Does anyone know how to get this event cycle to spawn

then”
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kill_the_Nightmare_Wolfmaster_and_her_giant_thorn_wolf
These 2 should cycle but they don’t. 2 different ip’s and nothing for hours.
It’s rumored certain other events must be completed first but I’ve done everything on the map short of Guild Missions, unless I’ve missed something? Lakoon’ta is always running asking for help but there’s no event. Does anyone know what needs to be done?

If you think a ken doll is, externally, biologically accurate, I have a couple of websites you should visit.

And the Ken doll comment is………strange. Have you actually seen a naked person? They have external features that a Ken doll doesn’t have.

What!? ken is not a male? My whole world just got flipped!

I’m going to assume from your comments that the only naked person you’ve ever seen is yourself, and that you look like Ken.

This is indeed unfortunate for you, on several levels. Medically speaking though there is something that can be done, there is reconstructive surgery. I suggest you make an appointment with a doctor. It will indeed “flip your world”

Good luck.

As much as you would like to see and discuss my genetalia I think its best that we keep it tourselves. if you have an urge there are plenty of other people available to you im sure.

No there are no genetalia. The story has explained this. They do not reproduce in any way. They sprouted from the pale tree.

The lore says they have external genitals.

Dream and Nightmare

No one knows how long the sylvari live. The oldest of their race are the firstborn, all of whom awakened twenty-five years ago. Sylvari show little signs of growing old, and none have yet died of advanced age. Physically, sylvari are male or female, and the relevant external biology is accurate on both, but they cannot sexually reproduce as the other races do; they have no internal organs capable of creating children. Whether they have their own methods of reproduction outside of the Pale Tree has yet to be seen.

No genetalia. It says Physically. not biologically. Ever seen a Ken doll? Can’t expect an understanding when you’re educated through magazines. Dolls have relevant external biology…but no genetalia. duh.

what features were taken out of core and moved to hot?

Nothing. They removed some gold gold from dungeons in hopes it would drive more people to fractals but fractals loot is still the same if not worse. And we’ll see what raids has to offer loot wise soon.

Player housing is a terrible idea. There is plenty available as is with home instances and now guild halls are pretty customizable and will only become more so.

Can we move the Mentor tag to a later tier?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Grover.8753

Grover.8753

Yeah. If anything it shouldn’t be unlocked until you’ve maxed out Pact mastery. Better yet it should only unlock a pact merchant that sells you the tag for 200g + 1000 Crests. Even better Remove it entirely. Seems like one of those things that’s a good idea but implemented wrongly. Someone at Anet simply can’t afford a real tag so they threw the idea on the board " How about another tag for PvE that ANYONE can get. I don’t want to command in WvW and I don’t need anything special so why can’t I just have a visual tag that can be abused as a commander tag but not have to pay for it?"

So you spent 30 bucks on a commander tag and are now bitter that people get a “free” PvE only tag that one one ever uses?

30 bux? no no i spent 100g. I’m not bitter. It’s just pointless for everyone to have a tag given to them. They should have to earn it. You can’t mentor if you’re not good enough at your trade. You have to master it first. Everyone who thinks that people are just mad because others had to pay for a tag are only looking for a defensive argument for the mentor tag when there isn’t one. You are probably one of those people who couldn’t get a real tag.

Have to earn it. Hmmm. You mean like leveling to 80. Playing the game enough to earn mastery points and then playing the game some more and getting enough exp to get the mastery line filled up? Or do you mean earning it by plunking down enough gold to buy it?

by earning the gold to buy it. by earning the completed mastery track. The new things they added called “Masteries” which requires 19 mastery points to complete. All of that makes sense. i don’t understand how you are confused.

I’m not confused. I’m checking your level of confusion.

Masteries can actually require more gameplay and knowledge of the game than a commander tag, which could be “earned” by buying gold. Even if you get the gold in game, most ways of earning gold are irrelevant to using a commander tag properly and therefore don’t show that the tag was earned and most definitely don’t show that the person has the first clue on how to commander effectively.

but they earned the gold to buy it. which means they have knowledge of how to earn gold. most players can’t keep over 100g. Even more so now 300g. . And you’re exactly right. masteries require more knowledge of the game. Which is why it should be required you max the mastery before you can get the tag. but then again you can stand around leeching events all day and get masteries or sit in CoF spamming 1 and get your masteries.
So you think it’s more correct for anyone who can simply only unlock one mastery track (Tier 1 of 5) which requires minimum knowledge and skill in the game to be called a mentor than for someone who has spent countless hours playing through the game earning the required gold AND badges of honor. Too much of the “entitlement” boast coming from people nowadays. Gimme everything with no effort please. Oh well. I’m not gonna argue with you forum warrior. you spend more time on the forums arguing people than you do playing the game. So your opinion has no weight.

