Remove Skyhammer from rated arena

Just tossing the topic in advance cause if you don’t remove it from the rated arena queue (post 2 dec), this patch will not be an improvement to spvp but it will totally ruin it. Cause all you need to ruin the experience of many players is 1 premade group of trolls that pick skyhammer as favorite map. They’d force a 50% chance for skyhammer to spawn by themselves. And players who now use tpvp to avoid skyhammer won’t be able to avoid that map anymore.

And don’t underestimate the number of players belong to that field.

normal builds got better CC and/or mobility though. However the glitch is too rare to be truely game breaking. I’ve played 25 LI games this season already and i’ve had 1 game where a thief was glitched.

Guess the problem was they didn’t want people to see it shift for a couple gems when they were trying to pinpoint to a certain amount if prices changed. However the current setup is kinda botched imo.

A better solution would be to have someone type in the amount of gems they wanna but with gold instead of typing in the amount of gold they wanna convert in to gems.

Aka, old system, instead you type the amount of currency you want to convert TO, instead of the currency you were convering from.

Don’t need to use the lfg tool… All you need to do is grow some balls and tag up if you got 1. It’s not hard to run around from door to door and since it’s a pve zone, the normal pve mindset happens, people will flock to where they see a tag.

Tried it earlier today, tagged up when there were 4 guys fighting the horror. By the time we killed it i had 10 randoms join up, and before i even got to a door i already had 15 with me. And i easily kept a train running for hours until i had to log off.

So don’t depend on a taxi and make your own map shine.

Few things to balance Lunatic Inquisition

Just my 2 cents on some changes to make the inquisition game more fair an fun to play both ends. Nowadays it’s so imbalanced it’s just more fun to go suicide and become a ghost.

1) Get rid of the mad king says abilities but in return give ghosts the same speed as villagers and take away the swiftness buff on ghosts.

2) Reintroduce the root on panic, unless you guys truely can’t fix the bug that made the root last indefinatebly

3) The last step in the rifle miniquest, change it so you can get the rifle from ANY of the 4 corner gather npcs instead of the mad king, ALL ghosts spawn at him, so it’s practically impossible to even get a good use of it, as you’ll be swarmed as soon as you get it.

4) Rifle shots should have a cooldown and don’t depend on gather tables to refresh, nowadays not enough peeps bother gathering. A cooldown of say 30 seconds would be fine my guess, you’ll still be trying to use tactically, as in using a bone to stun and then shoot the ghost to finish it off.

5) Courtiers that die, stay down for 20 seconds (as per timer in normal pvp maps) and respawn at the mad king, not where they die.

These changes would give villagers a better chance on defending themselves, especially if a few bother getting the rifle. Courtiers will still be the stronger ones but a villager will have a fighting chance, which will make playing villager actually fun again, and not a thing of going to hide and hope that all courtiers are idiots that don’t check the usual hiding spots.

Euro final wasn’t that bad. Shame NA final was pathetic, even didn’t bother watching game 3. Too imbalanced to be enjoyable.

Upcoming Skyhammer Changes

I haven’t bothered with skyhammer yet, but skillfull knockbacks, ok i can partially accept that, but like many have mentioned, the biggest problem are all the pulls which are in NO way skillful, all people do is stealth when glass is about to disappear and pull you when they’re standing on the edge.

However in my opinion the simplest fix for that issue, is make people FLY to where the enemy is standing. Eg if someone is on the edge of a “hole” and pulls you, you FLY over the hole and land DIRECTLY ON TOP of the enemy, so also on the edge and not 100 range in front of him which is where the hole is.

That way you can leave the glass platforms in the game and people need to knockback people in them if they wanna be a KB/pull cheeser. Because knockbacks aren’t always 100% accurate while pulls give you a 100% accuracy.

Seriously a delete history is option is pointless… Because doing it for spvp is idiotic as it is more luck than skill, and you won’t get high in tpvp unless you’re in a fixed team.

Why can’t you get high ranking in solo queue nowadays:

  • Skyhammer is based around cheesy builds for knockbacks and pulls instead of actually using the whole package of your character.
  • Too many afkers & leavers, creating a lot of 4v5.
  • Too many morons who don’t know what spvp is actually about, causing you to lose the ppt anyway

If you’re lucky to avoid first 3 parts you might find yourself 95%+, or else you’ll be stuck in % limbo forever, because 1 good player can’t carry 2 scrubs.

