Could we please get an official response if this is an intended nerf or an overlooked mistake?

It is neither. It just takes time to build these items and there is a huge amount of stuff on our list of things to do. We aren’t done adding stat combos. We will continue to add them as we have time to do so. With this batch, we wanted to even out the spread of primary stats and we already had a lot of stats with Power or Condition Damage as primary (more than any other, in fact), but I’ll be sure to get Valkyrie and Carrion into the next batch.

Thx for the answer, but wouldnt it be better change the prefix stat system of ascended trinkets ? I mean, is cleary a backstep compared with the exotic “Trinket+jewel”.

Woulndt be better and easier for developers and players change it for the same system with ascended items ? Base ascended trinket+"ascended upgrade" and voila, all stats, all mix like the exotic items.

The “upgrades” just could drop it in fractal, buy for laurels etc… and if now a amulete cost 30 lauerls, now would cost 20 Laurels for base amuelt and 10 for the “upgrade”.

I think that it would be a better system, the prefix ascended stats just kill many build and possibilites, and wait months for your mix dont help.

yeah sadly yess, a lot of more grind ascend items, new guild mission that only punish small guilds, nerf farms, the market prices are going more and more crazier

To me the month update just have to put new zones, weapon/armor skins, legendary, dungeons, maybe new skills or weapons to some class simple make the world bigger until a new expansion and put new “systems” tested propely, not rushed each month only to work awful.

To me is more fun discover and have to do new events or dungeons in a new zone each map that grind and grind laurels and fractal each day and each day to wait months to get my ascend items, or just feel ignored because im a in a small friendly guild.

The holiday events was fun, the best of the updates, but when they have to put “long term gameplay” they just mess with the game and the players without control, and the major issue is that they ignore the issues community feedback thinking that they are doing pretty well.

The grind fest in ascended items is a proof, grind fractal every day to get a ring or just spend 30+35+35+40+40=180 days of daily grind to get your 5 items.

Agree about the worried, im in the same friend guild since GW1 for 8 years, we are a relative small Guild, with about 5-10 member represent and the new guild mission system just feel to a “kick off” to us, and we have 150K of influence ready to spend.

We have to go to a big guild only to make guild missions ?

We have to spam in the chat map searching people only to make guild missions ?

We could do anything what we want in GW1 and if there arent enought people we just put some Heroes.

We could do anything what we want in GW2, we just do WvWvW, PVP , all dungeons, fractals, Dynamic events etc….until now.

How a update to improve the guilds just punish so much to the small and friendly guilds and push players to join a Big Guild to get better rewards ?

To me a a small Guild of friends and loyal players who met for years playing together.appel more to the “Guild” word meaning, that a Guild full of 200 players who use the chat guild like a LFG system to make dungeons etc…and never talk between them.

Why a update to punish so much the small guilds, i just dont understand this, some my friends and thinking in quit the game, after the ascended items updates, the lack of pvp modes, and now feel punished by Arena.net because we are a small of Guild of friends playing, each day this game is far far away what GW1 build.

Where are the word " PLAY YOUR WAY, PLAY WITH THE PEOPLE WHO YOU WANT" ?

I know what arena.net dont want this, they are building a new system with long term like Martin said good theory, but in the practic the small guild feel usseles now and to us this update dont bring us any benefit or fun thigs to do, only troubes and issues of people leaving small guild only to farm Ascended earrings in bigger guilds.

You have a great scaling system event, why dont use it in the guild missions beggining with 5 players and if more Guild people join increase the difficulty ? Why put a prefix tier system who only punish us ?

I just want exrpess my thoughts, when i put my worries and all the community about ascened items becoming a grind thing like is becoming ( 40 laurels and 50 ectos, seriusly ) and the lack of stats ( still left many mix ) arena.net still continue the ascended item against the community, and now we have a grinding fest in fractal, laurels to wait months only to get a full ascended jewel set, when they said that GW2 will not be a grind game.

Now i dont have any hope of Arena.net give a backstep and rethink their system before damage the small guild of their player base, they will continue, many small guild disband to go big guilds or players quit for feel punished for the game but well….

Now the Guild Missions are bugged, just arena.net take your time and dont rush your monthly updates and rething well the Missions systems, this update just feel to rushed only to get “big monthly update” ready, is better wait 2 months that rush a update and mess with the most important things in this game, the Guilds and the playerbase.

The colour of the chat link is fixed, but it seems that they still work like Exotic in the Mystic Forge, i guess that we wont get a official answer about the transmuted legendaries working like exotic, the “upgrade stats”, and if the are exotic with purple names .

I just lost the hope about all this issue, arena.net seems to want ignore this thread to make “control damage” and no giving us a real answer, i alredy grown tired of this issue many times.

It would have been better if we were able to ‘build’ our own Ascended Gear. (Pick the base stats and the secondary stats just like every other armor piece in this game.) The way they’re running it currently is needlessly cluttered, confusing and leaves tons of players out to dry.

