check on “items im buying” and make sure you didnt accidently hit 4 instead of 3 or something along that line.
Trash fights are extremly boring, and if you do arah exp killing every single trash mob would add another 20+ minutes of padding that is so incredibly mind dulling that if it wasnt for the awesome invention called coffee i would probably have fallen asleep and my face would have continued playing for me, and probably succeded. trash is so easy, the only thing that makes them difficult is their absurd amount of HP. Strike that, trash and 90% of the bosses are so incredibl boring that if i could i would skip them just to get to the juicy lupis boss fight. I REALLY would love it if bosses could be similar to lupis. 2-3 phases that are challenging but somewhat easy with enough experience and group co-ordination. Although i would change phase 1 of lupis because that phase is boring….. not the mechanic, that one is alright but just standing there and and auto attacking cos it is the only skill you have that has 1200 range while everything else is for killing maggots.
TL;Dr: trash is boring, bosses are fun, getting awesome loot is fun. I play the game to have fun, not to kill the same 5 sponge enemies 2000x times.
No its not? Why would it be an exploit? Please show me where it says “dugeons are specific areas where the party has to kill every mob to advance.” There is a reason most mobs patroll an area: so that people that choose to can kill them or just walk past them depending on preferences.
Used to farm Jofast/shelter/pent regulary with full magic find gear, pirate&1 travler rune + omnomberry bar for about an hour and usually got 3-4 rares and around 24+ greens and countless blues and whites. Now if i farm pent/shelter/jofast i maybe get 1 rare and 5-8 greens with the same magic find. got to the point where i just salavegd my mf gear for globs + to get the runes back to sell em.
Also, did 8 dragons (2 shatterer, 4 claw, 2 tequila sunrise… i mean teqitl the sunless) and from the chests got 1 rare!!!! piece of gear (and around 3 crests of solider/magi or whatever the rare crests are called)and the guildies ive been doing this with report similar results. The drops in dungeons arent that much better, and if it wasnt for the chance to drop an onxy core/loadstone from a certain dungeon I wouldnt even be doing them.
Fractals on the other hand have insanly high drop chances compared to other dungeons and the open world. Usually every 2nd chest contains a rare and per run i nearly always get 1-2 rares from mobs + the jade maw chest usually has at least 1-2 rares and a pretty good chance at containing a random core/loadstone.

and to the poster above: under what context? when did the guardian say it? right at the start? or after the 15th whipe because you kept screwing up? If people dont even explain the situation fully I always asume they are covering up to make it sound like they are the victim.
PS: This applies the same way to the “LFxM no necros” for all we know they might already have 3 necros and would like to have another class instead of more necros… I found myself in plenty situations where i said “ok, no more warriors/thiefs. already got 2 of those, dont need anymore”
Agreed with terok, I dont know many people that complain about necros and dungeons. We have decent damage, good suriviabilty and bring a ton of condition convertion/boon convertion, aoes and general utility (blind, chill, cripple, bleed, poision, a pull, weakness etc) that we can apply regulary. It really just depends how you play the necro and bring the right skills to the right fight.
Generally, most of the complain about necros is our lack of mobility/preventing people to escape us. And bugged minion AI. So yeah, pve is fine.
Actually, the judge would read the description on the website and ask Anet lawyers if Necro has Minions that will do your bidding. They will say yes, however due to players in-ability to master minions they don’t always perform as expected and believe that it is a bug instead of an intended feature. Then JS will comment in the necro forum that minions are so incredibly OP that the moment people learn how to properly use them they will instantly be nerfed, thus replacing L2DS with L2Minion.
But honestly, minions do work. yes they are bugged sometimes (my minions work properly more often then they do not) but their core mechanics function like described.
So really, stop crying around and threatining anet with lawyers. And if it really comes down to it, good luck suing anet, I bet it will only take 1-2 years to finally get into court, during which time they probably will have fixed the issue, meaning you will loose the case thus having to pay the lawyer and court fees.
Personally, when I think of necromancers the first thing that pops into my mind is baldurs gate followed by D2.
