Making it a “profession killer” would be even worse because there might not be anyone of that class in the game, or there might be 1 person who would then get mobbed while the point of the game gets ignored.

I have multiple classes i enjoy playing in spvp, if 1 or 2 of them would be the daily kill, then id just be like “well, time to play another char for the day”

I wouldnt like “wvw only” gear, i have a stupid amount of badges and am currently leveling a bunch of alts, and i gear them using the WvW armor once they hit 80.
I can get the stats i want, and can jsut apply skins on them since i also have something like 40 transmutation charges.

The rune thing is a minor inconvenience at most because of how long i’ll likely keep the armor (decking out every char in full ascended wont happen overnight :p)

I’m using a Naga and wasd.
Dodge, movement, class specific skills (normally bound to f1-4) are on the keyboard, camera control and skills are done by mouse.

If you think the flowers are bad, you should hear the birds chirping each time you shoot it.
I giggle every time somebody who actually has their sound high enough notices it and goes “wtf”

I don’t mind the legendaries that much, Kudzu goes horrible with the look of my Ranger (Charr, dark fur, with dark red markings, bony arah armor) but somehow, i like it.
The look of it wasn’t a consideration when I made it, i wanted BiS, something that would always be the best, and I got it. (Made it pre-ascended weps)

Consider it the same way as the Winter’s Day achievements etc.

I’d like an invite to the guild if possible, I’m fairly experienced with the dungeons (including Arah) but i recently came back after a year of not playing and am a bit rusty. On top of that, some new fractals have been released since my break, and I never did much fractals even before I left, so it would be great to be able to get a good grip on them.

I’m EU, max level warrior, ranger (both geared) and necro (not geared), working on leveling guardian (59), ele (25), thief(20) (in that order).

When you are listing the guild tag under your name, you are representing it and anything and everything you say reflects upon your guild.
If you knew which guild I was in/if you saw it under my name, it would also shape your opinion on my guild, despite them having nothing to do with whatever I say.

Don’t be silly, of course you don’t represent the opinion of 350 people, but anything you say or do while wearing a guild tag affects how others see your guild, even if you’re jsut a lowly trial who’s been tehre for a day. Other people don’t know the, they don’t care, they see the guild tag, they see your actions, behaviour and attitude, and possibly hear what you say.
This will have them form an opinion of you, and following that, of the guild who chose to accept you as a member.
Why do you think officers of guilds have to apologise for the actions of 1 member at times? Why did your guild leader tell is guild to stop posting in this thread? (in a rather public manner at that, most guilds would keep it private and put it on their personal forums, voice comms or ingame motd)

It’s very easy for a guild to get a bad reputation, and very hard to get rid of it, if several members act like a kitten several times and nothing happens, the guild is a guild of kittens, if several members generally demonstrate that they are nice, they’re exceptions and omg why would they be in that guild?
Some guilds don’t care about the reputation, or don’t care about certain reputations, but often even those who don’t still have their limits, and your guild leader obviously believes that posting in this thread is bad for the guild. (To be fair, he’s right, you might want to lay low until you move on to the next matchup)

You guys should really talk about what your public stance is, you have members contradict each other and themselves at every turn, and sometimes even inside posts.

So because I’ve only played EU I don’t know numbers NA can field? Pretty sure they already stated caps aren’t dependant on server, and don’t worry, NA isn’t the only place which can have people run with an entire server.

Who transfers without checking the situations on a server, let alone if you’re transfering cross-continent.

Also, equating Silver League NA with Silver League EU is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard, you’re a NA guild, you would have a Massive impact even in T1 gold league and you join SILVER league? Dear god, do you know ANYTHING about EU servers? Or did you just go “hurr durr every EU server has NA coverage, obviously, because ’murica so kool!”

And oh, I’m fully aware of the numbers in t1, I’ve played on 2 nr 1 servers over the past year, and I’ve played against another quite regularly, I also know how the timezones work in EU T1, and like I said – you would have a massive impact even there.
2 minutes of research could have given you the entire layout of the EU matchups and timezones, another 2 minutes could’ve given you the possibility of making an educated decision on where to go.

There is no reason to be cuddlysweet to a zerg guild who came to EU because they want to get rewarded for killing doors and take the easy way out. You say you can fill up an entire BL by yourself, why aren’t you doing that in gold league or NA?

