Whats your favorite class?

@OP I started with Guardian (hence my name) and wanted the same things you did. I also felt a little let down by Guard and went on an Alt binge/identity crisis. Ended up getting frustrated and giving the game a break. I came back a few months ago, played everything all over again and found myself stuck on Mesmer.

I play a phantasm mesmer in PvE and WvW. Its EXACTLY what I want. I can range or melee if I want to. I can reflect damage easily and have great utility. My DPS is better these days, but I think all the practice helped. I roll Sword/Focus Scepter/Sword for right now and swap around as I need to.

The trick for me to having a blast with this character, beyond game mechanics, is the fact I make clones of myself, so detailing my character became much more important.

1. Pick your race based on what you want to see in your clones/phants. Do you want to see a bunch of rabid asurans beating the kitten out of something or a pack of gentlemanly char? I personally ran with Norn because I like the voice and manly demeanor.

2. Pick a spec that works really well for what you want to do. I personally roll 10/20/0/25/15 (I think.. will have to check). Knights/Zerk w/ MoR, Feedback, Decoy, Phant Defender and Moa morph (mob about to unleash hell? Think again, mutha-clucka!) Centaur runes give me constant swiftness uptime (while sharing that swiftness with everyone around me) and condi removal with MoR. I’m no min/maxer, but I have a kitten ton of fun and look for ways to improve my game without scrapping every last little bit of DPS from the bottom of my jar.

3. Pick your style based on a theme. That theme may be defined by a legendary you want to work towards. Note: if you prefer, you can make your Mesmer look like just about any other class out there. There are leathery and shiny metalic choices for different pieces and the best combos are the ones NOT from the same set. Head to the PVP lobby (HotM) and find the wardrobe if you want to find your perfect look.

4. Keep learning. The worst thing I did before I left last time was thinking I knew everything about the class and closed off what it could be for me. I probably heard someone say “Oh, X class is so kitten it can’t even pull Y dps!” and I let what they said devalue whatever I wanted to play. Some classes do have aspects I wish worked better, but instead of trying to make the class do what everyone considered the best, I chose the class that best suited what I wanted it to do and made it mine. I may swap to something else later down the road if there’s a change or bug thats glaring to me, but for now, I’m quite satisfied with my little mesmer.

Most of all, have fun! Relax. Take things easy and wade into the content. If there’s something you want in the LS, hit those before they leave. Otherwise, its all good.

ps. - check out some of the “fashion” forums like Lyssa’s mirror on GW2 guru for some ideas for inspiration on “interesting” themes. I, myself, happen to be a discening gentleman who enjoys long walks in the forest, meeting people on weekend getaways and killing absolutely every last one of them.

Happy Friday the 13th!

because people are just entitled gamers these days.

People feel entitled to a good product in exchange for their money? Shame on them.

I used to cobble hard-drives out of spare copper wire and piano string to get my copy of Doom running on MS-DOS, and that’s how things should still be today.

Gah! So entitled!

You have the attitude that you are entitled to everything the game has to offer without actually putting in any effort to get it.

Exactly! Games should be a tedious and boring grindfest. People should never expect anything else from an MMO.

You don’t play an MMO if you’re not prepared to do lots of tedious boring grind to get to the fun parts. In fact they should just replace the fun parts with more grind so we can separate elites from scrubs.

I remember the old days of DOS. Boot disks and duct tape. Still play Masters of Orion/Magic and a few other “classics”. DOSbox ftw

Azure has it right, but the word “entitled” carries too negative a connotation. I would probably say that those who haven’t traveled down the long dark road of MMOs or gaming in general take for granted much of what made games fun originally for so many, so they don’t see why things are designed the way they are. ANET has made a gem of a game that combines some of the best aspects of MMO gaming and tries to push the envelope at what should be expected of MMO gaming in the future. They have stumbled along the way here and there, but every game developer does. Overall, I think they’d done a great job and being a MMO vet makes me appreciate all the more the things they got right.

As for the OP, it sounds like burnout. You get this way when you have really tested the boundaries of “too much of a good thing” and you need to back off from it for a little while. Its like eating Pizza every day. It could very well be your favorite food and you may do different toppings with every meal, but eventually… you feel the need for more. There’s nothing wrong with the pizza, but give it a break for a bit and try it again later.