Now, I do understand that necros in guild wars cannot ressurect humanoid creatures because Zhaitan co. has the rights for them and Tyria has stright copy right regulations, however i feel like the class in general feels like an after thought. They seriously cant tell me that our undead pets are limited to what we have now (which feels like we robbed the local pet cemetry to get our minions). Simply put, they look crap. They dont look undead. Undead stuff has bones poking out of them, mold hanging from them, pale due to lack of blood which already drained from their dead bodies long before they were resurrected, they also follow without question every command (not stand there and watch as their master fights a monster). And they look intimidating. Like "holy sheet, this thing looks scary. Not “awh look at it, its a skinned rabbit. Qick call PETA”
Instead they could have given us undead gryphons, bull minotaurs, rock-dogs, flocks of undead birds like ravens and hawks, siege devours, trolls and all the other cool stuff amd actually make it look undead, not just skinned alive and somehow being able to survive.
And well, we do kinda draw life force from things when they die but yeah i think they should have done more with that.
But generally, when it comes down to it, gw 2 necromancer is still closer to the “classic” necromancer then “classic” demon master or warlock. Still, its a pathetic necromancer compared to the first gw, d2 or baldurs gate.
Also, take into consideratino that in gw 2 aoe attacks only hit 5 enemies max. so having a necromancer that could summon 20 pets would be pretty much a counter to every aoe, thus making necros a requirment in every WvWvW zerg + I doubt my pc could handle it if 3 mm necros would ever run into each other. My pc already struggles with the ascalon fractal.
agreed. GW2 really doesnt deserve it at the moment. DR, buggy one time events, class balancing really needs another look-over etc. overall there is just to much stuff that needs to be fixed before it deservers a goatee.

eh, we have spectral grasp-thingy that interupts + pulls the boss towards us. and golem knock-down. but i agree, engineers and hammer warriors/guardians have some serious advantage now because their skills are so much more spammable and dont use up an utility and elite skill slot.
Nope I’m not using terror, using the 20% more duration on bleeds. although i might consider changing that cos i heard that terror does some decent damage.
I just read the patch notes along with some forums posts about how useless necro now is that fear is affected by defiant but…. earlier today I did a few dungeons (tixx and fractals) and my fears still ticked trough, no matter how many stacks of defiant the boss had. Anyone else experienced the same or are my eyes just playing tricks on me?
Saved up 3 keys from map completion and thought now was a good time to use them. Opened 3 chests and got
1st chest:
1 Copper
1 blacklion merchant express
1 heavy bag of coin (containing 5s ._.)
2nd chest:

1 heavy bag of coin (containing 7.5s)

Conclusion = black lion keys and chests are even more worthless now.
1: yes you only have to press it once.
2: No you cannot have multiple forms up, you can however swap between them. (if you switch from bleed to blind your ticks wont bleed anymore and instead blind. cant have both.)
Lich in PvE depends. In boss fights lich is a lot more usefull due to the high dps is can put out which plague just cant keep up. Generally, you want to use plague only for the perma aoe blind, which isnt very usefull due to boss mobs having a 90% blind resist chance. However, in some situations it can be more usefull. Example: the colossus arms. I usually switch to necro plague form there and just lock down one position to prevent the mobs from healing the seal. However, I do switch to lich for the boss fight.
In the end it comes down to what the situation requires. Multiple mobs that deal a lot of damage = plague form. A few mobs with high hp = lich.
I want to be able to buy new skins for minions. Like having a flying cheesburger instead of a bloodfind, or a potato instead of a boneminion.
+1 that way i dont have to run warhorn and spectral walk to constantly keep up swiftness and just use the signet which i would prefer for roaming.
you should have put a “in wvwvw” there.
Also, try fighting in areas that limit the thiefs mobility. Small corridors, capture points etc. obviously you cant always choose when and where to engage but if you get attacked by a thief and you know there is a restrictive area close by, try to retreat to there. No amount of mobility helps you if you only have 2 options: stay in the aoe and die or move out and lose the capture point. Another thing you can do when the thief enters stealth is placing 2 marks behind you in a way so that they cover your sides and back. stealth only lasts maybe 5 sec max. while marks last a lot longer. Obviously, because back and sides are coverd he cant back stab you, and if the thiefs tries he trickers one, which gives you enough time to retreat on top of the other mark. Or the thief tries to frontal heart seeker spam you which is just…. lol usually those people are the same ones that keep standing in your aoe trying to heartseeker you down. just drop whatever aoe you have and DS4 and watch him melt away.