The thing that i dont get about the Ascended item is why arena.net made prefixed stats in the ascended items.
I mean, the Exotic Jewel sistems works perfect you can mix and have a lot of different builds.
Why no put a Ascended Items without “jewel” stats and a “jewel upgrade” similar to the infusion upgrade and choose your mix, like a exotic one. They would put in fractal loot, or in Laurel seller.
If a Amulet cost 30 Laurel now , put for 20 Base amulet+10 “jewel upgrade” for example, rings and earrings the same.

The actual system is a great back step compared with the exotic system, and comfortable to arena.net and the players use the same system that the Exotic jewels, i just cant understand why delete for a prefixed mix stats system and have to wait months for the stats that you want.

I just was happy when i read that they put Knight at least, but when i see the seller and the only mix was with “Power, Precision, Toughtness jewel stat” i feel so dissapointed, only 2 Knight mix Items, and the 2 with the same stats mix.

Well i understand this system in the first “wave” of ascended items but still continue with the “prefixed” stat system feels worse in each patch, this will end with the Laurel merchant selling 120 different amulets in the windows merchant to only put a few more mix, is to silly

To me arena.net should remade the ascended item and make it like the exotic one+ infusions.

What will they do when the ascended armor go out, just throw to the garbage the great rune system to put prefixed items too ? I just hope not.

I really miss Knight Amulet/Rings/Earrings with Valkyrie “jewels”.

When i see that the “jewels” of Knight ascended items was:

-Precision, Toughtness, Power
-Toughtness, Precision, Power

I was like -_-…..

Seriusly 2 Knight different sets, with 2 “jewels set” when the only change is the primary stat ?

At least put Knight+Valkyrie or Knight+Berseker.

This went down long before anyone even know MOP was coming.

Anyway, this kind of contradicts what Mike O’Brien said numerous times (that NCsoft had given Arena Net full creative freedom and hadn’t interfered on the game design). Makes you wonder what else in the game’s development (both pre- and post-release) was also decided by the marketing department…

Agree, they have guts to go against the community with Ascend items, but it seem that they lack of it againts NCsoft to put Cantha in game.

The months pass and each day im more sure that this is less a GW by Arena.net game and more a NCsoft game, they are getting rid of many things that made GW1 great ( Lot PVP modes, No vertical progression, listen the community ).

And now if they just simple throw to the garbage something so basic and simple like 1/3 of the original GW map and history like Cantha only why Ncsoft dont like the “Fantasy asian theme” in GW2 it will show how little rights Arena.net have in his own game and a “faceslap” to all their GW fans ( another one …..).

Im not begging for a Mike O´brian answer, but it would be good that at least Colin or other “big fish designer” will answer about this, and if they are planning forget all about Cantha in GW2 and why, telling us now , not have us waiting months speculating for for an answer, and im almost sure that they already read this thread.

No Knights/Cleric/Valkyrie Ascended items, no Laurels spent, Arena.net need launch the new stats.

The Cantha Thread [Merged]

I hope there Cantha expansion at some point, if not it will be another proof that GW2 is iggorings his roots.

GW is Tyria, and Tyria is Tyria, Elona and Cantha, why make beyond missions or create the movement of the world if you just ripp of 1/3 part of their world.

Cantha was a great map, Kaineng was a little boring but i think that the engine was the culptirit to make some great city map, but Kurzick Forest and Jade Sea in Luxon was great, throw Cantha to garbage because some Asian angry will be the worst decision to GW saga, then dont launch more Tyria maps because Europe/American players would be angry.

And of course the same would be with Elona, we need say “Hello” to Palawa again, i need revenge for kill my Paragons >< and the Sunspears.

I always expect that the natural progresion is when we kill the dragons who block the way to Cantha and Elona ( Mr.Bubbles, Zaithan and Kralkatorric) the path to Cantah and Elona will be open to make alternative storys and rest a little of dragons theme.

Hi

I have Cleric Armor to go support build, and a Berseker one to farm in events and open world, but now i finished my damage PVE armor for Dungeon/Fractals, im using in my two builds ( 1H Sword and AH Great sword ) a week ago.

I think that the stats are good but i still had some doubts with change some stats like the critic damage.

- Knight Helm with Soldier Crest
- Knight Shoulder with Soldier Crest
- Knight Chest with Soldier Crest
- Soldier Legs with Soldier Crest
- Soldier Gloves with Soldier Crest
- Soldier Boots with Soldier Crest

-Soldier BackPack with Ruby Gems
- Knight Amulet with Beryl Gem
- 2 Knight rings with Beryl Gems
- 2 Ruby Earrings with Ruby Gems

-Berseker GreatSword
-Bersker 1 Hand sword//// Cleric Shield

I know that the shild would be better with another stats, but is the FlameSeeker one that use with my support build, and i want to keep it

Like i said before i use the same armor to my 2 build, first one a classic 2 AH Greatsword build , but the 0/15/30/20/5 one, not the 0/0/30/30/10.