For team queue:

  • Once you bump into 94% you’re bound to bump into premade teams constantly. So unless you create your own team with capable players who can play regularly in the same times as you do, you might stand a chance of popping in top 1000.

what a bunch of sourpusses… They gave the advert ONCE! It’s actually thoughtful of them to make an advert like that for people who missed stuff last time and might be interested but don’t check the gem store on daily basis.
NOONE forces you to buy stuff just cause they make an advert. Do you all react like this if you get commercials during a TV show or movie as well? The only difference here is they’re adverting for themselves in their game.
I was actually PvPing when it was advertised, i didn’t die because my screen had some yellow on it. So why the hell would it be “blocking” your view.

@Nerelith: It’s not ANET’s fault the gold production is low. In that game you mentioned where you got 600g at lv20, it’ll also mean that even the most basic items are insanely expensive for max level chars, because money is easy to get by. It might not be hard to hard big numbers in the game, but in EVERY game your relational income will ALWAYS be low as the higher levels will always be making more. If you wanna ensure that the game’s gold production is healthy, you need to find ways to avoid monetization of the rich, as giving more gold is easy, but all you do is inflate prices that way as more and more gold is bound to get into a game as people keep farming, but relational income will always be shrinking for casual players.

The fact anet keeps the gold requirement of this game low by providing gem→gold for ppl who truely need it is actually good, as the rich who gots load to spare will be gold→gemming to keep the inflation low. Imagine if these conversions didn’t exist. Then anet would be selling quasi nothing in their gem store and the market would have precursors of 2500 gold+, instead of 1000 gold+ as the massive farmers or TP players wouldn’t have gem store stuff to waste gold on, and they’d be buying precursors of themselves to keep the market rolling and screwing the casuals even more.

Unlimited Gathering Tools - Worth it?

No, simply no… You save less than a bag of items with em. What you need of gathering items:

Ori sickle/axe/pick in character window
Ori sickle/axe/pick in a bag (or 2 of each if you wanna be safe)
10-12 crude salvaging kits, 1 mystic kit.

This gives you:
100-150 plant gathering usages
200-300 wood/ore gathering usages
150-180 salvage usages for green-
250 salvage usages for yellow+

You can buy ori gathering tools in heart of the mists, any wvw zone near start point, every city and vigil’s camp, every craft trainer, orr & FS. So plenty of places to quickly restock if you depleted your stock. salvage kits are soo easy to find it’s a joke.

So seriously, why waste 100s of gold for convenience items that can remain on 1 char at a time UNLESS you go VISIT A BANK to pick it up on another char, which conveniently are in the same area as the merchants i mentioned above!

Don’t listen to most of the guys here…
Unlimited gathering tools are a complete waste of gems! You can easily survive holding 2 sickles, axes, picks in an invisible bag along with food, extra weaponry. Add another bag which you can fill with 8-10 crude kits and you’ll never run out of gathering materials, as it’ll take hours of farming to deplete all crude kits, and the unlimited salvager people suggest requires 1 copper a salvage, which means crudes only take twice the coin, consider you need 80 gold just to get the gems of the unlimited kit, means you need to salvage 800000 items for a break even point. You’ll never salvage that many items.

Bag slots are also a waste, getting 15 slot bags isn’t that expensive if you got a leatherworker (or a friend with it) as leather cheap is as hell. 4 15 slot bags plus starter bag is all you need to survive, especially if you hold 10 crude kits to empty your bags of greens and blues. Yellows and exotics can be sold or salvaged with mystic kits. Don’t buy the stones to make these kits, you’ll be getting stones every 500 AP (which comes rapidly early on).

For example my bags are based like this on all my chars:
3 15 slot bags, 1 invisible 15 slot bag.
In the invisible bag i spend 2 slots for crude kits, 6 for 2 sickle/axe/pick, 2-3 for backup weaponry, 1 for maintenance boost, 1 for food, 1 for a minipet, 1 for mystic salvage kit.
The last standard 15 slot bag contains 8 extra crude kits. Which leaves you 20+15+15+7 (57) slots for other things. Can’t believe you’ll be in trouble for bag space using this as you hold 150 salvage uses for greens/blues/whites and 250 for rare/exotic. All the use trash stacks in piles.

So what should you spend gems on:

1 bank expansion slot, even if you don’t gather stuff you’ll find the start space too cramped. if you’re a hamster 1 ain’t enough.