Now, another thing is: usually a thief will start their combo with steal, backstab and the stolen 3s fear. So i usually try to hit DS as soon as possible and send them a fear in return. fear sends the thief in the opposite direction for 1s, which they also have to move back to. Which means the thief can only utulize 1 seconde (even less if traited for longer fears) out of the 3 seconde fear meaning they can pull of less damage before the fear ends.
No power? Sure its a condition build but your auto attacks, staff marks, DS and wells are going to hit like a wet noodle with all of your damage relying on conditions. Id recommend a mix of carrion and rabid (carrion is power/cond/vit) and rabid. Your condition damage will be the same but you will lose some crits in favour of having a higher damage output trough AA, Marks, wells and DS which is more consistend then havign to rely on crits to rack up bleed stacks quickly. Also, when running in dungeons you wont be the only one stacking bleed, so even if you could in theory stack 20 bleeds, practicaly it wouldnt happen because you would hit the bleed cap way before that. I would also swap Dagger mastery with Life transfes. Life transfer heals an easy 1.5k hp for the whole group and yourself and its quick which is imo better then lowering your cds by 1-2secs only on dagger.
Also, having more power is a lot more usefull in boss fights. Bosses have a 90% immunity to blinds, making plague and well of darkness not exactly the best choice, same as epidemic so before the boss fight you can swap to lich, well of power and blood is power or whatever else you prefer for higher damage out put. or replace them with sigil of undead to insta ress downed allies which is especially useful in fractals.
I get that you dont want more vitality thanks to agony but agony isnt the only thing that is going to hit hard in fractals.

Im running a cond. mancer with wells and epidemic and every zerg rush i maybe get 1-2 bags which usually dont even contain any badges. Tried farming them for my gift but gave up and now just do the jumping puzzles each day with my characters for the badges.
Seriously, spaming wells into the zerg, then staff marks, pick the target with the most cond and hit epidemic and just see numbers flying around everywhere and i barley get any loot. The only time ive ever seen a serious amount of loot bags was when i was on the cannon during a siege which lasted for about 30mins and even then i only got only 16 badges, while the other 20 bags contained only blues and scaps. maybe a green.
Ofcourse they are still possible, but i highly doubt that they are on the scale you expect them to be. Anet already said that changes will happen slowley.
Also, one of our traits will also be changed. Gluttony will be fixed and gets bugged… i mean buffed, as confirmed by JP. Maybe they will do some other small changes (tweak numbers etc) but i doubt that they will move around traits or add/remove some. Untill a new expansion that is.
It would also be nice if we had a “last online tab” so i know which of my 289 members i can kick if they are not active for a month.
Also, I dont like the guild chat proposal. Too many people would abuse it by representing their own “small and dead” guild for rep while talking to people from other guilds so they dont feel lonley.
Try to change the message each time. add a smiley face or say fotm instead of fracs, or fractals or fractals of the mists or fractals of the mists of pandaria maybe throw in a “hey LF2M fracs lv. 10” etc etc.
Personaliy id prefer if they would just add a lfg tool. Register your character and what dungeon you are in and it throws you in a chat room with other people that want to do the dungeon. Makes it easy to find groups.

Just look at them like any other dungeon and just do them, you can repeat lv.1 if it bothers you that much. Also, the swamp one is the easiest if you can pay attention to whats below (just constantly jumping avoids 90% of the traps xD) and having proper team comunication. and with communication i mean “3 2 1 go!” cos thats about all you need.
And you know what is hard? The Legendary Imbued Grawl Shaman. IMO the hardest boss out of all the fractals.
