I’d rather they just remove all 25% run speed traits/skills and Swiftness from the game and just buff out of combat movement for everyone by 25-33%.

lazyness rules ehh. its like removing might and vuln and fury from pve because its capped out anyways. im ok with removing 25% traits and signets because swiftness is so easy to get. that doesnt mean that i want swiftness removed. i think this part of active play shouldnt be removed especially because of pvp.

if u think reaper is bad for pve and u need a 25% run increase to be viable in pve and u cannot switch your weapon or traits for ooc movement speed then dont take it. its as simple as that. reaper is not a glue that fixes every single problem anybody will ever have in every single gamemode. its really good btw especially really fun and if u think that a traitline that gives u 25 perma vuln and 50 crit chance has nothing for pve then have a nice day.

maybe because its a deep flaw in the engine that cant be easily fixed and it applys to all and every skill variant for every class? engi is not special. lets hope they can do something but dont get your hopes up. minions needed to pick flowers for 3 years.

Exactly! So why is our new mechanic gated behind a major while others get it in their minor? That is the point the OP is trying to make. You can think his suggestion is over the top or what not but it doesnt change the fact that it is gated.

if you really want to be so nitpicky you want to lose the mechanic steal and you want to lose the 50 extra endurance but you want 3 different dodges to choose out of combat and 3 new traits? because reaper, berserker, tempest and dragonhunter get their core mechanic replaced not added. only chronomancer gets something added without a loss of something (technically berserker is between both as they have access their normal bursts but also lose access to them in berserk mode).

i must admit just adding the opion is a cool idea but with the strength of the rest of the specilisation traits and the WAY TOO EARLY release date anet set themselves i doubt they could balance it. not to speak of tempest, forge and dryad but thats a whole other story.

great you took my words completely out of context.
-you can compare major traits on the same tier
-you can compare minor traits on all tiers
-you can switch tiers without changing anything

because you have to select one of each tier anyways.

so you want to get all waypoint and then start doing map completion? why not do both at the same time. i have 13 map completions (i know im a maniac) and it does not take a long time if u have dedication. if you have a free weekend you should be done if you know how. i have done map completion on all classes so just take as much swiftness and mobility as possible so your gs sword/warhorn setup is perfect. have fun

this is as ridiculous as necromancers asking to have BOTH death shroud and reapers shroud at the same time. both have their advantages and disadvantages. having both would be insane.

and the everlasting stupid argument: BUT ITS A GRANDMASTER!!!!!1111... in the new trait system there is no difference between adept and grandmasters. you have to pick the entire traitline doesnt matter what. grandmasters are most of the time the strongest trait only because of the old trait system. its just that you have to put equally strong traits at the same tier to create a meaningful choice in choosing traits.

well i did a full dungeon run today and got necrophobic comments 2 times but that was an exceptional case. it still happens regularly but far less than people think. i was never really kicked without a reason on necro but sometimes for pretty dumb reasons ;D. as long as u dont put your wells down right before a fire field its fine and most of the time u have phalanx for might stacking anyways ^^

if u define team support as rezzing noobs then yes its good but i think pugs got increasingly better over time to the point where most pug groups dont need a "dedicated rezzer". i think killing the boss before the boss kills your party will always be the better option. this said they are good traits with nice synergy thats really good for pvp type content. maybe this will be needed for pve in hot but i dont think its good for pve atm. but thats just my opinion.

yes im watching choxie a lot on twitch and his wvw necro roaming and spectral grasp doesnt seem to fail when pulling people off of cliffs too. good to know

yeah all pulls have this problem. and engis and necros always had the discussion arguing whos pull is bugging out more: magnet pull or spectral grasp. it will probably never get fixed because its a flaw in the engine itself that cant be patched easily

All pulls should use the same logic as the Engineer’s magnet simply because the Engineer’s magnet is like 99% effective whereas the other pulls fail 2 out of 3 times.

engis magnet pull fails like every other pull. and if u look in the engi forum there are mulitple topics about it getting worse and worse.

I think jagged horrors in general could be made less kitten if they’d automatically use putrid explosion, like the bone minion’s active and a leap/charge skill they use when they come near their target.

But that wouldnt make! Rise any more interesting. It would be just a shout with some delayed but otherwise unoriginal explosions.

isnt the problem that it takes them ages to finally attack and to actually hit something then?

I’d like to keep the minion summoning mechanic. Dota 2’s Undying has a somewhat similar skill and that one is pretty cool.
But i think it needs a different minion, way faster reaction/spawn time and probably an additional condition caused by the shout that allows the minions to hit stuff easier. AoE cripple with Grasping Dead’s animation would fit the shout pretty well.

sry for the sarcasm but i dont think anet even has the possibilitys to make minions work. the engine just doesnt allow it. there is no way to make minions behave like we want them too in every situation without control button like ranger has.

u went overkill in the wrong direction. first of all why reapers onslaught? IT DOESNT WORK. then why curses? chilling darkness was nerfed! why bitter chill? u have enough vuln already! why not the best elite we have? -why not chilling nova- kitten overnerf chillomancer so op.