Well i have 3K of power and armor without food or any external buff what i thinks is pretty good, more of 15K Health, and it cant improve with Ascended Items. The only thing that is worring me is if i should improve the %critic and the critic damage a little adding beryl orbs in the armor and but loosing Armor. I dont like go below of 3000K armor, i know that is only a psichological wall.

One good option would change the Soldier Crest for Divinity Runes, i would lose 60 Power, 24 Toughtness, 24 Vitality but i would win 12% critic damage and 60 Precission who is always good and 60 Healing Power.

Second option will be Soldier Runes, i would lose 120 Power, 34 Toughtness but i would win 70 Vitality and cure conditions with shouts wich it woul be really good, but i dont that i will need the extra vitality.

Last option would be keep the Soldier Crest who for now works like a charm for now until had ascended items.

The other build who use a loot too with my guild is a 1 Hand Sword/Shield, i use the same armor who i thnk work pretty good to do dungeons, the doubts are the same, more % critic or critical damage maybe..

The build wold be 0/30/20/10/10, the 15 % Critic Hit Trait is not represented in the Hero Panel.

Well it have more less power ths to 1 Hand sword and more Armor thx to shield, but my principal doubts again is the critical damage, maybe more that in the AH build because the 1 Hand Sword work great with critics.

Keep the Soldier Crest until i get ascend items or change it for Divinity Runes losing 60 power, 24 toughtness and 24 Vitality.

PD: Extra msg to arena.net, put Ascended Cleric, Knight and Valkyrie amulet/rings alredy plz, is just so sad cant evolve your gear because you can get the config stats that you want.

How much will be the min/max req player needed to do a mission?

Im in a relative small guild with my GW1 friends, and i dont want to feel obligated to join a big guild to do the quest.

I hope that 5 will still be minimum magical number.

What do you think about Guardians?

To people who said that PVT armor is usseles i advice that they make some test with gears and JEWELS, is not only the armor, is the mix of armor, jewels and runes to keep a good balance.

I wear PVT armor ( Emrald Orbs ) mix with Berseker Jewel and i make a good damage, i can share boons ( Vigorius Preccision, Strenght in Numbers Empoworing Might) and good deffense and life.

20 Zeal
30 Valor
20 Honor

Yea that should be answered too coz a lot of people thought that transmuting legendaries now got fixed. :/ meh seems like it hasn’t.

Yeah, at least know if the plan with this patch was “update” all the funtions of transmuted legendaries ( eternity transmutation, stats update, etc…) or only change the font color.

If the transmutation of legendary weapons turning into “no legendaries” is not broken because Jason King answer this in this same post ?

Yeah ascended items seems a backstep to me, yeah have higher numbers but the lack of diversity is huge, not only we cant customize the “jewel stats” but there only a few option, the major one bersekers with diferent “jewel stats”, the only customize is the infusion they are only +4 to X stat.

The good thing about GW is have a lot of gear costumization like the exotic gear but now we have nothing , grab berseker or bye bye, another proof that show that the Ascended gear was a rush, right now is items are a joke.

What will be next ? Ascended armor, lack of stats again, and throw the awesome runes to garbage ?

No,

“Transmuting weapons now preserves the FONT COLOR of the higher rarity of the two items.”

I expect some official statement or a answer to this, but seems that they are just ignoring us because they know that the weapons are messed and they enter in “mute mode” about this issue, this is no joke matter and i think that legendary users deserve a decent answer by Arena.net

Yeah i just transmuted my Flameseeker but there somethings that still worried me, if you link the weapons in the chat the name will be orange.

The “legendary” word above the class weapon dissapered , and you can put in Mystic Forge with another 3 exotic weapons, and when i put in my inventori the chat said “Cleric Pearl Shield”…..

Then there go my question, our legendaries, are REAL legendary weapons ? , or we only have exotic weapons with puple name ? I can still put 1 transmuted Twilight and a transmuted Sunrise and turn in a Eternity ?

There a lot of thins that are worring me , they seem exotic weapons with only purple names.

And if this is true, this not only a bug or fail desing like previus issue, they are lying us messed our legendary weapons.

I expect a answer soon, and if they are messed a REAL SOLUTION, no a " we cant do anything sorry……", I pay for my mistakes if i bug, exploit etc…. i expect that arena.net pay for their mistakes if they lie their costumers.

And im worried a lot because arena.net dont have 1 minute of their time to answer some important matter to us, it cant be good.

I just transmuted my Flameseeker to, the name is purple, but in the link chat it apper orange, but that thing that worried me is that in the Descrption dont appear the word “Legendary” above the class weapon, like other items, and i can put in the Mystic Forge with other exotic weapons, and and when i put in my inventori the chat said “Cleric Pearl Shield”.