And if you dont like it dont do it. Afterall a game is supposed to be played for fun and missing out on 20 mystic coins and 10 jugs of karma isnt that big of a deal (60s if you sell em and 25k karma, you can easily get that in less then a day) the reward is really just a small bonus. . .
nope it doesnt. otherwise people would go dagger/offhand with trait (10% MS), use spectral walk (33% MS) and enter DS with the 15% increased movement speed and and have + MS 58%. Maybe add 6 runes of the travler for another 5% movement speed and you would see necros flying past you in WvWvW and then disapear again before anyone even notices it. Id call them the Speedomancers. Mabye would ask anet to add a speedo skin in game….. to bad it doesnt work like that though
Necros are awesome bunker killers. Guardians wheep when they encounter a well-played necro (that was a pun incase people didnt notice it… im funny alright) well of corruption turns all boons into conditions, and once the guardians buffs are gone and turned into conditions I go in with my dagger/dagger zerker geared and chomp at him with 4k auto attack chains. Usually pop DS once hes at 40% to prevent knockdowns and some life blasts and life drain. Overall the guardian either sits in your wells and dies really quickly or he moves and loses the capture point, thus ruining the whole point off the bunker build (wells are a little bit smaller then the capture point, but once the guardian moves to the edge you can just fear him out and root/continue fearing him with warhorn 4 and dagger 3 or staff 5 depending on your build.
Also, necros have the highest base hp followed by warriors, so even a full class cannon necro has still around 20-22k hp coupled with DS and our instant fear that we can trigger no matter what situation we do have some pretty good defense against burst damage.
Also, plague perma blind. Pop it in a team fight and you seriously screw over the enemy team.
And to the people that say “people dont stand in wells” they actually do. especially if they defend a capture point. And if you root them with your warhorn 4 dagger 3.
so much hate for this game at the moment. the bug could happen in one of those me+duo backstab thiefs, random person and MR. Hey, first time trying this class out vs. well balanced guild team that roflstomps us in the tournament. No, instead it happens when the roles are reversed and its me +well rounded guild team vs. team backstab thieves.
It happend to me once yesterday and around 5x just today.

Necros are pretty good imo. we dont really have to spec in survivability to have above average health and with a little bit of thoughness you easily survive backstab thieves and 100b warriors. So we pretty much have a natural advantage over all those class cannon builds. We have great bunker builds that take forever to kill (nearly impossible just by yourself), and even going full zerker D/D and D/W with 30 points in DS and power with 10 points in toughness we still have a good deal of surivivabilty (more then other classes speccing into vit) and deal decent damage. In the end it obviously comes down to how well you play.
In PvE we can easily take on higher level mobs and just kite them and generally kill them without much trouble, even take on multiple mobs (i usually get a pack of 5 in orr and just well bomb and DS4 and they are nearly dead) using a condition&power well support build with Scepter/D and OH staff.
Sadly our minion builds are next to useless. not because they have crappy AI but mostly because in a half serious fight they drop so fast you barley even see it happening making them next to useless in nearly every single boss fight(minions dont dodge red circles sadly).
Never really botherd with minions in PvP.
In WvWvW it hardly matters what you play. Throw some AoE in the zerk hit epidemy and thats it.
My hatred for commanders first starting developing after listening to all caps commanders yelling “BUILD A RAM HERE” “TARGET THE ARROW CARTS” “RES DOWNED PLAYERS” “NEED MORE PEOPLE ON SM” < when all our supplie camps are being captured and a tower was attacked. Im still waiting for a commander telling me in caps lock to target players with red names. Also, those arrogant jerks that stand in front of the bank and afk while commander is on. Mind you, im not going to swear at you, but i definatly find it annoying. That and I dislike the colour blue.
So yeah, im totally for an option to show/hide the commander icon while in cities. Its not even needed there, its just for wvwvw everything else can be done by linking a POI and meeting up there or asking map chat were the events are going on.
Dont get to close to the illusions, spam aoe , ??? profit. Seriously though, shatter hurts. The illusions move slowly towards you, usually in a circle. They also have little hp so one hit is enough to tell if its the real one or not. Clones also dont have conditions or buffs, burn is pretty usefull that way. A pretty cheap tactic is to call them out as targets once you have identified the real one ctrl+left click which i hope they fix. Thats all i can think of atm.
