I don’t think it’s a good idea to remove commander tag however I agree that the current state of getting commander tag is too easy. 100g? pfff. Make the people earn at least pvp rank 20, wvw rank 50 and level 80. Also make them require to either get every boss achievement or have done at least 5 different world events (succesfully).

Then you’d have your elite. This is non-sense. Commander tags don’t say anything about a commander.

I myself am commander and compared to other commanders I have actually been thanked by people for leading those people the loot-lusted-commanders aren’t leading.

I would have said 5 karma.. and allowing farming. (Still requiring to rezz ~910 npcs/people for 1 orrian jewel box)

I find 50 karma a lot as it almost equals the amount of karma you get from the lowest karma potion.

Ill repeat you’re going to need conjure eles summoning FGS and frostbows for mass aoe on teq. Just run standard dps builds in pvt gear for the frontline group and make them pick up the bows and fgs’s.

That’s why I’d also suggest some necro’s to put in both damage wells for ticking on tequatls health..

Count me in too, I usually play in the evenings.
Do you guys have a voice chat? It would be very useful.

One issue though: wouldn’t all the guesting to one specific server actually cause overflows?

We have multiple tries and not everyone is active at the same time or when a tequatl boss event is going to be active. I may not know how many people match on a single map but I think we should be okay up to the 100.

I don’t like the idea of having the guild called TKS (Tequatl Killer Squad) as we’ll probably meet upon more challenging content. So a Tequatl Killer Squad wouldn’t match another challenging boss or war. xDD

Between I could ask my clan whether or not they have enough slots in their teamspeak. I hope so. xDD

Besides, do you consider using teamspeak? I would really recommend this as it’s faster than in-game chat.

Keep in mind guilds are world wide though guesting is restricted..

I’d also advice using 3 commanders (1st easy protecting the megalaser 2nd easier to protect all hylek turrets and damaging tequatl).

I could do one of those though my English pronunciation isn’t as good. (I would advice any VoIP program or the like for tequatl anyways.)

I bought the commander tag for wvw and for helping people in the new pve content as events gotten pretty difficult requiring a certain amount of people gathered.

Arenanet you should definitely increase the chance to drop exotics on higher bosses and definitely increase the amount of dragonite ore you get from bosses. I understand that you get like hardly anything from the bosses as they were like no big deal. Now they’re more difficult but the loot equals what it has been for the easy bosses.

At the end of the level, right before the chest. I can’t use push on the logs to hit the bell, and the bridge wont drop down. Is there any fix to this?

Log(s)?? If there’s more than one, you’re in a party with other people?

When doing solo all logs are there but only one has a push icon and only this one can be pushed and needs to be pushed.

It was a lot of fun using the Hall of Monuments to calculate your GW1 points.

It would be cool to have an achievement library/json/database to recreate this with your own style.

Requires:
- id

An achievement should be able to give you the following values:
- name
- description
- category
- ranks
- achievement points per rank (or anything similar)
- title (do I get a title when achieving it?)
- chest / item (what else you gain when achieving it)

Not that it’s something important but would be helpful to prevent lots of copying or typing.

Well I just recently had the idea of getting a super shield skin but I don’t wanna pay that much gold nor do I want a green or yellow one. Since world 3 has red and world 4 purple skins there’s no way to get blue ones anymore… That’s sad.

Anet definitely should add a “Song of Saving” with a new music instrument upgrade in world 3. Having to play notes between 1 and 6.

Creating a temporal checkpoint including position and world/zone information. If you would save this information in the character there’s no problem to load it once you left.

However in tribulation mode this should be disallowed. Tribulation mode wouldn’t be what it is if you could just continue where you stopped few hours before.

First of all:
Thank you ArenaNet for the great nerve of difficulty in world 2.

When I first started playing world 2 I was like: “Oh okay.. if that’s the difficulty of world 2. How are they supposed to top it in world 3 and world 4.”

The Super Adventure Box tries to emulate the classic games we – or at least some of us – used to play. It’s usual – for classic games especially – to have an increasing difficulty the further you get. In SAB World 2 before the patch it felt like the change of difficulty from world 1 to world 2 was too big. With this patch world 2 seems to have a much better difficulty. Now I hope you won’t make World 3 too difficult to not match to the increase of difficulty from World 2 to 4.

I also hope the Super Adventure Box will stay open forever once Moto finished the game. I know many people “Ugh Super Adventure Box sucks, it has nothing to do with Guild Wars” but I’d really love to look into it every now and then enjoying a classic adventure.

The idea of having a flute that lets you learn and play several songs with effect is really awesome.