The only thing that seems to change is that the name is still purple.

It was a issue when they released the fractales update, but now they just repeat the same mistake, the lack of diversity is poor.

A answer by arena.net about this will be nice, they are planing stick in these stats and wait for craft ascended items ? , because i have 4 different build with 4 different armors in my guardian, and there are only 1 set of ascended items who work for me ( Magic Find ones ), right now i have 0 motivatin in get ascended items.

Well i can say that the only stats of new ascended items who work for me are the berseker one, no cleric, no knight, no valkyrie…..

Yes, a lot of play stiles arena.net…. great fail, i will stick with my exotic items, my only hope is that the lack of “classic” stats means that they are planning ascended items by crafting.

You dont have to trash your entire build.

Traits can be mixed and matched to suit your own playstyle, the way you like it.

The way ANet likes it FIXED

So its perfectly fine for them to buff damage outputs via power and crit damage but when we want to increase our ability to negate this effect its seen as unbalanced? If I recall, healing power still scales pretty terribly compared to all other stats.

Play the game for the way it’s ment to be played.
DO you have a Healer/support class in Call of Duty?

What if I want a gun that heals people? SO when someone gets shot, I can heal my team with my gun?

Then you need a Engineer with elixir-gun ^^

Is funny when people post things that they dont have any idea, the healing is alredy in the game, we are only begginb for the ascended version like the other items.

And support class is a true class in the game, the “trinity” of GW2 are control, damage and support, alredy told many times by arena.net.

Yeah we alredy know that, but still is a great fail design with Legendary Items and transmutation stone, we have the most expensive items in the game and we cant change the stats.

I bet that arena.net alredy know this before the ascend items update, but it doenst matters because the Exotic items had max stats, but now with ascended items change the issue totally, to me the ascended update was a rush by arena.net and this is a good proof.

You cant punish the players who work so hard for a legendary weapons for change the stats, if transmutation stones are only making issues with legendary items, then put another way to change the stats, and they should know this before the launch of the game or at least before the ascended items update.

But to me the major issue is the lack of info about this, we are waiting for almost 3 months for a fix, and the lack of communication about this is HUGE, only a few post by arena.net employers that they say 2 complete different answers :

To Jason King is a bug and they are working since 7 november that we know, and to Jeffrey Vaughn a Content Designer 1 and half month later said thatwork fine and he dont know if is a bug or where we heard this, when the answer or Jason King is in the SAME post, i dont know that answer belive seriusly , and after this no more info for another month and we still waiting for a real final anwer, but while the players are messing their legendary weapons without knowing nothing about this.

at least make that legendary weapons cant be transmuted until find a solution, because the players who follow this post alredy knew that we shouldnt transmute ourlegendary weapons, i have my Flame Seeker waiting for their Cleric stats, but right know hundred of thousand of players are geting their legendary weapons and messing a item that cost hundreds of gameplay hours to get, and maybe never will have the “legendary state” again.

I think that arena.net sould make a open stat about this in the general forum or in article, im not joking, right now we are only a few players asking in this post, but if they dont stop the transmutation of legendary weapons and each day more and more people mess their legendary, and finally they cant revert the “exotic legendary weapons” to a purple weapon, when they Ascended weapons update come, and a lot of “legendaries” dont update their stats, a lot of players will enter in “rage mode” in the forums and this post will be nothing compared to this.

Arena.net be clever, write a post about the progression of the fix and a REAL info about when this could be fixed, and no more “soon….” , “we are working…..” for months, we know the same info since 7 november, and make that legendary weapons cant be transmuted until you had this fixed, is an advice to save you problems in the future.

This is a serius issue, yeah we are a minority with a legendary weapon, but the most expensive items in the game dont deserve be waiting for months to a fix or info in the issue.

Well i just get my Flameseeker Prophecies, and if i wouldnt know about this post right now i would have super expensive exotic shield.

There no news about the issue ? I expected some info about to fix this in the month update maybe or at least in the next “update months”.

I think that arena.net must fix this like a priority its true that only a minority have a Legendary weapons but this issue/bug is messing with the most expensive items of the game.

Another issue that im think, before when you are full down you dont recive loot from bosses, you have to comeback and rush and hit the boss to get your loot.

Now what, they will fix this or if your team dont give you res before the boss die you have no loot ?

Yeah bad idea to me too, generally i never need a Zerg rush to kill a boss, but is true that are some bosses who Spam AOE attack that is really hard to ress because if you dont rush to rez a player he simple die because the AOE attacks ( Lupicus, TOA Vine etc..), and if you rush is a great risk that anothers player trying give res die too, and if the player is full down it take the res take AGES, is better leave him in the floor, you are risking too much.

I dont know, i think that something to try stop the zerg rush is OK, but i saw this more like a bad thing that good and a lazy solution, just lay in the floor without play, watching the rest of your team dying seems boring and a great punishment.