1) Stealth stomps. Why are thiefs allowed to stealth stomp but necros have to leave DS or time it perfectly to do a shroud stomp?
2) Calling out a target on mesmers should be removed. Part of the whole thing is to let skill decide the fight (which also means to tell apart the illusions/clones), and not let the game do the thinking for you.
3) Team mates that let you lying in downed state next to a downed warrior just to chase that 30% hp thief thats going to get away anyway. Its like being trapped in a room with a dead guy thats going to turn into a zombie and all you can do is throw pebles at him and hope someone finds you. Otherwise the warrior just presses 3 followed by a hundred blades to my face and bye bye.
4) Why do kills award so much glory and rank points but capturing a point barley gives you anything? sure those 10 points for taking something is nice but in the meantime i could go with the zerg and get myself 3x that amount just by spamming aoes in the zerg. Winning should give better rewards while kills should award points if you defend or try to take a capture point. (regular kills should maybe give 2 glory points). More structure, less mindless rush.
5) Number 3 downed state for thiefs. So im about to ram a spear trough thatt thiefs head, but suddenly he becomes invisible and my character misses? They dont even move. Stomps should have an area of effect circle that kills one target that is downed and in that area. Heck, at the moment its quicker to just burst them down instead of bothering with a stomp thats not even going to land anyway.
6) Endless Loading screens. Pretty self-explaining.
7) Trebuchets/cannons/sharks. its pvp Player vs Player and not Shark Vs Player or Trebuchet that nearly oneshots you vs player. Leave those objects out of the game. Or if we have them only use them to destroy walls (a siege mode in this game would be nice)
8) Lack of game modes. A game that was released in 2012 and with a back ground in pvp such as GW should have more then 1 game mode with slight variations depending on the map. (Capture the point and kill the lord, capture the point and kill the beasts, capture the point and collect buffs. So much creativity going on there)
9) Auto balancing: Congratulations, your team played well enough to make the enemy rage quit. Now to ruin all that effort you put into it, all the time you spend defending capture points is going to be a waste and we will send you to the enemy team. /leave game.
10) No leave penality: People that quit mid-game not only screw your team over but also the enemy team. Its also has a snow ball effect were suddenly half the team just leaves. Add a leave penality like reduced glory gain for the next match or unable to join another game for 30mins. That way people at least wait for the game to finish. And add an AFK penality aswell. Someone standing on one point for 5mins should be kicked and given a leave penality aswell.
Seriously, a game is maybe 15mins long. Im sure people can wait that long….
11) The pvp lobby list: This shouldnt even be there. The option to have your own pvp room is nice but other then that it just annoying. I would rather wait 5min to join a pvp game and having them always at 16/16 instead of joining a game and suddenly it goes from 14/16 to 4/16 and i have to find another room because it just feels so dead with nothing going on.
12) PvP maps are way to small to the point that dying barley has a consequence. Someone dies and 20secs later they are back for more. Bigger maps please :x
Just raging, im sure there are a billion x gazzilion threads that explain how i feel a lot better. But those are a bunch of things that i noticed after playing pvp for a day and it already gets anoying.
Could a mod kindly remove the posts from KirinDave and Dredlord? Honestly, you guys can start another thread talking about the effectivness of target the weak, but dont hijack this thread.
Personally, I dont find necros weak, however, to simply perform on the level of a noob thief who justs mugs, backstabbs and then spams HS, you have to put in a lot of effort. Thats probably why most people complain. That, and because our trait lines are just messed up and lack any form of co-ordination. And minions arent exactly reliable (if they dont stand around and actually attack they usually get wiped out with one AoE attack). So yeah, thats my 2cents.
Personally i still find them weak even in large battles. Conditionmancers rely to much on epidemic which can be easily counterd by a guardian using his shouts and the thingy that turns conditions into buffs. Rarley do i ever kill people by using epidemic. . . it does deal damage but it doesnt kill and more often then not it gets cleansed in a matter of seconds. I mean, i get my whole combo off and use nearly every skill i have and it can be counterd by pressing 2 buttons that both have a 60sec cd untraited.
So yeah, i mostly sit with my necro in yaks overlook and treb SM to take a wall down for the heck of it.