Those songs are extremely useful. Back when the secret song didn’t exist it felt like a pain to find the secrets. Having the secrets attached to achievements was horrible. Now that the flute with the secret song exists those achievements are pretty fair.

I’m not a fan of kaizo Mario so I really didn’t enjoy the hardmode except a few places (for example World 2-3: the first half). At first I imagined hardmode to be something like:

- less heal item drop
- no heal items in shops
- losing twice the health (e.g. poison water ticks 1 heart and monkeys that hit you take 2 hearts)
- more enemies
- increased difficulty in jumping passages
- removing certain npc’s or objects (e.g. some of the crocodiles in World 2-1)

I really enjoy playing the Super Adventure Box and I hope more great content as well as a bonus world maybe? (yeah, a 5th secret world would be really awesome)

Edit: Coming to think about the flute. It would be nice to find an upgrade in the later game (ocarina? xDD) with which you can play more than 3 notes and learn songs that uses more than 3 notes.

Good example would be The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: where you first be able to play an ocarina having to learn songs that use 5 notes (up down left right, a)

Power leveling in this game

you can also level fast trough dynamic events, map completion in between and more. However, the amount of time to level this way requires a lot of time and effort. A lot more than 8h crafting. On the other hand it cost you little gold/money to do so.

That’s not true. You can get your character to 80 in a decent amount of time by simply doing heart quests and every now and then an event you meet oh and story. However the heart quests should equal your or a higher level. If you then farm heart quest for heart quest that has your level or above. You have your character to 80 quite fast.

Of course this still takes longer than crafting but taking the time aspect into consideration this is cheap and fast. I guess everyone can bare 1-5 days.

I think you can also talk to people via the /me command. I’m not sure about that though.

That gives you the report option.

The way to get in a party with them is to target them, then click the party arrow (> at the top left) and click Invite. It’ll invite your target, even if you don’t have their account name. From there, you can, if they accept the invite, PM them as you now have their account name.

Guess that was fixed then?

Power is the attribute of your damage. You increase power stat by increasing your power.
Toughness + armor’s defense = Armor. Your enemies damage is divided through your armor.

Important attributes are:
attack – your actual damage stat
armor – your actual defense stat
crit chance – your chance to land a critical strike
crit damage – percent of increased damage on critical hit
condition damage – your actual condition damage stat
condition duration – percent of increased condition duration
boon duration – percent of increased boon duration
class attribute – percent of improved class abilities

I bet elementalist dagger air isn’t much bigger than greatsword.

Melee is 50-200 to me
Short range to me is about 300-600
Range is 900-1000 to me
Long Range is 1200-1500 to me

Arah is a really difficult dungeon in difficult dungeons I would only advice health or defense builds for classes that have hardly any resistance or can’t steadily get away from enemy aggro.

You need to represent the guild in order to participate in a guild mission. Otherwise you just get karma and exp rewards of a regular event.

This is correct. If you are not representing the guild and help on the mission you will only get karma and exp.

Well you get the chest at the end two and you MIGHT find a golden item if you’re lucky. ^^’ (if there is one: guild riddle, guild sprint)

Profession Advice for a New Player

1. Pretty limited play time – maybe 5 or so hours per week
Doesn’t matter
2. Looking for a PvE focused profession – if I PvP someday, then great, but not in my near future
Doesn’t matter either lol
3. Looking for a profession that can solo (PvE) very well – my average session is only about an hour and no RL friends playing so don’t want to have to wait around for groups but I would like to do as much of the content as possible
It depends on your skill but I heard nothing good about engineer and mesmer.
4. Definitely not afraid of a challenging profession with more depth – I prefer something with more potential but difficult to master
1. Mesmer, 2. Thief, 3. Elementalist, 4. Guardian,
dunno about engineer.
5. Variety in play style is always a plus
Almost every class has variety in play style.
6. No preference on range vs melee – happy to consider either
Well everyone can do range and everyone can do melee lol.
7. General “fun” factor – I’ve played games in the past where sometimes the developers just get a couple classes right on the fun / entertainment scale
My top list: Elementalist, Guardian, Thief, Necromancer, Warrior
Haven’t played the other classes much though..
8. Balance of fun while leveling and long-term potential – most of my time will be spent leveling so recommending a class that really shines at lvl 80 but is a drag to get there isn’t ideal. With that said, if I do hit 80, not real likely I’ll hit it again with another character.
I found Necromancer too difficult at first (might be missing skill)
Warrior got boring at the middle.
Guardian was a lot of fun through out