See, one of the beauties of GW2 is how casually you can play it. Take a month off. Go play some console games or check out some older PC games that you might have put off as they were ridiculously expensive when they came out. Steam sale would be an incredible idea for this. GW2 updates every two weeks, so if you wanted to, you could log in for achieves on patch day or just let em pass by. There’s no meta achieve for doing all the holiday achieves (thank goodness for that), so unless there’s a reward worth having, eh… its all good. Check back on Dulfy’s page from time to time to see whats added.

The takeaway here is: blaming the game is a shortsighted judgement when you just need a break. The game was designed to where you can easily take breaks and check back in for patch content as you like. Take advantage of the season for some great gaming deals and come back when you’re ready.

Whats next Mesmer QQ?

Not QQ but I suggest you try one. I have at least 1 of each profession. I’m not a great gamer by any means but I love my Mesmer. It’s the most fun I have had from any of the professions. I was into Guardian but I find it a snooze fest now.

Mes became my main a couple months ago and has become pretty cemented as the one class I wish I was playing when I try anything else :P. Granted, I play PvE, so it depends on your focus and playstyle. As always, play what you love really well and folks will think you’re OP.

Witch Race For Necro?

Made a Char Necro. CoF armor gives them flaming tails :P That… and his voice… “Oops, there goes another one…”

Honestly, I’ve tried other races, but I honestly found myself REALLY liking my char. Oh, and make him the smallest size if you want your footfalls to be faster. Its the only way I can roll a Norn or Char these days. Its a personal preference, but I feel SO much faster, even if I’m not :P

Necros have much darker character dialogue in combat, if that helps you narrow it down. Play one of each race to level 5 to hear what they say when their pet dies or one of the other “reactionary” class specific lines.

Besides that, its a matter of aesthetics… go for the cold and calculating asuran, the wilted salad or the savage beast. As for mine… I went BEAST.

Advice on which class to level next?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Guardian.5142

Guardian.5142

Warrior is hard to lose with, except you stated something about “boring”. I don’t specifically think its boring, but it does get pretty repetitive if you just follow the handful of preferred specs. It seemed pretty easy to me to level and get into things. Leveled mostly with Longbow for the neat combo field and because GS was too mainstream (I’m not a hipster, but my warrior totally is)

Norn Engineer was LOTS of fun, but nade targeting got old. Leveled with bombs to get 80, which got a nice boost a while back.. Really honestly wanted nades to be my bread and butter (and underwater its fully targeted and OP) I still FT/EG for above the water AoE fun, but I’m not looking to break any dps records and mostly use him for trains… He knows how to cook some bacon.

Char Necro, I leveled as a wellmancer and it probably was the fastest character I made to 80. Agro lots of stuff, spawn your wells/marks, loot and continue. I repeatedly tested my boundaries as to how much I could AoE successfully and ended up “surfing” the edge between up and downed states. To be honest, although I hit 80, I haven’t really played him much at max level. I planned to go full condi with him (which shines at 80), but decided I wanted a better all arounder and invested my money into my mes

Guardian was my first love. Asuran. Tiny, but brick-kittenhouse effective. I rolled this class because my friends told me I’d be wanted in groups and there were supposed to be really powerful. Rolled the original AH build until that got nerfed. I suppose they are still powerful, but aside from slinging around on my GS, I never really got good at playing it and wanted something with more range options.

Ele – played to 30… never found a race/gender/theme combo that I wanted to play with it, but to be honest, I only tried rolled asura and syvari… couldn’t get used to the techno-babble in regards to magic and… /sigh… tree children. Might roll another one at some point, but with both a mes and a necro already maxed, I don’t have much need for another clothie.

Thief – played to 30. I inevitably hit a wall with the energy system and picking one or two things to spam. That, and I really want my Thief to use BOTH weapons to auto attack. It urks me to see a perfectly good pistol or sword offhand just hang there… on another class, sure, but a thief should be one impressive dual wielder with their auto attack. I’m just sayin.

Ranger – played to 20. after next week… maybe I’ll pick it back up. Depends on how much of a boost they get. Part of the reason I went Warrior LB was to have “hunter ranged weapons” + good damage, survivability and no pets needed for max dps. This was one of the classes I most wanted to like, but just couldn’t get into before. It might be worth a second look.

Create a Legendary Wep - Player themed

Forum game: Create a Legendary weapon that fits the current “look” or theme of your favorite characters.

