Wintersday coz last year every night after reset me and my friends did Tixx together. I have some good memories of all the jokes we cracked about Bad Santa (the movie) and stuff. If you’re looking for something that dies not very often ranger is the class for you, a close second imho is necro, but as for ranger i can afk anywhere in central tyria to use the restroom and find that my pet has solo’d all the aggro and even done half the heart. So that pet is bad kitten . When i need to afk on my other classes i miss my pet.
Exchanging gold for gems or gems for gold does not create any new gold, it just shifts around existing gold and gems between players, so has no effect on inflation at all.
But it IS a gold sink as both sides are taxed 25% or so for the exchange.
Thats not the best way to convert karma to gold the best way is to get the pact network supply map reward bonus things and cash them in on week 8 of frostgorge sound doing that everyday while waiting for week 8 of frostgorge could net you tons of charged stuff and powerful blood and giant eyes. Best use of karma ever.
I have a friend with ADD with several sets of ascended armor he crafted for himself so maybe your friend just doesn’t want ascended armor because its not a priority.
According to this beautiful link right here it says to craft your spark using none of your materials it would only cost you 472g if you scroll down it lists the ingredients and you can link further to show how it comes up with that assessment.
At one point making and selling Dawn was -1g profit which is why I didn’t craft it. Although I did make and sell Dusk by crafting the deld ingots every day. Because I have two accounts that can craft deld ingots it took me a month instead of two.
Putting a bubble around npcs and treasure chests won’t fix the fact that that dude dropped and aviator chest on your friend that you were rezzing. Some people are just jerks. Theres probably no perfect solution in a game that has toys like these. It always annoys me when I’ve eaten a food with a metabolic primer and someone puts a tray where i dont expect it to troll and i eat it. It’s annoying, but I’d rather arenanet spent developer time making content rather than micromanaging flaws that annoy us.
Unfortunately all the HoT stat insignias are account bound so unless you have a tailor, leatherworker, or armorsmith who is high enough level to craft the insignia’s i’m afraid there’s not much way. I did get a chest of insignias from a raid once and i could choose HoT stats from those but idk if it came from an achievement or if those could drop more than once. You’d have the wiki the chest of insignias to see. Good luck to you.
The thread was about armor specifically. Also trinkets aren’t crafted with time gated materials so those are out and given the new methods of acquiring them i’d say ascended backpieces are rarely acquired using said time gated materials as well. Your point?

Yes they should change it, this is stats, not skins, people need the stats to play, it is not an achievement or goal…aka legendary, stop being closed minded
I personally do not use time gated grinding…..But it does not make sense, why would you wait if you got the mats and can almost instantly make 1 copy of xx gear
There is literally no reason other than confusing it with legendaries or other skins that needs a long time to gather for the sole purpuse of showing off…and just so I can copy/paste later……
No stats are not an achievement or a skin, some builds can only work with them and it does not make sense to punish a person just because he/she did not pick a profession that only run zerker or any other cheap gear to be able to join anything