3 character slots, unless you don’t like altaholicism, although this game doesn’t penalize alts, as nearly everything is account bound.

Those 2 are the only true “necessaries”. After that the only valuable thing are skins for armor or outfits for armor/costume brawl.

Crystals are turned into charges 1 on 1, stones are turned into charges 3 to 1, which means:

Crystals in the gem store turn into charges.
Map completion currently gives the odd chance of getting 3 stones, which means post patch it’ll be the possibility for 1 charge upon completion.
The only exception i wonder how they’ll do it is the stone that sometimes appears upon daily completion, you can’t possibly give .33 charge. Probably the drop rate of that will be lowered to 33% and it’ll be a whole charge.

Not everyone made LA their home, i avoided it like a pest, but then again in real life i dislike too crowded cities as well :p
Doesn’t change the fact how nicely anet put the destruction of it, and the destruction of the breachmaker as well. Although i’d have left bigger chunks of the thing near the point it was drilling the past weeks (for irony it’d been nice if there was a diving point from the tilted breachmaker).

If you want the unbreakable choir bell and you’re musically inclined… Just spam the bell choir game. The unbreakable bell can “drop” as reward after you finish the last song (instead of 3 presents). And you don’t even need max points for it. I had it drop in my like 9th game when i was farming the AP of the repeater.

Not gonna say it’s a high chance, but most likely higher than presents.

Plus after the first 30 days when everyone has their armor the demand will fall pretty fast and prices will drop further.

What “everyone”? You are aware, that even now, number of people still crafting ascended weapons is likely still greater than those that are done with it? I’m pretty sure than a month from now number of people that are done with armor will still be only a small minority. And that’s even when we ignore people that are not interested in ascended at all, and count only those actually crafting.

The people who haven’t crafted an ascended weapon at this point most likely won’t craft one EVER. Reason is quite simple, the cost of it isn’t worth the added value the weapon gives. Why bother to pay over 150g for a weapon that adds like 5-7% effectiveness? If you say high level fractals, i’d just answer back with : they already got theirs, whether they crafted it or got it as loot from their fractals.

Many people are gonna be skipping ascended armor as well, for the same reasons, there’s no point wasting so much coin on a tiny advantage. Most players don’t waste countless hours into this game to handle such a massive grind.

Hate to burst the bubble of all the kittens who are telling others to skip the blues. Everything you say about the presents is complete kitten. Skipping the blues doesn’t avoid the exploding of presents. Skipping the blues doesn’t give you a handful of extra seconds.

The amount of people on presents at a time and the duration the blues are active affect the explode speed of presents. IF 4 succesfully leap the blues, ALL presents will be exploding before all 4 even get close to the top. Same as 1 jumping on the blues long after they spawned, they’ll explode faster because they been around a while, but not as quick as 3+ sitting on presents.

If you want to get past em with a decent success rate, figure out a path you can hop very rapidly and wait for all the others to do their attempts. Hence, wait a week or 2 before attempting the repeater. (BTW some fool on the forum mentioned the repeat to +15 seeing only +1. No you don’t need to do the puzzle 300 times, 60 times is the cap).

Also don’t come here saying i know didly squat about the presents i’ve completed this puzzle 42 times in 2 hours. I’m just gonna wait a week or 2 to complete the last batch, hoping there will be less peeps breaking my presents then.

For those complaining about the cutscenes… Learn to read achivs before jumping into the dungeon instead of after. i completed both the puzzles as the fights by doing the dungeon just twice. For the watchwork knight the fight answer is easy… Just think about queen’s jubilee problem solved!

chaotic, the present have changed… Last year they exploded according to certain pattern and rhythm. So once you figured a safe path you could easily rinse repeat.
This year however they’re totally random, and as someone said, if multiple peeps jump on them they rapidly explode, with enough people on them even instantly. So they’re just a massive aggro point. I can faceroll the rest of the puzzle easily, but the presents are a hit and miss depending on how many kittenbags jump on them at the same time i do.

dislike others in your face, take another path, simple as that, and unlike clocktower, you don’t all have to start at the same time. clocktower had the green cloud catching up to you to ensure everyone had to rush. From the stream you can see the JP works like the snowblind fractal. Stay at the fire as long as you desire, but once you leave the fire you’ll get a frostbite dot, until you reach the next fire which should be at the lollipops, unless you did a wrong turn or fell down. Which means others don’t HAVE to be ghost wisps this time, since for all you care, you wait 20 seconds and leave the fire then.