Agony ticks for 1/8 of your health, so if it ticks at 1/4 of your health in DS we just confimred that conditions do double damage while in DS, as was mentioned before, although people didnt have any solid proof. Hope this gets fixed in future patches.

Imo they should break it up in braktes. I honestly didnt notice an increase in drop rates or difficulty between level 1-5. after lv. 6 we got 6 fractals coin thingies instead of 5! amazing. So the next braket could be 6-9. At lv. 10 agony is introduced and the daily chests have a chance of giving an ascended ring. so make a braket for lv. 10 +.
If that makes any sense. Finding groups should then be a lot more easier that way.
Holy crap, the amount of crying and over reacting. Seriously? You complain about people being able to spend more time in a video game and you are angry that you cant? Or are you complaining that all the good people want to play challenging content with other good players so theres noone left to carry you?
Also, this is one dungeon. ONE out of 9. And if you farm lv. 1 you will still be able to find all the mats needed to make ascended gear. You get the same amount of tokens on each level. So, why are you complaining? The dungeon just came out there are plenty of people that look for lv.1 groups, and i bet you there will be plenty of people in 2 months that have new characters and want to start a fresh FotM group.
Also, this dungeon wont become some “elite dungeon only for a selected few” theres no limit that says “you need this much skill and equipment to enter”. Its not even on paar with what you guys call “raid-content difficulty” because the first 10 levels are about being able to properly dodge and perform simple tactics with a lot of breathing room trough down state + team mates that can res midfight. Noone is going to gear check you in the lower levels and ask for lv. 80 in exotics with ascended gear only (well maybe we might have some nut cases like that). That wont happen until it absolutley becomes necessary. And by that time you probably will have farmed enough gold (seriously, doing 5 levels and im 5g + trough rare drops and mats) to get full exotics and should be level 80 aswell. And have enough mats to start making your ascended gear.
to be honest, my Lv.1 group was absolutley kittykitten. No cordination and you would assume they played with one hand on the mouse and the other scratching their snickers bar with the amount of attention they payed to dodging or generally performing simple tasks. With that being said, once i got to lv. 3 I pretty much ended up in groups that knew what to do and did it well. So patience is all i can suggest.
Fractures of the mists of pandaria? Up to level 5. I got lucky and got 2 very good groups in a row + we got the 3 easiest dungeons (underwater, ice map and lava) 2 times in a row (different order though) and the lv. 5 big boss fight was the same as the lv. 2 big boss fight. Have yet to encounter agony and it doesnt appear as if the difficulty ramps up quickly (only difference i noticed was that in some monster pack they thew in an extra vet mob and with all the aoe it might as well not ahve been there)
if we have 1000 Life force, an increase of 30% would be 1300, and 300 out of 1300 is 23%
All this QQ. . . I still remember when I complained about exotic gear being to hard to obtain and that it actually did require grind (this was during the first 2 weeks after launch) and everyone and their mothers jumped on me and told me that I shouldnt expect them to hand out their gear for free and what not + that all content is beatable in regular green equipment and that everything after that is just unnecessary and only makes it a bit easier. There was also some mentioning about L2P and other insults i forgot.
So I am going to do the exact same thing because revenge is bitter sweet. and cold. Revenge is lemon ice cream:
The new content will be do-able with current exotics, and if you have trouble, well L2P noob, after all this game is based on skill, right?
Also, its an endless dungeon. As in, you can play for 40 hours straight and still not finish. Each run will be more difficult with better rewards. So, for all we know this new ascendent gear with agony resistence might not even be relevant untill 2-3 hours into the dungeon. Considering all you “casuals” QQ the moment a dungeon run takes longer then an hour I doubt you will progress far enough into the dungeon to even encounter this agony debuff and what not.
Also dont expect the gear to be handed in for free. You have to work for it. You probably also want them to hand out legendaries once you reach level 80. And that you have a button that instantly levels you up to 80 (because leveling = grinding)
If i forgot any insults/common statemants that haters/fanbois usually throw around the moment someone complains about legendaries or exotics or says something involving grind, feel free to remind me and i’ll edit it into my post.