Ascended is only 5% better than exotic so really the only thing that makes ascended way more powerful over exotic is the ability to slot infusions in them so you can do high tier fractals, which has nothing to do with stats. So try again. If you need a 5% boost in stats to play the game, maybe go back to hello kitty online. I know wvw’rs who insist they don’t need ascended to beat other players and just wear exotic and thats far more difficult than any of the PvE content.
TBH whats the point in even preordering the next xpac? All the stuff that was available as bonuses for HoT was still available at the last 50% off sale except the character slot and it was all 50% off…save the 35$ and buy the $10 character slot and wait for the 50% off sale.
No one’s flipping mystic coins, even when there was a 11s difference between buy/sell it was a loss. And that was about the largest gap there’s been for 3 months except for 2 or 3 days. No one’s flipping coins. Someone might be buying coins using them realizing the don’t need that many after making clovers or something then relisting leftovers but they’re still losing money.
That’s true I capped a tower with a guildie and a solo guy from another guild joined last minute didn’t really even fight the lord coz he was worried a defender would come any minute and his guild popped up first. My guild is level 65 so i doubt its a guild level thing too. I’ve had guild levels barely able to claim a camp pop up before a maxed guild before.
More points per capture would increase karma training because people who do ppt would not care about keeping kitten (fights/defense) and they would only kappa kappa kappa all day long. You’d have to actively seek and hunt them down whereas in the current system you at least get fights because of defense.
I would like the hidden minstrel finisher back in the store this christmas but be careful what you ask for they’ll probably throw it in an inflated $30 gem package.
If you look at the figures since launch, it is clear that every time ANet introduces a way to alienate working (and therefore spending) casual players, their financials suffer. What they are left with are hardcore players who either have enough time (because they don’t work and therefore have no spending power) to grind or buy everything with gold (again not spending real money on anything) made in various forms in the game.
It’s been going this way for awhile though, it started with the invisible shoes even, and that hasnt been fixed either despite much outrage. A lot of people just threw up their hands in frustration and bought $3,000g shoes or did without. And then you have this latest doomsday package: don’t think for a second that wasn’t packaged like that intentionally to milk more money out of the people who desperately want the outfit. I’m glad they’re doing all this though because every time they do something like this i get mad and then I get madder and then I have more disposable income available in the future to spend on other things. I’m committed to spend at least a little money in this game until Christmas because its Christmas but if this Christmas update is disappointing and they’re still doing this kind of stuff, I’m not even sure I’ll play anymore much less buy gems.
You do realize a lot of night capping teams are small groups right? I’ve seen Baruch bay’s night capping team and there’s not more than ten of them. And this system effectively punishes karma trains who go to maps without conflict to ppt…the score would be worth less because no one is on the map. This would punish ppt crews more than night cappers.
Ok, for the people complaining about night capping, does anyone 600 the borderlands at all much less for more than an hour anymore since linking? I’m thinking not. So what you’re salty that people stay up later than you or sleep different hours? Like he said, you’re not the only one who plays the game. If their server didn’t play during the day as well they wouldn’t do as well with the skirmish system, thats how they fixed night capping. They shouldn’t punish nightcapping so severely that basically theres no point to wvwing at night at all just because you’re in bed, sorry the world doesn’t revolve around you.
In my opinion it seems obvious that anets latest push to generate revenue is to force you to either buy gold or buy more gold. I bought kittentons of gold to build my private guild hall but this obvious ploy is having me reconsider how much i generously donate to anet. Like, i didn’t mind it when i chose to buy gold but now that they’re rigging the system in certain areas so that you either have to stand in lion’s arch or divinity’s reach all day flipping or buy gold i’m starting to push back. There’s a lot of things they added or removed from the game that have made certain prices unreasonable. First mystic coins, then they added new nodes which were hilariously overpriced and before they even had a chance to go down enough in price for the average casual to buy one they removed all the nodes but ghost pepper nodes for the lulz ahaha anet good one guess we should all just buy gold if we want that shiny node i guess. And I know what you’re thinking it shouldn’t be too hard to come up with 500g but by the time someone comes up with that much its 600g and by the time they come up with that extra 100g its more because theres literally zero supply right now. I know someone who plays for more than a few hours everyday who is wondering how he’s going to come up with 100g for the guild hall exploration when he also needs 100g for icy runestones for his legendary because it takes him that long to earn that much. Some people aren’t grinders. People always write go to silverwastes or auric basin multiloot, it still takes a looong time to earn 500g or more in those places even grinding to death and you realize we do play this game for fun, right? I don’t want to log into a game that’s a job where the pay is fake. So that’s what they’re trying to do to increase their earnings is force casual people to buy gold by driving up prices of nonessential goods. And i’m not having it. I have a full instance and i grind harder than anyone i know in this game. I also spend more on gems than anyone i’ve ever met in this game. Well, I used to.
In addition to the sab grasslike rock platform sized snow patch guild hall decor i would also like a giant snowglobe decor for my guild hall please. Make my christmas dreams come true.
I apologize for the multiple posts i finally found a good angle of it this is my gh’s version of divinity’s reach we call new divinity’s reach it’s a project done by me and two other’s. It’s basically a private guild me and my friends have for decorating. But we upgraded it to level 65 anyway. I’m going to delete the other posts.
All good ideas so far. My big peeve is the tiny scaling of many items, especially when you consider the cost.
What would be great is a portal that would allow you to travel to either LA or any of the main cities. Yes we can always map out of the guild hall but a portal would just make the guild hall seem more connected to everything, aside from being convenient.
You know you can open the guild portal (if you have the upgrade) and travel to la anytime you want in bulk even it ports the whole guild if they step it in. It ports you to the trader’s forum waypoint.
Amaimon go to wvw and get the tribal walkers from the reward track they’re almost as good as invisible boots for light armor thats what i’m going to do when i finish my current track. I ended up paying near $300 for a pair of medium boots because i couldn’t stand it anymore (not having them) but i’m not doing it again for light boots anet can stick that right up their bum.

