You can buy all ascended gear there ever will be with laurels. The only exception is the back item. Which you either craft in the mystic forge or buy in FoTM.

However if ascended weapons and ascended armor is ever sold is another question…

Maybe make it an extra item you could buy. Thus being used for every instrument and it’s optional. :P
Something like an audio recorder that records your notes one after another or lets you record your music in a small text edit being interpreted. When played using the item you currently use to make music or anything like that.
But this feature being added to the horn itself. I don’t know.

I didn’t really understand the server difference before, never really played any mmos like wow etc, think I made a mistake choosing fissure of woe, it sounds cool but is quite lonely :p lol

The problem is that switching to higher populated servers is more expensive than switching to lower.

However there are a few guilds on servers that actually farm the money for other people to switch.

To be honest I find the invite system from dancing really annoying. That big red message on the screen is so unnecessary.

A popup would be even worse.
I really think the “/command *” commands are a swift nice and short way to synchronize your dance with another person near. But you can’t actually dance with them that way it only makes you dance synchronized.

I don’t know… may be because I’m a programmer and I prefer commands. ^^’

I prefer the current way to play. It actually asks for a certain distinct of skill just like in real life. Not anyone can play a horn, flute, ocarina, keyboard or guitar.

I’m on elona’s reach and you usually see hardly anyone out in areas where there’s nothing special. Most people are at world bosses, in orr, at dungeon entrances, etc.
Unlike in Lion’s Arch. On this server it’s impossible not to find a player on lions arch (unlike on Vabbi lol, you do several people on Vabbi too but you can’t compare it to elona’s reach)

However it often happens that I stumble upon several players on my journey through areas. The amount of people I see lies between 5-60. May be more or less dunno.

How to Fix the Living Story in Guild Wars 2!

You can’t make orr go back to normal because half of the players and a handful of my characters didn’t kill Zhaitan yet. This is exactly where the problem in gw2 is.
If in real life there’d be a building and you’d destroy it. It’s broken for everyone. So no one else can destroy it. (Molten Facility)
However in gaming if it belongs to the main story you can’t just let Zhaitan die. That would mean that the actual in game story couldn’t be finished anymore. The undead would be gone. Many problems would be solved and many stories would be useless or make no sense.

When playing an RPG instead of an MMORPG you can do all this because if you do something there’s no other player missing the content you did.

Nah, kidding but you have to agree keeping dancing to only be able to dance with your race is somehow racist.
I just have no idea how a charr and an asura would dance… but I’d love to see that.

How about you need to use a different command e.g. “/dance +” instead of “/dance” or “/dance *” so it only works if both players do the command nearly at the same time like “/dance *”. Then you need no cool down and the other person can decline or not do so.

“/dance +”: dance with another person who enters the command at the same time (about 6 sec sync)
“/hug”: hug yourself
“/hug +” hug another person who enters the command at the same time (again 6 sec sync or so)
“/hug *” sync with another character using hug command (again 6 sec sync time or so)
“/kiss”: do an air kiss
“/kiss *”: sync your air kiss with another player
“/kiss +”: kiss another player who uses the same command (again 6 sec sync :P)

The problem I have is not that everybar is fully orange. It’s that a bar is not in it’s own color full and I didn’t get the “blah blah finished.”. ^^

Plus your system wouldn’t work infinite because you would end up crashing the game with an overflow error by keep on increasing the required value. That’s why the salvaging achievement is linear.

An infintie achievement can’t be completed and that’s the problem I have. Sure you can say “oh yeah I finished it but I could still continue increasing the percentage of another bar on top of mine having every bar fully blue.” Then that doesn’t work.

Sure it’s a matter of opinion and it’s just the way I am and I can’t change that unfortunately but I don’t like the idea of infinite achievements.

That goal post really gets moving huh!

Those are basically good rules but A-net is even a little lax on the racial city, lorewise. The norn don’t have a racial city because they are fiercely independent. What they do have is hoelbrak which is just a settlement that Knut is kind enough to allow others into.

So really, any tribal village area could serve as a “racial city”.

I’m talking about a capital city. Where usually the main person or people live. E.g. Queen, Skritt king, Tribun, etc. etc..
A potential capital city is one that has it’s own area. Lions Arch, Divinity’s Reach, Rata Sum, etc. which also have instances (very important: home instance)

The Tengu city is definitely a potential capital city. The Kodan have one too the question however is… is the Kodan’s capital city actually an own area or will it have a home instance? The reason for an own area is simply to cut between safe and dangerous area. No potential city has enemies you have to fight with the exception of instances.

This is definitely a bug. I did CoF once a day 2 runs with 2 different character with the following results:

Day: char1 char2

No, in sPvP it doesn’t matter whether you’re afk or not. sPvP is quite open to anyone to freely join in the middle of the game or people going akitten the middle of the game. I see no problems with this. In the next game the afk player is sorted out as viewer.

However in tPvP it’s completely different. It’s a battle of 2 teams fighting each other with all they have to win the prize. If someone goes afk they can’t leave the queue. You can’t leave the tPvP queue. I already tried several times. Once you’re singed, you’re signed and you have to play. If you have to go afk then, that’s really trouble some and you might even get raged at.