Strange, that’s what I think about your opinion, and your bought and paid for tag. ^^

Im glad to see you agree it should be earned.

its only a gold sink if u make it that. There are a lot of players who can’t hold on to a lot of gold and get the hundreds they need to buy their precursor but they can easily craft a few things each day and gather what they need through simply playing the game.
So farm it all yourself and it will take months and not a lot of gold to complete.

All those mats still cost the same amount of money. It doesn’t matter whether you farm it or buy it. If you farm it and use it, you’re losing out on money you could have made selling it. It’s called opportunity cost.

yes. everyone throwing around the phrase “opportunity cost” but opportunity cost would be not playing at all and just working a 2nd job to buy gold. because you can’t earn more gold playing than you would buying it. but not everyone plays to hoard gold. There is a slight difference between the words “goal” and “gold”. Those of you throwing around opportunity cost don’t care about crafting a legendary. Your only focus is profit.

its only a gold sink if u make it that. There are a lot of players who can’t hold on to a lot of gold and get the hundreds they need to buy their precursor but they can easily craft a few things each day and gather what they need through simply playing the game. Everybody has this idea that having tons of gold is the only way to attain your legendary but its not. The collections give people something to work on overtime instead of dumping hundreds down the toilet. Note that none of purchases were ordered so prices can be +/- 100g . The majority of cost for Zap was from Deldrimor Ingots. If a player was able to craft one of these per day it would take him 75 days (2.5 months) to complete their precursor.

People were expecting a long gathering and exploring process that would take months to complete but wouldnt cost much gold. Instead we have yet another goldsink. Just another excuse to add more grind in this theoretically no-grindy game

So farm it all yourself and it will take months and not a lot of gold to complete.

Crafted Spark and Zap

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Grover.8753

Grover.8753

A little bit of info for some……

I finished crafting Spark yesterday and have Tier 3 Zap unlocked. All prices were rounded up to the nearest silver (even Master Crafter supplies, i.e. Thermo, primordium, Coal, etc.) I did all the math at current TP prices (2:34AM PST) counting NO BUY ORDERS and only using INSTANT BUY prices so that the total would come out to the most expensive cost.

Spark Crafting cost : 616g 14s
Current Insta-buy : 815g 98s

Zap Crafting cost : 866g 08s
Current Insta-buy : 915g
Zap Tier 3 requires 1 Capacative Bottle which was cheaper to buy than to craft so I bought it instead of crafting.

If you want a complete and total break down I’ll post it. SOME precursors may be more expensive to craft than they sell on the TP due in fact to their lack of popularity but these pres ARE CHEAPER TO CRAFT THAN TO BUY. So all this nonsensical BS about precursor crafting is too expensive needs to stop. Not all precursors require the same material costs and their prices will fluctuate but I’m sure well see many more Sparks popping up on the TP. Remember the market still needs to settle so prices will change.

Edit: Only need 1 bottle

What arguments? Everything I’ve said is a fact. This is about how we are enjoying the Precursor crafting. Incinerator will be my 12th Legendary. Starting from scratch, you can craft spark theprecursor in 20 days. I don’t understand how farming something and earning it costs you gold? If you mean" I’m losing gold by not selling the mats" then that’s your choice. You have zero argument and that is your own fault.

I don’t understand how farming something and earning it costs you gold? If you mean" I’m losing gold by not selling the mats" then that’s your choice.

I don’t understand

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opportunity_cost

If I’m doing the go-to farm for say 15g/h and you are mining for say the equivalent of 5g/h then you are losing out on 10g/h of profit that you could’ve made per hour. You do that either because you don’t know/understand this concept or because mining is >10g/h worth of more fun to you than doing said grind.
And we both lose out on however many hours of real life work we could have been doing instead, which even at minimum wage were ridiculous sums over the process of crafting a legendary. Or whichever unit you want to convert your time into that’s most valuable to you.

Hope it helps you – or anyone else – understand.

So doing anything else in the game outside of the “most profitable” thing is a waste of time and a loss. What you’re saying is that playing GW2 instead of going and getting a 2nd job or working overtime hours is is a loss. By your logic, anytime spent actually PLAYING the game is a waste and I should just buy gold. because nothing in the game is faster than buying gold. Everyone whom actually plays the game how ever they wish is losing your so called “opportunity cost”.

Fantasitc. i did Spark. Vol.1 collection cost absolutely nothing becuase it was collections and running here to there to find things. Vol. 2 was okay 10 of eahc blade 10 of each handle, 250 Mithril daggers, 20 Deld.ingots 10 leather, ( allaround about 2500 mithril ore. And thats pretty much it. Vo. 3 was just a collections again running around mixing parts together. So only 1/3 of the adventure required some gold .