P.s: We dont even exactly know how this ascended gear works and what not, throwing fits when you dont even know the whole situation makes me sick. Very mature.
A while ago i read trough the D3 forums and noticed that everyone QQed about barbs being way to op, and that monks and Demon Hunters need a buff.
Which reminded me of a few months ago, where they had the same situations, just the other way around, with Demon Hunters being OP and Monks having some ability that made them immortal if it was linked with other monks, while barbs had it extremly difficult in inferno.
Just thought it would be hilarious if this would happen to GW2 when suddenly after the patch necros would be extremly OP (having all bugs fixed and abilites buffed) and warriors and thieves get nerfed to the ground.

Minions with auras would be nice that you can either position somewhere or attach to another player (have an undead bunny riding on that guardian for increased movment speed and a short quickness boost). If it just sits around it would be like a banner that gives buffs and what not to everyone around you, and if you attach it to a player it gives even better buffs, but only to that player.
I mean, who wouldnt be inspired to perfom better when they see a cute, undead zombie rabit. Or an even more cute undead zombie turtle. . .
One of our major trait lines that affect our core mechanic doesnt even work, as was confirmed by a red. That should pretty much tell you how bugged this class is.
(talking about the soul reaping trait line which doesnt give an increase in life force).
If its “the worst class in the game” i cant say. Necros can compete with eles and engies on that part. However, the upcoming patch apperently has 5 pages worth of bug fixes and class changes, so lets see how stuff changes.
All I can say sofar is that untill necro bugs are fixed we dont know how good/bad they actually are.
The world isnt dynamic and the content is way to easy. It really is just a work of art, like visiting a gallery to look at pictures with a little bit of action packed in.
Overall, the game has barley any lore, and the bit of lore it has you actually have to go wayyyy out your way to find it.
The content is so easy, the moment someone struggles with completing it massive QQ threads get started (Mad kings clock tower, 2nd path of CoE just to name some examples) because people arent used to any challenges anymore.
Their main focus point at level 80 is to aquire exotic skins, but considering that there are only what…. 2-3 stat options for each dungeon skin? Out of a dozen different stat options? So you have to buy fine transmutation stones if you want the skin you like + stats that you can actually use (unless you are lucky enough that the stats the set provides match up with your play style). Way to go anet!
I could keep on ranting, but overall the game has a lot of flaws.
Is it good? Yes. Although I didnt list any good points in this game, it has those. Is it “the best game mmo ever” no, not even close. Its a lot like Diablo 3 in that perspective. Good but far far below what it promised and was expected to be.
Overall ive had 253 Hours playtime and 90% map exploration. It was and still is worth the $60 I spend on it, and as long as free new content rolls in I play it again for a few hours. However, I highly doubt that I will pay for any additional content (may that be new content or cash shop items.)
A forum mod already said that they do it at that time because thats when they have the highest player activity.
I loved the Mad kings clock tower. It was frustrating in a challenging way and it made me feel like I actually managed to achieve something. And everytime I actually managed to get a bit further up then before I got nervous but happy at the same time and my heart would beat just a little faster while my head screams “now be careful and dont mess up” just to mess up the next jump and fail. But it was fun.
And yes, I also had to deal with lag that killed me, people blocking my view (never had camera issues considering I always kept my finger on the right mouse to adjust the camera angle so i rarley had to use another key besides W to adjust my jumps).
Eventually I managed to make it to the top, but didnt know that i had to time it so i jumped before the glass broke T.T and i did it again and again until i got it right. Overall took me 2-3 hours to complete but it was awesome and I seriously hope that they will add more jumping puzzles such as this one to the game, simply because I love challenging content.
Also, I did the ct at the same time with a few other people in my guild and we had all fun doing it. . .
To everyone that disagrees and says it sucked: There is plenty of stuff I hate, for example WvWvW. But I dont stand there and write QQ threads about it, demanding that it is made easier so that i can get my epic pvp gear and achievments. Somethings just arent made for everyone so please stop complaining and move on and leave that content to people that actually enjoy it.
With that being said, great job Josh and im looking forward to an equally if not more challenging puzzle for the november update, or x-mas. Preferably for both