Copy and paste the below as the basic form: Doesn’t have to be realistic, can be a complete joke weapon, just needs to fit your character’s theme (not necessarily your class’ theme, if you’re like me and roll that way). If you post picture references, try to credit where you got em. Maybe we’ll give the ol’ Anet boys and girls a few ideas for when the new legendaries finally get released. Most of all, have fun with it Make it yours. And try not to kitten off anyone who is better at insulting than you are. (keep criticism creative :P)

Class : Name

Legendary name –
Basic description –
Character aura –
Footfall effects –
Effect on equip –
Unique Sound/look
Other Info:

Class : Name
Mesmer: Doomsday Prophet

Legendary name – Inevitability – Staff weapon
Basic description – Over-sized Scythe w/ “Underworld” sky-box reflection
Character aura – -a haunting pale green w/ a few pale “spirit lights” floating around
Footfall effects – small piles of bones and a creepy hand reaches out to snag you
Effect on equip – large patch of cracked ground leaking the pale green light that becomes the player aura
Unique sound/look to use: whispered silence (soft wind, no character grunts, etc), “haunts” your class effects (black mesmer butterflies, trades necro “black fire scythe” for black fire “spirit lights” floating around, turns guardian from blue fire to pale green fire, etc.

Class : Name
Engineer: Doomsday Dan

Legendary name – Extreme Prejudice
Basic description – Steam powered Heavy Assault Cannon (a gatling gun that looks proper when fired by an engie)
Character aura – a thin viel of smoke
Footfall effects – smokey boot prints (heavier footfall sound)
Effect on equip – gun shoots steam out its side exhausts
Unique sound/ammo – A proper deep heavy shell shot sound and a larger shell.

See, I like SBs honestly, but after playing my mes for a while, I’ve just come to really appreciate the 1h weps for trading out functionality. The reason I’d like MH pistol is to both dual wield pistol and have a ranged option to combine with OH Sword, pistol and Focus. OH sword is a block and a 1200 ranged phant (one of the best), so i’d probably roll that alongside pistol, so long as it works well as a midranged power wep.

I suppose we COULD dual wield focus… (foci?) but that’s a bit outside the box. Full reflect tank? Could be fun

I also agree that for what GS does, a rifle would have probably worked (looked) better, but to be honest, if Rifle worked like the current GS, I’d still avoid it for the most part. I think daggers would end up being more like “throwing daggers” to stay with the “mesmer theme”. If’n we’re gonna gut someone, we gotta be doin it with style.

Where's our speed boost?

in Mesmer

Guardian.5142

So… I seem to be addicted to Centaur runes and MoR. ;P I could go Traveller and yes, it would be quite lovely to not have to worry about it, but there’s a few things stopping me.

- Centaur doesn’t just grant me swiftness, it grants folks around me swiftness. 3 clicks of it before a short cooldown and you can charge mantras on the run. Not only am I rarely left behind, but I help stragglers alongside me.
- MoR takes several delayed clicks to get the most out of it, which trains you to use it often, combined with added swiftness with every click.
- talent makes MoR cure conditions, so… lets say someone snares me. If I have it charged, I get a heal, a condi removal and swiftness all in one click. The charge time can be annoying, but its a small price to pay for 3 swiftness/condi removals and two heals with a short CD.
- some JPs its nice to have slower running speed and sprint just when you need it. /shrug. Personal preference.

For the price, Centaur is pretty awesome and I absolutely recommend it with MoR for any Mes. I’ll move to Traveler at some point, because 25% all of the time can be better than a 33% afterburner that takes several clicks. I’d also be more open to it if I didn’t have plans for that 60 extra G expense.

oh and I’ve not been able to use focus for swiftness most of the time. Its like I use 4 underneath me and it doesn’t register for some reason. I prefer my current setup and keep focus 4 open for reflects, etc.

Supporting the Game & Spending my money

If you want to support the game, please post educated, well thought out ideas on the forums in places the devs don’t have to dig. They look here. They listen. If you ask me, they need to dial back the LS content to about a month per and give their guys a break to make sure the quality is there. Meanwhile, make 800 gem reusable gathering/salvaging tools and a whole catalogue of in-game armor sets, weapons and town clothes with DEALS rather than deadlines for temporary purchase. They’ll make plenty of money and maybe keep more folks interested.