Hm i never noticed, must be because most of my light armored chars are really pale and i’m not observant to that type of thing. Are you sure you didnt have your boots dyed white or something?
I just have to say that a lot of you are wrong as a t9 server that fought up to t8 we were linked with t1 servers and me and everyone i knew that wvw’d hated it. So no, not everyone wants to be in the “big leagues”, and a lot of it has to do with that attitude that you think that everyone in the lower tiers wants to be up there, they don’t.
What really bothered me about the guest server thing when world linking started is i mostly only wvw with people on my server and so a whole group of only FoW people would capture an objective and it’d say (Host server captured an objective) and we’re like what there’s not a single (host server member) here. And that has continued to grind my gears although less so as time has worn on. Yes host server holds the bulk of the population but if you didn’t need to be a host you wouldn’t be one. People complained about population imbalance before linking and they’re complaining about it after linking. Maybe we just like to complain.
I would prefer something simple like the server with the most members present gets the capture announcement. That would suffice for preserving my server identity just fine. I don’t even care if the host server gets their name over the borderland. Because even if theres two x members and 1 x member capturing a tower you can’t say the 1 x member did more work no matter how good he is. Those two members carried twice the sup and gave twice the targets to defenders.
I care about guild banks but i liked it in its old spot because it was closer to the crafting station where i use my regular bank, i only ran over to THAT side of the lounge ever to use the tp.

All the sites that use your api have thick elonian cord as using 150 thick leather sections since HoT came out and it’s never changed but you changed that recipe and never bothered to update the API so people are crafting that recipe thinking its profit when its probably either a loss or a lot less profit than they think. It costs 200 leather not 150.
I’d like a snow patch decoration similar to those patches of grass you made for sab for guild halls come wintersday. I’m putting my request in early (I hope) in time to give you time to consider it for wintersday. I know I’m not the only one who wants this decoration from talking with my friends.
There more than just Mystic Forge Dailies and daily log in to get mystic Coins they are based on RNG like everything else in game that’s used in recipes, crafting Mystic Clovers can Net you 5 or 50 coins, as well as The Daily Fractal tier Chests provide an Avenue to obtain the coins. These are fine as is.
Yes other items require them but most are prestigious or have exponential value those feast recipes give unlimited food buffs for 5 minutes that is huge just to craft the recipe, it’s not like they are needed to make the actual food, and if you try to use the whole well all kinds of Guild hall upgrades require them then you should factor in that Guilds are normally more than 1 person and you can ask for the coins to be donated.
Anyone whose ever built a guild hall—I should know I’ve built three and a half, knows that when you build one its 1-3 guys(and/or girls) spending their own small fortunes, grinding to death and breaking their backs to build the hall and some intermittent donations from ‘the other guys’ in the guild, not that the other donations aren’t greatly appreciated and very much needed (VERY) but if you knew anything— guild halls are carried by their creators/builders. It’s not as simple as asking someone to donate a bunch of almost an 1g item that you need almost 1500 of to complete all the upgrades in the guild.
I for one am pleased with the new halloween guild hall decors they added this year and meant to come here eventually and say so. So i guess since the thread says new halloween item i’ll post good on ya anet thanks for the new guild hall decors.
Only need 150 thick leather skins per day. You farm it the same way players used to farm T6 mats at launch.
There is a reason why Anet made t6 mats more easily obtainable since then.
Well players needed 250 of each which takes a lot of time as T6 is rarer to get than T5 and players needed a stack of each of the 8 fine mats. However, this is much different than T5 leather which is more common to get.
250 of each and you get a piece of a legendary
5000 of t5 leather and you get a piece (coz you need three other types of leather after that) of a piece ( then you need damask too) of one piece of ASCENDED armor (most people want six, but i guess you know that)

edit you guys are wrong btw…since they updated the recipe you need 200 thick leather sections to make a thick elonian cord now.
And bear in mind the whole item itself is worth on the trading post most of the time 24? (edit: gw2bltc says 22) ish silver so a near 4s profit is massive in that sense.
Edit again and if thats not enough gw2efficiency has a list of things you can sell your spirit shards for and how much profit you make from the item some as much as 130g profit but with large investment
I’d love a craft in bulk option in the forge… what about making weapons with the eldritch scrolls? Is there any profit in those?
The profit converting reg siege to superior is tiny … for example … (and I’m ballparking this estimate) I think 50 sup rams (take a stack of wood and mithril each) costs about 8.2G to make yet selling them on the BLTC only gives you about 8.9G – the tax. ?
No money there.
According to gw2bltc.com who factors in tp fees each superior flame ram is 3s 96c profit when made factor that x 50 and you have your profit but idk what you guys want man you were just talking about how useless your spirits shards were so would you rather make almost 4s per use out of them or complain…seems like complain to me.