Don’t really expect them to change much of the JP. At most turn it into a PvP zone. But ghost wisps, nah. That’s why winter wonderland has 4 starting points. And at average when 12-16 peeps were allowed in the zone only like 4 reached the lollipops (point where the 4 roads converge).

I did read all the posts. Does this make you silver material? NO. Does this make you less valuable than place 5 you originally were? YES.

Also you seem to be more blind than me when it comes to reading posts. Considering the fact 1 of those matchups contains a server you EASILY beat twice during this season so far (AM). But you neglected to notice that and still use your “a few guilds left” excuse to explain your ABSOLUTELY bismal scores for a whole month. It’s not about ending 3rd. It’s also by how little points you scored in total in all those 4 weeks.

In my eyes AR and in lesser extent kodash are more silver material than you guys, but your pathetic tanking knocked them into golden league. And my guess, AR is now dead because everyone got tired of getting outblobbed by the real top 5.

Not the most avid poster here, but the denial of deso is getting pathetic… You guys come here crying that you got steamrolled by golden league servers before the season. I come here to say to stop the BS!

Zerker build?

wow, to promote something against zerker builds you bring up the one that thing that forced non pve’ers to actually GET zerker gear. Gambits of QG were just a thing that forced bursting mobs down because you couldn’t kill anything otherwise.

Best option would be to make the variance of damage bigger, atm in pve high armor vs low armor doesn’t matter, because mobs hit hard and slow, dodge enough and you’ll survive, don’t dodge and the high armor still won’t help you survive. Easiest solution is make hits smaller by nature and more frequent and say if someone has 1500 armor he’ll take 3-4 times the damage compared to someone who has 3000 armor.

Why did the tab of the account medals change when the new tab was made?
It used to say your achievement point status where it says “account medals” now.

Please revert the text back to achievements with the score you have, like it says now in the upcoming rewards/living world tab. It’s pretty obvious that those medals are account medals without even saying so.

Keep dreaming if you think the 3 new fractals will make peeps interested more into fractals than before… I got no high fractal lv characters because i don’t truely enjoy dungeons. And the 3 new ones won’t change that. I’ll probably aim to do them once just to see em. And that’s it. And wanna bet there are countless more like me.

People who don’t have a high level in fractals, don’t have it because they hate the repetitiveness of fractals. Higher levels only add agony and more health/damage on bosses and more champs in trash packs. For the rest it’s just more of the same.

I don’t see a challenge in the same dull fractals only slower cause you need to plow through more health and with higher toughness (thus less damaging) gear.

DPS race bosses are a bad idea for a simple reason. Not everyone enjoys running around with multiple equipment sets in their bags. A DPS race boss would require zerker, while WvW requires toughness more. Hence you’d need to carry 2 complete sets, which is easily 14 slots waste on armor, weaponry and trinkets.

Also not everyone enjoys the spam 1 crap (or high dps abilities) that zerker builds are. Because it’s drop the thing faster than it drops you. And if you wanna know why it’s bad. Just look at how badly the queen’s gauntlet was accepted. Gambit fights, liadri 8 orb were both zerker dps races and a lot of people skipped it because they couldn’t afford ascended zerker gear just for a tiny bit of content.

My 2 cents about the season (achi and match)

First of all i’ll point out i’ll be placing my comments in a background from Gandara (11-12th server, thus silver’s silver or bronze server) as a casual WvWer (i pretty much solely WvW during weekends)

First of all the achivs:
1) Ruins and Merc camps are too grindy, they force people to do something else than the main focus of the WvW. People break off and camp these things just to get the achiv. For ruins it’s neglectable since the camps flip regularly. But for merc camps it’s a massive problem cause there’s a 5-10 minute timer for a broken camp to become active again, heavy achi campers actually spend minutes camping these thing and thus adding NOTHING to the important fight that ebg is. Another solution would be making the reset of a merc camp instant, that way it can be farmed more decently and closer to the stage of ruins. But even then the 30 marker as top level would be more acceptable.

2) dollies and sentries are too high for casuals to complete and hardcores specially break off the zerg to farm these things. Since they’re kinda effective towards WvW dynamics i don’t place em amongst ruins/mercs. But 225 for both is too high. We’re halfway the season now and i as a weekender have only 50 dollies and 75 sentries. The 150 marker as highest tier for this achiv would have been much much better.