chill uptime will never happen. every good way of chill has been consistently nerfed and will in the future same as nerfing the condition in general.

also there is no reason to use the current form of the greatsword as its inferior to dagger in every possible way.

why the nerf…
this is such a wasted opportunity with perma chill you could take chilling force over decimate defenses in a reapershroud shroud1 build to to have even more life force sustain. you can reach 100% crit chance in a shroud1 build with death perception anyways so you dont need the crit chance out of shroud if u can sustain your shroud.

the other way around would be taking decimate defenses over death perception and taking dhuumfire as a dps increase but we need to wait til the next beta weekend to see how good shroud1 build are with reapers onslaught fixed.

long story short you dont need decimate defenses and death perception unless u take valk gear and one of the options is just way worse.

im my opinion i dont care about greatsword being competitive to dagger. most classes have one good damage weapon. i dont need another one.
dagger is my weapon of choice. about the damage the problem are the traits not the weapon damage but number2 and number3 are useless but who cares

2% crit chance per vuln stack x25= 50% crit chance at 25 stacks its not a stack. it just increases the crit chance value when attacking an enemy with vuln by the amount of vuln they have at the time u attack times two. so if an enemy has 3 stacks vuln and u have 0% bonus crit chance u have 4% base crit chance (every class always has 4% base at level 80) + 6% from the trait=10% chance to crit the opponent. its a really strong trait so i dont expect it will see any changes. in pve its basically a 50% crit chance increase. u cant show an icon for it because the crit chance modifier is specific for every enemy u hit and changes all the time.

yeah but look at the positive site. thief have to spam boringly spam heartseeker when a boss drops to 25% health. boringly spamming gravedigger under 50% health is not a dps increase so u can continue spamming the exiting dagger auto attack chain xD

unequip your precision gear. take the standard build spite/soulreaping/reaper: take rending shroud, unyielding blast, vital persistence, death perception and decimate defenses (the rest doesnt matter). and reapershroud autoattack a golem until youre at 25 vuln (should not take long) and watch if u see a hit thats not critical. congratz u have 4% crit chance but always crit. it works perfectly (not like reapers onslaught)

i prefer the ele treatment: overnerf viable skills and buff the rest. we all know ele is at the top atm now and necro cant get worse.

so first of all it was 30% more lifeforce before the patch. secondly life force drain is % not flat so getting 15% more life force doesnt change that. and lastly i picked vital persistance and it was working perfectly. are u sure u have it equipped? are u in pvp and have only changed it for pve or the other way around?

im sorry but its pve. people will always use what is best to clear in the fastest way. if condi sword now does more damage than gs people will take still only take it if they still have 25 perma might for everyone. thats the main reason for mono greatsword meta. axe does a really good amount of damage but phalanx is too good to not take if youre the only warrior. and shield is useless because the content is just too easy u dont need a block you dont even need one dodge if u have a good guard (althought warrior should dodge at the start of the fight to get the damage buff when not having full energy and for the reckless dodge proc)

Watching the stream duels, and the signet build, all I can say is we are going to thrash every other condi class.
Our number of condi transfers is really insane.
None of the other classes’ condi builds are going to survive us.

boon stacking classes also need to prepare to cry with the number of boon to condi conversions our signets throw out.

Hi Guysh.

I have a quick little tip for you if you want to ease your fingers for 1 spamming in the grenade kit. You can bind your auto attack to your mouse scroll wheel, it sounds a bit wierd but when you get used to it, it’s amazing. You can happily just sit in WvW or whatever scrolling away.

what external programs have u used? i mean u cant bind it to mouse wheel by default and it has the zoom feature attached to it

Noscoc was casting and cancelling the signets for might stacks, but even without that bug he would be able to maintain some high might stacks.

seems to be possible for so many skills/traits atm like berserkers power. is that possible on the live servers too? why would it be possible now?

3 wells and a whole trait line for that but yeah that wasnt as bad as expected. i mean u can do so much on the live servers too. 5 targets 3-4 wells vampiric+vampiric precision ( +100% crit chance)+ vampiric rituals but not in deathshroud so kinda nice. but at no point in time there will be 5 targets in your wells and u will never use more than 2. but its nice i guess

OK, I watched it, that wasn’t Karl though who was beating Chaith. Karl was “Necronomikarl”, the 2nd necro Chaith duelled, and Chaith absolutely demolished him.

The necro who was beating Chaith was Noscoc, Chaith said. He was Necromancer Dd, the staff/axe/warhorn guy with three signets, who was cancel-casting the signets for might stacks.

yeah i thought that was obvious. you can see some good duels between shin and karl if u want. chaith battled noscoc and said at the end: he must be abusing some kind of bug or something because he couldnt beat the condi transfers and boon converts with perma 20+ stacks might. i think for pvp signet of suffering is too much.

its confirmed that it does on the test servers but they cant really make it so it doesnt. eg. if u fire of a killshot is obviously gains the damage boost as u cant wait for killshot to hit something until u give the damage boost. so if u miss u get nothing. it gives the 20% damage buff at the beginning of the cast time so evis etc will gain the damage buff
