Good to get some North camp farming in before we leave. I always say there’s no way this is gonna work, these guys are not gonna let us farm them so close to their spawn. But then we do… for hours. Then we do it the next day.
How is it gonna be a blowout? Maguuma has lost a good majority of its bangwagoners and share an uneven presence throughout the day just like the other two servers. The current scores show we are at an equal level (in terms of numerical scores) with the projected servers as well.

I would propose that none of the 1vX stories are anything to gloat about. o;

We weren’t talking about any other “1vX stories”. We were talking about yours. There are 1vX stories that are funny, entertaining, impressive, and/or insightful. Yours was “I’m a mesmer in the water and I survived for x amount of time against x people. I am so good, they are so bad.” The most stereotypical story you can get.
How many FA does it take to kill one mesmer in the water?
My path was a lot longer as well since I started getting chased from the back of the keep. Did you really need to send that many to take out one tiny Asura? That’s just mean.
Everyone knows mesmers are gods underwater. Stay alive for that long as an ele underwater and you’ll get a lot more respect.
Bah that’s not an excuse two of those chasing me were mesmers as well I got mesmer sunk and whirlpooled at least 5 times. That was all survivability.
Yeah, which mesmers excel at, even underwater. Just about everyone that has played a mesmer has done the juke and loop with 5+ people underwater. Sorry dude/dudette, you’re not a special snowflake.

See you say that but lots of times when FA has numbers, they’ll attack Maguuma and leave DB completely alone, especially during oceanic prime times when they knew Maguuma doesn’t have a crew but DB does.. It’s quite the sight.
I do think their is a difference though. In open field combat many times one team is not properly ready to face the other team. What i was proposing was two teams ready to face each other and there is no “surprise” on the other team. Only coordination and knowing how to use your character and what skill combo’s to use with your team mates will win that battle.
I’ll agree to your 1v1, bring whoever you want. If we win, I’d enjoy a 15v15. Hopefully, you see what I am saying. Pick a time and a borderlands. Evening EST works best for us.
There is hardly a “surprise” in finding a group of 15-20 people in WvW. Whether you’re facing one person or fifty, everyone should have an idea what their build can do. Especially when you’re in a group with 19 other safety nets.
Edit: When everyone starts waking up, I’ll talk to my guild about the duels and zerg battle.

Fine, that works with me. I personally am not good at 1v1 or 5v5, however, I do have a few sPvPer’s that would love your challenge.

Of all the 1v1ers I know, none of them like or prefer sPvP. There is a big difference between it and WvW duels. There is no difference, however, between 20vs20 and normal WvW open field fights.

They are not “talentless.” Moving in groups that greatly outnumber your opponents tends to bring the effort level down of the average player. The encounters I’ve had have been less than impressive, but until I see a roaming group or how they fair in fight club, I can’t make a proper assumption.
War Machine though, I kinda refuse to believe the things I’ve heard. People make they out to be absolutely cowardly and terrible. And while our skirmishes tonight have slightly proven that, I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and try to face them duuring NA prime time.

No one was in the borderland…. Mag had the outmanned buff and everyone moved to EBG. Please tell me how difficult or fun capping the BL must have been. With zero being the least difficult, on a scale of zero to zero, please.

Sooooo, was BT having a bad night at SW camp on Mag just now? Because I heard so many good things on the forums, but I’m really disappointed. Or did our guys already learn their tricks? This was my first time fighting them and it wasn’t hard to call out what they were doing. Don’t overextend and we win. When they would finally come to us, we wipe them or push them back. They ball up in a corner or hide behind a structure, and hope for someone to come after them or attempt a flank. This repeated for more than 5 times.
Too too too predictable. These tactics will only take out pugs and anyone unfamiliar with fighting against groups that outnumber you and/or have tight communications. Hopefully BT has more up their sleeves, because that was seriously just unimpressive. I’m not trying to be rude, it’s just that it was such a stark difference than from what I’ve heard, that I’m in awe.

I’m sorry but I was at that camp – there was literally 8 BT there, 1 guy from OBEY, me (the PRO mesmer) and one guy who wasn’t repping a tag. You had a lot of troops, siege and NPC guards. They were just screwing around, I wasn’t even in comms with them. I don’t even normally play during BT’s time slot, so I’m not even going to comment on their “mmo skill level”; it’s kind of cute how fired up you are about it though – if I was them I would be flattered when someone rushed on the forum to post about me! Their group had a bad time in the SW camp? Dunno, seemed like they were having fun. Wouldn’t they just not come back if they were having a bad time?
Fired up? They should feel flattered, I keep a log of guilds to look out for. I enjoy good fights, not farming people. If they had a good time, that’s all that matters then. I just won’t be looking forward to fighting them anymore then.
Ah hem, it was you guys on Maguuma that were kittening about BT – not BT bragging about its skills. Go read the last few pages. I’m glad you guys won a fight though. That has to feel pretty good.

People troll because they can, and because people will pay attention to them even for a sliver of a moment. The best you can do is report, ignore, and get back to wiping your butts with their faces in WvW.
For what it’s worth, we made huge strides over the last couple weeks because we dominated dead servers. Tonight we’re up against two strong servers, and holding our own. At least in EBG we’ve been handed a “warm” welcome to tier 3 and clearly ganged up on, pinballing back and forth from North to Southeast fighting off DB zerg after FA zerg and I don’t recall seeing either of those servers taking land from each other for the 4 or 5 hours I was in tonight.
This is more fun. This is far better than what we’d had for a while now, enjoy it.
The fights in the Lord room of SM were a lot of fun.
We were overhyped, but that doesn’t mean we don’t belong here. I don’t know all this about so many transfers over the last few weeks, the same commanders I’m used to seeing were leading and the people that are used to following them were doing so. Enough with the troll posts. Lift your heads up Maguuma, you belong at this level among good competition and who knows where the week will end.
I think maguuma has creted a bad rep for themselves. Some are humble, others blatantly kitteny, others hide their arrogance by “trying” to be polite to those server it just steamrolled, but letting them know they are clearly better.
I don’t think there’s any question about this. There’s also the fact that many of the person we’ve faced are crying babies and take the first chance they get to sling mud at us. Jesse Cox ring a bell? Yeah, lots of people are like that. Entire guilds of servers are like that. We simply don’t make an effort to correct them.
In regards to the post you quoted, no, we don’t belong here. We didn’t fight our way here, and climb by aiming to be the best and winning. We faced dead servers, and got bandwagoned to T3. We also have a heap of commanders and pubs that are clueless. Saying anything otherwise is foolish.
I think the score at the end of the week may speak otherwise. No, I don’t want to be a Tier 1 server either, but I sure don’t want to fall back to steamroll mode like we were the last couple weeks. Good competition makes for a more entertaining WvW experience. Yes, I do still believe we deserve to be here, or at least a solid tier 4 team, let’s just see how the week progresses before you tell me I’m foolish.
I didn’t say you were foolish, I said what you said was. We got here by punching kids who were already crying about their scrapped knees on the blacktop. Whether we win or lose won’t matter in this tier, the way we got here was cheap