3) No defensive achivs? Seriously, all you did was enforce massive flipping during the first 2 weeks, since defending stuff apperantly doesn’t matter. You could easily boost up the meta to 20 achivs and add defense of castle , defense of keeps, defense of towers (wouldn’t go for defending camps/dollies as it’s hard to defend against zergs as a small group). Also adding supply used to create siege. (atm 16 are possibly maxed out as a casual without derailing from main purpose).

4) Demolition man: this achiv needs to be reviewed. Currently it’s forcing peeps to either spec ram master tier 3, or face massive loads of grief by the rest of your server. As the level of damage required is impossible to get unless you have a rammer in your group. The value should be given out by following markers, over 70000 group damage (i think this is the current marker) or over 20 personal hits on a gate (which is about the ammount of hits a meleer does on a paper gate before it drops if a zerg of 40 men attack it – single out multiple attacks like ele’s dagger fire 1).

Now to matchups… I’m assuming the goal is to give a decent view of the ranking of servers at the end of the league, however… I’ll toss out hypothetical numbers now. Shift server strenght alike how you feel like it.

But taking silver as example with following “ranking”

This count is made by using the scoring system based on the ranking before league using the matchup setup posted by anet.
Due to gandara facing deso and AM thrice, AG and FS twice and all the rest once, AG is possibly end ahead of gandara, even though they’re weaker, the same happens with MS and FR. Thus due to the in my eyes wrongful last week, you’re giving the 4th and 7th a chance to skip ahead a position. Technically it won’t matter that much as winning the league is the only true real important position but it will give a faulty end score over the 9 worlds for every league (except american gold since it has a different setup).

Orion is correct, you will need to have done enough damage to the gate to get credit for the achievement.

The treshhold is too high for people who don’t get into groups… You literally need to get into a group with a dedicated rammer/catapultist or you’ll never get credit for this…

And if you wanna try ramming for it solo, you need to hope the ram you place gets built first, cause 6 ram hits on a paper door isn’t enough to get the reward (for those who never rammed, that’s 48k damage, so no way you can non-siege dps that high).

So, let me get this straight… You want anet (americans) to SACRIFICE their own labour day to update the game with the SAB release just so other americans can play SAB on their own labour day DAY OFF.

Talk about hypocracy! It’s a day off for them as well, so why should they change their planning to release an update during their own day off. Activating a release isn’t done by a background job.

oh please the difference between what you claim real legendary and “easy mode” is that the real legendary came from farming CoF1 day in day out. All it proves is you wasted more time. Also who says the crafting is easy mode? For the same money you still need to gather 100 lodestones of 2 types 100-250 orichalcum ingots/ancient wood logs and a berserker exotic of the weapontype to make a precursor. Do the math on all that and you still come to the area of 250-500g for a precursor.

Ascended rings didn’t make exotic rings useless….and ascended weapons won’t make exotic weapons useless. The stat difference is pretty negligible.

An exotic knight’s amulet gives 273 stats total

An ascended knight’s amulet gives 296 stats.

That is almost 8% higher. Do that across all of you gear and it will add up. That doesn’t consider what new infusions will do to weapons, which we don’t know yet.

Currently, the +23 stats is insignificant when compared with the sum of all the stats on your full set of gear. That’s why Ascended hasn’t made too much impact at the moment. However, fully Ascended set (armor, trinkets, weapons) will likely be around 8% better than a fully Exotic set. That’s pretty significant, particularly in WvW.

And don’t forget PvE mobs will be made harder to compensate, so: treadmill.

We have exotics from day 1. Have ANet made content based on exotic stats? No. You’re wrong.

Have anet made content based on exotics…
Fractals like to say hi to you.
Farm runs in dungeons would like to say hi to you (although this is more community based rather than anet)
Queen’s gauntlet would like to say hi to you (ASCENDED REQUIRED if you wanna do the harder achivs like the gambit achivs)

So have they made content? yes. Was it mandatory? no.

I don’t know what you all are whining about… Again… If this makes more people playing… Then it’s fine. Who cares… Currently I don’t have any way to father progress my character! I can only create new one… And that’s not what want.

And I don’t care about being slightly less powerful in WvW. Why? Because I’m dying not because that other guy have 5% higher stats (I’m killing 80’s all the time with my lvl 35 ranger). It’s because they have four times more people.

