The solution for FSP may be a server move to a server with space in your Primetime and cover outside. Blacktide is the only EU server that fits the bill, a few US server may too.

The process of creating a server is laborious.

Please, just please, think a bit before posting a “solution for FSP”.

How does it solve any issues with FSP WvW attendance, coverage and PuG morale? Please tell me how this will somehow save FSP from the situation we are in?

It would be a solution for the players that cant stand losing until we regain control or get back on our feat. Outside of that all it would do would be to cripple FSP even more. If we move it wont be FSP, it will be “add random server name”.

Snort is just trying to make Blacktide an even better server, don’t mind him and jsut take it as a compliment – he sees the FSP guilds as good enough to join The Grand Plan of Blacktide

But now i’m just being difficult for the sake of being difficult, i freely admit it

I have no personal experience with the fights on the NA side, and I intend to keep it that way, but that also means i can’t really say anything about it, except from hearsay.
To be fair, it would’ve been much better if there was no split to begin with tbh.

I think it’s not as bad on US servers since there are quite a lot of large worldwide communities which decided on US, and had their EU members go along.
On top of that, they’ve got the Asians and Oceanics, which also have weird timezones :p

Guess it depends on the server, we couldn’t believe the difference between our old server and Blacktide when we transfered and are happily settled in by now

Stacking/Turtling is pretty “zzz”. Countering it however is hilarious
The thing about managing to tear apart the turtle is that they don’t really expect it to happen that easily so they scramble around and you move in to wipe them up.

Might be hell to fight them when they’re together but if you tear them up, they’re easier than ever.

No, what you wrote was “Omg, this sucks, there’s nothing to do, you all suck look at what i have done so far.”

You shouldn’t expect to get nice and constructive comments to a post like that, and evne the good posts get people exasperated at yet more of the same.

Give ANet some time to work on stuff, in the meantime, keep posting suggestions, take part in the discussions, but in a constructive, positive way.
The impression you give is more “If this game had a sub, i’d cancel it!” than “I have enjoyed this game and want to keep enjoying it in the future”

Not entirely sure where that Elona zerg went tbh, they shouldve expected us to come for garrison after we took back hills. I logged off after that to delve into the grueling depths of video editing (never done it before, other vids i ahve were jsut “Put bits together with windows movie maker and upload”, here i actually did a limited amount of editing, and i’m one of those people who’ll have every weird problem happen to them that people who have done this for years ever even heard of) and dinner.

Anyone who might have the mindset of an all-Russian, or all-anything, server will quickly learn that there are advantages to having others around, and due to the size of Chaos (in this particular case), they don’t have to play with us if they don’t like it

I don’t think it’s an exploit, not everything which wasn’t intended is exploiting.
It is however boring, and when i see it, i’m a bit like “…. Really? They couldn’t think of anything better than that?”

I hope my guild never develops this as a much-used strategy, and i don’t think it will be viable for too long, with the exposure it’s getting recently – even if people don’t figure out how to counter it, this might actually be something ANet fixes.

You’re failing to mention that if a rain of fire was dropped on the Spartans, more than 5 would get hit. I’ve also enver quite seen human bodies merge together to form a giant blob of… I don’t even know what this is :p
(I’m also not big on horror/monster movies by the way, which might explain the last point)

You don’t need to be in the squad to follow a commander though, and if you want to do a pure guild run, turn off your commander tag.
“The Magnet” should only be activated if you’re willing to accept random people following you around, and hopefully listening to what you say. If they don’t understand your playstyle, then they’ll get left behind soon enough.

We’ve had some guy and some of his guildies following us around in WvW a lot, and it got to the point where our guildleader commented that he was following better than some guildies, and has been doing so for quite long, and that somebody should give him a poke and invite him to our TS.
Even without having access to our TS, he managed to be useful, follow the leader and the guild, and was a competent player. Just discarding people because they’re not on TS/in guild seems a bit narrowminded.

No, I don’t think there’s a server coalition, but i wouldn’t be surprised if the individual servers had decided to focus on us for their own reasons.

We’ve had a guildmate ask ANet if it was exploiting, after it was done to us.
If i remember right, they said that it’s not intentional (so will likely be fixed over time), but it’s not exploiting since it’s simply jumping using the actual terrain.

If there was less running, there’d be endless reinforcements as soon as anyone died anywhere. It’s already sometimes, depending on who’s assaulting/defending what where, that they get back much faster than anticipated or hoped for.

When i was in WvW earlier, my map showed the normal world map, and while i could see battle markers and icons, i couldn’t see the waypoint, or res at it.
I ended up having to relog, and decided that instead of requeueing, i’d call it a night. I missed the patch, but kitten i hope they fixed whatever happened to my map earlier

Desolation vs Blacktide vs… (please don’t kill me but i genuinely don’t remember)

Desolation, with RUIN just transfered and a previous strong night presence (due to IRON’s night shift) started out strong in the weekend. With the morning presence of Blacktide’s Russians, and Blacktide’s strong daytime presence and newly transfered EU daytime/primetime guilds, there was some decent fighting still as Desolation slowly crawled ahead. As the week started, Blacktide narrowed the gap due to this strong daytime presence, and when Blacktide was 10k behind Desolation, Desolation as a server rallied and put together a very strong daytime presence midweek, pushing Blacktide back at the last moment and securing their victory.