I’m a dirty casual. 300g to me is like a life savings :P

Before I’m poked at for not making more money, I do maybe 1 or 2 dungeons a day and the daily. I know doing 15 dungeons a day and 20 JPs might net me lots of shinies, but then I would not be, by definition, a dirty casual.. Also not complaining about TP rates or making easy money. At the time, I just kept seeing threads about folks having really great luck and getting easy gold, so I just figured I’d test my luck…. which was indeed very bad. So… good to know

What exactly do you guys do to keep interest?

Guardian.5142

I actually stopped playing in Feb due to just… boredom. I looked at SW:TOR and folks said the personal stories in that were awesome do I did, and it was fun for a few months/maxed chars. Then I tried Panda-land in WoW to sorta catch up from where I left off years ago. Ended up in about the same spot I was when I quit the last time, so I came back to GW2. Been back since… august? and I’m pretty satisfied (or at least sated) to have a game I can play without feeling like if I don’t log in, I’m wasting money.

To answer your question: I’ve actually found things to do in game that I enjoy and a good group of guildies that I enjoy doing them with. Things I did upon my return:

- Picked a “main character” – At first, I went through my previously maxed characters and maxed a few others until I settled on a main that I really wanted to focus on. This ended up being my Mesmer. I started mixing and matching armors to find “my” look, rather than just the shiniest. I see people layering shiny upon shiny these days, but sometimes the best thing to improve your look is to hide some of your armor and use cheaper, thematic weapons that fit. Make your light armor look medium or heavy. See how far you can take things with the tools you’re given.

- Started doing dailies for laurels for ascended trinks. Spent the 100 for the endless mystery cat tonic (SO worth it) and then started picking out trinks to grow into. I’ll eventually craft ascended weps and armor, but this makes for a good long term goal.

- Started working on a legendary. Thinking I’m saving the pre for close to the end as the new legendaries may come out before I"m able to get all my T6 together and… lets face it, playing a “darker” character there’s really only Twilight, Predator and Incinerator and as a Mes who doesn’t prefer GS, this vexes me. Anet may have new legendaries use the same mats as the old, and so long as I don’t tie myself down to one, I can change my mind later.

- LS achieves. Mixes things up, if I’m interested in the content. Krait tower is pretty cool. Storywise, I’d love to be able to quality control test some of the content before they send it out, but as long as they keep putting a “skip to the end” button, its not that bad.

- Guild stuffs. I run with CTH on Maguuma and really enjoy doing things with them. A good GL and good group of folks (with various mixes of priorities) can make a game that much more fun to log in and play. We do Guild missions from time to time, WvW, dungeon runs.. just normal stuff. Most folks are happy to help, make good conversation and all that makes the game much more enjoyable, less of a grind. …and they put up with my noob kitten , so that helps.

Overall, these are just my reasons for playing and things I find fun. They might not last forever, but for now, they’ll do. The way I play fits my RL and I space things out with RL goals, so the game stays… just a game.

@Guardian. I think you DID hit the spot. I liked this the moment I saw it no joke. Why? Because it is so simple, yet very delicate, detailed, mysterious, subtle, and Mesmerizing all combined into one. I feel like you have created a look that says THIEF, but has this aura of being a MESMER. I feel like you are the best out of the last 5+ pages in my opinion.

Thanks. The chest and legs have a leathery surface to them that makes them very good for folks who don’t prefer the look of cloth. I may not stay with the CoF gloves/boots if I decide to move towards a cooler colored look. HotW gloves/boots are a pretty good fit for those that want this look sans the flames.

Also, midnight fire and midnight ice have secondary colors that show up differently on different armor. My whole set is midnight fire only and my legs end up being red/brown, but Whispers chest is really dark. If I go cooler, I’ll probably do midnight ice only.

A lot of good sets here on folks! Thanks for the many great ideas!

@OP

I have both Mes and Engie at 80 and I like each in different ways. Depending on what you want to do, they are really quite different classes to play.

Mes-
- more single targeted burst dps, although sword/focus CAN work with cleave and iWarden.
- lots of utility
- phantasms are like disposable turrets (esp iDuelist) on a much lower spawn CD, so you can use them and be more mobile. most of them follow the enemy if they move out of range (except warden)
- lots of escapes, both skills like decoy and your own skill at using clones to distract enemies.
- slowest class, but there are ways around that (runes)

  • my preferred PVE build – phantasm build sc/pistol – sw/sw

Engie –
- more AOE centered sustained dps.
- similar utility (in different ways)
- Turrets are stationary and I’m not a big fan of the dynamic (long CDs)
- potions and gadgets for fun for buffs and escapes
- speedy kits feels like rowing… even set up kits to Q and E to alternate kits.