I answered this post 2 days ago to show my complain about the issue ( only need about 90 Gold to complete my Legendary ) and they just delete my post and put me a infraction, i dont swear or insult anybody, i can quote the same post that here how proof , the most offensive that i wrote is that i was begin grow tired of only read things like “we are looking ….” by developers for weeks/months in the sames issues ( legendary weapons transmutation, pvp, etc..)and never a clear answer or a fix, but it seem that they dont like it, i wont post in a topic where they delete the things that they dont like, sorry.

Because Arena.net stated that legendary weapons will update their stats when new ascend weapons come out to be always the “top tier” weapons in the Game-

But what happen if you transmute your Legendary to change their stat and now is a “exotic” ? well that you are screwed with a very very very expensive Exotic weapon.

They said that they are looking the issue, but weeks pass and nothing change, and furthemore they are not sure if the change will be revert the legendaries what are alredy transmuted and this would be a shame and unfair to the players who already transumuted and didnt know about the bug/issue.

A really big fail in the game desigm that affect the most expensive weapons of the game and expect a lot of complain when they will update the legendary weapons and people who alredy transmuted their legendary discover the issue, i hope some news in the next major update but i woudlnt bet anything.

First all sorry for my english

To me the 2 majors issues are the lack of a a good ladder system and lack of other PVP modes, is simple, PVP conquest is not funniest/competitive enough to be the only PVP mode, is something the the pvp community know and arena.net should be know.

Have PVP conquest how the major PVP mode in GW2 was a bad decission, when area.net said that conquest was the only PVP mode the community had a lot of complaits for lack of modes, and arena.net said that it will be fine, that will be lot of fun, competitive, try defend conquest etc.. well was fun in a short time but not much competitive, and after 4 months the PVP is dying day after day.

My thoughts is that arena.net should react to this , is a fact that conquest mode is not liked by the community at least how the “only pvp mode”, they are tryining promote the game to e-sport adding custom arenas to improve conquest mode like they did with payment tournaments, but they will fail again for one simple reason:

- They are trying to improve a e-sport community without have a great core pvp community, only the profesional teams or greatest guild will pay for custom arena.net, “normal players” will not waste real money to buy a server for a week because they dont have a reason to do that. Result, the normal players will leave the game to lack of other PVP modes , and with a good core community game wont be more competitive players and the currently ones will left the game for the lack of new challenges, you only have to see pay tournaments right now with 200 players only.

Since the first info of PVP in GW2 when you read the Arena.net post they seem blind to make GW2 a E-sport, not to do a great PVP game, only to be a E-Sport, all updates is to improve GW2 to a E-Sport no to make a great PVP like was GW1, the issues is that you must have to make a great PVP and build a strong community, and when you have this try to bring the game to E-Sport community thx to community.

Arena.net is doing this at reverse, first E-Sport without have a great community, the result is that all updates are to improve E-Sport teams that dont exist, while the pvp community lack of great PVP modes and simple left the game.

They had great PVP modes like GvG , AH or TA in GW1, modes that the PVP community always liked and build a great reputation to the orignal GW to the best PVP rpg in Market. The great arena.net mistake was throwing this to the garbage to make “BG WoW mode”, yes i dont like compare GW2 to wow but is a great example how to had great and original gameplay in GW1 and change for a simple “capture mode”, and the simple proof of this is in the forum how the PVP community is unhappy, and the lack of players in tournament modes.

The only issue who had GW1 is that was hard to new players start PVP because the great grade of competitive, this is a fact too, but it had a easy fix, make 2 modes like LoL, normal mode and ranked mode.

Normal mode: Can join alone or with friendss in a party thx to a matchmaking like LoL, win Glory and had fun while you are learning to play or simple want to play PVP mode without “pressure”.

Ranked mode: Register a team to join ranked mode party or join alone like ranked in LoL and win more Glory points, gems after tournaments and of course win positions or lose in a ranked ladder.

Make this while you had great PVP Modes like AH , GVG or TA, only 3 modes that the GW pvp commuinty always loved, give it variety to the community withotu fragment it, my thought is that if Arena.net still trust blindy in “Conquest PVP Mode like GW2 PVP core” the official dead of GW2 PVP will be soon.

-Add 50% base damage to all thief skills
-Add 9 max clone to mesmers
-Add +100% base defence to Warriors
- No CD to Elementalist attunements and added swap weapons
- The ranger now can use 2 pets at the same time, add 2000 range to Long Bow
- Now Guardian Aegis can block 5 hits instead 1
-Necromancer Life force regenerate over time, and minions now have more 500% more life and 300% more damage
-Reduced 33% Engineer base damage of all skills to compensate this

Sorry i just only coulndt resist :P

The sad part is that reading this is the feel what i had in each balance class patch.

I love the engineer core and was my main since firest BWE, but i couldnt stand the no sense nerfs each patch, a lot of bugs, a lot skills useless, the elixir randomness, my usseles weapons and the issue with kits and stats dont help, the lack of motivation to get a legendary, to what ? only to see it in the inventory ?.