While i agree with the bugs and exploits needing fixed, i disagree on when you claim the matchup is decided.

Only played for a few hours, but it does look like we’ll have to really work for it this week!
Seen some good play on all sides, looking forward to more

I’m looking forward to next week’s (tomorrow night’s?!) matchup, it should be interesting, Desolation has become stronger each time we were up against them, and I personally have no experience against Shiverpeaks but i’ll go ahead and assume they’re up there for a reason

Btw, SFR, i had a look at your battlegroups system, out of curiousity…. It doesn’t seem very flexible, and this week shows the error.
The night where the fighting was the closest from an earlier time was when your strongest finally moved from BT borderlands to the homeland to counter some of our strongest.
While of course, not everything should be a reaction, you might want to build in more flexibility than your current system seems to have.

It’s not an exploit, but people like complaining about it and are quick to call it cheating.

Huh? We’re not losing on purpose, it’s simply that quite a lot of people aren’t playing tonight. There’s a grand total of 4 CIRs in WvW, and Xaoc mentioned they werent going to spend money on siege and stuff.
While some guilds are still playing and putting an effort in, its not exactly the same as it’s been before today.

And we’ll be second because Xaoc will be too focused on the FS Russians to look at anyone else, allowing Deso to get ahead :p

I’m sorry to say that today’s score doesn’t represent the normal primetime play since, as stated before, most of BT is taking it easy today to prepare for friday night’s switch.

Our referring to your primetime is a joke, relating to previous posts where SFR people claimed they reigned supreme during your primetime, despite several people posting screenshots/proof of this being not true. When cries went up of that being not in primetime, we had to conclude that your primetime is night-time/bedtime for us :p

SFR is equal/slightly below for my evening play, which is usually until 22h or 23h, at 23h-00h they start getting ahead, when many people on our side are going to sleep or quitting for the night.
Unless your primetime is actually nighttime, still no evidence of stomping.

Ugh, nobody should use banners in WvW, spamming f for loot and suddenly you’re holding a banner.
Think if it happens again, I’m just going to run off with the banner and put it somewhere way off to kitten off whichever idiot placed it.

OSC was around when i logged on (19h CET) after dinner and considering the whole place wasn’t blue, they were probably around a while longer before I decided to see what was happening.
Haven’t seen them any other day since we don’t share borderlands normally.

Which is why i did do a shout-out to the organised efforts (mostly seemed OSC, but you guys sure had a lot of people! :p) done in the SFR borderlands today
Regardless of the end result of next week, we’ll fight for it, and we’ll have fun doing so, and i do hope that we can be against you guys again with slighlty less forum crap

I’m still surprised i only got 1 infraction when they cleaned out this thread :p

I look forward to being up against the servers where our morning advantage won’t mean anything, because they have the same, and getting screamed at by my guildleader for not being perfect – i think he’s being easy on us at the moment actually :p

Next week should be very interesting indeed, and if we drop down, at least i’m sure we’ll be able to be proud of our efforts, regardless of what other servers might think of us

You will soon know what its like to fight a full server. Then youll hopefully respect a medium server like SFR for being this high

Because we got talked down to from day one and didn’t appreciate the attitude the majority of forum-going SFR had.
If you wouldn’t be such sore losers, then we wouldn’t talk down, look at our previous matchups where us and Deso were all cuddly and we were the losers.
And don’t say it’s server pride or the usual server smacktalk because i haven’t seen any other server we, or our previous server, have been up against, act like SFR people.

We were up against an organised group today, one of the reasons i could tell it was an organised group wasn’t just because of the fact they were good and their guild tags matched, but also because there was no immediate screens and “omg look we kicked your kitten #8221; posted on the official forums. :p

Speaking of, good job to the organised group countering us on SFR, it’s much more fun when not everything is ours, and still regretting i forgot to fraps that lord room defense, those numbers, those loot bags…. Omnom

Also, I’m injured atm and i’m taking out the irritation caused by constant pain out on the forums, rather than my guild and close ones

Stillll not beating us in primetime, as many screenshots showed and people testified (I’m sorry, of course it doesn’t count if Blacktide’s the one doing the talking, how could i forget), so not entirely sure why you claim we are no match.

Sure, it’s fine to be proud of reaching T2 as a med pop server, no denying that, and i’m sure you were stomping Blacktide before since they had little to none primetime players, but servers change, and now that Russian server you apparently stomped 3 times (is it me or is the number going up each post?) has some more people, and suddenly you’re full of rage? I’m sorry Blacktide didn’t just lay down and play dead, maybe you’ll find another server you can actually claim victory over next week.