PS. AN knows what their doing. Don’t worry…

Sorry, but i’ll say anet knows what they’re doing if crafting 400-500 goes super fast and you don’t RUIN your gold collection just by levelling to 500. I don’t mind a cooldown ingredient being added to the crafted weapons. I however will mind if it’s another stupid grind like ascendeds through fractals. I refused to grind the ascended trinkets because i left WoW for exactly the same grind reason. I hoped anet stuck to their original principle and make gw2 not a grindfest, where you can do whatever you wanted when you want to without feeling you’re falling behind on the farm addicts.

At this point it’s kinda kept to that point as ascended trinkets were added available through other paths than grinding dungeons. But if ascended weaponry turns out EXTREMELY expensive like legendaries are now, then anet broke their promise and GW2 has turned into another WoW and i’ll gladly stop bothering and start playing PS3/PS4 games until camelot unchained goes into alpha testing…

Sorry but ascended weaponry will be a requirement if you don’t wanna lag behind others in WvW… It’s already bad enough you can feel slightly hampered being in exotic trinkets if your enemy has ascendeds… Imagine if the gap is enlarged by weapons as well which are the biggest chunk of effectiveness when it comes to gear.

My guess is they’ll just change the MF stat with something else. Would cause too much aggro if they made the items disappear. If i were anet, i’d look at the class of the peep and just make the item berserker or rampager and return it to Bound on equip so people can sell it as most have MF as a backup set right next to their berserker/rampager/cleric/knight’s set.

As to the 20% MF infusion, it’ll probably be reverted to the other option which is 20% extra gold.

World 3 as the update for the 17th?

Well I’d buy SAB as a stand-alone game but we can’t ask too much now can we? There’s loads of players that don’t like it

EVERYONE i know loves SAB

However, around 85% of the gw2 population HATED Liadri and HATED gambits because they were so hard and stupid and poorly designed

Not so sure how much i’ll enjoy SAB this time round… In april i massively farmed it for obsidian shards and philosopher stones for my mystic clovers. However i completed this. I just hope they place ectoplasm globs amongst things you can buy with bubbles, since levelling to 500 crafting will require a crapload of ectos.

As to hating liadri and gambits. I enjoyed liadri even though it took like 70 attempts due to lag and bad vision. Gambits on the other hand was quite crap. But if you don’t like it, don’t play it, hence i just skipped 5 achivs of the gauntlet cause i don’t feel like irritating me more than i needed to. Most gambit achivs and the others i skipped depended more about being geared to the max (read ALL ascendant trinkets) rather than skill, because with purely exotic items you wouldn’t have the burst of damage you needed to achieve the 5 gambit thing or to even gambit farm deadeye/subject 7.

There’s no denying it’s causing inflation. But it won’t be as extreme as people are making it sound it’s gonna be.

T6 items are dropping quite easily if you’re doing invasions, if you salvage (mystic boxes from achiv chests) the rares you get, you create a lot of ectos as well. The only things not overly created by the invasions are lodestones, but in return you are getting a lot of cores and skill points, so you can still toilet plenty of lodestones if necessary.

Overviewing the market, T5 is still cheapo, T4- is stable, T6 is stable, lodestones SLIGHTLY rising, ectos also slightly rising. Things might change once Anet brings in the scavanger hunt and people don’t need to farm farm farm gold for the ridiculously prices precursors anymore. If they don’t have to waste gold there they’ll have the coin to buy T6 items at higher prices.

Also the guys claiming they struggle to get 30 boxes… An average box count:
1-5 from champ twisteds
4-7 from map reward (most zones kill scarlets, others get to wave 3)
5-7 from molten shamans
3-5 from pirate captains
15-25 from pirate champs (if you know how to tag, you’ll get 6-8 of these for every captain if you go to places where there are more than 15 peeps fighting)

8, 1 of every class at lv80… And that’s all i need/want up to the point they release new classes. All my light armor characters are in the priory, all my medium armor are in whispers (because i just love medium armor of the order) and my 2 heavies are vigil.

Charr guardian, arusan ranger, sylvari mesmer, human necro and thief, norn ele and engineer and warrior.

The super jump in the end probably is intentional, plus it doesn’t affect score since you’re not bypassing checkpoints. In my eyes skipping checkpoints is cheating, the easiest solution however would be to activate the final finish line only if all other 10 checkpoints have been activated by the player, if not the race doesn’t end and he’ll just have to backtrack, that way all those skippers won’t be able to cheat their way to the victory reward.