Now im talking serius, each time what i see a update skill patch i think that Jon Peters or maybe other guy in “balance team” hate engineers, maybe because is the troublesome class to balance and give a lot of headache to developers or something, i dont know, i remember to Paragon issues in GW1 ( my main too ), all class had a super big skill update patch by the live team in the last years, but the paragon was almost forgoten in the void with only 1 viable build, and i feel that the engineer follow the same patch.

I just wish that arena.net shut up my mouth in the nexth patches.

3.- CHARACTER PROGRESSION

Ok , here go the tricky part, how make a game progression in GW2 MOBA without buy weapons with gold , yes we can lvl up, but buy equipament to is a important task choose your build.

Well this is what i thought:

- First all, all character begin in LVL1 where LVL6 is the max.

- All character in LVL1 begin with:
-1 one weapon set unlock
– Weapon Skill Bar and Healing Skill unlock
-10 Trait Points unlock
– If you are Elementalist 2 Element Attunement Unlock
– You start with the Runes of the armor who you wear when
you enter in the game so think careful

Ok , how you can see when you start the game is far away to your max capacities, but all character start equal, same stats only changed for the rune who you had choosen.

Now what you know how are you are in the beggining you would start think, " Ok now what i do ?"

Ok when the game start you and your team are closed in your base, to choose your roles, lines etc….you will be have about 2 minutes or when the 2 teams are ready ( add a "ready check system here " ) when the 2 team are ready the game start and minion will begin spawn about 20-30 second later.

“Ok i know what my team can do, but what i do ?” Well this is where the character progression begins:

We talk earlier about that, we well see how this affect our character progression

-1 one weapon set unlock: When the game start your character only have a Weapon Set Unlock, before the game start, while you are closed in the base, you can choose any weapon of your inventory to gear so here you can start begin to think your future build and role, but when the game start you cant change the weapon again until the game finish, so think carefully.

When you progress in lvl you can unlock other Weapon Set to unlock but one again , when you put your other weapon you can change it again so think it well, when you have 2 weapon set unlocked you can swap weapon normally.

And what happen if im a Elementalist or a Engineer, well if you are a elementalist you can chosse 2 Element Attunement to start, and you will chose the other 2 when you have more lvl , and a Engineer will unlock Tool Belt skill while lvl up

– Weapon Skill Bar and Healing Skill unlock:

Well, now have a Weapon, and you can choose a heal skill, but where are the utility and elite skills ? Well they will be locked until you lvl up one you lvl up you unlock a utility slot and you can choose a utility skill, to do this you have to back to the base, when you chose your skill and go out of the base you cant change the skill, the only way to change a skill who is alredy chosen is when you unlock the next utility slot, you can change the skills who you alredy choosen as well.

-10 Trait Points unlock: You start with 10 trait points, when you lvl up you gain other 10 ones and you come back to the base to put it like the skills, you can choose where to put it until you exit the base or press a “confirm button” but one you exit the base or press the button you cant change it until the game end.

- You start with the Runes of the armor who you wear when you enter in the game so think careful:

Well you start with the armor who wear when you join the game t but before the game start you can choose the amulet in your inventory to wear before the “2 minute ready end” the same system with the Weapon, to choose a future build-

This will be the LVL progression:

LVL1 – Start, choose weapon, amulet, Engineer Tool Belt Skill, first 10 Trait Points

LVL2- Unlock First Utility Skill , Engineer Tool Belt Skill and 10 Trait Points

LVL3 -Unlock Second Utility Skill , Engineer Tool Belt Skill Third Elementalist Attunement and 10 Trait Points

LVL4-. Unlock Third Utility Skill, 2 Weapon Set, Engineer Tool Belt Skill, Fourth Elementalist Attunement and 10 Trait Points

LVL5- Unlock Elite Skill and 10 Trait Points

LVL.6- Unlock last 10 Trait Points

With this at lvl 6 you will have a complete PVP character with a good progresion to choosing a build depending on the needs of your team.

And f course the team who destroy the other team base Win

And well in resume this will be all, after this the exp, wait times etc.. will need balanced when the metagame evolved but the core system would be this.

What is your thought ? Do you think that this could work ? I will put before GvG and AH to the game but a MOBA would do pretty well.

Hi

First all sorry for my english, is not my native language.

Well, where i start ? We know that right now the GW2 PVP need more gameplay modes, and i wish that GvG and AH will be included soon, but right now i was thinking in add a MOBA mode too.

We know that arena.net already experimted with a MOBA style in the GW2 developer but they said that didnt work pretty well, and hallowen was a tip.

Seriusly i dont know what fail a MOBA style in GW2, maybe the third person view and not cenital but there go new SMITE MOBA, or maybe the lack of character progresion in each game.

