Funny part is that i actually think that iron was real guild before. I don’t know maybe their leader quit or something. I just can’t respect PUG horders.

Puggy herders are required on every server and are a major part of how a server functions.
Having one large, recognisable guild doing it is even better, because even when you don’t recognise the commander names, you see the guild tag and know what to expect.

I noticed SFR was lacking there, even though I didn’t get the rudeness experience other people talk about, there is simply nothing to DO if you’re not in a guild.
I’ve seen sin doing some herding (<3), and zds once or twice, but for the rest if you see a commander it’s like YAYCOMMANDER….. Oh, wait, there’s 5 people on him…. Well, not like there’s anything else to do i guess.
I’m talking outside primetime now, during primetime I was preoccupied and didn’t see how commanders/pugs worked.

IRON don’t have ‘closed off meetings’ with ‘a few select guilds’. Everyone on Desolation knows that our TS is open for all to use, and that our weekly server meeting occurs, Yanox has done an awesme job of informing every guild be it PvE or WvW. The thing you on SFR don’t seem to grasp is that Desolation is a massive PvE server full with PvE guilds and PvX guilds.

This is fine ofc, but it does mean that it tends to be the same guilds at the weekly ‘what borderland should we be on’ meeting cause the other guilds have little or no interest in what goes on in WvW. Also, we don’t alienate our PUGs on Desolation we try to include them on every border since they are a great force, the Militia if you will, and deserve a great deal of respect.

Edit: Out of fairness, I have to edit my post, since it seems that our dear commander does have access to the meeting notes – he jsut didn’t last time I asked (about a week after the conversation about the notes).

However, the point which kinda got lost in my rant is that claiming Desolation is an open, all-inclusive server is beyond ridiculous, and nobody can really claim that with a straight face.

I would say more things but I’d probably get infracted and ip-banned from somewhere else again. (If this doesn’t do it… /ponder)

I wonder how much kittening there would be if you were in that position

Also, it’s not as easy as raising the caps, there are still horribly unbalanced servers, and raising the caps there would make it even worse.
While im a sucker for staying on the higher tiers, those aren’t the only ones which exist.

Honestly the only time where I’ve seen anything about cuddling up to SFR is the first week, where some commander I didn’t recognise was raging at people for attacking SFR camps.
For the rest it looks more like stuff had more to do with perceived strength than anything else – easier to take down Viz pug groups than SFR guild groups.

I was running with VoTF last night. They promised me lootbags.
The enemy stayed in their tower even though they massively outnumbered us

So when my game crashed, I went to shoot bugs somewhere else

Wasn’t SFR initially excluded from the list of worlds to which you could transfer for free?

If they’ve backed down on this, that’s another slap in the face of the WvW community tbh. It doesn’t exactly take a genius to foresee what happens, so the only logical explanation is that they made the offer to try and rebalance the server’s general populations, disregarding what would have happened to the WvW populations and the matchups’ balance.

It’s starting to be extremely annoying to always get B-class citizen treatment, in every single freaking MMO out there, whenever you’re not exclusively about PvE…

They’re not on the released list, but word quickly spread it was free regardless.
Also because most people didn’t even know the list existed, tried to transfer, and found out it worked for free npnp.

But then it wouldn’t have been free :p

Sorry to say but Deso pretty much was outmanned in mornings pre-transfers already ;p

Yeah the return of the Queues are a pain in the ring-hole. They are bad on Deso at prime time, Id fear to see what VS and SFR are like since they always have more/full BLs.

Also the next SFR poster to show some manners and respect to deso or VS(or any server for that matter), will get a free Easter egg. lets see if its possible..

Honestly, I would give that Easter egg to the next poster (regardless of server) who shows some respect for Anyone :p

Find a commander, follow the magnet and hope your server’s commanders are nice enough to either communicate in mapchat or offer a TS so you can listen.

In NA, mentioned 3 servers are the only medium servers 24/7.

If you want consistent primetime medium only on the list, you should prob remove SFR and check all the servers listed again at primetime

How can SFR still be medium it is allways que from 19.00 to 23.00.

Server population shows how many people are online at that time, not how many accounts are registered to that server.
On top of that, SFR has a very high concentration of WvW players, so a large part of those people will be in WvW, while servers as Desolation have more PvE players, meaning very little queus even during primetime.

VoTF = ‘leet’ … don’t make me laugh. VoTF joins the yanks to be their pvd guild and what happens? SoS get demoted to T2 and everyone jumps servers a second time. VoTF then join Deso and what happens? Let’s hope you don’t join SFR when you go down to T2… you seem to have a habit of joining successful servers and making them lose.

I never acused you of being the perfect stalker. Just dont hint people where to free transfer theres alot of servers out there that need people in wvwvw more than us not to mention with the new patch we anticipate a few of our guys to start playing again so we might not be medium when they try to transfer..and that would crush theyre souls and blame you for giving them false hope. So in the end im looking out for you.

I think you misunderstood me.

Many players are getting tired of skill lags of high-pop servers and looking for another server that has no lag, but still top wvw experience. I wanted this thread to be where small servers can advertise their greatness.

Plus, I see many recruitment threads saying "Come to our server, we have xxx ! " isn’t that convincing?

Recruitment posts/advertisements, sure (though not something I personally would base server choice on), but I always feel that people or guild telling servers to “convince” them is… Pretentious. What do you as an individual or guild have to offer to the server that they should court you specifically? Either you want to go, or you don’t.

Where did you see that ? Vizunah is at Very HIgh, few weeks ago it was full even in the morning.
All NA server exept 3 of them are at Very High. It’s time for them to come in EU if what you said is true

Yes, but it’s medium pop at this hour, people Will do quick logons before work for a quick transfer if they want to switch to certain servers.
Unless that is based on primetime numbers, something ANet hasn’t really done before, population listed is population at that very moment, and i wouldn’t be surprised if you could transfer for free as long as the server is listed as “medium” while you’re trying to transfer.