Even if it increases to a point where it’s not possible to do in the respective month where is the point where you can say, happily: “Oh my after all my work I was able to finish these achievements. I can’t believe myself what I achieved!”

Although we have to say that the Dragon Bash achievements contain of almost only farm achievements. I really need this feeling to know “Okay, I completed all achievements, that’s great.” It’s the only motivation for me to do living story. I always get 100% of the achievements. If those achievements were to be infinite I could never reach the point where I say “Okay, now I’m happy with what I did. Let’s get back to the normal stuff.”.

- is a potential story possible to be made up?
- is there a capital city for them?
- does the capital city have potential for a race?
- do character models match?
- who is the potential enemy?
- how is the race effected by the dragons?

Doing this would result in the achievements not being real achievements as you can never achieve them.
Second people would use this to farm achievement points.
=> the top PvE list wouldn’t be as accurate anymore.

If you sign a tpvp match and you have to go afk. And a fight starts (you can’t leave as you have already signed). Now you need to do something important till the match end or longer you get 4 points. That’s okay however. If the rest of your team reports you, you get an extra 2-10 points. Thus with 6 to 14 points you have to wait 60 minutes for something you can’t do anything about.

There should be a max of points you can gain per match which is always below the required amount to have a 60 minutes lock out. Something like a max of 4 or 6 dishonorable points.

Dancing basically works already (syncro dancing I mean).

However co-op dancing is still missing.. but that’s a bit difficult to do…

charr + asura… hmm I don’t know…

Marrying is possible but only with some fantasy. I don’t know if this is a very good idea but I guess for some people this might be quite handful. I wouldn’t place it on top of the list of things to do but somewhere in the high-lower partition.

But charr kill charr, asura kill asura, humans kill humans, sylvari kill sylvari, norn kill norn.

If those “Elona Centaurs” exist (which I don’t know since I didn’t play Guild Wars 1) then I don’t see any problems except for the armor models.

Sure as Charr you kill Charr’s but you don’t kill the same type of charr’s. I mean you don’t go and kill Charr’s which are in your same legion. E.g. iron legion doesn’t kill iron legion. Norn kill Svanir and not their brothers. Yet in GW2 every centaur basically are the same. Adding a centaur race ignoring elona centaurs would make no sense.

Except you know a simple way to tell whether certain centaurs are evil and certain centaurs aren’t. Same for hylek (besides their color) there is no cultural difference between good and bad.

I don’t think tpvp knows whether a person has a dc or leaves.

I think if you go afk during a match it is okay. It actually may occur once every now and a while when someone needs something from you which is important but you already signed your name on tpvp. There’s no way to leave tpvp after you signed your name on the list.

However repeated akitten games following on each other. That’s obviously wrong.

Centaur and Krait won’t appear as playable race. That’s definite. They’re evil from the roots.
Hylek, Grawls and Skritt as playable characters is too confusing as you have to fight your own race.
Kodan is possible and very likely.
There’s not much information about Largos but possible.

I prefer this suggestion to selling for laurels. Laurels should only be gained by dailies (maybe some day even weeklies) and monthlies.

Throwing them into the forge may also achieve in you getting other ascended gear like accessories. Making it possible to gain everything you need for fractals from the fractals.

I, as a professional horn player, find this “abusing” simply terrible but unfortunately you can’t talk or change the trolls mind.
It’s always been like that. The only way to fight a troll is either, report or pure ignore. They want attention and they shouldn’t get attention. Plus there are some people that are generally unfriendly all around the world. There definitely should be a /block or /ignore or /mute command.

P.S. For anyone who bought the horn or has the bell here’s a nice tune (it’s a more advanced one):

“I like to punch my enemies”: Warrior, Guardian, Thief, Elementalist
“being sturdy”: (taking hits) Guardian, Warrior, (avoiding hits) Thief, Mesmer, (healing through) Elementalist, other professions are sorta a mix of everything
“fast”: Thief, Elementalist, Mesmer
“being outnumbered”: You’ll always die unless you’re a Thief, Mesmer or Elementalist and manage to outrun pursuers
“i hate AI dependance”: Avoid Rangers and Necromancers
“be useful with my guild members in wvw”: Any profession applies

“I like to punch my enemies”: necromancer is also able to punch enemies
“being sturdy”: necromancer is basically a squishy class. You can be sturdy with him for a while.
“fast”: Necromancer has a signet 25% speed
“being outnumbered”: in WvW outnumbered fights always end up with you having problems except you’re thief, elementalist or necromancer so you can make yourself invincible when finishing off a foe.
“i hate AI dependance”: the ranger has a huge AI dependence. Necromancers AI dependence is optional. If you want to be a minion master than be a minion master. You don’t have to though. (however you’ll always spawn a small monster that dies after a certain time which appears when you kill an enemy when using a minimum of 5 points on defense… honestly I’ve been ignoring it all the way xDDD)
“be useful with my guild members in wvw”: With necro you can tank for a certain time, you can control conditions and foe’s boons to a certain point and make yourself more or less invincible for a certain damage or time. You can also throw hell lot of conditions and area damage onto your enemies.