Well i know that is almost almost impossible that Arena.net use this post to make a new pvp mode, or maybe the community like the idea, but i would share my thought in the system that i was thougth while i was taking a shower ( yes is real XD ).

1.-RESOURCES

The only resource will be exp, theres no gold, the character level up in the game like other MOBA and of course it reset when the game end, the max level what i was thinking is about LVL6 it could be changed, i will talk about the charater progresion later.

I know that farm with the “last hit” to farm minioms will be hard in a third view gameplay, because this like SMITE you dont have to give the last hit to farm, this will make a more fast and direct gameplay to the game than LoL and Dota, yeah more simple but i think that i will work in GW2. If 2 players kill the same minion the players will share the exp, same if a group kill other player, the exp will be shared, maybe some exp bonus to the player who do more damage would be good.

2.- MAP

First all i talk about the map, the map will be the classic MOBA map with 3 lines, towers like Automatic Enviroment Weapons, brush , jungle, miniond and maybe some invisible pool like WvWvW ones.

The map is a classic one, 3 lines to choose and a jungle, the jungle will have mobs , some weak, some strong, and some super strong , the monster will give EXP to the player who killed it, and less exp, maybe half or less , to the rest of the party in the map, and aditional boons to the palyer who killed it, monster stronger will give mor exp and great lenght boons, to the player who killed it, like 1 minute Protection or Fury.

Minions, no much thing to tell, they respawn in your base, walk in lines, easy to kill, easy gold, if the group is big maybe you would have troubles in the firest lvl if you are not careful, dont be too much greed.

Towers will be a Automatic Enverioment Weapon, they will hit really hard if you are close, and destroy one in the firest level will be a chalenge, and you really need minions to shield you, when they are destroyed they would be a great exp source.

Brush work different than Dota or LOL, they dont make it invisible, only block the view of the enemy, the brush would be so high and dense to block the view of a Norn .

Player 1 —-->|| Enemy 1 <——Player 3

It would work like this, yes the 2 are the brush :P, if a Enemy is behind brush you will not see it but it can be see it by a enemy who is behind. If you character is IN the brush you are not autamaticaly in invisible, you are hard to see but if you move to much you can be seen, the good thing you can hide by a player who is behind too.

Invisible pools, well im not much sure about this, maye put a invisible pool who make the player complete invisible while you are inside, like WvWvW pool, but the hide is only active while you are inside, and of course you are still vulnerable to attacks, maybe add in the center of the jungle or something.

In EU Baruch Bay server was almost every day, the event to open de doors is bugged at the start, the Pact party who have to protect stay in the same place always without moving.

I dont know why they put conquest event to dungeons if they are always bug -_-, in each patch have mor bug and less thing fixed.

This is the biggest upset I have had with ANET in the past 7 years of playing their games. I have no hope for getting my legendary now. What ever happened to no grinding in the game? First you take away Plinx. That literally killed Cursed Shore. Then to put life back into dungeons so we aren’t speed clearing them you make bosses drop these special bags and loot. You want people to do your dungeons? Make. It. Worth. The. Time. We shouldn’t have to spend an hour and a half in Arah for 6 blues, 3 greens, 20-60 tokens, and 1800 karma. Did you see how many people did the Lost Shores event once we knew that spending 2 hours in the event chain for 4-5 exotics was the reward? People wanted to do that event. Right now there is no motivation to do anything except sit in LA and stare at the screen.

The most money this farm brought in per hour was 4g for my group. That’s not that much when mats are 30s a piece and we need 250-500 of Powerful Bloods/Ectos/Dust/Icy Runestones. If it all comes down to how much money is being earned per hour, you better get rid of the trading post as well. You’re slowly pushing the best profit in this game towards buying off of one of those Chinese gold selling websites. Fix it.

To those who say you haven’t grinded at all, quit sucking up to ANET. Be honest and tell the truth. ANET, you have done a great job with this game. But the things you have promised us are falling apart. There is still a massive amount of grind.

You wonder why people are farming arah ?

WIth the actual mat price, the only way to win money to buy things is farm farm farm farm farm.

I make 2 complete dungeons , WvWvW every day, and all i can see is blue, blue, blue , and some greends items everywhere.

I just spend all yesterday farming Arah with MF and yeah i win gold thx to the 15 silver of bosses, but the only thing that i see in the chest is blues, blues, blues blues, green, i can count the yellows with the fingers of one hand. And i thought, if i would made a 20 complete Explorable runs in Arah opening around80 chest the only thing that i would see it be blue items….seriulsy ?

You dont want that the people farm like old GW1 right ? ( raptors, vaettirs, UW, FOW, etc…) Ok, then make dungeons, events, loot profitable, the only way to win money now is find a farm, just do the same all day, all day, you dont want it…ok, make play the game profitable, is sad spend 1 hour making Arah, win 6 blue and 4 greens, sell it for 20S and cant even buy a T6 with this, and all with the rest of dungeons or events.