  • my preferred build – FT/EG – Yes, I know its ‘nades or nuthin’, but.. meh. FT is more fun :P. though nades underwater is also quite fun

Truth be told, I really like both. I have a warrior too and yes, I realize its more powerful, but both mes and engie are more fun for me to play… I get where you are coming from with the thief. Try the engie. See if you like it… experiment with different kits to see how you like the way they play. Check out the “Dec patch notes” for each class to see if anything is changing that you care about.

More Mesmer Themed Armor

in Mesmer

Posted by: Guardian.5142

Guardian.5142

You know, I’ve been trying to think of what makes up a “mesmer theme”… and almost everything I see them point us towards in game make us look like stage magicians. That does fit, to an extent… its just… not enough for me personally.

What I would like to see is something more elemental… something that embraces chaos and illusion within the context of themes (good/newt/evil)… to that end, I’d offer this as reference… (some of these are debatable as to where they fit, but you get the idea).

Chaotic good – http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChaoticGood
- Batman – a hero suit (w/ actual pants), possible muscle definition. Cape (probably not doable right now, but w/e, its BA)
- Barbarian hero – overly manly meme + Norn male = welcome to the gun show
- Gambit – basically a step between whats already in game…and batman. (why don’t mesmers do anything with playing cards or dice again?)

Chaotic neutral – http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChaoticNeutral
- Pirate – because leather armor classes shouldn’t have all the kitten ed fun
- Ninjas – because human only ninja armor is racist… and f* pirates…

Chaotic evil – http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChaoticEvil
- Joker – formal suit that can be dyed to mis-matched colors + warpaint
- Anarchists – the tattered resistance figher, wide brim hat, overcoat/straps/pockets
- Harlequin – Dark jester tights w/ jester hat

Also, realize when I’m using batman or something as a reference, I’m not expecting ANet to actually do that… just a kitten hero costume that avoids copyright infringement Even if you disapprove of my examples, I’d like to hear other’s ideas for what counts for a good mesmer look.

Mesmers! Best Phantasms for PvE and why?

@cure – You’ll want to try everything. See what works best for you. I ran GS and S/P for the longest time and loved it. Its not ideal for everything, but its good to see what your class is capable of w/ all options. Check the stickied thread at the top about builds. You want as much to strengthen your phantasms as you can

That being said, with a lot of world events, you might start with ranged weapons, but you’ll want to learn how to melee. Learn how to use distortion effect and agro control to your benefit and learn when to dodge. If you don’t feel comfortable in melee, switch to GS or Scepter range and let the haters hate. If you do go Scepter, you might want to turn off Scepter AA (#1) because it’ll overwrite phantasms if you have 3 currently out (but it’ll leave the others alone and just keep replacing the one clone it makes each time).

There is a good reason why folks are so prickly about melee deeps being the only way to go. You get a cleave with every swing, hitting multiple targets and melee in this game will always do more damage than ranged (a risk v reward thing). If you can learn to stay in there close, timing your evades and blocks to hit the heavy stuff, you’ll do a lot more damage faster than anyone ranged, but… downed dps is all ranged. So… play how it best suits you. If you want to, try the champ train through Queensdale with each set to see how each situationally works for you. It also gives you a chance to practice melee skills and situational awareness in a place where 20 people can rez you so you can get better before you do a dungeon where 4 other folks will really depend on you staying up.

I would say GS is fine. Not the best, but it gets the job done. ESPECIALLY tagging in events… Just like Necro marks/wells, engie bombs/nades, guardian staff, warrior rifle/bow… if it works to tag something faster without putting yourself in danger of downing, its all good. Don’t get suckered into believing everything is either awesome or its kitten. If you have 5 or 10 seconds to get a few good hits on a mob before it goes down, you do what you have to do. Go Zerker full for your equip and Scholar’s or Ruby Orbs to maximize what damage you can do with each wep set. Buy the rare versions of each weapon you want to try before committing to exotics if you aren’t sure what you like and aren’t swimming in gold..

The Mes is an awesome class. Enjoy.

I sort of buck the trend as a Male Norn Mesmer

I, too, felt like char and norn were too big and lumbering, so I made the shortest, widest norn I could. He ends up still being a bit bigger and brawnier than a human male without moving and turning like a battleship.

