This thread is either going to blow up or turn into a circle jerk. Either way, I can’t wait.

No, you literally run away. Like, run until we catch you or until you get out of combat and waypoint or head to a tower/keep. We understand trying to get to higher ground or a better position. But a some of you guys have just been bailing on fights despite having a number advantage.

My favorite thing to do is kill players who think a buffed supervisor will protect them. I just love shattering that illusion they have of safety.

What…? That is exactly what’s happening now. It’s WvWvW, you already have two opponents. Just because they’re working together doesn’t make it game breaking, it’s simply a challenge for you to overcome. I find it highly unlikely that the devs weren’t smart enough to think or even consider the possibility that servers might team up. I mean, cmon, THIS IS WAR. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, ya know?

It’s up to the servers to coordinate themselves to attack one server and to stop the impending drama once they attempt to form an alliance.

If you’re going to say Yak’s and Mag are possible T4, I wouldn’t say Ehmry is T4. Ehmry lacks the numbers and coordination for T4, they wouldn’t and don’t stand a chance, even after the loss of our fair weathers. Dunno how they’re doing in T5 though.

CD is definitely T4, your strong oceanic presence gives you the numbers and lead you need over the other servers and to stand a fighting chance in the tier.

Barely seen any of the good late night CD guilds so far in this matchup. Normally there are multiple coordinated guilds running at night.

Yes, that’s almost certainly a “fight club”.

People pick a spot to meet and engage in 1v1 duels inside WvW while everyone else stands around and watches. I think it’s terribly stupid and I never hesitate to break up a fight club if I have enough people with me (red is dead) but there’s not much you can do about it if you run into one without realizing it.

They might have failed that attempt but its not like we have been doing better with our golem rushes this week :P

The amount of golem rushes this weekend alone on the SBI keep in EB is comical. 5, 7, 10 golems at a time and your huge zerg doing the same tactic over and over and repeatedly getting owned by lesser number. Can you all do anything in EB without twice our numbers and golems? The answer be no.

Also, props to Werty and the crew yesterday in SBI BL that held off, yes another Mag golem rush at our keep, while CD was in hills with a treb and about 30+ zerg. We had about 25 people and had to leave hills to beat back mag at our watergate then ported back to hills to push CD out. Ty for the double team, much fun was had.

SBI and CD have been doing the same thing, especially SBI, so maybe you should try asking yourself that question.

Honestly I’m sick of the golems from Maguuma, it may be due to a few people with deep pockets this week but this is not how we normally roll. I can understand if Mag wants to have fun, (I don’t see the fun in golem rushes but whatever) but all these golems keep SBI and CD on the defensive, and then no one comes fight.

I played this weekend, I was there for many of the failed east keep attempts. We even held an attack off while outmanned at first, then just outnumbered. SBI made a bunch of mistakes that I feel could only be chalked up to that group being purely pugs or new to WvW. It was almost mesmerizing, I’ve nicknamed SBI ESF because of that, I can’t went to tell Bony how it all went down.

ANet wants people to zerg, hence World vs World. Offering a “fix” is telling them to acknowledge a problem they don’t believe exists.

Ask on the forum which servers need NA/Oceanic players. There are many. For example, Maguuma needs Oceanic players. We’re in t4 only because a lot of NA players don’t want to be in T3 where we lose everything overnight.

Ever heard of this thing called server pride? It may be difficult to come by in the bandwagon network that is the upper tiers. Basically it means this: I do not care if I am the last person in FC, I will stay here and I will keep fighting.

Seriously though, elementalist offers a multitude of builds, skills, and options for how you want to play. Eles also have a passive speed boast if you’re really into that. They are great healers, can make decent bunkers, good burst damage, and loads of options for AoE. The best thing you can do it roll one of each, head to the Heart of the Mists, and try them out. Yes, I’m aware that it isn’t the same as WvW, but it will give you a feel of each class and what it can offer.

I don’t know about you but I don’t find ignorance funny at all.

Not everyone is interested in zerg vs zerg wars. While you’re guaranteed battles at all hours of the clock it’s the quality of the fight that matters. Some people don’t want 2-3 hour keep sieges or open field fights where you have 30 other safety nets and all you have to do is AoE or auto attack.

I may be on a server that doesn’t have much of an oceanic presence but after getting a taste of T1 and T2 WvW I honestly want nothing to do with that. There are positives and negatives for being in every tier, the only real negative for servers is the inability to calculate coverage.

Ah, I missed the sarcasm then. The majority of eles do go with the most common build but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and hope that they will try anything/everything and play what they enjoy, not just what is popular or the easiest.

