of kiting? Stop complaining about the game mechanics and try changing your strategy. Rangers get torn up by theives so as a result rangers just complain about theives instead of trying a different strategy like Sic Em with a stealth jag. That woll rip and thief and they won’t try and 1v1 you again.

The fact you mentioned minion necroes is quite laughable. Learn to condi remove and range them. Engis? Learn to burst and if you can’t then never 1v1. Quit whining about the game and change your strategy. Every class can beat any class, its ultimately down to skill and strategy and if you can’t keep up, stick to pve.

1st of all look what i wrote , the level of pvp is going down becouse of builds carried by AI , i never said builds are overpowerd but they are simply toxic to the game.

at the moment even with a full anti condition build you cannot stand against a condition spamming build.
My suggestion:
- remove dot conditions from every autoattack or at least give it an internal cd
- remove torment from the game (we already had burning and bleeding, no reason for adding another strong dot in the game)
- reduce condition stacks to 10 in pvp or totally remove stacks, make conditions stronger but reduce their application over time, so there would be a reason to bring a condition cleanse
- Conditions should help the physical dmg or make it easier to deal it, should not be used as the main source of dmg. (in this way we won’t see anymore full conditions spamming teams)

Wont happen , devs would have to completly rework some classes , runes , sigils, traits , utilitys….

So i went soloq , basicly every game 2-3 turret engis , from time to time pu mesmer and ofc skyhammer… Was bored of this so i went solo for teamq. Ok 1st game , enemy team : necro , 3 engis , ele. Game started i am going mid and what i see?

- necro with minions + parrot
- 3 engis with turrets + parrot + droping ultis
- ele with 2 elementals + parrot

I went close to the point and got one shoted…

Rly the level of pvp in this game i going down and down.

Well necro is far from being OP. Ofc its strong in 1v1 and nightmare runes are just bad for the game but its not necro thing , they should simply change last bonus for smt like conditions deals 5% more dmg or fear deals 10% more dmg.

Rly warrior have everything to face necro in 1v1 and win. Reapers protection is good and balanced trait but a lot of ppl forget that necro can actualy run that trait.

When it comes to 2v2 or 3v3 of 1st thing is with who and against what class u fight but usually necro is the 1st target to go for , simply becouse its the easiest target to kill.

When it comes to other fears , reapers mark have unique animation and doom ofc its hard to dodge becouse its instant but it must work like that , dont forget that doom is also deffensive skill vs for example chain CCs.

Idk if u play necro but check patch notes , few changes that are simply uselles just to show us that they are doing smt to the class , 1-2 decent changes and rest is nerfs to a class that didn’t need any .

Comon this is just sad. After 6 months necro got nothing , still same builds , ton of traits useless/buged or even worse , some of them counters necros mechanics.

Ofc u made some changes but those changes are completly usless and wont change anything , necro still remain on the bottom of pvp. Lich form overnerfed , huge dmg nerf , crit chance nerfed ( even tho there is nothing about that in patchnotes) , u nerfed even plague form that dont give tougnes anymore rly?? Why?

Well of blood change? Do u even tested that? That well was OP that u had to nerf that???

Now i can interact when in DS , to bad that going into death shroud after interacting with something still interrupts the action.

Still same bug remain , when u are focused and go into DS , and after your life force is gone you immediately go into Plague it kicks you out of Plague instantly YEAH 3 min cd wasted.

Unholy Sanctuary change?? Was useless , is useless…zzzzz….

The ONLY decent change is spectral armor/Last gap change and dagger cleave . Thats all after 6 months RLY??!!!

PLZ stop doing useless changes only becouse u have to do smt…

Simply not working , sometimes u are able to stomp/res insta , sometimes u need to spend 100% lf to get a pop that u are able to interact…

And ofc u cant pop DS durning resing/stomping couse it will make u stop doing that…

I am pretty disappointed after watching necro skill bar. Most classes is getting some nice changes/buffs that might open for them some new builds , some of then will get a bit nerfed witch was needed . What about necro?? Spectral armor change is small buff , axe and dagger buffs are very very minor , so tell me where are the buffs to our sustain?

Basicly after 6 months necro got nothing , completly nothing. Now i am sure that devs have no idea what to do with the class. Tell me how necro can be attriction class , when every single other class have more tools to sustain fight way longer then we. Tell me why should i play condi necro when condis are completly shutdown becouse of the masive condi cleanse and even then engi or war will do better condi presure with more sustain , tell me why should i play dps necro when war,ele,thief will do way more dmg having way more sustain.

There is only one hope , that necro will befenit somehow from nerfs to some profesions.

Basicly necro dont bring anything to the game that other class can do but better , conqer mode where u need mobility , condi builds that atm do no dmg couse of masive condi cleanse , power build focus hard and die in few seconds. Idk what they gonna change in next patch but necro needs reworking OR other profesions need to be toned down ( witch i find better for the game).

One more thing about our “second hp bar” , that kind of sustain is just terrible , ppl need to relize finally one thing , ds is a tool that give u def by absoring dmg witch in practice is not so good , blocks , invu , spam dodge , some of utilitys completly negate and sort of dmg. Its just not working u can still be cced to death , u still take ton of dmg. If necro have such great sustain with his " second hp bar" why necro id focused always 1st???

If someone ask me if necro can be played i high tier pvp? Yes it can but it require completly diffrent play style of your team witch is way harder just becouse u have no room for mistakes witch is completly diffrent compared to all the cheese sutain builds that deal crap ton of dmg.

Oh and the fix to pasive fears is rly easy , reduce or remove fear form nightmare runes , add icon when necro is using reapers protecion and when the trait is rdy , that would add some counter play for enemy and it would help necro .

Necro and war are completely diffrent classes , adrenaline and lf are completely diffrent mechanics , ppl who say that necro should get similar nerf 1st have no idea about game 2nd are just mad couse some wars getting nerfed so why other class should not be nerfed is similar way