You nerf this farm because you win too much gold, ok 30 SIlver in a “normal” pug 5 minutes. Ok , with this “super farm” you “only need” 250 runs to buy a Ascend item or 2000 runs to buy the T6 mats to a Legendary. 1600 runs to the over farm Aarah zone ????

Now just think how you win this money doing normal dungeons , events etc.. is a bad joke, is not that Aarah farm is over or other recently nerf farms, is that win money in GW2 is a nigthmare.

Why have to pass 30-60 mintues making a dungeon , events chain, or WvWvW chest for 6 blue and 4 greens when i can win the same items killing 10 randoms enemies in 10 minutos in a normal map.

And this is only the beggining, the T6 mats and ecto are more expensive every day because there are no “normal and regular” way to get, and nerfing farms, in the hnext weeks we have to play aaaall day only to get 2 Ecto or 2 T6 mats.

To me the sad thing is not only that they nerf a good farm when the game state right now is a Grindfest thx to the high price of T6 mats and Ecto, and the requeriment to Ascend gear.

The sad is, nerf a farm —-→15 min hot fix

Fix Hatchery mission to continue the story mode —→ 1 Month

Fix Bjarl in COE Path 1 —→ More of 1 week and still no fix, still waiting.

And this is only two example, critical bug in dungeons, story missions , events etc.. last weeks, but nerf farms hotfix in 15 minutes.

Events: Too much lag but good, it need more spreed in the map.

Fractal: Fun, great dungeon but the difficulty level need be based in account, or that if a party member have lvl 15 for example and the rest of the party lvl 7-6-10 can enter in lvl 15. Right now to me the lvl system only make hard to get group or cant play with friends if they not have enough lvl.

Result the grind win.

Ascend Items: Worst thing to happen GW saga in 8 years to me, if you cant rollback after all the fedback of the forum, at least stop here.

Before Shores YES, right now with Ascend Items NO.

New Gear threadmille, and excesive grind to get 1 upgrade of your gear, before a Armor Set cost 30 T6Mats with the upgrade, right now get 1 ring 250 +100 of the upgrade, and dont make me talk about the ectos.

It cost 14 times now more get 1 upgrade, that get 5 rings before, seriusly arena.net ?

You had a great game with a great community, now you throw to garbage your game, betray and lie to your community, right now you have angry community, thx to morph this in Diablo 3 forum, but you deserve it.

Normally i defend arena.net but with ascend gear i only can feel sadness.

The review is totally acuarate, they simple lied to us to trap WoW players, before the Ascende gear update i was just have fun collect skins to my weapons/armor, build armors to each of my weapons and builds without worry about my stats, only work for my rare skins exactly like GW1 like they promise us.

But now only see people doing fractal and if you havent enougn “lvl fractal” you are out , it doenst matter your skills or experience, only count grind the dungeon to get enough Agony resis and “fractal lvl”.

Until now you could play without worry about your stat, now in my guild the people are obsessed with have “more stats” thx ascended gear, many who came from wow in my Guild left the game thx to this update, they said that they come to GW to forget the endless grind to have more stats, now they have it in GW, and they said that dont buy any expansion because they feel scamed.

Always loved arena.net but in this i dont feel pity, you will lose many of your GW1 core costumer, and you will lose many of your new costumer who came for “no grind for stats” and now feel betrayed.

Maybe right doesnt matter to arena.net, they already had our money, but we will see in the next expansion.

And if arena.net show some guts they will talk with the Community about the poor feedback and reputation that they are getting ( Mike O´brian is hidden by his desk after the manifesto or what ? ), and think again about put more ascended gear before made more damage to the game.

The issue, they simple ignore while the MOD and CM army close posts while the community still wait a answer for the reason to change the philosophy game.

Yes, i loved play GW1 and GW2 until this weekend ( ascend items cough ) because the equipamient is relative “easy and fast”, its about improve the palyer not the gear, and give you the option to have many gear ready for each build.

If you want great skins you have to work, and its great but you can you your job with ugly skins too.

GW2 was like GW1 until this Weekend, now the new Ascend items, the new gear threadmile trying to make a item progresion is the worst what happen to GW saga since 28 april 2005.

I still have hope to arena.net reopen his eyes and stop made ascend items and leave the game like GW1 and until now, but it seem that they change his philosophy to make happy old WoW users.

I would like that Mike O´brian give a answer to the community for such change after told and retold about that the gear would be like the GW items , no gear progresion and people work only about skins.

It sad that now arena.net is knowed in video game forum and mmo community like a “lie company” after this.

No healing Ascended Back piece?

There are no healing back pack and the only healing ascended ring “all the stats” in one, less HP that a exotic.

I dont know what arena.net is thinking, want to kill the support build too now ? I have to wait without ascend items with the hope that would put one some day ? Put some random item only for +5 resis but with worse stats to me ?

I put a topic because this too but it seem that arena.net want stay in silence.
