u cant search for condi traits in a power line same as i cant get power traits in a condi line. necro is not 100% hybrid anymore get over it.

im ok with these changes talking from a pve standpoint. blood magic will be replaced with reapers and were golden. so i have nothing to cry about if this comes to the live servers

ok consume conditions is dead but… im not even mad. they have not left banshees wail in a condi line, we got a 8 stacks might group support and the siphon aura and the teleport downed thingy and…. i see things to test and learn…axe training is worth it again… i really like this one. how about you guys?

rush has a 20sec cd, swoop has a 12 sec cd and rtl has a 20sec cd. with the new movement impairing condition change to movement skills all of these should become 15sec cd with double the cd (30sec) if u miss it because this adds some counterplay to them but its not ridiculous IMO.

so necro changes:

Last Gasp in the Soul Reaping Line – now categorized as a spectral skill and affected by spectral traits. Additionally, recharge reduced from 60s to 50s.

Spectral Armor – Recharged reduced from 60s to 50s

Unholy Sanctuary in the Death Magic Line – In addition to healing, this trait will now activate Death Shroud if you have enough Life Force when you take a lethal blow (i..e an attack that would kill you). This trait has 30s internal CD and even if your Death Shroud is on cooldown it will circumvent that cooldown.

Death Shroud – can now interact with things while in Death Shroud form. You can now rez allies or finish downed enemies.

ok this one adds counterplay, little but atleast something its ok

Necrotic Slash – Stab and Bite have all of their targets increased from 1 to 2. This means you will have a slight cleaving effect on your dagger abilities. As it is with Thief, the positive effect from these abilities can only occur once per swing.
we already knew this but i still wanna say something. its just awesome and exactly what we needed.

Locus Swarm – Duration of swiftness increased from 10s to 15s

the locust swarm is 30cd and 10sec long swiftness then is 15 and why? visibilty? no
traited its 15sec long and the swiftness 22.5? wtf that number we already had perma swiftness look at the guard to give swiftness this is not mobility and if it doesnt increase with the trait its 15sec duration like the swarm…like it is now.
this skill was already a rly good one take another skill to buff

Lich Form – Transformation reduced from 30s to 20s. Reduced its power scale to the player’s normal power scale. To compensate for this, we have increased the damage multipliers of the Lich abilities to be about what it was before. This change ensures your Lich Form damage remains as high as before but Signal of Fire/Air and other outside activations don’t deal exponential damage.
it was rly good from them to see that the duration is the problem and not the dmg (xD) thx for pve btw you missed that plague (CONDI) still has power increase ;D
but im ok with this

the symbol thing would be nice but will not happen cause thats what it was before
i would like a speed signet too or the idea that i saw on another post to make renewed focus a signet with 25% speed as passive but that would make it op with the other signet traits (20% better passive (25%+20%=swiftness?), cd reduction, condi clear)

hey im sorry but most of youre suggestions are ridiculously op.
-you want to give thiefs and necros dagger 3-target cleave like eg a sword/greatsword?
-aoe life siphon?
-wail of doom: just no
-the staff detonates are a nice idea but youre combinations are broken
-frost armor and protection (43% dmg reduction!) on a 16(20) sec cd aoe…
-vigor (and regen) for the vigorless class (would be nice but…)
-well of blood water field? no if then dark field too but light is ok
now it begins:
-pulsing stability like the guardian for 6 pulses on a 40(50) sec cd! (see at guard to compare)
-suffering:2!!!!! stacks torment(!!!!) and vuln and massive dmg for 7 pulses on a 28(35) sec cd are you kidding me its already rly good
-spetral wall fears and is a thief absorb wall at the same time for 7 1/5 (6) sec. on a 36(35) sec cd. i know its not reflect but our spectral traits are too good for that
-signet of undeath: it was so low then they nerfed it because it stomped in pvp (maybe pve version only?)
-plague:unkillable poisining bleeding blinding tormenting crippling dooooooom…ok imo plagua power that needs to go and it needs better condi power but that would make your existing condis before plague op

and yes we need blast finisher

so overall im quite happy youre not in the balance team but we need changes
anet needs to be careful cause we can get over the top very fast (dumbfire)

so thers one idea i had and i dont know how many had this before:
if youre condi you need strenth for the condi dmg and discipline for precision
if youre power you need discipline for precision and crit dmg and strenth for strenth
(the other 2 are not in the meta but theoretically fine)
so you need 2 banners no matter what which is bad imo it should be:
condi: condi dmg and precision (the combo as always)
power: power and crit dmg (kind of a sniper thing)

just an idea… i know that as a power user you would need both for the precision either way but the current combination is just to good for power users (and yes i wanna wvw killshot with a sniper banner ^^)

thank you so much spoj great explanation. i thought so aswell with my rotation for sigil of battle and without strength runes for strength sigils. im just gonna stay with my current setup. love it that i get an answer from somebody who has a guide of the same setup as im running. i read your post and its almost exactly how my build developed over the time i was playing (havent read a guide for my build) what a coincidence thx

help: pve sigil choice

so ive been running with force and accuracy for a long time and want to know if theres a better choice for pve dungeon PUG group runs:

-bloodlust/perception: i know there better but i cant keep the stacks in a pug environment
-force/accuracy: my current setup cause they are just flat buffs that i dont lose on down
-air/fire: i dont know which is better or if they are worth in pve
-strenth/battle: i dont know how much might i can get and i how much i need so its worth it
-something else?

im running a full zerker 6/6/0/0/2 dagger build so i have decent crit chance and dmg.
i like the crit chance increase because i often dont have spotter/banners or 100% fury uptime and almost never might stacking.
my might is always so low that i dont know if its worth to invest in a might sigil but im constanty swapping from my warhorn to my focus so an on weapon swap sigil would be great wouldnt it?
but i have a fast hitting and critting autoattack so oncrit sigils would be good too?
or are the percent dmg increase sigils the best after all?

important information: i dont have runes of strenth but if theres a big dps increase with might sigils and blood is power im willing to invest in it

so what are you running on your power necro?

so how does the dmg increase work? i saw it doesnt even work on launch so i wonder if it even works on stunned enemys from other sources than ele? and because you cant stun in pve is worthless so uses?

so your lightning hammer does more dmg from attunement traits, your axe dmg increase increases deathshroud dmg so does the rifle mod trait(+ 10% dmg with rifle) increase the dmg from all my kits that i use when i have a rifle and not a pistol? thinking of taking this in a bomb build over the vuln traits…thx for an answer

so i just found somebody who told me necros have a better protection uptime than guardians and wanna know if i miss anything to say thats kittened:
we have 2 skills that grants protection
spectral armor 6sec on 60sec cd (9sec on 48sec cd if traited)
spectral wall 5sec on 45sec cd (5sec on 36sec cd if traited)
and the trait ritual of protection that grants 3sec protection per well use
also you get boon duration from the death magic tree and you could get runes for it
so all in all i wouldnt say necros have the best protection uptime because who places a fear wall to get protection (only once) and who has that if youre not in a terror build anyways
you have to get 2 traits with an investvent of 30points for only 1 good spell spectral armor which yes is a rly good skill but not only because of the protection uptime
last option is wells and im not placing wells randomly to get protection when im in pvp
and we have condi conversion to get protection…yeah
so can anybody say me why some people are saying that when they look on a random necro they always have protection i myself am not even using spectral armor so i have 0 protection…can somebody say me the general guardian protection uptime
so have i missed anything

before hating im not saying this needs to be changed we have enough mitigation like for example ds ^^

my online editor says its like 8+% crit dmg from the 6th bonus with valkyrie ascended armor + valkmix trinket and valk weapons but you can get it higher with traits and food easily

before the feature patch you could equip the trait and then equip something else like speedy kits to get the buff for like 2 hours for your first kit swap. this was rly useful for my sd engi to get a speed buff when i swap into my tool kit for exactly that reason only. now they fixed it… you lose the buff and with it the last use of this overnerfed trait…

so after crit dmg nerf with the implimentation of ferocity and the celestial nerf i theorycrafted about using valkyrie gear with rune of the worm to get crit dmg for a 100% crit chance backstab thief
i dont have the time and money to test this ingame right now so can anybody say me if this is good and some opinions

so im waiting for the patch so i decided to post my skin idea for the blood fiend necro healing spell. i only like the blood fiend and the worm minion because i can kill them when i want and so i got an idea for my life stealing friend.
i know that we will probably not get minion skins but i had the idea of a(vampire) bat skin for the blood fiend maybe a undead version of a bat.
so yeah thats all just wanted to let you know im open for discussion bye

Hey guys
i wanted to do a condi dmg build for my engi and i fell in love with all the vitality to condi dmg things so i thought i want to max my condi dmg into infinity and look how high i can get

Disclaimer
this is just for fun i dont want to play like this and i dont advise anybody to do so i tried this in an online editor

so first the trait setup is 0 30 10 30 0
so condi dmg
toughness->condi dmg
vitality->condi dmg

then i took blood injection for 7% conversion from vitality to condi dmg

so full ascended dire gear and dire/rabid accessories (cause theres nothing else)
all condi infusions
sigill of corruption(25 stacks condi dmg)
sigill of bursting(6% condi dmg)

bowl of orrian truffle soup (condi+vitality)
master tuning crystal(toughness/vitality->condi dmg)

25 stacks of might (just a theory remember?)

if you take a flame thrower you could get a good fire and bleed uptime IN PVE ONLY and you wont lose so much duration because of the condi caps and fire stacking and youre rly tanky just as an idea

so what are you guys thinking?

have i missed anything?
