its a nice idea but supporting passive play even more is really not what the game needs (even if its for skillful dodging). eg. adrenal implant for engi. these 2 50% options make vigor completely obsolete and are like permanent unstripable vigor. if they stack were at the same problem the devs thought existed before again.
Your kidding right? Axe was really good at one time. last time it was really good all its cleave damage wasn’t located at the end of the final hit. It was located in the middle of the chain and pure axe warriors had optimal damage without finishing the axe chain.
Were you even playing the game back then. Bcuz if you were it wasn’t impossible to do like over 100,000 damage with 100 blades solo.
I am sad to see there isnt viable dual wield option my only guess is that is becuz it will be the elite specialization.

arent u the person who said warrior damage got nerfed by 80%? anyways the new build system doesnt allow any variety as like 90% have the same builds in mind cause their are no other viable option in the tiers. about ps: its pve i dont think u need inspiring battle standard so badly. it would have been nice when u got it as a bonus like the old inspiring banners but i will not sacrifice damage for…regeneration. when ur playing ps most of the time ur not doing axe vuln rotations as that is a loss of might for the party so i think fast hands will not be missed in pve.

so u want ur own battle standard? how about targets=5, -1 second cast time again (so its 2sec), increase the life force to 5% and increase the cooldown by 40 seconds. but we need a new utility signet then so maybe an instant teleport
they should change the passive to heal on hit enemy rather than being hit, give the active portion the better tech we saw in hot with the chilling nova trait so it can proc like 6 times in 10 seconds and have it give a boon on active like quickness for 5 seconds
heal on hit is so overused. i mean: vampiric, (vampiric precison), vampiric aura, signet of malice, soul eater, faithful strike, zealous strike ,invigorating precision, exlixir infused bombs…dont u think something unique would be better? and why do u want to overbuff everything so much i mean QUICKNESS on a heal? are u crazy?
That’s why I say that we should get at least Plague Blast for couple seconds when speccing into Curses.
This would fix majority of self-condition problems and work great with Dhuumfire.

greatsword has never been better for damage. the reason u take gs is the utility primarily from ps. i personally would have liked axe mastery in the discipline line as when u take axe u are not taking ps so u are obviously the second warrior in a group because why would u not play ps when ur the only warrior. anyways u dont need tactics in a pure axe (or axe/gs) build so strength with berserkers power arms with dual wield agility and discipline with axe mastery would have been cool. i mean now u simply take burst mastery (or heightened focus) instead of the badly placed axe mastery so it still works
guys remember damage boost dont stack additively they stack multiplicatively

vigor and adrenal implant dont stack, have never stacked and will never stack but its perma vigor now without having vigor. if u want to see who has the best vigor now look at thief (endless stamina trait). and to the person who really thought necro is the winner of the vigor nerf spoiler alert that was a joke.
i didnt even know it was 4 sec in pvp thats stupid. if ill ever go into pvp with my ascended pve thief i will mess everything up xD. but from a balance point of view we need to see how the damage increases in pvp as stealth does not have a use for capturing points but for killing the people who def/roam

It’s amazing how people prefer actually prefer axe over greatsword. People just have some sort of hipster-appeal with the meta. If it’s popular and good, then I don’t want to use it, regardless of actual gameplay or mechanics.
yeah but if axe mastery would have been in discipline u could have axe/axe axe5 for half a sec to get instant 3 bars and then interrupt it with eviscerate to proc berserkers power and then auto attack with dual wild ability or swap weapon to greatsword or axe/mace. it had potential to be meta…but then people would actually use axe5 for the full duration which would be so much worse xD
Well arcing slice is a multi target with a fury buff so i guess its a situational choice on which burst should be used, what bugs me is i cant take axe mastery +berserker power at the same time :\
exactly what i was thinking about. but u dont really need to consider arcing slice over eviscerate: if youre fighting trash gs is the way to go anyways as the fight is not long enough for it to matter and for bosses where u would take axe u dont need cleave
He’s referring to pure GS over GS/AxeMace I think.
And don’t believe it would be better simply because of how many vulnerability stacks you can apply with axe/mace. And also the eviscerate axe burst skill does way more damage than the arcing slice burst skill..And you’ll want to be spamming Axe burst now after the buff to berserker’s power.
well now he has 2 great explanations depending on what he was asking
anyways i would have loved axe mastery in the discipline trait line for an axe/axe axe/mace build. simply axe5 for quarter of a sec to get full adrenaline instantly eviscerate for the berserkers power proc together with a huge crit due to axe mastery and then auto attack with dual wield agility and use mace when available… but hey it wasnt to be and phalanx is too strong to not be taken as the first warrior in a group.

pure gs warrior was always stronger than ps warrior. ps sacrificed personal dps for group wide 25 stacks of might. if u mean warriors in general every single build is getting stronger but this applies to almost every single build of every single class too as the trait rework gives u more traits in general. ps warrior especially benefit in terms of personal dps as they can now pick the traits they sacrificed for picking ps but they also suffer because of the loss of boon duration which forces them to pick less optimal food to sustain perma 25 might for the party

You have never had a thief come out from around a corner or off a ledge? I sure have and never saw him at all before hand nor his extremely large red name tag thingy. Several times. You can close a HUGE gap with short bow and super speed.