I guess because I play the game and keep what I craft instead of selling it on the tp everyday (such as 90% of those complaining) it was super easy and fun. Started by 2nd now for some profit but its bugged so that sucks. First people where complaining “I’ve thrown over thousands of gold into the forge and not gotten a pre” and now its " The guaranteed way to get the pre costs too much compared to the OTHER guaranteed way." The expansion released and the market is going to be fluctuating for while on alot of stuff. You aren’t the only people trying to make these things so guess what, people are buying making prices go up and people are selling at higher prices because they know people wil buy them. If the cost of crafting is that bad for you then don’t buy the materials FARM THEM. Boo-hoo you can’t have your percursor within 1 week since release; some privilege you got there.

Your arguments hold no water. Just because you can farm the materials doesn’t mean they’re free. In fact, as prices of the materials increase it becomes all the more interesting to just sell them and buy the precursor outright from the TP.

People seem to forget that getting the precursor is just a single step in the hideously long journey of a legendary. Apparently, making a precursor by itself should already take you half a year. This is not what we wanted.

What arguments? Everything I’ve said is a fact. This is about how we are enjoying the Precursor crafting. Incinerator will be my 12th Legendary. What you are also saying is the Pre’s currently on the TP are too cheap and need to have their prices jacked up to meet the crafting cost price.

The bugs make it incredibly frustrating. Also having to stand around waiting for hours for a single event to happen because, as the same problem with Temples in Orr, people are completing defense events or because the spawn is random (Skritt King). So far almost 2 hours waiting for Nightmare Court to spawn and attack the King which could simply be avoided by, once again, just letting the defense fail but no one will elt it fail.

I get too distracted by GW 2 to continuously play GW1. When i log in it just seems old and boring but if you’ve never played you might find yourself getting more into it. If you really want the 500 points I say go for it. One of my favorite staff skins is achieved through HoM and it is IMO probably the best staff in GW2.

Gnarled Walking Staff
A short mention … the EULA, agreements, and Rules of Conduct say nothing about cross game TRADING of ITEMS. There is no threat to you or your account in doing so. If you don’t believe this read through it all yourself. Its at the bottom of the page. So if you had someone you could trust that played GW1, well, you get the idea.

Deny Full Guild Premade from Unranked

I didn’t play with Team and Solo but that sounds like it should be an option for both Unranked and Ranked. I’m not a new player and if the matchmaking is putting me into games like these than the system must think I’m better than I think I am. Also, even if teams aren’t all repping the same guild, you can only be in 5 at once so it wouldn’t be hard for an automated process to detect who was connected someway with who.
I like Arcadio post as that seems a logical system to use.

Thing is not every guild team you see is necessarily a premade lol, sometimes guild ise just like playing together. In the guild I’m in a lot of us enjoy pvp but we never really have a plan when we team up lol, we just rush in and enjoy the fun that ensues. Sometimes if we get bored we might even do little themes like all assurance or ranger lol, just fun. Besides even if you stopped guildies from grouping what would stop people from just representing another guild for the match then switching back after?

^^^ +1
This is unranked after all. Win or lose who cares, just have fun.

Exactly, it should be fun whether win or lose, but it’s not when you against a 5 man guild team and the fight is 15-500. Zero fun there.
If you’re a full guild team, sorry but that is a pre-made whether or not you “have a plan”.

Deny Full Guild Premade from Unranked

I’ve recently gotten into PvP quite a bit and have been enjoying it a lot. I play Unranked because I figure since I am not a hardcore pvp’er it’s more appropriate. Having teams built through random selection going against each other in some fun “head-to-head” versus because I know I’ll encounter others at my current skill level. At least that’s what I thought it was.

Don’t bust my kiTTeNs just yet though. Playing with one or two friends I can understand and think that is fine. But going up against a full guild pre-made team is not fun at all. It’s actually makes the PvP in this game feel like complete “stuff that comes out your bottom.” Especially when you team is full randoms. This makes it so there is ZERO room for casual PvP’ers.

What I don’t under stand is why it’s set up to allow full guild pre-made teams into unranked PvP. There’s no enjoyable experience in that selection any it makes the battle completely one sided. This needs to be kept in Custom Arena and Ranked PvP if they hope to maintain an enjoyable gaming experience. Take a cue from GW1 where syncing in PvP could actually get you banned. So say your “salty” and "QQ"’s but its the truth and I’m sure plenty of people know what I’m talking about but won’t say anything.

Dungeon Track Permanent Unlocks

Dungeon tracks are on a two week rotating cycle. Players can complete the story mode of the associated dungeon to unlock its reward track permanently.

So completing a Story mode dungeon should make it permanently available? I completed CM story mode and the track is still unavailable. Do I misunderstand this statement?

My AC track is permanent as well as my Arah and I haven’t completed any of those story in a couple years. help me understand please.

These have been in the game for far too long for Skill 3 to still be over shooting you from target location and Skill 1 Jump doesn’t jump you half the time. I’m pretty sure development is far enough along that these can be fixed. It’s about that time.