I should have added classes that don’t have unavoidable “buffs.” I mean the ones you have to depend on the player’s choice of signets/armor/weapons as the giveaway.

I’ve seen bunny ears, boxing gloves, shades, and the mad king costume in WvW before (on my teammate though). And you are definitely able to wear your town clothes. For those talking about not being able to know what the class is, learn to identify armor, weapons, and signets. I’ve yet to have a problem knowing what class a certain player is without targeting or glancing at them. Thieves are the easiest because a good majority uses the passive speed boost.

For me it’s more like an ex-boyfriend deal. Where I Facebook stalk you and silently judge your new relationships, hoping they fail and you realize there is nothing that’s going to be better than me.

Despite this matchup being the mother of all coverage imbalances, I’m having fun. I’ve been fighting outmanned when I play and though it’s annoying it’s not at painful as it used to be.

Correct me if I’m wrong but hasn’t CD always had a strong oceanic presence that they were being carried by? The oceanics would turn everything to paper then the NA would just mop stuff up, or hold what they have because it’s upgraded and the enemies’ is paper. And isn’t the main reason you don’t have a good NA prime presence is because they jumped shipped to a different server? If all of the above are true then it’s not backwards, there is a reason for it.

If you don’t have a strong attachment to your server, playing on one that coincides with your play time might be best.

Maguuma has been going overboard with golems, and I am not a fan of it. But I haven’t seen us act as silly as SBI does with their golems. Their attempt at east keep yesterday morning was completely wasteful. “Golems, go! Did we get through the gate? There’s five arrow carts behind it and they’re repairing? Throw more golems? How about now? No? Throw the same amount of golems plus more. Now? MORE golems!”

That’s not true anymore with the drop rate being changed. Guardian, Ele, and Warrior all have weapon skills that can be easily used to tag players and get credit.

That’s because we were farming. Hence the word, until we were outmanned. Yeah, as soon as we got the buff, that’s when CD’s numbers grew and they started pushing. It’s not a surprise, the oceanic prime time presence of Mag doesn’t except to hold SM nor did we want to.

Fun farming at SMC this morning, then we got outmanned and was zergged out.

Props to KA small group in Mag at SW camp. Sadly, we got more people than we wanted fighting you guys since pugs starting joining in. But it’s hard to give you must respect since your spam laugh at taking out uplevels and randoms, but that’s CD in a nutshell.

Show up to Fight Club some time, you might actually find an organized group to rival you.

But I was also confused by our response. I logged on in the middle of that and we only had 2-3 of us on TS that were responding to the ninja. The rest were pugs with tunnel vision on that tower I guess. Calls for defense were ignored. And we were slow to get eyes on where and how many there were.

We may have had more ppl on the map but we had very few ppl paying attention and trying to defend. It shouldn’t happen but it does.

I didn’t notice the emotes….didn’t come from those that were on TS I think….but that happens too. You can’t apply the attitude from some to a whole server. I certainly didn’t feel “superior” at that moment. But was relieved we finally responded enough to stop the ninja at Garrison at least. =/

Just to shed some more light on the situation that day. I was at garrison when the attacks came. The folks that were attacking the SW tower were following a commander tag I’m not familiar with. I don’t know if this was a new commander, or just one that doesn’t show as often during the times that I normally get to play, but I’m going to assume “new.” I was the engineer that liked to drop the mortar and use grenades from the wall, by the way.

Anyway, shortly after the garrison was saved, bay was under heavy attack. That particular commander de-tagged. I didn’t see any comment about leaving the game, taking tag off to take a break, or turn over to anyone else. I saw no communication in that regard. I also noticed that the person didn’t leave the map… so I’m very very confused as to why they would take off their tag during a time when we needed leadership most (get organized to defend a valuable capture point.) This is why I think “new” as mentioned before. There wasn’t a lot of organization or commanding going on that day while I was on

You clearly didn’t read team chat at all, there was a full conversation on it and mumble. The commander explained what happened, why it happened, why they were leaving, and even tried to rally someone else to take over. As I said, the entire point of being on SBI BL was because I was being petty about their actions on Mag BL. It was not a serious attempt and there wasn’t a bit of organization and very little communication. But if you were in mumble you would have heard the commanders hesitation to go for garrison as it was fully upgraded and would require “effort.”

I’m assuming you are confused. I’m from SBI. We don’t use mumble… I was most definitely on the community teamspeak for SBI borderland and there was nothing said about why this particular commander was de-tagging. There was also nothing in map / team chat about it that I could see, and I was watching both.