Wow 30%? Isn’t that a bit too much? I have both Warr and Ele at 80 so I guess I’ll have to check on both.
Unless you live under a rock warrior has been nerfed by like 80%. So a 30% buff doesn’t even bring us back to where we were. No other class but thief has receive as many damage nerfs as warrior, while every other class has been power creeped and are still getting buffed.
link me a dps warrior nerf. and while were at it link me a thief nerf too.
Keep believing that and the attack speed reduction on shortbow (from early In the game’s history) was just an ’animation’ fix. At this point just saying ’that wasn’t intended’ now counts as a fix hmmm....
there is no defending the change of movement impairing conditions as it not only nerfs 2 conditions without a great use but also is counter intuitive to how movement skills work.
’cause non-PS build will still do more damage than a PS build in a solo scenario. Or if you have two warriors in a dungeon group and one is already using PS.

Discipline – Warrior’s Sprint / DoTE / Heightened FocusI’m not entirely sure on sigil choices or on optimal food yet. We should easily hit 100% crit chance with signet mastery so I could see sigil of strength becoming a thing, or it could stay sigil of night and sigil of force.
Runes will probably be strength and zerker armor as always.
Greatsword / AxeMace
As for skills. Signet of Might might replace signet of fury, but not sure on that. Only speculation.
even considering phalanx strength in a solo scenario should be a reason for a perma ban xD so i thought that would be self explanatory. and yes ur build is perfect so why wait for somebody else to call it meta. u clearly know how to make build so trust ur own choices
From the math ive done precision should be the same when using berserker. Power will be slightly higher. Lots of classes are getting their modifier traits in certain lines switch to crit chance. This means assassin is falling out of the meta even on classes it worked on.

no, i didn’t try to join the meta lfgs, as i know necro is not meta and it would be dumb to try to join those. You can still speed clear a dungeon with a necro on the team, unless you go for world record.
And playing necro is not bad at all. The problem is all the things you could be doing for the team (including more damage) if you had a competitive class instead of the necro....
sry if i offended u. i meant that every decent group with decent meta players who casually do a dungeon without any problem because everybody already knows every possible scenerio is no speed clear. nobody who knows the current dps charts for all classes should even consider to kick a zerker necro as its dps is not far off of other classes. the only thing is if u need some special type of utility like stealth or reflect to make the specific dungeon run go flawlessly the class with the least use for the group should swap class.
i main necro and my guild has no problems when i run it in dungeons. but i regulaly swap class when we need something different. its fine to play necro and im glad we both know that

why not take ps? u can now have all the damage from a non-ps build AND take ps…thats why warriors dps is getting okish now
Damage output is not the entire equasion no but somehow you are only seeing what you want to see. I’m not saying player skill/positioning/rotation/and a number of other things do not play a factor in winning a fight but you are not hearing what I am saying. Most AoEs maybe get 1-2 hits IF you are lucky. As barrage hits for much LOWER per hit it is MUCH weaker and is not in line with skills of similar function. This is not a who is better at swapping weapons or moving to the left or rotating skills. This issue is with the sheer damage output.

PvE…. groups actually request NO Necros. I dont pve so dont care but I still think something is wrong there.
that’s… not entirely true. I tried a few speed runs with my necro recently and had no trouble in joining those full zerk only groups. but if the group has no ele or no ps warrior, i feel i could be doing so much more……
that were no speed runs that were regular meta runs. and no the necro kicking stopped but that doesnt mean playing a necro got better

yes i dont expect to be god tier on tuesday. i play all classes in meta builds and know how the dps tiers are. an aura with 30 damage on hit wont be game changing xD i just wanted to bring it up because hey…these are the community forums
i like to share my thoughts
fgs? that thing doesnt exist anymore… hammer is rarely used but staff ele is so much better (but 2 eles is even better) and ice bow? YES ITS EVERYWHERE its so darn strong
so with trait line specific stats getting removed we get compensation by base stat increase and gear stat increase. but i dont think that zerker gear will give so much precision/crit chance that u get the same crit chance like with 30/6 points in to the precision tree.
so i thought that maybe classes without good precision boosters need assassins gear again (or a lot more spotter rangers). there already are a lot of situations where assassin is a bit better than zerker so with these changes imo only 2 classes will be able to reach 100% during normal gameplay in full zerker: thief and necro.
so i see this as an indirect damage increase for necro as everybody else maybe has less damage because of the loss of power (and thief always was the king of dps)
what are ur thoughts? and if this wasnt clear enough-> PVE.
ice bow #2 and #3 are getting buffed. and im convinced that #4 will be nerfed too as its defining pve by too much. and ice bow #5 will be gone with the new defiant system
doesnt seem underwhelming to me. mesmer got some of the best changes

sagat…signets dont work in deathshroud they just dont exist. u dont have a signets passive as soon as u enter deathshroud as it is a transform. u cant make sovs passive good in ds because u dont have sov in ds
when they announced the cc changes i went ahead and made myself a human necro for real and now its level 80 and full ascended. i have 8 asuras, the 8 professions…now i have a human necro as my 9th chara for prayer of dwayna and reaper of grenth which i hope will be really good for reaper (chill) as it doesnt lock u out of skills.