Community WvW matchmaking Ideas

Before the change, servers their fighting each other depending on their rating.
Now servers fight each other with a higher range but still dependent on rating.
The pro about the current system is that if another server is good against another server relative to their previous points, they might increase their rating and thus their place.

This wasn’t possible before. (also people e.g. Vabbi complained about having the same enemy over and over again).

How to Fix the Living Story in Guild Wars 2!

Yeah, but if you keep the dungeon it’s not party of a living story. as a living story always changes and due to the changes you have a loss of certain features. Anet themselves said the living story is a great opportunity for them to test mechanics, features, etcetera.

I don’t know, rejoining the dungeon seems awkward to me. Well it’s pure opinion but I don’t like the idea. Doesn’t mean I don’t like the idea of reusing the mechanics in another way.

As I already said. I’m totally fine with the current living story however it consists of maybe 96% temporal and 4% permanent. That’s not as it should be. It should be 66% temporal and 33% permanent. We have 8 dungeons in Tyria, we can level up to 80 levels. The number 8 appears often. Fractal of the Mists is a special dungeon supposed to give the player a challenge. (the challenge consists of increased enemy strength and health as well as agony. Imo it should consist of interaction difficulty such as given in molten facility but that’s another story)

Honestly I really don’t like the idea of another dungeon as long we can’t level up to 90.

But then again it’s mostly my own opinion.

You could still recycle the molten facility using a living story about the dwarfs and primorodus (or whatever his name was) when the destroyers find the molten facility and adapt the technologies using the power. Unlike fire legion and dredge, this story would be permanent just like Zhaitan is permanent. (also introducing dwarfs and underground cities, as well as the old city of the asura’s)

That’s content right there, my friends.

To me the molten facility died. It was ruined by me and my friends so it’s gone forever. Which doesn’t mean it doesn’t stay in our memories. And something being in Tyria’s memory may most likely appear in Fractals of the Mist. That’s the only plausible thing where Molten Facility could reappear in my opinion.

You explore all maps just to end up having to farm T6 materials so you can get a legendary in the end. Oh wait by then you might have bought the legendary. So what to do with the gift? I have no idea.

It should be possible to use the gift of exploration for something you can’t buy. Like ascended stuff. You can’t buy it. You have to earn it.

And no. Don’t add something where the gift of exploration is 50% and the rest is complete farming. That’s no earning.

Missing areas in Explorer titles

In orr the only things that I have been missing were parts of the sea and the Orr’s spring. I have no idea how I missed it even though I did the story and walked through the halls.

In maguuma I never noticed that there is a level 26 area in Brisban Wildnis at the very west. The rest was fine for me.

In shiverpeak there were a few extremely difficult to find caves. I had to use a tutorial.

Honestly… I like the titles and I have no problem with them. It’s always interesting to know whether or not a player has killed 250k people in WvW :P

Just make an on/off option then everyone is happy.

People are going to rage against this. Well it’s a suggestion I leave it to be discussed anyway (maybe someone actually likes ~something into this direction~:

Damage vs Foes
Cost, Desc
5, +1% damage against foes
10, +2% damage against foes
15, +3% damage against foes
30, +4% damage against foes
45, +5% damage against foes
60, Increases critical hit chance by 10% when hitting a foe
75, +7% damage against foes
90, Decreases condition time of foes
105, +9% damage against foes
120, Increase boon time by 1% for each stack (Max stack: 5)

Defense Against Foes
5, 1% reduced damage from foes
10, 2% reduced damage from foes
15, 3% reduced damage from foes
30, 4% reduced damage from foes
45, 5% reduced damage from foes
60, Gain Aegis when a foe hits you (Max once every 60s)
75, 7% reduced damage from foes
90, Gain retaliation (10s) when a foe critical hits you (Max once every 20s)
105, 9% reduced damage from foes
120, Gain a small bit of your health when hitting your foes¹

¹It starts with 9 health per hit and increases for each killed foe to a max stack of 5:
9, 18, 27, 36, 54

IF THIS IS TOO OVERPOWERED:
- modify price
- change or modify abilities
- make it only work for those with a lower rang
- make it only work for those with a higher rang
- do not add at all

98% completion, still missing pois

Divinity’s Reach often doesn’t show a completion number. Besides you can’t 100% Divinity’s Reach without having the living story continue.

The POI is DR is already obtainable. The change went in 2 or 3 updates ago.

Hmmm didn’t notice any new changes to the living story content except some bug fixes…

Make Fractals of the Mist Rewards worthwhile

I totally agree. As of now it doesn’t matter which difficulty level you run FoTM. If you do 10 or 30 you get the exact same random loot. The only thing that changes is the amount of fractal relics and the daily chest loot.

However once you got all your gear or almost all you don’t see any purpose in FoTM.
The only good loot you get from FoTM are cores and stones. Here again it doesn’t matter if oyu run 10 or 30.