And “weaker primetime”? Please, UW has weaker primetime (sorry guys ), FR gave us plenty of fights during primetime before without me seeing the SE tag Anywhere.
And now suddenly you want group fights? Fine, play primetime with whoever you can get in, you dont need your entire guild for group fights, or maybe try to get into GvG, those are group fights, and I’m sure you could pick a few people good enough to fight form the zerg.

(Note: I have not actually seen you around, so I’m not sure you even tried playing primetime, but if even you say you fill up a BL by your guild alone, I have no reason to consider you anything else than a zerg guild.)

We meet few times in similar numbers, but most of the time you outnumber us by 10-15 and more + pugs. Take care guys, maybe next time

Boring week for me, most of the fights was vs blobs.

Likely he was referring to the scrims that you guys regretfully had to cancel, but in general VoTF discourages pugs following us (As somebody mentioned earlier, we we spent some time getting rid of an upleveled Ranger who wouldn’t listen to us when we politely asked him to go away), and we do try not to group up with other guilds.

I wasn’t there for that screen, so I don’t know what happened there

Mmm, I still pretty much agree with everyone who says it’s fine.
You don’t have to get all the dailies, if you’re serious about WvW this will come without noticing, if you’re not, you have other ways of getting your daily. “Achievement competing” (lol) is no reason to change this.
There are PvE dailies which take more than 15 minutes, too, World Ranker is fine as it is.

Actually, in vid gaming (I’m not talking about other fandoms etc), the only girls i’ve seen getting kitten is the ones going “HAI GUIS, I R GURL!”, who really make a point out of it, instead of just playing the game and hey, look, they just happen to be a girl.

The WP thing was looked at as a bug at one point in the game. Then they didn’t know how to fix it, so they said they were leaving it in. Trust me, I might not be able to find the discussion on it anymore, but it’s deff not “intentional design”.

Same for the banner, when the subject came up first, they looked at it, went “Oops” and then “…Well, we’re just going to leave it like this, I think… Yeah…. Omg just kill the warriors lulz”.

Something being in the game does not mean it’s intentional design, or is that bug where you can warp through doors intentional design? As far as I’m aware, that still happens sometimes….

Actually, Ranger Spirit Res is easier to interrupt than anything else in the game. There is a cast time for the spirit, during which the Ranger needs to survive (quite easy, admittedly). Then there is suddenly this rather alrge spirit appearing which dies in seconds from all the aoe, and then, if it somehow doesn’t, there is still painfully obvious cast time and animation for the res. :p

It’s likely they don’t want to give people the impression that they will release information every time something gets leaked tbh, and this forum is the in-game events forum, while GvG took it over some time ago, I doubt they really look in here.

I’m also familiar with the person, and while I’ve never really had any personal interactions with him, I have the utmost respect for him.

However, there is nobody who can claim he wasn’t fully aware of what was going on, especially not if you know who he is, this wasn’t just a little tester hired the day before who walked into something which wasn’t broadcasted in mapchat (oh, hey, more people can watch the video).
If he had a problem with the language being used, he should’ve gone in tag first and ask to keep it polite please, instead of deliberately interrupting the event and then taking out the tag in a “Look who I am” way.

Don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t excuse the language used by the players, though their frustration is understandable, and in no way do I believe that he should be fired over this, please, that would be silly. Though he should certainly be reprimanded.

And Lily, I would expect you to be aware that people ahve tried the polite route, repeatedly, only to get ignored without even a pat on the head (honestly, in that way gamers are like children – pat us on the head and we’ll be happy for a limited amount of time), and over time as people got more annoyed, the reactions by ANet got worse, creating a vicious cycle which honestly will at this point only be broken by an empty map thrown our way or by the release of the next game with mass PvP (so I heard there’s several in the works..).
And as you said, ANet is a business… Off the top of my head, I can think of several ways to make money out of GvG, and I’m not particularly the most creative person. Putting in the game mode would also spread it to people previously not involved in it, which would increase the revenue of it.

Okay, so WvW – you cap towers and keeps, for points, you want more points than the 2 other server, yay….. But what then? What if you get more points and “win”? Fine, you move up against the next ones (or so it used to be)
There is no real incentive to win because there’s nothing that comes out of it, I don’t call that meaningful warfare.