As for looking masculine…two words, ladies, “brick kittenhouse”….now with Poopourri. You can smell the pink butterflies on this one! Manliness and confidence go hand in hand and there’s no reason in my mind why any well adjusted man would turn down the kittenery of the Mesmer just because the spells are pink. On top of that, pink is the breast cancer awareness color, so with every spell you cast, its like you’re celebrating the saving of kittens everywhere. You can’t lose!

As for why all the love for girls, I have to second about the lackluster guy clothes. Its pretty much all robes and nobleman’s garb. The ladies, OTOH, get to show off skin. Its almost like shopping for Halloween constumes. For every ghost, devil or vampire, there’s a sexy ghost, sexy devil and sexy vampiress costume for the ladies.

I’m rocking Dry Bones armor w/ CoF gaunts/boots for the sheer kittenery of it, but for a while I dug the Order of Whispers line to look like the “mime” class from the FF series. Honestly, pale as I am, I would still go full tilt Hulk if I had the option to hide my chest piece and gloves. I’m Norn. I’m proud of my tats. That, and can we “really” make an argument about damage absorbion and skin coverage when T3 human female medium armor sacrifices material that would otherwise cover a woman’s heart for a chance to see some underboob? Really? If the one of the softest vital points on a woman can take the business end of a spear just because its situated in the general vicinity of exotic armor, the granite mountainside that is my chest should be OK for a few stab wounds as long as I’m sporting my +1 exotic codpiece….and some dockers… Lets be civilized.

Anet, if you’re listening, you need to work on the light male armors…. something men look good in…. Aetherblade (minus a few pieces) was a good start. Phoenix…. meh. Nothing to write home about. When you are making an armor set that looks sexy on a woman, when you make the guy’s version, especially the Norn’s, ask yourself, am I looking at a man who can break me in half with his mind? Would such a BAMF wear this? Would someone ever bother to make a Skyrim mod just to use this armor? Could I possibly RP a Bleach character w/ in game armors? Could I ever be mistaken for the Slenderman? or Deadpool? (on that note: MH pistols! DO EET NOW!) In summary, you’d find far more men playing male mesmers if your end game “looks” were more kitten than boobs and butts (Tall order, I know, but worthwhile).

TL:DR – The male Mesmer is one bad motherkittener who can turn everything below your neck into a plate of spaghetti… with his MIND o_o And the last thing you’ll ever see is the fluttering of pink motherkittening butterflies from the clones he just shattered your kitten with… and when the last smirking clone shatters… and he’s nowhere to be seen… you’ll wonder if he ever existed at all. THAT, is how awesome the male motherkittening mesmer is… that man deserves the feel of a good suit.

Jon, I’m still waiting for a Mainhand Pistol

To me that would remove the issues you guys currently have with the Scepter’s identity crisis and its very awkward auto-chain. Having a Mainhand Pistol would allow you to turn the Scepter into a true condition weapon while allowing the Pistol to become a viable choice for power based attacks.

(And it would finally give Mesmers a means to wield both Lyss and Ilya at the same time)

THIS. The whole time I read through this entire thread wondering, did anyone finally bring this up? I know the original question from Jon was what to do with Scepters, but this fits completely with the class and allows power/condi to use fully supported weapons per their builds. It solves his problem and mine. I need something to compliment my love of pistol OH without the limp noodle Scepter AA is for a power build.

Some ideas: (before I get started, yes I am crazy, no I am not ashamed and no I won’t care if you are brutally honest and hurt my feelings, because ‘normally’ they grow back. I’m an emotional starfish? …Yes… yes I am.)

- Scepter mainhand – with so many new mesmery things being added with the Krait Tower, why not allow some incorporation? For example:
SC1-1 – same damage + confusion
SC1-2 – same damage + confusion
SC1-3 – spawns a clone from the caster’s position that charges the target then explodes, to add AOE Confusion

THEN – New confusion change – at X stacks of confusion, target is affected by the trippy krait tower mind-altering spell for 5 seconds and all confusion stacks drop.

….I will add more later. Trying to stay focused here, but all of the things NPC mesmers are able to do make me completely jealous… and if we are trying to up the kittenery of this class a notch in the process, why not take from what is already in game.

The color could be better, but it works pretty well for mine and didn’t costs much. Beaded Claymore. A few clipping issues, but for now it looks pretty good.
